While it was confirmed a while back that actor Freddie Smith would return to the role of Sonny on “Days Of Our Lives,” there was no word whether his appearance would be short-term like it was when Smith returned for Will’s funeral last fall.
Now, the Official Freddie Smith Facebook Fanpage confirms that Smith is indeed on contract and we’ll first see him in July. No exact airdate has been released yet.
We guess it’s time for Sonny to return to town after doing Uncle Victor’s business bidding over in Europe. Apparently, Sonny will once again become involved with ex-lover, Paul (Christopher Sean).
According to the June 6 issue of Soap Opera Digest, things are about to get hot and heavy between the exes.
“Sonny returns to Salem to help help his family through tough times and his relationship with Paul grows,” Executive Producer Ken Corday told Digest. “Paul will be coming more to the foreground with Sonny back in town.”
Soap Shows is glad to hear Sean’s talents won’t be wasted on silly stories like The Yo Ling Saga and instead will be used as Sonny and Paul explore their feelings for each other.
