Steven surprises Julie by returning home. Marie and Liz also
return, and their feud reignites. Plus, Ciara opens the Horton time capsule! Even
as she continues dealing with the loss of her true love, Julie is caught off
guard by the arrival of someone unexpected. It’s a family reunion for Jennifer,
Lucas, Shawn, and Ciara. Old friends are reunited after years apart when Liz
Chandler pays a visit to Marlena. Meanwhile, Marie Horton comes home for the
sad occasion. Eli tells Lani some of the
more… shall we say “colorful” details about Doug’s past!
Julie meets a much younger Doug Williams — and did Steven
take Grandma Alice’s diamond necklace? It’s the end of an era as loved ones gather
to say farewell to Doug. A whole lotta years have passed since Marie and Liz
fought over Neil, but that rivalry is apparently alive and well! Belle is
unexpectedly visited by Shawn. Remember that time capsule that turned up when
Alice’s house burned down? Well, we’re finally going to find out what was
inside it!
Julie meets Doug’s grandson, who happened to steal Alice’s
necklace. Plus, Belle and Shawn call it quits. Something very important — or at
least precious — goes missing from the time capsule. But who took it and why When
Doug appears before a stunned Julie, will this be a chance for her to say a
final farewell? While in town to pay respects to his grandparents, Steven
crosses paths with Leo.
Hope asks Jennifer to keep an eye on Doug, who convinces
Lucas and Ciara to keep quiet about the necklace. Should people be suspicious
about the new face in town with which Julie and Lucas are reminiscing? We may
get a clue when Jennifer comes upon the scene! After saying farewell to her
beloved father, Hope shares a reunion with Shawn and Ciara. Will Stephanie do
as Xander asks and stop helping Philip?
Joy meets EJ to collect her payoff, Alex confronts Johnny,
and Chad lashes out at Cat in Vancouver. Joy is the hot topic when Johnny and
EJ wind up butting heads. Meanwhile, the lady in question decides she needs to
say goodbye to Alex. But is this really farewell, or more a “see ya later”? Chad
and Cat do everything they can to stay under the radar. But will laying low
bring them closer than ever? Family time is precious, which makes the time that
Paulina, Lani, and Chanel spend together so very valuable.
Next Week
A wrench is thrown in
EJ’s plan, JJ tries to save Gabi, and if things aren’t devastating enough,
Julie receives more bad news — plus, Sarah is there for Xander.
Monday, December 9:
How will Jada react to the rather disturbing news that Rafe
shares with her?
The last thing Leo expects is sympathy from Javi. But
sometimes, the last thing you expect (despite wanting it very badly) is exactly
what you get!
EJ has laid out a plan… but here comes Kate, ready to throw
a big ol’ monkey wrench into the works!
Alex and Johnny may have to do some fast talking if they
want to prevent Chanel from knowing exactly what they’re butting heads about!
Her life in pictures:
On her 15th birthday, watch the daughter of Arianne Zucker and Kyle Lowder grow
up before your eyes.
Tuesday, December 10:
Things are about to get very interesting between JJ and
Gabi!
Chad doesn’t want to be comforting where Cat’s concerned,
but apparently, he doesn’t have much choice.
As if poor Julie hasn’t been through enough in recent weeks,
she’s about to get another bit of bad news, this time from Jennifer.
It’s time for a wonderful, pre-holiday reunion as Hope gets
together with Kayla, Steve, and Roman.
Wednesday, December
11:
Someone better keep Kristen distracted because she won’t
like that Brady and Ava are continuing to bond!
If there’s one person whom Leo knows will never steer him
wrong, it’s Marlena. Of course, that only works if he follows the wise words
she offers him!
Gabi’s in danger from Clyde — again! Will JJ be able to
reach her before it’s too late?
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, but on soaps,
so does danger. Will that prove true for Chad and Cat when they get in over
their heads?
Thursday, December 12:
Chad thinks Clyde might still have the answers he’s
searching for. But can he get the guy to spill the beans?
Aaron may learn more than he wanted to as Cat opens up about
their mom.
JJ and Gabi step up their plan.
Steve and Kayla decide it’s a wonderful day to take a
stroll… down Memory Lane!
Holly and Tate are about to share a close moment. But just
how close will they really get?
Friday, December 13:
Might Shawn Douglas be sticking around for a while? Jada
hopes to make that the case when she offers the guy his old job back.
As Xander prepares to head into court, Sarah is right there
to offer her support.
Philip does his best to keep his guilt under wraps, but will
Stephanie get suspicious?
This promises to be fun: Ava is about to take Kristen to task! We’re pretty sure Kristen isn’t the type to simply sit and allow herself to be scolded!

Lulu reunites with Dante and Rocco, Molly and TJ are finally
honest with each other, and Sonny helps Kristina find peace. Lulu is about to
find out the hard way that a whole lot of things have happened while she was in
a coma. It’s almost hard to predict which development will hit her harder! Lucky
has something important to share with his mom. There’s a lot on the line as TJ
and Molly realize they have a big decision to make. Something tells us things
will get really ugly real quick when Alexis and Ric take the gloves off and lay
all their cards on the table! Drew ain’t gonna see it coming when Jason makes
an important proclamation!
Lulu reunites with Lucky and Anna asks Jason for help
finding Valentin. Anna is there for Laura when she needs someone to confide in.
Maxie has a chance to catch up with Dante when he pays her a visit. Jason and
Carly will find out exactly where Danny stands… but will it change anything?
Later, someone has an urgent request they hope Jason will help them with. While
some will say what he’s done is indefensible, Ric is going to do his best to
justify his actions!
“I’ve had such a hard
time saying goodbye,” but Rena Sofer found a beautiful way to do so.
Who’ll be on the receiving end of the bad news Laura has to
deliver? Yet again, Anna finds herself dealing with nearly overwhelming guilt. Lean
in close to listen as Ric makes a confession to Ava. What has Brook Lynn
feeling so on edge? Jordan advises Curtis.
Chad Duell gives fans
a chance to say goodbye — and Katelyn MacMullen, a chance to say hi.
Carly plants a bug in Brennan’s office, and Molly moves out
of her and TJ’s department. While we’re accustomed to Sonny making people
offers they can’t (or at least shouldn’t) refuse, this time it’s Jason who goes
to Brennan with one. Meanwhile, Sonny is busy listening to Dante and trying to offer
the best guidance he can. Isiah has a bit of personal news to discuss with
Jordan, while Curtis is there to listen to TJ. It wouldn’t be the Carly we all
know and love if she didn’t take it upon herself to make a risky move!
His life in pictures:
As leading man Maurice Benard’s son, Joshua, turns 20, look back at his
evolution from cute kid to rising star.
Questions linger about Sam’s death… but Elizabeth is determined to unearth the truth! Might doing so put her in danger? Ava issues a demand. But will she get her way? Brad finds out something about ex-hubby Lucas. Lois has an eye-opening moment of realization. When Molly pleads with her sister, will Kristina listen or turn a deaf ear?
Next Week
Nina doles out a
warning, Curtis makes a confession, and things heat up at the Quartermaine
Christmas party — plus, Joss receives what we suspect will be very bad news.
Monday, December 9:
Fans who’ve long adored Lucky and Liz won’t want to miss
today’s episode, as the pair find themselves walking down Memory Lane.
Dex is in for a very special — if slightly early — holiday
treat.
Ava’s verdict has left Kristina reeling, but her dad is
about to make an offer that could cheer her up.
Molly needs a little time to consider the proposal her mom
has put on the table.
Someone swings by to pay Laura a visit.
Tuesday, December 10:
Carly did what she had to do… but something tells us a
ticked Brennan isn’t going to see things that way.
Nina’s got a word of warning for someone.
When Curtis tests Drew, will Jason’s brother pass with
flying colors or go down in flames?
Kai is about to score some points with Trina.
Maxie gets an update from Sasha, who’s had a lot to consider
of late!
Wednesday, December
11:
We love seeing Anna in kick-butt mode, so we feel sorry for
the person she’s about to interrogate!
What’s got Curtis making a confession… and to whom?
Drew should just stay far away from Nina at this point, but
instead, he’s asking her for a helping hand.
Will Dex’s words be able to reassure a concerned Josslyn?
Did Jordan have a hand in the good news that Isiah is about
to share with her?
Thursday, December
12:
It wouldn’t be a soap opera party — let alone one hosted by
the Quartermaines — if things didn’t go from festive to tense quicker than you
can say “Happy holidays!”
Ava and Ric are in for a rather unpleasant surprise.
What do Sonny and Natalia have to celebrate, and how will
they choose to do so?
Kristina’s putting her mind to a problem.
Oh dear. Sounds as if Tracy is about to put her foot in her
mouth!
Friday, December 13:
Try as she might,
Elizabeth simply can’t wrap her head around a quandary.
Is Trina seeking out Kai to thank him or take him to task?
Drew’s got some explaining to do!
Josslyn gets the kind of news that is guaranteed to change
the young woman’s life. Meanwhile, mom Carly is doing everything she can to run
interference.

Hope attempts to defend the coup even as Carter winds up
paying a hefty price for what he’s done! As Hope and Brooke go head-to-head
over the current scandal, we’ll bet you a closet full of Spectra Fashions
hand-me-downs they can’t find a way to see eye to eye. We can only hope that as
Ridge and Carter face off in an all-out battle for control of Forrester Creations,
the dressmaker points out that his COO isn’t a Forrester so that everyone’s
favorite wedding officiant can note that neither is his boss. (Right, Massimo?)
Ahead of Paris/Thomas
wedding, Diamond White receives the most amazing gift — “and it came with a
horse!”
Steffy and Taylor discuss Brooke’s marriage, while Hope gets
a shocking bit of news. Hope drops a bombshell on Carter. Hopefully, after
warning him that he might wanna sit down for this one! Ridge makes a bold move
that changes everything. “Does that include who you’re sleeping with?” Taylor
asks but only using her inner voice.
We thought we’d never
see the day: Bobbie Eakes back on the set!
Steffy makes a beeline for Hope while Brooke promises to do
damage control. Deacon spices up Il Giardino with a surprise addition. As long
as he’s not putting Sheila’s toe cookies on the menu, that’s fine by us. Ridge
and Steffy strike a decisive blow to Hope’s future. As if firing her and having
her escorted to the elevator wasn’t decisive enough! Who will be left standing
when the kerfuffle at Forrester is settled?
Brooke hears Ridge blaming Hope, and Hope and Steffy have it
out in the cabin. Hope doesn’t back down when Steffy launches a fiery attack.
Are we headed for a new entry in our countdown of soaps’ best slaps? Will is on
edge when Electra and Remy’s past begins to be told. Shove over, kid; we wanna
hear this story, too.
Crew Morrow has landed
another role already — and a surprise witness that surfaces surrounding his
character’s crime will turn an entire case into turmoil.
Carter rocks the Forresters’ world, Luna gets her heart’s
desire, and Hope warns Brooke. Bill reads one of Luna’s letters, and it’s a
game-changer. Erm, need we remind him of Luna’s reign of terror? With Forrester
Creations on the line, Carter ignites a storm from which there is no turning
back. So when does the Walton-Logan sign go up?
Next Week
The stakes are so high,
you’re gonna need binoculars to see ’em! As battle lines are drawn and
deepened, the Forresters and Logans collide as never before. By week’s end,

Remy seizes an opportunity to flip the script, and Bill and Luna play a
dangerous game. But which of them really has the upper hand?
Monday, December 9:
Betrayed and heartbroken, Zende walks out on Forrester
Creations.
Bill is drawn to Luna’s letter and pays her a visit behind
bars.
Carter and Ridge lock horns in a fiery showdown with no room

Luna tries to play Dollar Bill — but is she the one being
played?
Brooke and Carter back Hope as Ridge unleashes on her.

himself.
Brooke is torn as Eric and Ridge rage against Hope over the
company.
Thursday, December
12:
Remy makes a game-changing decision.
Brooke snaps as Ridge attacks Hope.
Friday, December 13:
Hope and Carter step into power at Forrester Creations.
The Forresters and Logans clash in a high-stakes battle for
control.
The Young & the Restless

Kyle’s decision could change the future of Jabot — plus,
Michael is shocked by Sharon’s choice. Victor needs no advice from Kenny Rogers
about when to hold ’em and when to fold ’em. He knows perfectly well that the
best way to play his cards is the way that he does today: close to the vest! She’s
come a long way from her days bumping and grinding at The Bayou! Now a well-established
mover and shaker of an altogether different sort, Nikki settles into her new
role at Chancellor. Can we get a referee, please? ’Cause we’re gonna need one
when Phyllis and Summer demand answers from Sharon.
Restless Rant! See if
you agree with our grading in Y&R’s November Sweeps report card. Plus,
what’s coming up, and a guest rant about “whiny baby men”.
Nick thinks they may have found the key to Sharon’s behavior
as Jordan lurks in the shadows. We should all have an ex like Nick Newman.
Today, he crosses the line to help Sharon — and heaven knows she needs all the
help she can get! Claire has seen the red flags waving, yet she still allows herself
to be romanced by Kyle. Proving herself to be an indispensable minion, Crazy
Aunt Jordan gathers Intel for puppetmaster Ian.
Diane is pleased by Jack’s proposal — plus, Jordan and
Claire come face to face. They’d probably be wise not to hatch any more schemes
shortly. But nonetheless, Jack has a proposal for Diane. Michael
counsels Sharon through a tough decision — no doubt the first of many that she
will have to make as the year comes to an end. The letters M, Y, O, and B never
having meant diddly to Summer, she interrogates Kyle about Claire.
Nick warns Adam to stay away from Sharon, and Christine
grills Phyllis. Hell must be freezing over, because however reluctantly,
Christine takes steps to help Phyllis. And yes, it felt weird even to type that
sentence! Perhaps hoping that his romantic track record doesn’t speak for
itself, Billy proves himself to Sally. Where, exactly, is the button that will
allow us to reach through the TV and scream at her, “Run? Run away — fast!” Sharon
is up to her eyeballs in stress these days. So the way Nick sees it, the last
thing she needs is Adam trying to “lend a hand.” Will the black sheep of the
Newman family listen when his half-brother warns him to keep his distance from
their ex-wife?
Victor learns Jack outplayed him, and Summer spills Claire’s
big news to Kyle. We wouldn’t play Tiddlywinks with Victor, much less poker,
and here’s why: He doesn’t even blink as he calls Diane’s bluff. Always ready to play devil’s advocate, Nikki questions Jack’s motives. When Kyle receives
mixed signals from Summer, how will he interpret them?
Next Week
Nate goes to the mat
for Audra, Victor regains his advantage, Billy and Diane put their heads
together, and Sharon is on the receiving end of the only kind of news she gets
these days: bad!
Monday, December 9:
OMG, what now? As Nick and Mariah share disturbing news with
Sharon, all we can think is, “Sheesh, how much more can this poor woman take?”
Prepare to “wig out” when master of disguise Jordan takes on
yet another new persona.
Kyle keeps the peace between Summer and Claire — this time.
But what next time? And the time after that? Kyle may have unwittingly just
become a full-time referee.
This week’s Restless
Rant looks at what’s ahead on Young & Restless: A twist in Heather’s murder
case, Ian and Jordan’s ultimate downfall, and how Victor will get the last
laugh on Jack and Diane!
Tuesday, December 10:
Daniel and Phyllis demand justice for Heather. But with Ian
and Jordan on the loose, we don’t think “just deserts” will be on the menu for
quite a while yet.
The honeymoon’s over. Literally, Newlyweds Abby and Devon
return home and regret it for how long? Does anyone want to wager?
Nikki? Mariah? Victor? Phyllis? Adam? We can’t wait to see
who it is when Ian crosses paths with someone from his past.
Wednesday, December
11:
Jack should know better than to ever take a victory lap.
Before he’s done, Victor always gets the upper hand, as he does for the
gazillionth time today.
As if Sharon didn’t already look guilty enough, she spies on
Phyllis. This is not going to help your case, Sharon!
Here’s an interesting tag team: Billy conspires with Diane.
We’d buy that he can trust her, but is the opposite true?
Thursday, December
12:
We thought we were well past Victor’s doubts about Claire
but apparently not. Once more, he tests his granddaughter’s loyalty.
In what can only possibly pertain to the show’s endless game
of musical CEOs, Lily makes a tough decision.
Audra makes a promise to Nate, giving the impression
that these two might just have stumbled upon something real.
Friday, December 13:
Better late than never, Sally evaluates her feelings for
Billy.
Phyllis and Michael’s friendship is tested. If you ask us,
it already flunked the test.
Nate asks Devon and Lily to give Audra a second chance.
