The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, August 23 reveal Phyllis on the warpath looking for her daughter, Sharon confessing a concern about her daughter, and Nikki making sure Ashley won’t be a threat to her daughter.

Guess Who’s Making Plans For Your Boyfriend’s Bed
Kyle (Michael Mealor) has many reasons for telling Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) about Summer’s (Hunter King) plans to plant herself in Billy’s (Jason Thompson) bed while he’s away on business in Philadelphia.
He could be doing it because he and Ashley want to make Billy look bad. He could be doing it so he can win his bet with Summer.
But, he frames it as a backward apology for telling Summer about Phyllis and Nick (Joshua Morrow).

Phyllis doesn’t care about the why. She only cares about the who, what, where, and when. So she takes off to find her daughter… for the mother of all dressings down.

New Friends
Sharon (Sharon Case) and Lily (Christel Khalil) bonded when Lily sobbed about her guilt for killing Hilary, and Sharon kept assuring her that going to prison for what was basically an accident won’t do anybody any good.
But, her own role in JT’s death is only one of the matters preying on Sharon’s mind. She’s also concerned about what Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) has gotten herself into now — and how that might hurt Mariah (Camryn Grimes).
News on Newmans
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is focused on bringing down Billy and re-installing herself as CEO of Jabot.

Still, that doesn’t mean she’ll completely ignore it if she learns something shocking about the Newmans.
Meanwhile, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) had made it her mission to protect the Newmans (at times, from themselves).
This means if Ashley is a threat to either Nikki or Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Mama will be there to take care of the problem.

General Hospital Star Welcomes A Bundle of Blue!

On Tuesday, General Hospital newcomer Chris Van Etten (Chet) welcomed a beautiful bundle of joy! The happy actor announced it in the cutest way via his Twitter account when he wrote, “We did a thing! #babymilo”

Little Milo Taylor Van Etten was born Tuesday, August 21. According to a post the actor retweeted back on June 12, it looks like the boy’s middle name was picked as a tribute to a fallen soldier friend.
In the tribute that was shared that day, Van Etten wrote the following for his friend, Taylor John Baune, a U.S. Marine who died on June 13, 2012.
“Has it really been 6 years? Still feels so recent. Though it technically happened around midnight on the 13th in Afghanistan, it would still be the 12th stateside.

“Good men gave up a lot that night but none more than you. Just know that your sacrifice was not in vain. If nothing else, it has given me a strength I never knew I had. I push on to live for the both of us, so that I can be proud of what we’ve done together when it’s my turn to come home. #neverforgotten”

A Stunning Salem Exit for Stephen Nichols!

While the news that Stephen Nichols was leaving Days of Our Lives broke months ago, we now know how — and when — he’ll be leaving Salem!

According to published reports, Nichols will last air on August 31 — and off camera, Steve will be arrested for espionage. It sounds like it was a last-minute fix after the show decided to show the actor the door.
As Soap Hub reported last week, the actor revealed in a tweet the real reason he was leaving the show, despite what had been reported previously.

So with that being the case, it makes sense that whatever the exit story they came up with would happen off-screen, meaning that we wouldn’t see it actually happen to Steve but rather we’d hear about it.
But having the character arrested for espionage is sadly an un-glorified end for a beloved and heroic character like Steve “Patch” Johnson, who has been on and off the show for over 30 years. On the plus side, at least they didn’t kill him off, not that it usually matters for anyone from Salem.
Should things work out down the line with the popular actor and the show, it should be easy enough to rescue Steve on what we’d all like to believe are trumped up charges. After all, with his brother Jack (Matt Ashford) returning soon, a reunion with Steve would be must-see viewing.

The Young and the Restless spoilers breakdown for Thursday, August 23 reveal rising tensions, temper tantrums, and the mother of all confrontations!

Not All Neighbors Are Friendly
Sharon (Sharon Case) struggles with all the changes coming her way. Between Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) new venture, being forced to get along with her enemies, and looking for a new home, she’s reached the end of her rope.
She and Nick take a few moments to reconnect but being with a budding entrepreneur is a lot harder than she thought.
Well, she better cherish it because teasers show she may not have these luxuries much longer. Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) digging up dirt and he has his sights set on Sharon as a prime suspect!

Billy Fights Back!
Poor Billy (Jason Thompson) has his hands full between out maneuvering his girlfriend’s daughter, getting along with his ex, and dealing with Nick (Joshua Morrow). It seems this trip away couldn’t come at a worse time for him, the company, and Victoria (Amelia Heinle).

The good news is that Nick’s keeping the Jaboutique leases. The bad news is that he’s raising the rent sky high!
Those extra zeroes could make or break Billy’s project and he sets out to get this mess sorted out. But, instead of making it better, the confrontation could make it worse.
Nick refuses to budge and is ready, willing, and able to fight in court!
Things go from bad to worse when Billy turns to Jack for support. He learns his brother wanted to do much worse than just go for a bigger cash grab. If it were up to Jack, Billy would be looking for new buildings!

To top off an already stressful day, Billy and Victoria have a blow out over the kids. This is his weekend with the kids and she’s not happy having to take over. Vicky’s already doing the bulk of the parenting and it’s time for Billy to put in his time, too!
The tension causes Billy to direct his anger at Kyle and Ashley when he gets to Jabot. They say they’re there to help but he knows better. He even puts the duo on notice that if they make one misstep he’ll send them both packing!
Is Vicky Sick?
Meanwhile, Vicky’s stressed to the max and needs a break. She’s struggling with the children, struggling with her secret, and even struggling to stay awake at work.
When Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) finds her asleep at her desk she demands Vicky get checked out. Could Vicky be suffering from another mysterious illness?
Phyllis and Summer Face Off!
Meanwhile, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) can’t wrap her head around Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) accusations and even tries turning the tables on him.
She accuses him of being jealous and petty and trying to destroy Summer’s life. However, the seed is planted and now Phyllis is on a mission to prove the young man wrong. Unfortunately, all she does is prove him right.
After kissing Billy goodbye she turns her attention to Summer and rummages through her daughter’s bags hoping for proof, and boy, will she find it.
Right there, in Summer’s bag is a ticket to Philly and Phyllis won’t waste any time and confronting her speechless daughter with that dirty secret!

General Hospital Spoilers: Dr. Bensch Is Back And Ready For Revenge!

General Hospital spoilers for Thursday, August 23 reveal a day of confrontations and suspicions throughout Port Charles. You won’t want to miss a moment of this edge-of-your-seat episode.

The Nightmare Isn’t Over
Just because Kiki (Hayley Erin) won a civil case against Dr. Bensch (James DePaiva) doesn’t mean that she no longer has to deal with him.
He may have been found guilty of sexual harassment, but Monica (Leslie Charleson) admitted there is nothing she can do about his employment… for now.
Therefore, Bensch is determined to make Kiki’s work and med school life a living hell. He may not try to touch her (or maybe he will), but he has every intention of treating her like garbage and ruining her budding career.

He starts his new quest tomorrow, and it won’t be pretty for Kiki. And, Griffin (Matt Cohen) is not even there to come to her defense.

Mistaken Identity
Meanwhile, things are not going well at Ferncliff as it seems to be clear that Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) is stuck there and Ryan is wandering the streets of Port Charles.
The man in Ferncliff tries to warn the people holding him that there’s a very dangerous person wandering about. If that is Ryan Chamberlain, then that’s an understatement indeed.
Carly’s Obsession
With Carly (Laura Wright) out of Ferncliff, she can’t get the man sending those SOS messages out of her mind, and she tells Jason (Steve Burton) that something is going on and she needs to know what it is.

This just makes Jason obsess over her more, as his concern about the after-effects of her time in that hospital intensifies.
A Bad Situation Gets Worse
At the PCPD, Chase (Josh Swickard) learns that his brother is now in a hostage situation and missing. He worries he’ll never get to know his brother, but we doubt Finn is thinking about him.
Finn (Michael Easton) and Anna’s (Finola Hughes) captors have made things more precarious for them than ever, and Finn has to think fast on his feet to get them out of there alive.

When DAYS Meets GH: Kate Mansi And Ryan Carnes Land New Flick

Days of Our Lives star Kate Mansi will be joining General Hospital star Ryan Carnes in an exciting new film.

According to Soap Opera News, the thriller is called The Perfect One, and is about a new mother who gets more than she bargained for when she joins the neighborhood mommy group.
It’s written and directed by Nick Everhart, who previously directed The Wrong Son with former daytimer Tammy Blanchard (ex-Drew Jacobs, Guiding Light).
There are conflicting reports about whether the movie is currently filming or is still in pre-production but it looks like it’s set for a 2018 release, so things will probably be moving fast if they aren’t already.

Carnes, who plays Lucas on General Hospital, seems poised to have his time on the show increase now that Lucas and Brad (Parry Shen) have adopted Michael’s (Chad Duell) supposedly dead baby, Jonah, whom they’re calling Wiley.
Carnes hasn’t had a lot to do up until now on the show so if he’s shooting a movie at the same time, he can probably still fit that in without him having to be temporarily replaced on the show.
Mansi, on the other hand, is portraying a front-burner character on Days of Our Lives, as Abigail, who is always in the middle of everything. But it is unknown, since the show shoots six months ahead, whether or not she is even still shooting on DAYS.
There had been rumors that her co-star, Billy Flynn (Chad) was no longer on the show and if that turns out to be true, their characters probably would have been written off together.
Either way, the actress more than likely only agreed to come back for her (rumored) short stint on the condition that she was allowed outs for film projects like this one.
