DAYS Spoilers Photos: Bonnie’s Big Dream Day Becomes A Nightmare

DAYS spoilers photos for Wednesday, September 8, 2021, are here! Catch a glimpse of your favorite Salemites stirring up drama.

It’s Bonnie Lockhart’s (Judi Evans) wedding day but she will not be a blushing bride for very long. Sure, she makes it to the altar but it all goes wrong from there. Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) interrupts and blows her million-dollar secret out of hot water. And, what’s worse, is Calista Lockhart’s (Cady Huffman) body is found. Uh-oh! This is not going to be good.

Poor Bonnie goes from lifting her veil to being in cuffs. By the end of the night, Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) haul her off to a jail cell. Poor Justin Kiriakis’s (Wally Kurth) world will fall apart as the hits just keep on coming.

Justin’s love life may be in the dumps, but it looks like Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) is picking up. He and Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) share a lovely dinner with the Grants and then cherish their alone time when the detectives head to the wedding mess. It looks like Paulina and Abe are back on track. It’s too bad her secret is lurking between them.

DAYS Star Deidre Hall Utters Famous Words on Beyond Salem

Within a year of its debut, NBC’s Days of our Lives has begun with the voice of the late Macdonald Carey uttering the famous phrase, “Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.” For those watching Beyond Salem on Peacock this week, they were treated to a surprise by Deidre Hall.

Deidre Hall’s Beyond Salem Introduction

You may have been amazed to hear those famous words uttered by Hall. “I felt honored and deeply moved to be chosen to introduce #BeyondSalem,” Hall posted on her social media accounts. “Enjoy these spectacular five days on @peacockTV”

Deidre Hall included a photo of her behind the microphone, as well as the script she was reading from, that included the words to the iconic introduction. She also added a video showing the opening with her voice.

Having played Dr. Marlena Evans on the show for more than 40 years, and being the center of some of DAYS’ most notable storylines, the beloved actress is the perfect person to carry the torch. Fans certainly thought so, with hundreds of positive comments about her intro. “You are the face of Days for so many and it was such a treat hearing your voice in the intro to Beyond Salem,” one fan wrote. “Mac would be so proud.”

Another added that while “Macdonald’s voice has always kept Days feeling like home,” it’s Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn (John) who continue to make it feel that way for her. “Your voice doing the intro and you and Drake being involved in this new move is just amazing, and speaks to the longevity of you both,” she wrote.

And it wasn’t just fans of the show who weighed in. Martha Madison (Belle Black Brady) chimed, “It gave me goosies to hear you open the show” while Molly Burnett (ex-Melanie Jonas) called it “Epic!” DAYS fans shouldn’t worry that Carey’s voice will be no more. This was a way for Beyond Salem to have its own identity and do so in a way that still honors the show’s history.

Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem – Is It Worth the Watch?

Fun, fearless, and with a seemingly larger budget than its daytime counterpart, Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem has launched on Peacock. What’s working and what’s missing from the streaming spinoff of the long-running NBC soap? And, more importantly, is it worth the watch? Here’s a critique of the first two episodes of the mini-series.

Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem — The Groundwork

It’s got a classic and lively 1980s/1990s feel to it. There are locations and couples and capers. Charles Shaughnessy is back as superspy Shane Donovan and Lisa Rinna as fellow ISA agent Billie Reed. Newcomer Peter Porte (ex-Ricky Williams, The Young and the Restless) is dashing as the James Bond-like Kyle Graham.

Viewers get to catch up with popular duos, like Carrie Brady Reed (Christie Clark) and Austin Reed (Austin Peck) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey), and Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker). Current favorites like John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall), Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) and Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley), Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal), Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), as well as others, are along for the adventure and romance, too.

The Plot Thickens

Integrating the various locations – from Zurich to Phoenix to New Orleans to Miami – has worked seamlessly, as the quest to retrieve some stolen gems has taken off. Tying Princess Gina to the heist as the jewel thief was a nice twist. So, too, was bringing Greg Rikaart back as the lovably lecherous Leo Stark, who just happens to have a lead on the missing emerald.

There’s lots of action, too, from thugs robbing Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) at gunpoint to Lani and Eli slipping into police mode and chasing down the culprits. Billie and Kyle’s initial meeting was pretty fiery, too. She tackled him to the ground before learning he was her new ISA partner.

What’s Missing

With Beyond Salem focusing so heavily on the missing Alamainia peacock, it would have been nice to have actor Michael Sabatino back in some capacity. After all, he was once front and center as the diabolical Lawrence Alamain and a key figure on Days of our Lives. While the character is dead, the actor could have appeared in a flashback or, perhaps, as another Alamain entirely. An appearance by Louise Sorel as Vivian would have added to the drama, too.

Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem — A Few Questions…

What kind of work is Austin doing, these days, that he can suddenly afford to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a rare sapphire necklace for Carrie? Has he suddenly become a multimillionaire? It would have made more sense for Chad, a super-wealthy DiMera, to bid on the trinket for his estranged wife, Abigail (Marci Miller).

Are fans really supposed to believe that Paulina gave up her palatial Miami estate to move into a tiny apartment in Salem? Or that Paulina hobnobs with Gloria Estefan and Rosie O’Donnell and is pals with Michelle, as in former first lady Michelle Obama, and never mentioned it before?

And what was up with the impromptu tango in the park between Billie and Kyle? It just seemed silly and out of place. But dancing and the other above questions aside, Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem has everything you could hope for in a soap mini-series — love, romance, danger, and drama. All of which makes it totally worth watching,

DAYS Spoilers For September 9: Ava Spouts Hard Truths To Nicole

The DAYS spoilers for Thursday, September 9, 2021, tease a bromance deepening, a jealous girlfriend attempting to stave off her love rival, a scheme to oust a boss busted, and an out of the blue marriage request.

DAYS Spoilers Highlight

Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is in quite the pickle, what with his heart belonging to two different women, and all. So, is it any wonder that he turns to Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) – who knows a thing or two about complicated romantic relationships?

Opposite that male bonding, is a little catty behavior. Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) – lady love numero uno – confronts lady love two, Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker), and tells her all about Rafe’s not so unconscious feelings for her. Gasp, says Nicole; Rafe actually “likes” likes me? Who knew? Besides a seriously put-out Ava, of course.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Exes and Uh-oh

Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) share a warm moment…and the former attempts to use it to sway Chloe into bunking at his place. Not in a sexual way, mind you – Brady would hate that. And besides, they’d be sharing it with that sweet little Rachel, who never seems to actually be in anyone’s care. (Who watched her during Brady’s sojourn to New York?)

And while Chloe thinks long and hard about the offer – and how it may impact her (let’s be frank) practically nonexistent relationship with Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) – the embittered businessman in question busies himself with castigating underling Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) for her duplicity. But let’s face it, will that really curb Gabi’s quest for the throne of Titan?

DOOL Spoilers: Hot Mama

Did Abe Carver (James Reynolds) hear Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) clearly? Is she REALLY proposing that they get married?! Surely she jests! But it doesn’t appear that she does…it appears that she’s very, very serious. How will Abe feel about that?

Soap Spoilers: September 6-10/13-17, 2021

The Young and the Restless

Adam and Victor clash, Sharon asks one of her favorite exes a provocative question, Jack makes a confession to Phyllis, fear tightens its grip on Mariah, and as her wedding day approaches, Victoria sends messages the way we like our drinks: mixed.

Friday, September 3:

Adam puts on the brakes with Sally, and Abby finds Mariah feeding the baby!

Young & Restless wedding shocker! Will Victoria and Ashland’s nuptials actually marry off another couple?!?

There were times — and lots of ’em — when we thought that a day like this would never come, for on it, Victor and Adam share their plans for Newman Media’s future. Which for these two counts as extreme father/son bonding.

When Mariah is haunted by her past, it probably means the poor thing will be having flashbacks to being locked up in that horrid room with only Bowie to talk to and pregnancy protein bars to gnaw on. How will the beleaguered surrogate get past the ordeal to reclaim her life? Maybe it would help if she perused our photo gallery of other, less claustrophobic times in Camryn Grimes’ run on the show.

Week of September 6:

Hot topics! Young & Restless’ romantic shake-ups and catty conflicts — Plus, fans debate Adam’s love life, and will Mariah actually go *there*?

Monday, September 6:

In a surprising turn — because Nick consistently refuses to get involved in his father’s schemes, let alone do his dirty work — Victor recruits his elder son to sabotage Billy’s plans. What ace does the gambler have up his sleeve? And will Nick be able to stop him before the damage is done?

Adam and Sally hit the reset button, which may mean they’ve figured out that they’re just not that into dating each other. If so, is Adam still hoping to steal Sharon back from Rey against what appears to be all odds? Or is he entertaining the idea of giving his love with Chelsea a second (or sixth or seventh) chance?

Mariah worries about her safety, which is not exactly a shocker, given that the man who held her captive is still at large and on the run with the son he busted out of an institution! Considering how obsessed Stitch was with all things Abby, there’s every chance he could turn up back in Genoa City.

Tuesday, September 7:

As Abby struggles to contact Chance — who may not even realize yet that he’s become a father, much less make it home to help out with the little one — we have to wonder how long it will be before she tires of her husband putting his job first. Could this be leading to the heiress deciding to end the marriage that seems to be in name only — even if that name is Chancellor?

When Rey exposes Adam’s true motives, we have to assume that the intentions he reveals have to do with his wife Sharon — because let’s be real, don’t they always?!

Sharon and Tessa comfort Mariah, and we’re not gonna lie: With the surrogate struggling to let go of the baby, we see heartbreak in one woman’s future.

Wednesday, September 8:

We knew the honeymoon couldn’t last forever. On the heels of Newman Media’s launch party, Victor decides he disapproves of Adam’s decision-making. But as his son has reminded him in the past, Victor put Adam in charge of the new venture — so who will prevail?

When Devon opens up to Lily, will he be wrestling with feelings of attachment to his new biological son? Is he perhaps reconsidering his role in the child’s life, given that the intended father, Chance, is nowhere to be found?

Ashland surprises Nate with an unexpected invitation. This is a little out there, but we have to wonder if the tycoon will ask the doctor who was so kind to him the day he had a weak spell at Crimson Lights to be his best man. Honestly, who else could he ask?

Thursday, September 9:

When Jack comes clean with Phyllis, it can only mean he’s going to admit he’s in love with her still — or again — right?! Our soapy senses have been on high alert for a relationship flip-flop since Young & Restless set the stage for a #Phack comeback.

Is Victor concerned about the design of Victoria’s wedding dress or the state of Adam’s love life? We’re going to find out when The Mustache questions Sally’s intentions.

Friday, September 10:

When Nikki receives mixed messages from Victoria, it must be about the planning they’re doing for the great, big Italian nuptials. With all of the undercurrents surrounding the betrothed, we have to wonder: Will Victoria’s grand wedding go off with a hitch? And if so, will it be Ashland and Victoria… or two of their guests who tie the knot?!

It seems to us that Sharon already asked this once, so we have to wonder: What is her motive — and will she get a different response this time around — when she questions Adam about his future with Chelsea?

Ashland receives an unwelcome message, which could indicate that someone (OK, most likely Billy) who had been digging around in his past has finally hit pay dirt!

As Victoria prepares to march down the aisle once again, will Ashland finally be the one that lasts?

The Bold and the Beautiful

Eric catches Quinn with Carter, Zende challenges Paris to be honest, Sheila gets the upper hand on Steffy, and Finn makes the mother of all decisions.

Friday, September 3:

Sheila enacts a manipulative plot to undermine Steffy, and Eric overhears a shocking conversation!

In light of the revelations about his current struggles in the bedroom, it’s not surprising that Eric wants Brooke and Ridge to stay the heck out of his personal life. But when he demands they butt out, will they respect his wishes? If we know Brooke, and we do know Brooke, being rebuffed will only cause her to redouble her efforts. Meanwhile, could the soap be getting ready to tell a truly adult story that will get tongues wagging?

Red alert! Sheila’s anger and frustration at Steffy rises in intensity — which means we could be headed for a very dangerous, and even deadly, clash that could lead to the Forrester family reliving a familiar nightmare all over again!

Week of September 6:

Monday, September 6:

Ah. Well-played, Sheila. Well-played. Rather than unleash a hive of bees or whip out a gun, she faints — and gets just the reaction she’d hope for from Finn. Whereas anyone else would cheer the sight of the villainess collapsed, he actually gets emotional.

Eric may soon learn that ignorance really is bliss. While eavesdropping on Shauna and Quinn, he gets new perspective. Can the women’s topic be anything but the Forresters’ sex life — or lack of one?

Tuesday, September 7:

When Zende receives an unexpected earful from Paris about Steffy and Finn, will he get an inkling that she’s crushing on her handsome housemate?

Things become tense — well, tenser — when Steffy accuses Sheila of faking her illness. But let’s be real: Anyone who has ever met the baby-snatching, husband-stealing, enemy-drowning psycho would consider something like faking an illness child’s play for her.

Wednesday, September 8:

Aha. Apparently, Zende does have a lightbulb moment when Paris is going on and on about Finn and Steffy, because the designer later attempts to get her to admit that she’s sweet on the doctor. The question then becomes, will she be honest with Zende — and herself?

Oh, that’s cold: Sheila ups the ante with Steffy by showing her the emoji text that Finn sent. We can only imagine how hard it’ll be for her not to whack her antagonist upside the head with her phone!

Thursday, September 9:

When Eric spots Quinn and Carter having an intimate conversation, it has to provoke a reaction. But what kind? On one hand, it could stoke his jealousy anew. On the other, he could be moved to wonder about the wisdom of tying his wife to a sexless marriage.

Sheila’s plot to wreak havoc between Steffy and Finn is fully in motion. Where it will go next — and how nasty it will get — is anyone’s guess. But you might be able to glean some hints from this photo gallery of the she-devil’s past crimes and misdemeanors.

Friday, September 10:

If there’s one thing besides designing that Eric excels at, it’s wooing a woman. So expect to swoon as he turns on the charm and romances Quinn with dinner and a dance.

Torn between his birth mother and his wife, Finn makes a big decision. Which you would think would be easy: stand by the stranger who “murdered” your mother-in-law and tried to kill several other people… or stick with the woman you love, with whom you have started a family? But we suspect Finn will not only struggle to make this choice but make the wrong one. Let’s remember “Sinn” in relatively happier, simpler times, shall we, via a photo gallery full of memories.

Hot Topic: Sheila’s plot is as dastardly as it is familiar… and there’s something very shocking ahead for Eric/Quinn/Carter!

Friday, September 10:

Nina hopes cooler heads will prevail if she can just talk sense into Jax.

If Jason’s right and Cyrus is up to his old tricks, how will that impact his and Carly’s wedding plans?

Watch out, TJ, ’cause you’re about to get a big ol’ shock!

DAYS Star Judi Evans Delivers Heartfelt Message About Wearing Masks

Like Bonnie Lockhart, the feisty character she plays on Days of our Lives, Judi Evans is not afraid to speak her mind. And after what she went through healthwise last year, she’s earned that right.

Judi Evans Heartfelt Message

The actress has been posting some Twitter messages this past week saying a lot of what many people are thinking these days when it comes to mask-wearing and keeping people safe. Her little “tirade” occurred at the start of a trip.

“I can’t even. I’m sitting on an airplane and there are two people beside and in front of me who have been taking off their masks and leaving them off the whole flight!” she moaned. “Folks, if Dr.’s and nurses can do it for 12 [hour] shifts, we can do it for a 6-hour flight”

Evans knows first-hand what it’s like to have COVID, contracting the disease when she was in the hospital last year after a horseback riding accident. It only makes sense that she is so vocal about this issue. “It’s a MASK for God’s sake!!!!” she continued. “Not a suit of armor…..wear it and knock off the crap!!!!!”

While most fans supported her view, there were of course some who argued about their “rights” and not wanting to wear masks. Judi Evans apologized the next day for what she described as being “a little harsh” but explained how she was “hopping mad” seeing potentially innocent people being exposed without knowing it.

“We do need to keep talking, not yelling and jabbing each other….people are scared,” Evans wrote. “I get that we have to live and try to got back to whatever ‘normal’ is. We are all testing the waters with going out, seeing friends, being in groups. If wearing a mask and/or distancing as best we can, helps get us to that normal, how can it be a bad thing?”

To support her views, Evans talked about how she’s seen people, even friends, who have been put on ventilators after resisting taking the vaccine or wearing a mask. “Why do [we] fight we about it?
