The Young & the Restless

Jack, Ashley and Traci:  I commend these siblings for doing what they can to take care of their mother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.  It is not a fair disease and it can take every ounce of patience from you as you are forced to do what is best for your loved one.  It can be heartbreaking when your loved one doesn’t recognize you.  

The Bold & the Beautiful

Liam, Steffy and Bill:  Emmy-winning performances this week as Liam saw the paternity test in Steffy’s purse and demanded to know why she needed one.  Scott Clifton was phenomenal and the look on Liam’s face as Steffy was forced to tell Liam she slept with his father, was priceless.  Jacqueline MacInnes Wood also gave a phenomenal performance as she and Liam teetered on the edge of doom in their marriage. Don Diamont gave one hell of a performance as he tried to convince Liam to do what is right by his and Steffy’s child, despite the betrayal he felt from Steffy and Bill.

General Hospital

Nathan & Maxie finally learned Cesar Faison was the father LIesl Obrecht had been hiding from Nathan, as she told Nathan she did it because she knew Cesar would take the son if she had a son.  But is there another son in the mix as Spinelli, Jason and Sonny wonder?

As Finn recovers from the Cassandra fiasco, Anna is tempted to pull the plug on a comatose Cassandra, but instead sends the comatose Cassandra to the WSB to keep watch on.

Days of Our Lives

As 2018 hits Salem, Chad and Abigail’s New Year’s Eve party is crashed by Vivian and her son, Stefan Octavius DiMera, by Stefano DiMera.  He throws Chad for a loop when he announces he is the new CEO of DiMera Enterprises, as Chad accuses Stefan of sabotaging the company. 

Theo and Abe are told he must head to South Africa for recovery and therapy for one year, as Claire is distraught over Theo’s situation.

And several couples ring in 2018 with a kiss, among them—Chad & Abigail, Eric & Jennifer, Andre & Kate, Will & Paul and Brady & Eve.  Brady and Eve make love and Will breaks Sonny’s heart  by ending their relationship.  And Jennifer wonders if the kiss between her and Eric meant anything to him.
