Abby will, of course, be experiencing a switch when Marci Miller leaves the role and Kate Mansi returns.
But which of the actors who are part of this legendary Salem family enjoys dual citizenship — and which country do they have as their second? Read on to find out.
Melissa Reeves
While Reeves has been in Southern California for decades now, ever since she debuted on the soap opera Santa Barbara in 1984, she was born in Eatontown, New Jersey. She has cast as Jennifer after about a year on SB and has played the Salem sweetie on and off ever since.
Casey Moss
Moss, who has taken JJ from initial bad boy to upstanding — and dare we say heroic — citizen of Salem, was born in Kings County, California. He has been doing some of his strongest work this past year as JJ wrestled with his demons after shooting good friend Theo by accident. Moss is all American — through and through.
Kate Mansi
Mansi, who will soon return as Abby, is a California girl — having been born in Southern California and raised there as well, along with the rest of her large Irish/Italian family. She did train for dance in both Los Angeles and New York — but not in another country.
Matthew Ashford
Ashford will be returning to DAYS shortly as Jack and was born in Davenport, Iowa. But the handsome actor’s father was born in Canada so he holds a US/Canada dual citizenship. In fact, he has relatives in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.
