Devon (Bryton James) doesn’t want to hear Lily’s apologies, he doesn’t want to hear Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) entreaties, and he doesn’t give a damn if Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) spend the next twenty years talking to their mother behind bars. Justice must be served!
But will Lily going to jail really be justice? Who is truly to blame for Hilary’s accident?
They’re all guilty, 68% of you pronounce! Shauna (Camryn Hamm) and Charlie for sneaking off to be together, Shauna for running off, Charlie for telling his mom they had to go after her, Lily for running the red light, and Hilary for dying. Plus that truck driver, for driving that truck.
The Buck Stops Here
Lily was driving, so Lily is responsible, duh, 16% point out the obvious. She was so busy yelling at Hilary and telling her what a terrible mother she’s make, that Lily committed manslaughter. Way to set an example, Mama!
One On One
And then there’s the 1% each of the audience who pins the blame on Charlie and Hilary.
Charlie should have never defied his mother and hung out with Shauna while they were alone. And Hilary shouldn’t have taken such offense to Lily being furious about it.
Hilary was so busy defending Shauna and trying to paint Lily as an uptight prude, she distracted Lily. Who took her eyes off the road. And ran a red light.
Devon is carrying on as if his wife of two minutes was a saint, when we all know she gave as good as she got when it came to Lily.
