She’s beloved in the soap world and is a hit on the Netflix reality series, Selling Sunset, but, tonight, Daytime Emmy-nominated actress Chrishell Stause, most recently, Jordan on Days of Our Lives, is going to be exposed to a whole new audience when she makes her Dancing With the Stars debut!
Chrishell Stause Is Ready To Dance
It was announced late last month that Stause would be taking part in Season 29 of the dance-competition reality series, along with other familiar names from the soap world Anne Heche (ex-Marley/Vicky, Another World) and Jesse Metcalfe (ex-Miguel, Passions; ex-Christopher, Dallas).
Stause’s pro dance partner won’t be officially revealed until tonight’s premiere, but the actress can share what her what song she’ll be dancing to tonight. “I am dancing to @pink Raise Your Glass!” Stause tweeted. “[The] Song is all about embracing your imperfections& that’s something I can definitely toast to! Always inspired by her even if I couldn’t think of anything intelligent to say when we met🤦🏻♀️ Gonna get up &try try try! #DWTS @DancingABC.”
There’s a long history of stars from daytime competing on DWTS. In the show’s first season, Kelly Monaco (Sam, General Hospital) won the coveted mirror ball trophy, returning again and going to the semi-finals in Season 15’s All-Stars. Other daytime contenders on DWTS include All My Children stars Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan), Susan Lucci (ex-Erica), and Aiden Turner (ex-Aiden).
General Hospital hunks Ingo Rademacher (Jax) and Antonio Sabato Jr. (ex-Jagger) also wore sequins and learned how to ballroom dance. There were others, too. Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie, Days of Our Lives) competed on the show. And runner-up to Monaco in Season 1 was John O’Hurley. While many primetime TV fans know him from Seinfeld, soap fans know the actor from his many roles in daytime including Jim on The Young and the Restless, Jonathan/Keith on Loving, and Kit on AMC.
