If This Pairing Happens, it will be a Shocker on The Young and the Restless!
Now that Devon’s ditched Hilary on The Young and the Restless, the timing could be right for a romance with someone new…
Someone like Mariah (Camryn Grimes). She’s the antithesis of his scheming estranged wife, Hilary. Mariah doesn’t care about fame, fortune or social status.
She’s brutally honest and a what-you-see-is-what-you-get kind of girl. And she’s definitely more befitting a good man like Devon.
Soap Hub polled fans about whether you’d like to see Mariah and Devon together. The question sparked major interest, garnering some 7,000 responses.
Yes, Bring It On
Lily (Christel Khalil) isn’t the only one who believes her brother deserves better. So do 59% of fans, who find Mariah an intriguing option as Devon’s next love interest. Since she began working at GC Buzz, the pair have developed a nice friendship. It’s clear Mariah genuinely cares about Devon and his well-being, and he, in turn, knows he can count on her to always tell it like it is. It’s a refreshing change from his duplicitous wife, Hilary.
No, He Loves Hilary
Devon (Bryton James) may have told Hilary they’re done and thrown her out of their home, but the truth is he still loves her.
It’s too soon to even consider him moving on with anyone else, and that’s why 30% of you responded no. While you may like Mariah, you still feel Hilary is Devon’s soulmate. It’s not going to be that easy for him to forget about her and move on with anyone.
It Depends on the Story
A Mariah and Devon match could work, according to 12% of you, but it would totally depend on the storyline. For one thing, it would have to progress slowly.
You can’t imagine Devon kicking Hilary (Mishael Morgan) to the curb one day, and hooking up with Mariah the next. Devon’s not a player. He’s totally serious when it comes to relationships.
