GHs Isaiah/Curtis Fight vs. Y&Rs Nate/Devon's

General Hospital is drawing inspiration from The Young and the Restless, particularly concerning Isaiah's current storyline. Curtis's actions following his accusation against Isaiah mirror a similar dynamic observed on Y&R, where Nate Hastings' career was negatively impacted after Devon Hamilton's violent reaction to his relationship with Elena.

Surrogacy Twist Stories on Soaps

Dr. Britt Westbourne gave birth to Rocco on General Hospital, acting as the surrogate. The birth details include: The Biological Parents: Rocco is the biological child of Dante Falconeri and Lulu Spencer. The Surrogate: Britt stole one of Lulu and Dante's frozen embryos and implanted it into herself. The Birth: Britt carried the pregnancy and gave birth to the baby (initially named Ben) before the truth came to light and Dante and Lulu took custody of him, renaming him Rocco.

A similar story occurred on Days of Our Lives, with Kristen, who was played by Eileen Davidson at the time, doing the same thing to Theresa Donovan. In 2014, Kristen kidnapped a pregnant Theresa Donovan, stole the embryo, and implanted it into her own womb. Kristen then fled to Italy, where she gave birth to the baby and named him Christopher (who was later renamed Tate Donovan Black once he returned to his biological parents, Theresa and Brady Black).

Does this storyline highlight the dark side of surrogacy and the lengths some characters will go to for family, creating dramatic tension and ethical dilemmas within the soap opera narratives.

The Bold & the Beautiful

Last Week...

[Spoiler] comes *this-close* to catching Dylan and Remy — plus, Brooke wants one more teensy favor from Ridge. But instead, he dives right in and attempts to do damage control in the aftermath of his decision to back Steffy, not Brooke. At the same time, Steffy is yet again caught off guard. “What now?” we can just hear her saying. Remy wants a clean slate, and he wants Dylan to get it for him. But she’s no pushover and urges him to steer clear.

Hope accuses Brooke of letting her down,n and Steffy shocks Taylor. As Brooke delivers bad news to Hope — “Mama’s not gonna be able to green-light your line” — Zende comes to an understanding about his future at Forrester. That is, if he has one. Even after all these years, Taylor is still learning about Brooke. In fact, the shrink gains a new understanding of her longtime rival.

Hope confronts Steffy, and Dylan gives Electra shocking news. When Hope demands answers from Steffy, she may not like the ones that she gets. Electra learns a shocking truth. Considering how often Remy has snuck into Forrester lately, could it possibly be that he’s Dylan’s cousin?

Katie needs a final answer from Hope: Is she joining Logan or not?

Tuesday, May 26:

Brooke is stoked about Hope For the Future returning to Forrester (which we take as a sure sign that Hope is defecting).

Will makes R.J. the victim of a low blow. Then again, R.J. kinda has it coming, as obnoxious as he’s been to his cousin.

Wednesday, May 27:

Bill summons someone from the past to help expand the Logan brand — and this is who it is!

Rather than learn to play well with others, R.J. pleads with Daddy and Steffy to fire Will.

Thursday, May 28:

Electra has exciting news to share with Dylan. But if it’s that she’s reunited with Will, Dylan may not be able to share that excitement.

Things are finally looking up for Deke. Hmm… so again, it sounds like Hope signs that contract after all!

The Young & the Restless

Last Week...

Patty gives Matt advice — and Sharon doles out a dire warning to Phyllis. Considering what his son has been through — and is still going through — Victor understandably questions Nick’s judgment. Though Adam and Chelsea largely try to take the high road these days, that doesn’t stop them from plotting against a rival. Sharon gives Phyllis unsolicited advice. Which is pretty much the only kind of advice the therapist can give since she’s never had a client… has she?

Phyllis rocks Matt’s world, and Devon surprises Mariah. If Devon and Mariah are discussing forgiveness, why is he sliding a piece of paper across the table toward her like he’s making the final offer on a business deal? Daniel tries to get Phyllis and Cricket to bury the hatchet. And that’s nice and all, but it doesn’t change the fact that Phyllis stole Newman and the D.A possesses (faked) evidence of the crime. Dubbing herself a tour guide, Patty helps Matt Clark navigate Genoa City. What could possibly go wrong?

Phyllis knocks Matt out, and Victoria grills Nick. Victor orders Michael to strike back against a foe. Sorry, but does Michael have the worst job in Genoa City? Victoria confronts Nick about his recovery. Sally worries that Billy’s past is going to catch up with him — and jeopardize their future.

Matt goes missing, and Jack shocks Nikki. Putting up a united front, Victor and Nikki set their differences aside long enough to try to help Nick. Read our preview to find out why Phyllis will melt down as a result! Lily arrives in New York. This can’t be good: Jack has a change of heart about Patty. How many seconds until you think he’ll regret it?

Patty turns on Matt, and Phyllis is backed into a corner. Hope Nikki’s wearing comfortable shoes, because she’s about to stand her ground. Holden and Claire’s trip takes an unexpected turn. Oh dear. Jack makes a bad decision — one that could have lasting ramifications!

Coming Up...

Victor gets the upper hand on Phyllis, Victoria reaches out to Jack, Cane manages to surprise Lily yet again, and at last, we get an update on Malcolm’s condition.

Monday, May 25:

Today’s episode is a repeat of the one from July 3, 2019. The description almost sounds like it’s current: Victor makes a dangerous decision, Victoria plots her revenge against Phyllis, and romance blooms for Devon and Elena.

Tuesday, May 26:

As if he needed any, Victor gains even more leverage against Phyllis. Is it time she admitted she was defeated and waved the white flag?

If we were Sally, we might have hurried to tell Adam ourselves. But instead, Billy is the one who will inform his significant other’s ex of her pregnancy.

Patty makes a distress call about Jack.

Wednesday, May 27:

Lily and Cane were married twice and have known each other for decades, and somehow, she still manages to see him in yet another new light.

Abby makes a promise to Devon.

Addiction takes its toll on Nick, as his very life hangs in the balance.

Thursday, May 28:

As Victor makes a shocking decision to help Nick, Victoria seeks Jack’s help. Coincidence? We suspect not.

Holden and Stephanie receive news on Malcolm’s condition.

Nikki is haunted by her dreams. But on the plus side, at least it sounds like she’s getting some sleep.

Friday, May 29:

It’s tough-love time for the Newman family as Victor and Nikki force Nick to face his issues.

Phyllis gives Patty a history lesson — no doubt the snarkiest one in history!

Since there’s never a dull moment over at the Abbott mansion, Kyle gives Jack surprising news about Diane. If only that news were “She’s come to her senses and stopped blaming you for being sexually assaulted by Patty!”

The Bold & the Beautiful

Last Week...

Brooke works her powers of persuasion on Ridge, and Donna forbids Katie from hiring Hope. Doing her best to keep the peace — what little is left of it! — Donna encourages Katie to put family before fashion. Hope’s biggest fan, aka husband Liam, worries that she is second-guessing her future. Brooke puts her wiles to good use as she makes Ridge an offer he can’t resist, much less refuse.

Brooke lays down the law, and Steffy’s floored by Ridge’s request. Doing Brooke’s bidding, Ridge catches Steffy completely off guard. Guess the “family before fashion” advice didn’t get all the way to him. As Brooke debriefs Hope, the younger woman sees a different side of her mother.

Steffy reads Ridge the riot act, and Liam gives Katie and Bill bad news. Steffy’s reaction to Ridge’s suggestion leaves him full of doubts. Maybe this would be a good time for another pine cone to fall on his head? It’s practically the coup all over again as Brooke and Hope create a path forward for themselves.

Dylan extends an olive branch, and Ridge lands on the hot seat. Though Remy remains a major worry, Miss Dylan can distract herself a bit with the new job opportunity she receives at Forrester Creations. Bill and Katie become concerned about Brooke’s power play.

Zende’s been patient for longer than we would’ve. Finally, he grows frustrated with his role at FC. Logan, here he comes? Brooke is hopeful that Ridge will make the right decision. And if he doesn’t, well, she has a closet full of nighties she can use to change his mind!

Coming Up...

Hope is forced to accept her lot at Forrester Creations or take a big gamble and leave for Logan, Zende chokes down his upset for the sake of the fashion house, and Electra… gets a new shock.

Monday, May 18:

Ridge dives right in and attempts to do damage control in the aftermath of his decision to back Steffy, not Brooke.

At the same time, Steffy is yet again caught off guard. “What now?” we can just hear her saying.

Remy wants a clean slate, and he wants Dylan to get it for him. But she’s no pushover and urges him to steer clear.

Tuesday, May 19:

As Brooke delivers bad news to Hope — “Mama’s not gonna be able to green-light your line” — Zende comes to an understanding about his future at Forrester. That is, if he has one.

Even after all these years, Taylor is still learning about Brooke. In fact, the shrink gains a new understanding of her longtime rival.

Wednesday, May 20:

Katie is forced to question why she is working so hard to poach Hope. As if sticking it to Brooke wasn’t good enough motivation!

For the sake of Forrester, Zende, and R.J., put their differences aside.

Thursday, May 21:

When Hope demands answers from Steffy, she may not like the ones that she gets.

Electra learns a shocking truth.

Friday, May 22:

The stakes aren’t just high, they’re nosebleed-high. Not only does Hope’s career at Forrester hang in the balance, but so does Will’s heart.

The Young & the Restless

Last Week...

Nick fights temptation, and Phyllis and Christine square off. Though she probably didn’t need to be nudged in the slightest, Victor recruits Christine in his plot against Phyllis. Getting clean is no mean feat, Nick discovers as he struggles with sobriety. Now aware that Sienna’s murderous husband is in Genoa City and is claiming amnesia, Noah launches a defense against Matt Clark.

Lily threatens Phyllis, and Patty propositions Matt. Nikki is going to put to the test whether she really can tell Jack anything when she makes a shocking confession to her ex-husband and confidant. Adopting a “Go big or go home!” approach, Cane takes a ginormous step with his former wife, Lily. Patty’s chances of winning him over are slim to none, but she still pleads her case to Billy.

Nick plans to kill Matt, and Phyllis has a shocking realization. Rather than leave the job to his crackerjack security team, Victor leads the manhunt for Matt Clark himself. The Newman clan implodes! As Nick struggles, [Spoiler]’s dark demons come calling! Adam not only questions Nick’s recovery, but he also asks his brother if he’s using again. Devon worries about Lily’s decision-making.

Phyllis and Victor negotiate, and Jack recruits Patty. Fearful that his son is backsliding into addiction, Victor gives Nick some tough love. Jack tends to be one step behind his enemies. But for once, he isn’t, as he turns the tables on Patty. Phyllis is in so much hot water that she should probably think twice before setting a trap. But we kinda doubt she even thought about it once! Phyllis is set to turn the tables on Victor – here’s how!

Nick goes rogue, and Lily surprises Cane. It’s always one step forward, two backwards, one to the side with “Lane.” The week ends with Lily catching Cane off guard. Holden and Claire explore new territory — perhaps the streets of Manhattan- when they head to the Big Apple for Malcolm’s surgery. Nick strikes a dangerous deal.

Coming Up...

Jack reconsiders his stance on Patty, Sharon offers guidance that Phyllis would be wise to accept, Lily heads East, and Devon makes an overture toward Mariah. But we kinda doubt it will bring them any closer to hugging it out and putting Dom’s kidnapping behind them?

Monday, May 18:

Considering what his son has been through — and is still going through — Victor understandably questions Nick’s judgment.

Though Adam and Chelsea largely try to take the high road these days, that doesn’t stop them from plotting against a rival.

Sharon gives Phyllis unsolicited advice. Which is pretty much the only kind of advice the therapist can give since she’s never had a client… has she?

Tuesday, May 19:

If Devon and Mariah are discussing forgiveness, why is he sliding a piece of paper across the table toward her like he’s making the final offer on a business deal?

Daniel tries to get Phyllis and Cricket to bury the hatchet. And that’s nice and all, but it doesn’t change the fact that Phyllis stole Newman and the D.A possesses (faked) evidence of the crime.

Patty helps Matt Clark navigate Genoa City.

Wednesday, May 20:

Victor orders Michael to strike back against a foe.

Victoria confronts Nick about his recovery.

Sally worries that Billy’s past is going to catch up with him — and jeopardize their future.

Thursday, May 21:

Putting up a united front, Victor and Nikki set their differences aside long enough to try to help Nick.

Lily arrives in New York.

Jack has a change of heart about Patty.

Friday, May 22:

Hope Nikki’s wearing comfortable shoes, because she’s about to stand her ground.

Holden and Claire’s trip takes an unexpected turn.

Jack makes a bad decision — one that could have lasting ramifications!
