“My role is not a nice person,” Haiduk tells Soap Hub. The film’s plot is about a young woman named Nicole Turner (Kelly Kruger, ex-Mac, YR) who is looking for a new place to live after surviving both a health scare and the end of a romantic relationship.
Dr. Julie Thomason (Haiduk) become Nicole’s landlord after renting her a room in her home. As the story unfolds, Nicole discovers that Julie’s quite a bit obsessive and possessive.
The movie’s a mini who’s who of the soap world. In addition to Haiduk and Kruger, actors Christopher Sean (ex-Paul, DAYS) and John-Paul Lavoisier (ex-Philip, DAYS) also appear in the thriller, as does Haiduk’s former YR castmate the late Kristoff St. John (ex-Neil), who died in February of this year.
St. John plays Dr. Fredericks. Sean plays Kyle, Nicole’s ex-boyfriend. Lavoisier’s character is named Benjamin.
“We shot it two months before [Kristoff] passed away,” Haiduk softly shares. “That’s why his [death] was so [surreal]. It’ll be sad to see him on screen, but it will be nice. We didn’t get to work too much together at YR, but we’d see each other at the studio and at parties. Never in my mind did I think [he wouldn’t be here].”
