Beyond the Gates

Last week...

Vernon vows to be there for Anita, Eva, and Izaiah figure things out, and a new bartender catches both Dani and Vanessa’s eye. How do you deal with the kind of news that Anita and Vernon are struggling with? Finding their new normal proves more difficult than they could have imagined. What does it take to surprise a guy like Joey Armstrong? The kind of offer Leslie is about to make to me! Longtime friends Dani and Vanessa find themselves in an unexpected situation… and it involves a man! Why is Eva pulling back where her budding relationship with Izaiah is concerned?

Don’t miss a performance by Kenny Lattimore. The Dupree sisters receive news that will knock the wind right out of their sails. Might Ted and Shanice be moving out of the friend zone? It looks that way to us… Chelsea is whipping up a new scheme even as Derek and Ashley are having a hella awkward conversation.

The soap will be pre-empted today for coverage of the Sun Bowl, a sporting event which has been played annually since 1935!

The new year has a depressing start for Kat and Martin, who are the latest to hear — via Nicole — the news currently rocking their family. But how does what’s happening lead to an argument between the siblings? Left reeling, Dani makes it clear she needs Bill’s attention… and you can imagine exactly how well that goes down with his current wife! A visit to their grandparents takes a shocking turn for Chelsea and Naomi.

Dani gives Vernon a shoulder to cry on while Anita receives heartfelt advice from her former son-in-law. Having learned from the past, Martin comes completely clean with Smitty. Meanwhile, Kat doesn’t quite do the same where Tomas is concerned. Ted manages to catch his daughter off guard… although we’re not really sure which one, Kat or Eva!

Coming Up...

It's only a few days into 2026, and already a dark cloud hangs over the Dupree family as Nicole and Dani await the results of their genetic tests. Elsewhere, Leslie is propositioned, Shanice has news to share, and Martin struggles to understand what his son is going through.

Monday, January 5:

Nicole and Dani may have moved on, but each finds it tough to deny the draw they feel toward their respective exes as they continue to deal with the emotional fallout of Anita’s diagnosis.

Jacob and Naomi see something rather suspicious.

Kat has what can only be called a really rough morning.

Tuesday, January 6:

Things turn tense when an unexpected visitor stops by to see Anita.

A bit of shocking news sends Vanessa running straight to Joey with a request.

Leslie approached Joey with a proposition. Today, he makes one of his own… and it comes with a catch!

How will Ashley react to what Shanice shares with her?

When Dani needs wise words, Vernon is there to provide them.

Why are Chelsea and Kat suddenly clashing?

Jacob and Andre bond while worrying about their respective wives.

The Bold & the Beautiful

Last Week...

Liam and Carter race to secure the rights to ‘Logan’, and Dylan comes clean with Will and Electra. They’re not fighting over Ridge or Bill, but the use of the name Logan. And honey, it’s gonna get ugly between Brooke and Katie! Wanna know how ugly? Brooke and Ridge turn to Carter for legal advice… about how to keep his ex-girlfriend from using her surname to launch her fashion house. After getting a gander at Dylan’s car, Will continues to try to convince Electra that Hayes’s teacher is unhoused.

The rights to ‘Logan’ are secured, and Dylan receives an offer she can’t refuse. With the Logan trademark up for grabs, Carter and Liam race against time and one another to call “Dibs!” on it. Whether Dylan wants it or not, Will and Electra offer their house-guest their support. Once and for all, Bill wants Katie to be free and clear of the Forresters. Something tells us that between her new job, new hairdo, and new attitude, she’ll have shed her old ties before her “husband” knows it!

Bill confronts Ridge, and Katie kicks Brooke out. Bill angrily confronts Ridge — as if he’d ever confront the dressmaker any other way! Not that it’s really any of Carter’s business, but he lays the blame for the Brooke/Katie rift squarely at Bill’s feet. Shouldn’t the COO be canoodling with Daphne right about now? Katie’s taken all that she can take. She finally gets emotional with Bill as she rattles off a list of Brooke’s misdeeds. Are we sure that this is a half-hour show?

It may feel like it’s Groundhog Day on New Year’s Day as Bold & Beautiful re-airs an episode from the summer of 2025.

Katie unleashes her inner saboteur — hey, Brooke! — Electra all but shoves Dylan back out the door. As Dylan thanks Will and Electra for their support, we gotta wonder: Can we really take Ms. Nice Guy at face value? In Katie’s corner now as much as ever, Brooke, Ridge, and Carter continue to undermine Will’s mom as she branches out on her own.

Coming Up...

Forrester’s loss may well be Logan’s gain, Carter’s up to his old tricks, and Steffy fears that soon Sheila will be, too!

Katie and Deke’s ‘Clothes’ Encounter

We called it. Didn’t we all? As soon as Steffy forced Hope to fire her half-brother, aka the hottest thing to hit designing since the sketchpad, we predicted that he’d wind up being snatched up by Katie’s upstart fashion house. Sure enough, in the week ahead, the newly minted CEO has herself a sit-down with Deke in which she suggests that “I might be able to help you fulfill your dreams, and you might be able to help me prove my sister wrong.”

Carter Proposes to Daphne

Elsewhere on the canvas, Carter is… Oh, gee. He’s Carter-ing in a big way. Never have we seen a character quite so hell-bent on getting married. He gets down on bended knee in front of Daphne, presumably to pop his favorite question. “You’re not pushing me away,” he tells his girlfriend after all of 10 minutes. “I love you.”

The question is, will Daphne agree to become Mrs. Carter Walton? She knows that he’s on the rebound from Hope, and considering how much everyone gossips at Forrester, she’s also gotta know that proposing is sorta his go-to move.

Taylor Shocks Steffy

Finally, it would appear that Taylor is going to confide in Steffy that she’s caught feelings for Deacon. In turn, Steffy is like, “How do I hate this… Let me count the ways.” For starters, “you can’t fall for a patient,” Steffy tells her mother — and especially not this one. “He’s married to a lunatic.”

Unbeknownst to either of them, the lunatic in question also recently informed Li that if anything ever happened between the shrink and Deacon, she’d kill Taylor. And for Sheila, it wouldn’t even be the first time that she sent the doc to an early grave!

The Young & the Restless

Last Week...

Nick beats up Matt Clark, and Jack shuts down Phyllis. Nick never wanted to play a dangerous game with his old nemesis, Matt Clark. Nevertheless, play it, Nick must. As the week begins, his next move is to call Matt’s bluff. For months, Phyllis has been kinda the equivalent of a human wrecking ball. But she’s about to reverse course, surprisingly, as she gives former husband Jack an unexpected gift. As enamored of Sienna as he is, Noah has no choice but to worry about her safety. If there’s one thing worse than having a loved one drive on snowy winter roads, it’s gotta be having them in Matt Clark’s clutches!

Jack’s hopes are dashed by Nikki, and Holden comes clean with Claire. When one displeases Victor, heaven knows that he is quick to make them feel his wrath. But when does one please Victor? Well, that’s a different story, one Michael soon will be able to tell since the boss is about to reward his loyalty. Somewhere, Victor is sure to be fuming as Nikki shares a secret with Jack. Nothing could tick off her husband more. Well, maybe if she wrote Ruthless 2: You Don’t Know the Half of It. Though Claire stands by her actions, is she doing so on solid ground?

Sally hangs out with Adam, Lily, and Cane kiss, and Daniel and Tessa have sex. Cane’s motto is clearly “Hope springs eternal.”Even though he’s broken Lily’s heart more times than we can even fathom, he still makes another bold move in hopes of impressing his ex. As Adam and Sally discuss their complicated past, you can review all their ups and downs in our photo gallery that tells their thwarted love story. Tessa explores her feelings for Daniel.

On New Year’s Day, the show is going to party like it’s 1998 as it repeats an episode from that year in which Jill interrupts Katherine Chancellor’s bash with a shocking announcement.

Tessa files for divorce, Mariah follows Ian, and Matt plots to kill Noah and Sienna. Finally, Victor decides to target someone who actually deserves targeting: He and Nick plot against Matt Clark. When Daniel makes a promise to Tessa, we can only hope that he keeps it better than the one he made to Lily to be faithful and all that. (Yes, we’re still bitter!) Mariah enters the new year in much the same way as she spent the old one: She is haunted by Ian Ward.

Coming Up...

Jack makes Victor an offer that’s sure to leave our jaws on the floor, as well as The Mustache’s. Plus, Phyllis plays the devil on Cane’s shoulder, Holden and Audra say “Bygones!” and more.

Monday, January 5:

Can you imagine getting a call from the great and powerful Victor Newman? We’re shaking in our shoes just thinking about it — and on Monday, somebody’s not just getting a message from him but an ominous message!

Noah could do worse than to listen, and closely, to Sharon when she tries to counsel him through his fears for Sienna.

After being toyed with for so long by Matt, Nick at last finds himself in the driver’s seat.

Tuesday, January 6:

The trouble with being in the driver’s seat? Sometimes ya crash! As Nick’s plan for Matt takes a turn for the dangerous, his parents receive unsettling news. Coincidence? We think not.

As Daniel and Tessa grow closer and closer, his mom Phyllis wants to not only know everything but, of course, also comment on it!

Wednesday, January 7:

Lily says “Hell no!” to the idea of reuniting with Cane. But now she’s not only giving him hope, but she’s sending mixed signals.

Even as Nikki and Michael conspire to help Jack, Diane gets testy about her husband’s loyalty to his former wife.

Thursday, January 8:

Kyle makes himself useful by helping his dad gain leverage against Victor.

They’ve been frenemies, collaborators, lovers… and now Cane and Phyllis are switching gears again.

At long last, Audra and Holden wipe the slate clean and agree to a fresh start.

Friday, January 9:

While Lily wants Cane to be a do-gooder, Phyllis is whispering in his ear, encouraging him to tap into his dark side.

Nobody said taking on Matt was gonna be easy. It’s another setback for Nick to end the week.

What is Jack playing at when he makes Victor a shocking offer?

The soap will kick off the new year with a very special rerun. What makes it worth revisiting? It features a stand-out performance from Anthony Geary in what would be his final full episode as Luke. Monday, January 5:

Anyone who thinks Laura won’t stand her ground is unfamiliar with her history.

Tuesday, January 6:

When the tag-team of Carly and Valentin put their heads together, what kind of plan will they cook up?

Lulu and Nathan are bonded by their concern.

Tracy makes a vow, which, if you know anything about her at all, is something to be taken seriously!

Brook Lynn and Sonny reconnect.
