The Young and the Restless Spoilers (YR): The Kids Aren’t All Right

The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) for Thursday, September 21 are pretty kid-centric, as Mattie throws a fit more worthy of a kid half her age, Juliet challenges Cane’s true feelings for their child, and Noah, Tessa, and Mariah are hurled head-first into adulthood.

Lay Off My Mommy!
Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) has been in a crappy mood ever since Cane (Daniel Goddard) told her she couldn’t hang out — and make out — with Reed (Tristan Lake Lebeau) anymore, and mom Lily (Christel Khalil) didn’t overrule him.

So Mattie decides to take her frustrations out on Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood), by snidely telling him he should be the one out having dinner with her mom, since, obviously, that’s what she really wants.
Mattie is acting like a complete pill, but let’s cut her some slack. Growing up is hard on everyone. And Mattie was still in preschool less than six months ago.

No wonder she’s acting like a toddler — she kind of technically is one!

The Next Generation
Turned out by Lily, Mattie, and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry), Cane takes solace where he can get it, by having some takeout with Juliet (Laur Allen).

But the poor lying adulterer just can’t get a break, when now his baby mama wants to know if Cane will ever love their child the way he does Mattie and Charlie.

Well, if those brats keep acting up… Sure, you move to the top of the pyramid!

Helloooo, Music Promoter
Wayne Knight (that’s Seinfeld’s Newman to sitcom loving 1990s kids, and the guy who stole the Jurrasic dinosaur embryos to geeky ones) guest-stars as a music promoter friend of Noah’s (Robert Adamson) who comes to pass judgment on Tessa’s (Cait Fairabanks) singing.

What does this mean for the future of Noah and Tessa’s relationship? Or Tessa and Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) for that matter?
