The Young & the Restless

Last week...

Jack leaves the Abbotts in shock when he announces his plans for Jabot — plus, Cane picks a side. We may never know what a day without Victor attacking an enemy is like — not Monday, anyway, as he twirls his mustache and sets a trap for Cane. While Victor is fighting Cane, Phyllis and Lily take the gloves off to fight over him. As eager as ever to safeguard John’s legacy, the Abbotts strategize to protect Jabot.

Victor raises a glass to Jack. Cane’s tempting offer leads Phyllis to agree to finally tell him the truth. Distracted from business for a hot minute, Victor receives a distress call from Los Angeles. Adopting a “Go big or go home” motto, Jack makes a bold move to protect Jabot. Audra has never been a quitter. So we suppose we shouldn’t be surprised that she pleads her case to Nate again.

Noah and Sienna attempt a daring escape while Mitch shoots down an offer from [Spoiler]. Well, this oughta be epic: Victor confronts his family’s latest tormentor, Matt Clark — and not a moment too soon, either, because Sharon and Nick find themselves backed into a corner. As for Sienna and Noah, the illicit lovers plot their escape from the villain’s clutches.

A shocking betrayal goes down at the warehouse — plus, Victor’s next move momentarily halts Mitch in his tracks. In what promises to be a singularly action-packed episode, Victor turns the tables on an enemy as Matt Clark forces Noah’s hand. Meanwhile, the show just pounded the final nail into one couple’s relationship — and one of the two of them doesn’t even know it yet. Read all about it here.

Kyle and Claire toast revenge after she throttles Audra — and Jack gambles by encouraging [Spoiler] to steal the AI. Victor’s not gonna like this: Jack trusts his former and his nemesis’s current wife, Nik, with a secret. As Diane and Kyle dig for dirt on Victor, might we suggest that they pick up a copy of Ruthless? We’ve always heard it’s a real page-turner! Audra should know better by now than to push Claire’s buttons. This time, Victoria’s daughter blows her stack with the pot-stirrer.

Coming up...

Victor sets in motion not one but two attacks on his enemies, Billy and Sally cross their fingers that this Abbott Communications launch party will go better than the last one, Lily reverses her stance on former husband Cane, and Michael and Lauren celebrate a major milestone in their marriage. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Tuesday, December 9:

In a very special episode, Michael pulls out all the stops to give Lauren the surprise of a lifetime on their anniversary.

Having gone a whole day without attacking anyone, Victor launches his assault on Jack and Jabot.

At a crossroads in his life, Nate takes Lily into his confidence.

Determined to protect Sharon, Nick takes matters into his own hands.

The Bold & the Beautiful

Last week...

As Katie expresses her displeasure with Brooke, Steffy and Finn’s perfect day is marred by a stunning confession. It’s always something with Will and Electra. This week, they are left reeling over the reveal of the identity of the person who ran over Luna. Meanwhile, we practically had to be reminded who the character is! Steffy and Finn are committed to moving forward. In other words, they’re about to be dealt a twist that will leave them moving sideways, if not backwards. Isn’t that always the way? Bill attempts to convince Katie to leave Forrester Creations for Spencer Publications. What? And face accusations that she’s sleeping with the boss?

As Finn opens his heart and forgives Dylan, Katie’s just about had it with Ridge and Brooke. Dylan confesses to Steffy and Finn that she made roadkill of Luna. Cue the shocked faces. And possibly Steffy offering a cash reward for the service Dylan has performed for humanity. Brooke and Ridge reminisce. Katie is disappointed that sis Brooke is not supporting her. Sheesh, how much does Katie wanna handle the fallout from Luna-gate?

Bill and Ridge explode at one another over Katie — plus, Eric makes a fervent plea. Bill confronts Ridge over what he’s done to Katie. Hey, it can’t possibly be worse than the engagement string, can it? Donna blindsides Brooke with news about Eric. Bad news, needless to say. His mystery ailment hasn’t returned, has it?

As Ridge pushes Eric out with a Judas kiss, Sheila does backflips to convince Deke she’s nice and normal. It’s family bonding galore as Deacon, Hope, and Deke spend time together. Without Sheila? Hmm… When Ridge and Eric have a heated conversation about the Forrester family’s future, let’s just say that it doesn’t go well. He is not ready to be put out to pasture!

We’d have thought they’d have discussed this eons ago, but only now is Steffy telling Finn about her deep connection to her grandpa. Once again, everyone is left fretting over Eric’s health.

Coming up...

It’s love and war... On one end of the canvas, we pick up where we left off with Ridge declaring that Eric is retiring and the Forrester family’s patriarch declaring that he is not, and no way, no how can his son make him.

Now, we know that both Eric and Ridge are stubborn as hell, so it will be interesting to see whether they elect to do battle or a compromise can be reached. Honestly, Ridge should have listened to Daphne in the first place: Eric damn well should have a say in his own future! But we digress.

On the other end of the canvas, Liam and Hope are all set to retie the knot with daughter Beth as the officiant. And you might think, “They’re in love, they’re committed… What could possibly go wrong?” Well, the answer to that question is none other than Sheila.

Yep, Hope’s wicked stepmother has been left off the guest list. And to put it mildly, she isn’t taking it well. Sheila just told Deke that she saw the event as a chance to show the world that the Sharpes are a family united. In the week ahead, the “reformed” psycho runs straight to her husband’s shrink to complain — and float the idea of crashing the ceremony.

That would be crazy. Taylor makes the mistake of telling Sheila, who’s already been “fatally” shot, her once back in the day. Is the therapist putting herself in danger by attempting to reason with Sheila? After all, it was only a few weeks ago that she was threatening (to Li) to murder Taylor if anything ever happened between her and Deacon.

Anyway you slice it, the “Lope” wedding is going to be the place to be! If nothing else, there seem to be more refreshments than the one sad bottle of champagne that was brought in for Eric’s forced-retirement “party.”
