Eli tries to get Sheila the job in Abe's office as Val gets a job offer outside of Salem. While they're working out what to do about the job offer, Sheila finds herself in the middle of Eli and Lani's and Val and Abe's lives.
Paul's mother asks him to come home to San Francisco for treatment. With Paul gone, he's no longer an obstacle for Will and Sonny to reunite.
The lawyer, Ted Laurent, turns up again, when Gilles Marini returns to Days, and asks Hope for protection from Stefan DiMera who is trying to kill him. Ted asks her not to reveal his concern to Rafe so in turn, she asks him to help her nail Ben.
When Ciara learns Tripp set Ben up their relationship implodes and she admits she's got feelings for Ben.
Ben and Ciara kiss which leaves Tripp with Claire who is ready to stake her claim.

Romance for John and Marlena and some dancing at the pub.
Lani's jealous of Sheila and Eli when she sees them in his room at Martin House. Later, they share a kiss.

Abigail enlists Julie's help to get the goods on Gabi. Julie learns that Chad's the father of the baby.
Rafe walks into a hotel room to see Hope and sees Ted come out of the shower wearing only a towel. Ted intimates that he and Hope had sex and Rafe punches Ted out.
Kayla gets up in Stefan's grill for forcing Steve to become a spy but says he's the only spy.
Sides are chosen:
Eric, Maggie, Chloe all want to raise Holly. Sarah fights her, saying Eric would be a decent influence, far better than Chloe ever could be. There's going to be a fight!
Brady's there for Chloe.
Abigail punches Gabi in the face, Jennifer slaps Chad across the face, Eric punches Rex out and then some.
Romance is shared between Doug and Julie, Brady and Chloe, Rex asks Sarah for another chance, Eve returns, Abe and Sheila dance at the Christmas party, then Sheila barfs on Abe's shoes.
Surprise return! Leo Stark is alive as Greg Rikaart returns to Days, and Jack is alive with Matthew Ashford returning to Days!
There's a new girl in town named Hailey who meets JJ when Thia Megia joins Days.
