Ryan Paevey’s Shocking Announcement & Thoughts on Naxie

General Hospital fans know Ryan Paevey as Nathan West, one-half of “Naxie” with Kirsten Storms’ Maxie Jones. Recently, the actor revealed some surprising news in an interview! Unfortunately for those who love Nathan, Paevey announced he’s taking a break from Port Charles even though Nathan and Maxie just recently tied the knot. He said “I am taking a very brief break from GH for a little while to go and be the villain for a change.” The actor will briefly be off screen while he films a brand new movie. “I don’t know how much I’m allowed to give you, but I’m going to be on a plane to Kentucky here in the next three or four days, and I’ll probably be there for about a month,” Paevey told ABC 7. The actor revealed that he didn’t even know for sure if Nathan and Maxie would say “I do” until he actually got the script and read the words. As for the newlywed couple, he believes, “We’ll probably be happy and peaceful for a little while, so you can breathe easy for a minute.” But, he only said a minute, so perhaps fans shouldn’t get too complacent with this couple just yet! While he expressed his disbelief at his acting success, which is the result of a lot of hard work, he also revealed a pretty awesome trick of the trade, that his sweat never dries in his many shirtless scenes. He laughed as he said he’s, “coated in Pam non-stick spray. It’s sweat that never dries.” Did you know this is one way that soap stars prepare for their sexy shirtless appearances? While there aren’t any official details about how long he’ll be away from GH, it seems like his absence will be short-lived. How do you feel about this news? Do you think that Maxie and Nathan will have at least a brief period of happiness? General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Share your thoughts, leave a comment in the section below. If This Pairing Happens, it will be a Shocker on The Young and the Restless!

Now that Devon’s ditched Hilary on The Young and the Restless, the timing could be right for a romance with someone new… Someone like Mariah (Camryn Grimes). She’s the antithesis of his scheming estranged wife, Hilary. Mariah doesn’t care about fame, fortune or social status. She’s brutally honest and a what-you-see-is-what-you-get kind of girl. And she’s definitely more befitting a good man like Devon. Soap Hub polled fans about whether you’d like to see Mariah and Devon together. The question sparked major interest, garnering some 7,000 responses. Yes, Bring It On Lily (Christel Khalil) isn’t the only one who believes her brother deserves better. So do 59% of fans, who find Mariah an intriguing option as Devon’s next love interest. Since she began working at GC Buzz, the pair have developed a nice friendship. It’s clear Mariah genuinely cares about Devon and his well-being, and he, in turn, knows he can count on her to always tell it like it is. It’s a refreshing change from his duplicitous wife, Hilary. No, He Loves Hilary Devon (Bryton James) may have told Hilary they’re done and thrown her out of their home, but the truth is he still loves her. It’s too soon to even consider him moving on with anyone else, and that’s why 30% of you responded no. While you may like Mariah, you still feel Hilary is Devon’s soulmate. It’s not going to be that easy for him to forget about her and move on with anyone. It Depends on the Story A Mariah and Devon match could work, according to 12% of you, but it would totally depend on the storyline. For one thing, it would have to progress slowly. You can’t imagine Devon kicking Hilary (Mishael Morgan) to the curb one day, and hooking up with Mariah the next. Devon’s not a player. He’s totally serious when it comes to relationships. Surprising Adversaries Pop Up on Our Favorite Soap Operas

People love to call soap operas predictable, but that isn’t always true. Case in point when characters you would think should get along suddenly turn on each other. There were several of these instances over the last few months and Soap Hub thought we would share some of our favorites. Mean Granny Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) could and should have been a bit more understanding of poor Chad’s grief after his wife (and her daughter) Abigail “died” in a plane crash on Days of Our Lives. But rather than offer to help him out with Thomas’s care, she took him to court to fight him for custody of the baby. We’re still waiting for that tasty tidbit to come out now that Abigail’s back from the dead. Mirror Mirror on the Wall You’d think Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) would remember that she wasn’t to-the-manor born either and would cut poor Sharon a bit of slack on The Young and the Restless. She has been hard on the girl pretty much from the moment Nicholas laid eyes on her back in high school, and she hasn’t let up since. Perhaps Sharon reminds her too much of herself in her early years – except for the big difference that Sharon was never a stripper or had to be rescued after joining a cult. DĂ©jĂ  Vu It’s hard to remember back to a time when General Hospital’s Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) wasn’t Carly’s biggest cheerleader. She is the perfect supportive mom – well ever since Carly stopped conniving, trying to hurt Bobbie by stealing her husband. Sound familiar? It does to Bobbie too — and that’s why she’s had Nelle’s number ever since the young upstart arrived on the Port Charles scene. Normally, Bobbie loves everything Carly, so it was a bit surprising when she took an instant dislike to her daughter’s protĂ©gĂ© — but we’re so glad she has! Butting-In Grandfather We thought Steffy hung the moon – or at least it seemed that way to hear her grandfather Eric (John McCook) speak about her. So, it was quite a shock to hear him berating her for living with her boyfriend Liam before her divorce from Wyatt (and Eric’s new beloved stepson) is finalized. Really Eric? You used to adore Liam – and everything Steffy has ever done. Interesting to see Eric, who has shared women with his son (and may again), suddenly morph into the morality police. Which Port Charles Beauty Is Sonny’s Ideal Woman?

Pity General Hospital’s poor, misunderstood mobster, Sonny. All he does is think about others, everything he does is for the benefit of his family and society at large (murder, blackmail, extortion and glassware shattering, included), and yet this paragon of virtue still struggles with his love life! Surely, there’s not justice in the world. What woman would you like to see Sonny (Maurice Benard) with? Over 2,000 fans weighed in. Narly Carly On-again, off-again, on-again, off-again, married, divorced, married, divorced, married, affair… rinse, repeat. Carly (Laura Wright). Sonny can’t live with her, and he can’t kill her. (Though shooting her in the head while she was giving birth came close to testing that theory.) And it seems you feel the same way. A whopping 93% of you voted in a landslide that Sonny belongs with Carly, no matter what sin either of them commits — and there are certainly plenty to choose from with this pairing. Love the One You’re With So she wore a wire meant to entrap him, faked her death, lied to him about her long-lost child and, worse of all, seems to have the same taste in men as Carly when it comes to her anti-Sonny options. Still 6% of fans cling to the notion that Brenda (Vanessa Marcil) is Sonny’s soulmate, not to mention a better fit than Carly. Brenda was Sonny’s first major love (before Kate/Connie were added to the checklist), and many of you believe she should be the last. Misc. It was a tiny fraction, only 1% of viewers, who voted Other, but, among your suggestions were a reunion with mother of Sonny’s first child, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), a plea for someone new, so that the endless back and forth with Carly, Brenda et. al. could, in fact, end, and the prompt for Sonny to choose “himself.” And maybe give the women of Port Charles a break. Nadia Bjorlin Dishes On The Moment of Truth For Chloe and Nicole

It’s the moment of truth on Days of Our Lives. At long last, Chloe tells Nicole that baby Holly isn’t her child, but actually Nicole and Daniel’s biological daughter. Albeit the circumstances are less than ideal: The big reveal comes at the police station, where Nicole has been arrested for attacking the hitman who was about to kill Deimos. Forced to ‘Fess Up “Brady pushes Chloe into doing this,” explains Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe). “It’s, ‘If you don’t say something, I will.’ So she’s kind of forced to say something and to also maybe reconcile any kind of relationship or friendship that she and Nicole have had. Chloe says, ‘This is my side of the story. This is why I did this, before you hear it from Brady, Deimos or whatnot.’” Chloe lays things out matter-of-factly. “She explains her reasoning. She goes on about how Deimos can’t be trusted and is dangerous criminal. Then, she tells Nicole (Arianne Zucker), ‘Look at you now. Look where you’ve gotten yourself to,’” continues Bjorlin, referring to the fact that her friend has now been arrested. “Chloe says she’s wanted to tell Nicole the truth for so long, but she’s proven to be so irrational and irresponsible. Basically, it’s, ‘You gave me no choice, but to keep this from you.’” A Furious Friend None of Chloe’s words or excuses appease Nicole. Nor does Nicole understand why “her friend” would keep this secret from her. “Nicole is absolutely furious,” recounts Bjorlin. “She lunges at Chloe, and Chloe is like, ‘See. Look at you. You’re unstable. You’re in a police station in cuffs and you’re trying to attack me.’” Taping those powerful scenes opposite Zucker were a high point for Bjorlin. “It’s always a good time working with Ari, whether we’re laughing or trying to kill each other,” Bjorlin delivers with a chuckle. “I think we have good chemistry, and we really sort of ‘play ball’ well together. We bounce back and forth and our ideas seem to mesh really well. We enjoy when we’re given good material, stuff that’s really meaty or emotional. We tried to really run the scenes beforehand and share what was motivating each of us.” Who Gets the Baby? With the truth finally out, Nicole wants immediate custody of her daughter, but it’s not meant to be. Instead, she ends up being charged with attempted murder by the police. “Chloe full on walks out with the baby and that also sets off Nicole,” adds Bjorlin, so Chloe quickly realizes she has to take definitive action. “Seeing Nicole in the situation she’s in [at the police station] is definitely the motivating factor.” The Custody Battle Begins Chloe meets with her old pal Belle, who just happens to be a lawyer, and asks her to represent her in a custody battle for Holly. “Belle initially goes, ‘Are you nuts?’” notes Bjorlin. “But Chloe insists that she’s doing this for all the right reasons, and Belle agrees to represent her. “Throughout all of this, Chloe brings up many times that she’s being responsible, that she’s the only one thinking about the safety of this child,” sums up Bjorlin. “That’s all Chloe cares about, what is best for Holly.” Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Who Should Be The One To Save Dylan?

Dylan’s trapped in a car with Fisk and not headed in the direction of the pier, where they were supposed to complete their drug deal on The Young and the Restless. Suffice it say, things don’t look good for the undercover cop. Nevertheless, Dylan (Steve Burton) has to play it cool, since his life is on the line and he wants to complete his undercover assignment and bring down the corrupt Fisk. As Dylan attempts to navigate his way through the precarious situation, Soap Hub asked who you’d like to see come along and save the day – and Dylan. Over 4.000 fans weighed in. Paul More than half of you, some 62%, voted for Dylan’s dad, Paul (Doug Davidson). He’s a seasoned detective, who’s been on the force for decades and knows the ins and outs of complicated cases like this. If anyone can handle this dangerous situation, it’s Paul. Add the impetus of saving his son, and he is the perfect person to come to Dylan’s aid. Alex Sexy Alex was immediately taken with Dylan and seems to have a soft spot for him, whether she totally trusts him or not. As a result, 22% of you would like to see her save Dylan. Perhaps she could plead Dylan’s case with Fisk and convince him her new lover is on the up-and-up. If that doesn’t work, maybe she could take Fisk out herself. Kevin The GCPD cyber king, Kevin (Greg Rikaart), is the man for the job, say 10% of you. You believe he’d be able to track Dylan down the quickest and find a way to intercept the car he’s traveling in with Fisk. Once that happened, crafty Dylan would find a way to remove himself from the dangerous situation he finds himself in. Sharon Considering she may have compromised the case, when she went against police rules and telephoned Dylan, 6% of you would like to see Sharon redeem herself by saving her husband. You’re not exactly sure how she’d do it, but you’d bet she’d involve Mariah in the plan, and you’d like to hope it would work. You care too much about Dylan to even think about him getting offed by Fisk. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Share your thoughts, leave a comment in the section below.
