Days of Our Lives Has Its Own Gold Medal Winners
The Olympics may have forced Days of Our Lives off the air for two weeks, but the show has its own stars who are gold-medal worthy. Sure, it may not have been in any event you saw, but they took home gold nonetheless.
The Skater
Kristian Alfonso (Hope) was once a dancer and ice skater, excelling in both categories. When she was only 13 years old, she won the gold medal in figure skating at the Junior Olympics. She may have gone far but a devastating sledding accident ended both her skating and dancing careers. She turned to modeling and found herself on the cover of 30 international magazines. It wasn’t long before she was spotted by a casting director for Days of Our Lives.
The Opera Singer
Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) studied music from a very young age. Her father was a world famous conductor/composer and fostered her love of music. In 1996, she competed in an international vocal competition in Verona, Italy. It’s there where she won the gold medal.
The Actress
Patrika Darbo (Nancy) appeared in the play, Daddy’s Dyin’…Who’s Got the Will? When they decided to do a film version, she got to re-create her same role in the film version. She received a Golden Cane Award at the 10th International Comedy Festival in Vevey, Switzerland.
