Weekly Soap Recaps: May 5-9, 2025

 May 5

Days of Our Lives: Operation Save Bo Is On But EJ Complicates Everything; A kinder and gentler EJ? Hmmm…we have our doubts. Chanel told Shawn that she understands his point of view. However, she still needs time and space to process his not wanting to go through with the adoption. So, there’s hope for their marriage. Chad confronted EJ about his bidding on Cat in the recent online bachelorette auction. EJ decided to gift the winning bid to Chad. Shawn and Steve continued to plan. Operation Save Bo. The next steps involved Kayla. But there, of course, was a twist.

General Hospital: Rocco’s Life Is On The Line; Who’s to blame for Rocco’s accident? Rocco and a thumb drive were found on the beach, and lives are on the line.

The Young & the Restless: Is THIS Phyllis’ Plot Against Sally? We suspect it will be bold… and beautiful.  Phyllis made a big show of demonstrating for Billy and Sally how much smarter than them she was. Obviously, Phyllis knew that Billy would dump Sally the way he once dumped Lily…and Chelsea…and oh, yeah, Phyllis. Obviously, Billy’s company would fail spectacularly without Phyllis there to make it the same success she’d made all her other businesses. Like…um…well, you know, all those other successful businesses she just can’t recall now.

But if Phyllis was so sure Billy and Sally would self-destruct the minute she stepped away from their table, why did she feel the need to order multiple shots of caffeine and sit there, stewing and plotting and mumbling, “This isn’t over.” Could it be that Phyllis isn’t as confident in Billy and Sally’s failure as she pretends to be? Could she be planning to nudge matters along, as only Phyllis can?

The Bold & Beautiful: Liam’s Impending Death Hit Steffy Hard; Liam’s tragic situation had Steffy in tears…again. Liam in pain, Steffy on her high horse, Hope questioning Carter, and Brooke making yet another desperate bid for Ridge’s heart.

Beyond the Gates: Amazing Grace, Ted’s Disgrace, and Cathartic Conversations; Plus, do not believe a word that comes out of Leslie’s mouth. She sounds sincere, but she’s not. Leslie is making her case to the Duprees. Nicole unleashed her despair all over Ted. And Kat and Eva had it out at the country club. Martin can add Ted using him to his list of traumas. Eva’s whole life has been traumatic, but her mother locking her out of their home was beyond cruel.

May 6

Days of Our Lives: Jada, Gabi, and Rafe Rule Themselves Out As EJ’s Shooter; Did Gabi also rule out Ava? Doug started turning his life around when Roman gave him a job and a place to stay at the Brady Pub. Meanwhile, Tate and Sophia decided they simply have to wait until Sophia turns 18. That’s when she can defy her mom and make her own adult decisions. This means she can place her baby with an adoption agency, and her mom won’t have any say. Elsewhere, Javi continued to contemplate quitting Gabi Chic. And Leo stirred the pot like only he can. Also, Jada, Gabi, and Rafe may have ruled themselves out as suspects. So, who does that leave?

General Hospital: Dante May Have Lost A Son; Dante wasn’t letting things go today. Dante is on the warpath after Rocco’s alcohol poisoning… and it ended with a shock.

The Young & the Restless: Secrets and Silence Rocked Tessa’s World; Tessa’s heart ached as she realized the distance growing between her and Mariah, and she feared the truth was worse than she imagined. Tessa worries about Mariah and the silence between them. Plus, Nick freaks out Victoria by joking that he and Sharon eloped while Diane gives Claire some advice.

The Bold & the Beautiful: Liam Toyed With Coming Clean; Liam almost spoke up…will he soon break the news? Daphne Rose is making another move on Carter, Deacon is speaking his mind, and Liam is keeping his cards close to the vest.

Beyond the Gates: Preempted due to sports programming.

May 7

Days of Our Lives: Miracle Drug Fuels New Kiriakis V. DiMera Battle on the Hospital Front; Dr. Jeffrey Russell’s Versivex drug is becoming increasingly valuable to some of Salem’s titans. Philip continued his apology tour. This time, he gave a sincere mea culpa to Stephanie. Not only did we feel his sincerity, but Stephanie did, too. She wasn’t ready to let bygones be bygones, but she hoped they’d be friends again in the future. Meanwhile, Shawn and Belle had a nice moment. Sarah suggested that she and Xander go on a weekend getaway. And Kayla made it easier for Shawn and Steve to plan their heist. Speaking of which, the potential miracle cure for sepsis, aka Versivex, fueled a new battle between Xander and EJ. What’s at stake: the hospital and Bo’s health.

General Hospital: Lulu Is Onto Lois’ Secret; Lulu may have just figured it all out. After watching Dante and Lois spar over Gio, Lulu is onto the big secret.

The Young & the Restless: Could Jack Pick Nikki Over Billy; Your brother… or your ex-wife? Billy is furious that Jack refuses to hate Nikki as much as Billy does. (Billy was furious with Jack about multiple topics during that conversation, including Diane’s choice of tapestries. Billy is very mature.) Billy whined that Nikki was just as responsible for removing Chancellor from Billy as Victor and Jill, so why wasn’t Jack more incensed on Billy’s behalf? Jack distracted Billy with something else for him to throw a tantrum about. But was Billy actually onto something?

The Bold & the Beautiful: Steffy Dropped THE Bomb On Hope; Steffy did what Liam refused to do. Liam struggled to keep his secret, Steffy spilled the truth, and Deacon meddled in his daughter’s love life.

Beyond the Gates: (Coming on May 8) Bill and Ted’s Past Comes Back To Haunt Them; Plus, the Duprees and the Hamiltons reconsider their loyalties. Reveal what happens when Ted’s long-kept secret comes out. This will bring Bill more trouble and stress than it’s worth. Meanwhile, each member of the Dupree and Hamilton families will question everything.

May 8

Days of Our Lives: Kayla Answers EJ’s Question; Chanel and Johnny remain at odds.  EJ may not have a situation under as much control as he thinks, when Kayla isn’t fooled — or charmed — by his request.

General Hospital: Brad Skips Town After Ruining Portia’s Life; Bye-bye, Braddie. Is this the last we’ll see of Brad after his life-changing decision? Operation ‘Get Rid of Drew’ Goes Back to Square One; Drew vows to get to the bottom of who drugged him, while Liz wants to know why Isaiah’s been a stranger lately, and Dante throws some blame at Jason. Portia sees something shocking on the news while Lucas is horrified by something, and Dante spreads more blame.

The Young & the Restless: Nate’s Furious as Lily Pushes Damian Spy Plot; Lily’s bold pitch sent shockwaves through the Winters family as Damian weighed his options—and Devon and Nate feared it could blow up in their faces. Lily’s risky move to recruit Damian to rock the Winters family, while Adam and Billy play a dangerous game of one-upmanship, and Victor tightens his grip.

The Bold & the Beautiful: Steffy Shattered Hope’s Entire World; Hope went through several stages of grief as Steffy laid out the cold, hard facts. Steffy spilled the awful truth about Liam’s condition, Finn convinced Liam to reach out to his dad, and Luna decided to go see hers.

Beyond the Gates: Bill and Ted’s Past Comes Back To Haunt Them; the Duprees and the Hamiltons reconsider their loyalties. Ted’s long-kept secret comes out. This will bring Bill more trouble and stress than it’s worth. Meanwhile, each member of the Dupree and Hamilton families will question everything.

May 9

Days of Our Lives: EJ Plots to Protect Johnny; Sarah’s best-laid plans get upset. EJ is convinced that his own son shot him. And vowing to make sure that Johnny is never punished for his crime. Just like EJ is never punished for his.

General Hospital: Lulu’s Suspicions Cause Her to Question Ned; Lulu questions Ned. Brook Lynn and Chase meet with Alexis. And Tracy is surprised. In addition to Lulu questioning Ned,  Sasha and Willow have a tense encounter. Also, Sidwell makes an offer.

The Young & the Restless

Recaps

Nikki pushes Claire to defy Victor, and Daniel quits Abbott Communications. Having been there and done that, no matter where “there” is or what “that” is, Nikki is the perfect person to point granddaughter Claire in the right direction. Sally receives an interesting proposal from Billy. We want to focus on the word “proposal” here and imagine that maybe he’s popping the question, but c’mon. You just know it’s gonna be business-related. Daniel finds himself at a crossroads. Based on the preview that came out, what seems like eons ago, we have a hunch we know which way his storyline is going.

Restless Rant! Y&R’s next romance is an eyebrow-raiser! Plus, why it’s “hard to get through a whole episode”?

Sally warns Billy about Phyllis, and Claire gives Kyle unexpected news. She may have buried the hatchet with Sharon, but not everybody. So Phyllis delights in pushing Sally's buttons. No stranger to difficult choices, Kyle is perhaps uniquely prepared when he’s called upon to make a tough decision. Tessa comes to the rescue of someone in need of help. Please don’t let it be Ian Ward in a fake mustache and glasses.

Billy gives Phyllis an ultimatum, and Amy leaves Genoa City. Since Billy crosses the line to make a point, we hope it’s an important one. Because some lines, you can’t uncross. We’ll be holding our breath along with Nate and Damian when they receive an update about Amy’s condition. Holden keeps Audra on her toes. And here we kinda thought he was more interested in sweeping her off her feet.

Diane holds her big reveal, Nikki grills Victor, and Cole returns. Victor keeps a secret from Nikki. Yeah, we doubt that she’d take kindly to her better half turning loose Audra in hopes of ending Claire’s relationship with Kyle. When Claire opens up to Victoria and Cole, they’re sure to understand, right? Having been married and divorced, hitched to lots of other people, and mourned a daughter who returned from the dead, their level of empathy oughta be off the charts. Diane sets the stage for a big reveal. Fingers crossed that this isn’t another “Billy’s redo of the Chancellor mansion”!

Lily grills Audra about Holden, Jack reacts to the remodel, and Adam has a proposal for Chelsea. Diane pulls out all the stops to impress Jack. Will he be thrilled with what she’s done… or horrified? And how do you feel about the new Abbott mansion? Scroll through photos of the remodel. Chelsea questions Adam’s motives. In other words, what she should do pretty much every day. It ain’t gonna be pretty when Lily gives Audra the third degree. Lily is not playing these days. When she wants answers, she damn well wants answers!

Next Week

The road ahead takes a twist that Phyllis didn’t see coming; Michael pushes Lauren to her limits, and Nikki steps up for a couple in need of an ally.

Monday, April 28:

Michael had to know that a big part of working for Victor was going to be winding up on the receiving end of ultimatums. But the lawyer doesn’t have to like it — and won’t when the latest one is handed down!

Lily plays nicely with Holden. Which sounds to us an awful lot like playing with fire, given what a charmer the Genoa City newcomer is?

Enjoy the momentary peace between John’s sons while it lasts: Jack gives Billy a vote of confidence.

Restless Rant! Young & Restless’ [Spoiler] is marked for death! Plus, can the soap turn things around for May Sweeps?

Tuesday, April 29:

Billy and Phyllis’ partnership takes an unexpected turn. OK, but will it be unexpected to him, her… or both of them?

Mariah is painfully aware that honesty is the best policy, yet she nonetheless keeps a secret from Tessa.

Dunno if they’ll be successful when Audra schemes with Sally, but they should at least be a whole lotta fun.

Wednesday, April 30:

Victor can huff and puff all he likes, but if there’s one person who refuses to toe his line, it’s Nikki… which makes her the perfect individual to take matters into her own hands to help Claire and Kyle.

Victoria pushes Cole to make a tough decision. As if there are any easy ones while involved with a Newman!

Lauren receives unexpected news. Something tells us she’s getting pretty damn sick of Victor saying jump and Michael doing exactly that.

Thursday, May 1:

Victor raises the stakes with Audra, though what we wish he’d do is come to his senses.

Yup. We called that one. Lauren loses patience with Michael. Will she make her husband choose between her and his boss?

Summer deals with a professional crisis… which may actually wind up being a trickier issue for someone else.

Friday, May 2:

Victor encourages Adam to play dirty. Wait, since when did Adam ever need encouraging to get all scheme-y? That’s factory settings for him!

Chelsea makes a bold move that she just might regret. Is Summer’s crisis Chelsea’s exit?

Phyllis needs no reminders that a mother’s work is never done. That being the case, she worries anew about Daniel.

Will she be able to pull off the miracle that he needs? The guest list just grew… Guess who’s crashing the next fashion show? Category is “Things We Could’ve Guessed”: Luna tells Sheila she will not give up on getting Will to be her own. Deacon advises Hope on relationships based on her past.

Hope warns Deacon about his wife, and Finn shocks Sheila. Li reminds Finn that, father or not, he is to stay far away from Luna Nozawa. How long do you think it will be before he accidentally bumps into his daughter? Steffy and Liam express their joy at being Kelly’s parents.

Bold & Beautiful is squandering a golden opportunity. But it would be easy to turn it around.

Liam flees the hospital for Kelly, and Finn texts Steffy with life-changing news. Liam becomes determined to take Kelly to her dance despite Bridget and Grace’s objections. He wouldn’t risk his recovery for one night, would he? Five tissue box alarm! A tragic twist for Liam and Kelly’s daddy-daughter dance may be in the cards. Kelly confides in Steffy that she wishes Liam would be at her dance more than anything. Will Kelly’s miracle come to pass?

Next Week

On the one hand, we’re getting a Forrester Creations fashion show, which is always fun (even if it would be a thousand percent more fun if the design dynasty had any competitors at all on the canvas!). In L.A., to appraise the gowns coming down the catwalk are not only reality-TV personalities Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, but influencer Markell Washington. (Strangely, no R.J.; does Ridge and Brooke’s MIA son no longer make TikToks, or what?)

Also on hand is The Young and the Restless’ Lauralee Bell, whose legal eagle alter ego, Christine, can’t seem to resist a front-row seat at her West Coast pals’ version of Project Runway.

In other developments, a backstage fracas ensues when it appears that Taylor gets herself and her eternal romantic rival, Brooke, locked in a back room. “What have you done?” Ridge’s “destiny,” exclaims.

Oh, and here comes the really bad news: Liam’s dying. (So they say, anyway.) Steffy tells Finn that it has to be her who breaks the news to her former husband that his days are numbered (and that number isn’t terribly high, either). But Liam isn’t exactly, “Oh, well, it happens to us all eventually. I had best accept my fate.” No, on the contrary, he adamantly refuses to accept that he’s a goner.

The Young & the Restless

Nick promises not to reunite with Phyllis, and Traci leaves for New York. Better late than never, Jack addresses Diane’s habit of keeping secrets. Somewhere, you just know Phyllis is dying to put in her two cents! If you can’t trust your sister with your secrets, who can you trust? Nick makes a confession to Victoria. As Traci looks for closure, all we can say is that we’re rooting for ya, hon.

Soapbox! Is Alan still alive?! Plus, Damian dishes deets, Jack one-ups Victor, and more.

Damian comes clean with Lily, and Audra gives Nate unsettling news. It’s now or never. When Lily presses Damian to come clean, will he finally tell her the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? As Nate gives Holden a warning, Audra makes a bold move. Will it mean the end of Kyle and Claire’s relationship… or her own romance with Nate?

Jack needles Victor, and Holden and Claire get closer, as do Lily and Damian. Victor, in desperate need of a hobby that doesn’t involve harming others, sets a trap for Billy. An old pro at bending facts to suit her needs, Audra stretches the truth. Another day, another shocker: Jack and Kyle discover deception at Jabot. Isn’t there usually? Thanks to Victor’s diabolical scheme, Holden hooks up with… who?!

As Daniel Goddard settles into his new role on General Hospital, his son has a familiar — yet hysterical — message for fans.

Victor warns Nikki about trouble, and Audra toys with Kyle. No matter how wrongheaded he is, he just never can admit, can he? Victor stands his ground against the Abbotts. Proving that the couple that plots together has a shot together, Jack and Diane plan their defense. Thankless jobs are nothing new to Nikki. So today she does one that she’s often forced to: She tries to keep the peace.

Victor refuses to back down, and Diane confronts Michael. Victor plays his cards close to the vest. No doubt right next to his money clip and his mustache comb. Lily shares her concerns with Amy. Kyle who? No need to repeat past mistakes when there are so many other characters that could be Summer’s new love interest. When Diane puts Michael in a compromising position, will he come through for his friend… or remain loyal to Victor?

Next Week

Its turning points left, right and center as Kyle is faced with a challenging choice, Billy goes to extremes to get his point across, Victor does what one never, ever should with Nikki, and a stiff breeze starts blowing in the direction of Audra’s house of cards.

Monday, April 21:

Having been there and done that, no matter where “there” is or what “that” is, Nikki is the perfect person to point granddaughter Claire in the right direction.

Sally receives an interesting proposal from Billy. We want to focus on the word “proposal” here and imagine that maybe he’s popping the question, but c’mon. You just know it’s gonna be business-related.

Daniel finds himself at a crossroads. Based on the preview that came out, what seems like eons ago, we have a hunch we know which way his storyline is going.

Restless Rant! Y&R’s next romance is an eyebrow-raiser! Plus, why is it’s “hard to get through a whole episode”?

Tuesday, April 22:

She may have buried the hatchet with Sharon, but not everybody. So Phyllis delights in pushing Sally's buttons.

No stranger to difficult choices, Kyle is perhaps uniquely prepared when he’s called upon to make a tough decision.

Tessa comes to the rescue of someone in need of help. Please don’t let it be Ian Ward in a fake mustache and glasses.

Wednesday, April 23:

Since Billy crosses the line to make a point, we hope it’s an important one. Because some lines, you can’t uncross.

We’ll be holding our breath along with Nate and Damian when they receive an update about Amy’s condition.

Holden keeps Audra on her toes. And here we kinda thought he was more interested in sweeping her off her feet.

Kyle who? He’s not the only fella who could be Summer’s next love.

Thursday, April 24:

Victor keeps a secret from Nikki. Yeah, we doubt that she’d take kindly to her better half turning loose Audra in hopes of ending Claire’s relationship with Kyle.

When Claire opens up to Victoria and Cole, they’re sure to understand, right? Having been married and divorced, hitched to lots of other people, and mourned a daughter who returned from the dead, their level of empathy oughta be off the charts.

Diane sets the stage for a big reveal. Fingers crossed that this isn’t another “Billy’s redo of the Chancellor mansion”!

Friday, April 25:

Diane pulls out all the stops to impress Jack. Will he be thrilled with what she’s done… or horrified?

Chelsea questions Adam’s motives. In other words, what she should do pretty much every day.

It ain’t gonna be pretty when Lily gives Audra the third degree. Lily is not playing these days. When she wants answers, she damn well wants answers!

It’s almost hard to watch what’s happening between Carly and Jason, who are once again at odds today.

Tracy extends an offer.

Dante and Lulu sit down to discuss issues related to their extended family.
