Days of our Lives Spoilers: Truth And Consequences In Salem

The Days of our Lives spoilers for January 11-15, 2021, tease a confrontation of epic proportions, a marriage in limbo, the truth about a heinous attack coming to light, and so much more!

Days of our Lives Spoilers Highlight

A disillusioned Abigail (Marci Miller) confers with her parents and learns the true extent of Gwen’s (Emily O’Brien) deception. She returns to the DiMera mansion, prepared for yet another confrontation with her former nanny, but gets stopped dead in her tracks when Gwen confesses that she manipulated Chad (Billy Flynn) into sleeping with her!

Chad, having just been convinced by Kate (Lauren Koslow) to cut Gwen off at the pass and admit the truth, arrives soon after and learns that his wife is well aware of his infidelity.

He throws Gwen off the estate, then tries to offer Abigail an explanation for his actions. But Abigail isn’t interested. In fact, she isn’t even interested in remaining under the same roof as her cheating spouse. And when Abigail goes, she’s taking the kids with her!

The Truth Fails To Set Charlie Free

Over at University Hospital, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) does her best to soothe a drug-addled Ava (Tamara Braun) who eventually recalls Charlie’s (Mark Manning) confession to raping Allie (Lindsay Arnold).

Rafe (Galen Gering) confronts the young man and accuses him of the crime in addition to poisoning his mother. Claire (Isabell Durant) initially stands by her man, but after she makes an emotional plea for honesty, she’s left feeling dejected and in need of comfort.

At the same time, Tripp (Lucas Adams) is hit with the one-two-punch of learning about his newfound half-brother and Ava’s dicey predicament. He heads to the hospital to check on his mom’s condition, then makes a beeline for Charlie whom he intends to get answers from.

DAYS Odds and Ends

In other Salem news, Belle (Martha Madison) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) return from their honeymoon, while Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) tells Brady (Eric Martsolf) that Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) has been using Titan to launder drug money.

Meanwhile, Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) realize that their babies are missing, and all eyes are on Bonnie (Judi Evans) when she admits to seeing a woman in the hospital parking lot carrying twins. After a sketch artist renders a drawing from Bonnie’s description, the Grants are sure that they recognize the suspect!

Finally, Rafe takes Xander (Paul Telfer) down to the police station, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) warns Justin (Wally Kurth) that he is making a mistake where Bonnie is concerned, and Gabi (Camila Banus) pays Jake (Brandon Barash) a surprise visit.

Suffering Succotash: Can Ava Be Redeemed on Days of our Lives?

Soap operas like Days of our Lives know that the best way to redeem a character is to make them suffer. If they suffer enough, fans will begin to feel sorry for them, and then all their bad deeds are instantly forgiven – voila!

Days of our Lives Polling

See: DiMera, Kristen (Eileen Davidson; now Stacy Haiduk). Or Deveraux, Abigail (Marci Miller). Or Walker, Nicole (Arianne Zucker). We can go on and on. The question is, should Ava (Tamara Braun) get the same treatment? What almost 5,000 fans think:

Go For It

Charlie (Mike Manning) tied Ava to a chair. Ava had some bad dreams, one where she heroically exposed Charlie as Allie’s (Lindsay Arnold) actual rapist, but then Charlie killed Tripp (Lucas Adams), and Steve (Stephen Nichols) showed up to tell Ava she was a bad person. Aw… poor Ava!

Sure, Steve has been telling her pretty much the same thing for literally years, and as recently as last month, but telling her in a heroic dream was particularly brutal. We feel much sads for Ava now, and want her to become a good girl, 70% of you insist out of nowhere. She raped Steve, kidnapped Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), and faked her death so Joey would go to prison? But… sads!

Not In My Lifetime

Uhm, Ava raped Steve, kidnapped Kayla, and faked her death so Joey would go to prison. No, she should not be redeemed, a smaller 30% of the audience contradicts. So she got a little dehydrated, was drugged, had a few hallucinations, and now wants to do the right thing.

Not because it’s the right thing, but because she happens to prefer one son over another (likely due to who their fathers are). Give her some fluids, let the drugs wash out of her system, make her tell all… and then continue to shun her. She’s not going to reform. So why should anyone forgive her?

Days of our Lives Weekly Update: Everything Is Falling Apart In Salem

Days of our Lives spoilers weekly update for January 11 – 15, 2021 reveal the truth ready to come out, an identity is revealed, and a life unraveling.

After his rendezvous with Gwen last week, Chad has been nothing but a wreck and regrets the entire night. Now that he and everyone else at the DiMera mansion realize the manipulations and lies that Gwen has been putting everyone through, Kate knows it is only a matter of time before Gwen tells Abigail the truth. Kate encourages Chad to be the first to open up to Abigail and let her in on that fateful night.

Lani and Eli are also a wreck after their twins go missing. They have no leads right away, but after Lani and Valerie see a sketch of the kidnapper, they immediately recognize her. Hopefully, the newborns are home safe sooner rather than later.

Charlie’s deceitful and manipulative ways are coming to an end. Ava has been found and all of Salem is catching on to him. It’s only a matter of time before the real truth comes out. It looks like Rafe will be the one to confront Charlie about Ava’s poisoning. Will this be the break in the case everyone has been waiting for? If so, it could clear Tripp’s name and put Charlie behind bars for a long time.

Days of our Lives Weekly Recap

The evil Dr. Raynor was back and stealing babies once again. This time, Eli and Lani’s twins were her target. She kidnapped them from the nursery moments before the new parents were set to take them home.

Angelo told John and Steve about Ava’s son, Charlie, and the men put all the pieces together. They called Marlena and Rafe, which led to Ava’s rescue and Claire and Charlie’s night of passion being interrupted before it began.

Chad regretted sleeping with Gwen, especially after hearing Kate was Jake’s secret lover. He tried to cover it up, but Gwen could not wait to rock Abby’s world.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Revelations And Kidnappings

The Days of Our Lives recap for January 4-8, 2021, features Chad learning the error of his ways, the walls closing in on Charlie, and the Grants experiencing every parent’s worst nightmare.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers Highlights

After finding Abigail (Marci Miller) in Jake’s (Brandon Barash) bedroom, Chad (Billy Flynn) insisted that his wife had some explaining to do. And explain Abigail did. First, she and Jake were merely having a mid-morning chat about how worried she was over Chad’s absence.

Then, she revealed that the woman Jake had been carrying on with was Kate (Lauren Koslow). What she couldn’t offer, however, was a reason for a room at the Salem Inn being booked in her name. And she couldn’t explain why Gwen (Emily O’Brien) was telling a falsehood concerning a kiss that Abigail and Jake supposedly indulged in.

But she was damn sure going to get herself and Chad the answers. A subsequent confrontation with Gwen elicited some truths, namely that the kiss never took place. And just like that, Chad realized that he had been suckered into bed by a woman who knew exactly what she was doing.

That little indiscretion didn’t come out during the trios little set to, but following its end, Gwen threatened to tell Abigail all if she followed through on her threat to remove Gwen from the payroll and kick her off the estate!

A Rotten Family Tree

Meanwhile, John (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) little sojourn to Pennsylvania bore some rather interesting fruit. Not only did the duo learn that Ava (Tamara Braun) had another son, but they were able to figure out that he was Claire’s (Isabel Durant) latest squeeze!

An SOS call to Marlena (Deidre Hall) resulted in the storming of the Brady home and the interruption of an intimate moment between the young lovers – though Charlie (Mike Manning) was allowed to leave the residence.

He raced back to his apartment and learned that Ava, whom he earlier fed fistfuls of hallucination-inducing drugs, had been sprung. Mama Vitali was rushed to the hospital where she managed to throw her errant offspring right under the bus.

Gone Babies

Inside that same hospital, a terrible event occurred. Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani’s (Sal Stowers) twins, the same babies that they had only named hours earlier, were kidnapped…by a doctor formerly employed at that very same institution!

But why did Dr. Raynor (Victoria Platt) commit the crime? And who exactly is she working for?

The Three Villains That Have Re-Energized Days of our Lives

Storylines have been forging ahead fast and furiously in Salem, and the soap has a trio of characters to thank for it: Ava, Gwen, and Charlie. The three villains have re-energized Days of our Lives.

Days of our Lives: Enter Gwen

Jake’s (Brandon Barash) mercurial ex-girlfriend, Gwen, portrayed by Emily O’Brien, was the first duplicitous character to appear on the scene in 2020. Originally driven by her love for Jake, Gwen curiously switched gears, worming her way into the DiMera mansion and setting a plan in motion to destroy Abigail (Marci Miller) and her family.

First, she dosed Abigail, making her think she’d lost her mind. Then she orchestrated a Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Cady McClain) separation. After, she convinced Chad (Billy Flynn) that Abigail was having an affair with Jake and lured him into her bed. The intricate turmoil she’s created has been fascinating. It’s too bad Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) isn’t around to bring the unscrupulous wench to her knees.

Not-So-Sweet Charlie

Mike Manning’s introduction as Titan Industries intern Charlie last October seemed totally benign. Awkward, kindly, and seemingly sweet, he easily won over Claire (Isabel Durant) and DAYS viewers. Then the soap’s writers threw in a stunner of a twist: Charlie was Ava’s son, Tripp’s (Lucas Adams) half brother, and the young man who really raped Allie (Lindsay Arnold).

While Charlie kept mum about the assault, Tripp was wrongly accused of the crime, the entire town turned on him, and Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) found themselves on opposing sides of the case. Since the reveal, things have only gotten more riveting. Manning’s gotten to show the other sides of Charlie – bitter, angry, mentally unstable, and completely calculating, as he plots to commit Ava to keep her from divulging the truth about what he’s done.

Ava’s Return

Last, but not least, Tamara Braun’s comeback as Ava amped up life in Salem from her first appearance last November. Ava’s resurrection facilitated Joey’s (James Lastovic) release from prison since he technically didn’t kill her. Plus, she immediately stirred up drama between Steve and Kayla, and finally got to bond with her long-lost son, Tripp.

But the best move of all was adding Charlie to the equation as Ava’s surprise other son. Having her quickly deduce that he was the one who raped Allie, and determined to clear her favorite son, Tripp, brought the twisted plot to a peak. That is until Charlie knocked Ava unconscious and took her hostage to keep her from exposing his crime.

It’s put Ava in the unlikely position of victim, at least for now. But that’s sure to change now that she’s free. It won’t be long before she gets back to what she’s best at — wreaking havoc.
