Days of our Lives Spoilers Photos: Two Salemites Return To Town

Days of our Lives spoilers (DAYS) photos for Friday, November 27, 2020, are here! Some familiar faces are back in Salem this week. Rafe (Galen Gering) returns to town and discovers much has changed. A reconciliation with Hope (Kristian Alfonso) is no longer possible since she left town before Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal) memorial. How will Rafe heal and move forward in this new reality?

In another shocking twist, Gabi (Camila Banus) also returns to town, determined to reunite with Jake (Brandon Barash). The only problem now is that Jake has moved on with Kate (Lauren Koslow) and wanted to take their relationship out of the shadows and into the light. How will Gabi’s return affect this new relationship? And which woman will Jake choose?

In her latest ploy, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) fuels Chad’s (Billy Flynn) paranoia about Jake and Abigail (Marci Miller). Chad saw Abigail sleeping on Jake’s lap, and knows Jake has been sneaking around with someone in the house. In reality, Jake and Kate have been sneaking around, but Chad isn’t privy to that information. Leaving him to believe Jake is getting cozy with his wife.

Just in time for the holidays, Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Abigail reconcile. Will their reconciliation help Jennifer (Cady McClain) and Jack mend their broken hearts?

Days of our Lives’ Paul Telfer Sinking into New Audio Film Event

Salem’s Xander is no stranger to adversity on Days of our Lives, and that problematic past may help his portrayer in a new role.

New Role For Paul Telfer

The actor announced on Twitter that he was cast alongside such notable actors as John Malkovich (The New Pope), Brian Cox (Succession), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (The Queen’s Gambit) and Harry Hamlin (L.A. Law) in Unsinkable, described as “an audio movie event.”

“Very, very excited to be joining THIS CAST!” Telfer wrote, linking a story that Deadline wrote about the casting announcement.

The audio event will pay tribute to the 80th anniversary of one of World War II’s most extraordinary maritime events when the cargo ship San Demetrio was severely damaged in battle before being abandoned by its crewmembers. Remarkably, the ship was later recovered.

Screenwriter John Mawson is adapting his screenplay about the San Demetrio into this audio movie, which is being produced by Datura Studios and North Atlantic Ridge in association with B7 Media and AudioMarvels. The story follows the epic journey of the ship that would not die.

The new commitment shouldn’t impact Telfer’s DAYS schedule, so expect Xander and Sarah  (Linsey Godfrey) to continue on their mission of learning the truth about Philip’s (Jay Kenneth Johnson) mystery partner-in-crime.

With COVID-19 still causing numerous filming and production problems, the audio movie is the perfect way to get the talented cast working to commemorate this event without having to put people in danger.

Malkovich told Deadline that the script will show what those on the ship went through, describing it as the “most unimaginably horrific circumstances and they just keep going.” The actor also expressed his love for the experience of doing audio movies.

Unsinkable will embrace the production style and values of a blockbuster cinematic feature film, creating an immersive blockbuster audio experience through sound.

Soap Opera Icon Marcy Walker Celebrates Her Birthday

It’s been quite some time since Marcy Walker graced the daytime canvas with her presence, but fans around the world still thrill at the mention of her name – a fact worthy of celebration. Equally exciting, is the major milestone which the former actress stands poised to fete.

Happy Birthday, Marcy Walker

And that’s because she was born on November 26, 1961, in Paducah, Kentucky, which means that this much-beloved performer is turning 59 years old today! After making her acting debut in a 1980 episode of Great Performances, Walker joined the cast of ABC’s Ally My Children.

Between 1981 and 1984, she played Liza Colby, the teenage mean girl who sullied a rival reputation, leveed false rape allegations against a classmate, and lost her boyfriend to her avaricious mother.

After exiting the role in hopes of pursuing other opportunities, Walker found herself taking on the part of Eden Capwell, a romantic heroine who was to soon consume most of the focus on NBC’s Santa Barbara.

On her own, Walker was fire. But once she was paired opposite A Martinez, who portrayed Cruz Castillo, Walker positively sizzled. For her work on the serial, Walker received three Daytime Emmy Award nominations, and she managed to nab the 1989 statuette for Outstanding Lead Actress for a storyline that saw Eden raped in a very gruesome sexual assault story.

During her tenure with Santa Barbara, Walker continued to accept other acting opportunities. She appeared in a string of made for TV movies throughout the early part of the 1990s, including The Return of Desperado (1988), Perry Mason: The Case of the Desperate Deception (1990), Bar Girls (1990), and Babies (1990).

In 1991, Walker left Santa Barbara in order to take on a lead role in the TV series Palace Guard (1991-1992). She returned to daytime television in 1993 via Guiding Light. However, her character, Tangie Hill, never truly caught on with viewers.

Two years later, Walker made a triumphant return to All My Children where she once again assumed the mantle of Liza Colby. During her second run on the series, she was paired opposite David Canary’s rascally Adam Chandler. Walker remained in the part until officially retiring from acting in 2005.

Walker has been married to Doug Smith since 1999. She shares a son, Taylor, with her third husband, cameraman Stephen Collins, who was born in February 1989. Soap Hub would like to wish Marcy Walker a very happy birthday and many more.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Gabi And Rafe Return

Days of our Lives spoilers for Friday, November 27, 2020, reveal Gwen playing games, Jack forgiving Abigail, and the Hernandez siblings coming home. Grab your popcorn and settle in because this is one episode you will not want to miss!

Days of our Lives Spoilers Highlights

Rafe (Galen Gering) is back and he may regret ever going away. A lot changed during his time in Mexico and he suffers from several big-time shocks, mainly, Hope leaving town.

It is a big hit for the former commissioner. He left during a terrible time in everyone’s lives and came back to a feeling of chaos and loss. Oh, but it is good to be home, we guess.

She’s Ba-ack!

Gabi (Camila Banus) takes Salem by storm with her reentry into town. She is home and ready to claim her man. Unfortunately, what she finds is things a wee bit upside down. Another woman has taken over her room and her mentor is bedding her boyfriend.

This is all quite a mess but if anyone can handle it, it is Gabi. She is a powerful force and ready to rumble. Everyone watch out because if Gabi doesn’t get what (and who) she wants there will be hell to pay!

Green Is A Bad Color For Chad

Will Gabi’s homecoming put a damper on Gwen’s (Emily O’Brien) grand scheme? Eventually, maybe, but not yet. She is on a mission to ruin Abigail’s marriage. Watch as Gwen gets Chad (Billy Flynn) all worked up about how close Abigail and Jake are becoming.

Daddy’s Little Girl

Speaking of Abigail (Marci Miller), she and Jack (Matthew Ashford) find a way to make amends. She accepts his cheating and he lets go of her exposing him in front of everyone. They each made some mistakes but family is family and it is time to make things right.

Will making amends with Abigail help Jack on his road to redemption with Jennifer (Cady McClain)? Mending the marriage is a hard task and Jennifer is not sure if she and Jack will ever be the same.

Kate the Great: What Man Deserves Her on Days of our Lives?

Kate certainly isn’t short of male companionship these Days of our Lives, is she? You go, Kate (Lauren Koslow)! An affair with Jack (Matthew Ashford) last year, now Jake (Brandon Barash)!

Days of our Lives Polling

But those were both meaningless hook-ups. Does Kate deserve a real relationship? And if so, who with? What almost 3,000 viewers told us they’d like to see:

Behind the Bar

We’re not sure if 83% of you really want to see another Kate and Roman (Josh Taylor) go around, or whether you’re just tired of seeing him behind the bar, pushing the soup. Either way, Roman was the bigger winner in the Kate sweepstakes. We just hope that getting together again won’t make either of them the biggest loser.

Boy Toy

Let’s see where this Jake thing leads, 10% of the audience is intrigued. We don’t know much about him, yet he’s an open book. We don’t have enough evidence to know whether he’d be great for Kate, or a terrible idea, but, if we’re anything like Kate, we are always ready to leap before we look.

All Rise for Abe

Mayor Abe (James Reynolds) got a puny 5% of the vote, although this is a pairing that fans have been mulling over ever since Kate got herself the job as his assistant. The fact is, Kate has proven herself an asset for Abe, over and over again. He likes her. He respects her. So why couldn’t he love her, as well? (Oh, let me count the ways, some of you are saying.)

Last Place

Finally, only 2% went with Jack. You’re either all big Jennifer (Cady McClain) fans, or you still can’t figure out how that hook-up happened in the first place. Those two are fine enough on their own, but you just don’t see the chemistry or even the empathy. It doesn’t make sense.

Days of our Lives Character Recap: Rafe Hernandez

Rafe Hernandez – this Days of our Lives do-gooder never seems to be rewarded for his heroic efforts.

Who Is Rafe Hernandez?

Rafael Alejandro is the eldest child of Eduardo and Adriana Hernandez. His siblings are Dario, Arianna, and Gabriella “Gabi” Adriana Josephina, and Paige Larson (the daughter of Eduardo and his second wife, Eve Larson).

Occupation
Originally introduced as an agent working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Rafe eventually joined the Salem Police Department and served as a detective, the temporary commander, and the Chief of Police.

Rafe also had a stint as a private investigator and he worked in that same position at the firm that he co-founded with Carrie Reed. His other endeavors included working for the ISA and managing Victor Kiriakis’s nightclub The Edge.

A (Thoroughly Complicated) Love Story
From the moment he laid eyes on Samantha “Sami” Gene Brady, Rafe was smitten – and completely exacerbated. She was supposed to be lying low in an FBI-sanctioned safe house and yet she was drugging her guard so she could sneak off and relieve her boredom.

When Rafe was assigned to act as her latest protector, he called her out on her myriad of schemes – and won both her ire and begrudging respect. A friendship developed, and Rafe agreed to help Sami cover up the fact that she was pregnant with EJ DiMera’s child.

The two continued to grow closer, and both were devastated when it appeared that Sami’s recently-delivered baby passed away. Luckily, Rafe was on hand to unravel a labyrinthine scheme that included a baby switch (courtesy of Nicole Walker) and multiple kidnappings.

Once mother and child were reunited, Rafe proposed marriage. And even though the two wed, their life together was troubled by continued interference from EJ, whom Sami alternately loved and loathed.  In the end, the Hernandez marriage failed.

Lovers and Other “Friends”

Emily Hudson: Rafe and Emily were engaged to be married but she died on their wedding day after being involved in a car accident with Arianna.

Nicole Walker: Though their relationship was initially antagonistic, Rafe and Nicole eventually bonded – especially once she revealed that she was secretly carrying EJ’s child. Rafe offered to pose as the father but the scheme was eventually outed.

Carrie Brady: When Carrie finagled Rafe a position at her law firm, the two began to burn the midnight oil together. The excitement over solving a particularly frustrating case led to a kiss and the two eventually decided they wanted to pursue a relationship. However, Carrie’s discovery that she was pregnant with Austin’s baby halted their progress.

Kate Roberts: It began as a drunken one night stand, but blossomed into something more. But the deck was stacked against them and they eventually called it quits.

Jordan Ridgeway: She helped him learn how to walk again and in the process, she healed his broken heart. But Kate’s continued interference coupled with the return of her much-loathed father and an attraction to Chad DiMera resulted in Jordan leaving town. Her subsequent return resulted in Rafe becoming the guardian of Jordan and Christian’s son, David.

Hope Brady: Rafe began to develop feelings for fellow SPD officer Hope Brady but he stepped aside when she, in turn, fell in love with and married Aiden Jennings – though it turned out she wed his murder-minded doppelganger!

Further impediments arose when a terminally ill Bo Brady returned to town and Hope shot (and seemingly) killed Stefano, the man she blamed for Bo’s death. Rafe helped her cover up the crime and frame career villain Andre DiMera for the deed.

Hope was eventually cleared of her misdeeds (thanks to a plan engineered by Steve Johnson and Shane Donovan) and she and Rafe eventually married. However, a happily ever after just wasn’t in the cards.

Enemies Among Us

EJ DiMera: This dastardly fiend used every dirty trick in the book to try and break up Rafe and Sami. He even worked with his father to kidnap and replace Rafe with a plastic surgery-altered criminal named Arnold Finegan!

Stefano DiMera: Stefano went along with EJ’s plan to switch out the real Detective Hernandez for the duplicate – and he even injected the man with a memory-erasing drug.

Years later, when Stefano learned of Rafe’s affair with Kate, he ordered a henchman – Detective Joe Bernardi – to remove the man’s genitalia with a straight razor!

Meredith Hudson: Rafe’s would-be sister-in-law arrived in town looking to exact revenge for the death of her sister. She held him captive inside her childhood home and eventually knocked him unconscious with a brick and dumped him into the Salem River!

Facts About Rafe Hernandez

According to Rafe himself, he was a problem child, and as a result, he spent much of his youth at the Convent of the Holy Cross Orphanage.

Rafe was the detective tasked with arresting John Black (his step-father-in-law) on charges of embezzlement.

Days of Our Lives’ Stephen Nichols Thanks Fans for Helping Midnight Mission

On the heels of the virtual Day of DAYS fan event, two Days of Our Lives cast members, Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans, held a virtual Q&A session with their fans earlier this week to raise money for a worthy cause.

Stephen Nichols: Thanks For Giving

“I want to thank everyone who participated in our Zoom call,” Nichols, who plays Steve/Patch, posted in an Instagram video. “We raised about 3000 dollars for the Midnight Mission.”

The Midnight Mission is the longest-running human service organization in Los Angeles. It’s centered in the Skid Row section of downtown L.A. The charity, according to its website, runs “one of the most efficient direct service operations in the country.”

And, now, thanks to Nichols and Evans’ loyal fan base, the organization is able to help even more people. “Normally, many people including myself and Mary Beth and others from Days of Our Lives would be down there, serving meals to the homeless on Thanksgiving,” Nicholas adds. “Now, they’re handing out box meals to anyone who needs one.

“So, your donations will go to providing meals for people who don’t have any way to get a meal.” It’s not just during Thanksgiving that the Midnight Mission could use your help. You can click here to donate. “They’re a great organization,” Nichols says. “Check them out. They do so much good work. Thank you so much.”

“@stephen_e_nichols “Let’s keep giving and doing these awesome chats!” enthuses Steve and Kayla loyalist @kaylascheaffer. ” Helping to feed the homeless and finding affordable ways to give is awesome! TY and MB and Mandy [Deneaux, the event organizer] for THE BEST virtual event I’ve ever been to next to the DofD event last weekend! Much love! Let’s get thru these times together!”

“I’ve supported MM for years,” posted Josh Griffith, former DAYS head writer, current head writer, The Young and the Restless. “A blessed organization. Thanks for sharing this.”

“Thank you Stephen for all the countless years you have worked to help those people who are homeless and food-deprived,” posted @sherry_mccutcheon. “We should all work as hard as you to help people. 🥰.”

“Very glad to help The Midnight Mission,” adds @hilaryelizabeth9. “It was a really fun zoom! Happy Thanksgiving, Stephen and Lisa. ❤️.”

Days of our Lives Spoilers: John Is In Huge Legal Trouble

Days of our Lives spoilers for Monday, November 30, 2020, reveal Gabi and Rafe dealing with some harsh realities, Charlie soldiering on, and John facing the consequences of his actions.

Days of our Lives Spoilers Highlights

It is a day of bad news for John (Drake Hogestyn). His temper has him in more legal hot water than he bargained for. Sure, he stopped Jan (Heather Lindell) in her tracks (and maybe even forever), but no good (bad?) deed goes unpunished.

John Needs A Lawyer

Belle sure has her work cut out for her now. If she takes the case, that is. Wouldn’t it be a wild conflict of interest to represent her dad after he attacked her attacker? Probably, but anything is possible in Salem.

An Unsavory Sight

Gabi (Camila Banus) is in for an eyeful when she finds her man in bed with Kate (Lauren Koslow). Oh no! Nope! This is not happening! How dare her beau hook up with her mentor. And, how dare Kate?!

Expect Gabi to go off the rails, of course. Okay, yes, she was away for months but she thought her Jake would stay true. Maybe not true but at least not sleep with one of her only frenemies.

Losing Hope

Rafe (Galen Gering) suffers a heartbreak too. He stops by the pub in the hopes of catching up with well, Hope. Sadly, he is met with disappointment. Roman (Josh Taylor) breaks the news that Hope ran off with no intention of ever coming back.

This is a big change for Rafe. He knew he could come back to some changes in town, but this is a lot to take in. Hope was a rock to many and a staple in town. Life will not quite be the same without her.

Young Love Rises

Spoilers show Charlie (Mike Manning) is not letting little things like a psycho wedding crasher, a strangling, and possible murder stop him from getting the girl. He and Claire (Isabel Durant) grow closer in the coming days.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Danger, Jealousy, And Surprises

Days of our Lives spoilers for November 30-December 4, 2020, reveal Tripp staring down the barrel of a gun, Charlie letting jealousy get the better of him, and so much more.

Days of our Lives Spoilers Highlights

Tripp’s (Lucas Adams) problems continue to compound. His presence in the Johnson apartment has a negative impact on his father’s relationship with Kayla (Mary Beth Evans).

Plus, his ongoing battle with Allie (Lindsay Arnold) reaches a crescendo when she, distraught over the news that Tripp will face no further legal action, corners him with a gun and threatens to hurt him. Luckily for Tripp, it’s Mama Vitali (Tamara Braun) to the rescue!

The Green-Eyed Monster

Having already seen off one love rival, Charlie (Mike Manning) is less than pleased to catch Claire (Isobel Durant) embracing Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). Though assured by his new girlfriend that Ben is merely a good friend, Charlie remains on guard.

Claire, in the meantime, spends an afternoon with Ben back at the Salem Inn sorting through Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal) belongings. When Ben insists that she take a memento of her beloved aunt, Claire chooses a bracelet… then breaks down in Ben’s arms.

Nick & Nora Charles 2.0

Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) continue their endeavor to uncover the identity of Philip’s (Jay Kenneth Johnson) mystery partner. Xander grills Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) on the subject, and Sarah does her utmost to gain Philip’s trust and convince him to open up about his time away from home. When neither party gets anywhere, Sarah suggests a bold move: she and Xander will stage a breakup!

DAYS Odds and Ends

In other Salem news, Gabi (Camila Banus) is shocked to find Jake (Brandon Barash) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) in bed together, and Roman (Josh Taylor) continues his update to Rafe (Galen Gering) about Hope (Kristian Alfonso).

Meanwhile, Belle (Martha Madison) and John (Drake Hogestyn) discuss his legal situation, Jennifer (Cady McClain) and Bonnie (Judi Evans) make Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Justin (Wally Kurth) jealous, and Eli (Lamon Archey) crashes Lani’s (Sal Stowers) prenatal appointment.

Finally, Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) returns to Salem – and reconnects with Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Philip.

Due Date: Should Lani Forgive Eli On Days of our Lives?

On Days of our Lives, Lani is putting Kristen ahead of Eli, ahead of their unborn children, and ahead of the minor detail that Lani committed a crime as a cop. She could have been, at best, fired from her police job, at worst, put into prison, to be furious with Eli for arresting Kristen for a crime she admitted to committing.

Days of our Lives Polling

There is so much unpack here, we’re just going to start with the easiest: Should Lani (Sal Stowers) forgive Eli (Lamon Archey) for putting her future and their family ahead of a woman with a rap sheet longer than the never-ending story? What over 2,000 viewers had to say:

Get Over It, Lani

Oh, for Pete’s sake, what’s wrong with you, Lani, a landslide 95% of the audience is so not here for this. First: Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) did it, OK? This is not some trumped-up charge. She. Did. It.

You, on the other hand, did not do your job. Eli covered for you. Most women would see that as a good thing. You’re pregnant, and he didn’t want his kids born in jail. And taken away from their mother. Again, another good thing. You are, frankly, acting ridiculous.

Forgive your husband and move on with your life. Take the word of those of us who’ve known Kristen much longer than you have – she isn’t worth it. And she will stab you in the back at her first opportunity. Won’t you feel stupid, then? At least you’ll still have Eli.

Trust Fail

Eli betrayed Lani’s trust. She can never forgive him, 5% assert. This is totally nothing like when she dumped him at the altar and didn’t tell him why. Lani can do whatever she wants if she thinks it’s for Eli’s own good. Eli… can’t. That’s just the way it is.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers Preview: New-Old Loves For These Ladies?

Days of our Lives spoilers for November 30-December 4, 2020, reveal a week of shock, surprise, and danger in Salem.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers Video Teaser

It’s another week of comebacks in Salem. First, Jake (Brandon Barash) has to deal with Gabi (Camila Banus) walking in on him and Kate (Lauren Koslow) in bed. She is not happy and that’s an understatement, but now she has to explain where she’s been and why she left town so suddenly.

Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) is back in Salem and it’s like a last blast flashback for her as she runs into both Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) first. And it looks like Philip could be the man catching her eye all these years later.

Finally, Charlie (Mike Manning) shows his jealous side again as he realizes how close Claire (Isabel Durant) and Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) are. Does he even remotely realize what he’s getting himself into?

Days of Our Lives Recaps: Thankfulness And Forgiveness

The Days of Our Lives recap for November 23-27, 2020, features Jan getting the wedding of Belle’s dreams, John lashing out in anger, Thanksgiving delights, and more.

Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights

Jan’s (Heather Lindell) appearance at Belle (Martha Madison) and Shawn’s (Brandon Beemer) wedding, in the bridal gown and donning the veil, raised quite a few questions. Namely, where was the actual bride, and how was she doing?

In hopes of ascertaining some answers, Shawn agreed to plow ahead with the ceremony while Brady (Eric Martsolf) went in search of his little sister.

John Went Ballistic

When he failed in his endeavor, and a peeved Jan insisted that she had killed Belle prior to her arrival, John (Drake Hogestyn) went ballistic and tried some throttle some sense into the madwoman. And what did he get for his trouble? A pair of handcuffs and a charge of attempted murder!

Luckily, Belle was alive and well…not so lucky for Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson), she had been spirited from her hotel room and into his bed. Shawn was sure that his love rival and Jan had worked together, but Belle vouched for her ex…which didn’t sit too well with Detective Brady. Still, he was just happy to have his future bride back safe and sound.

DAYS Musings

Anybody else a tad disappointed that the actual consumption of Thanksgiving meals was cut from the show? And are you especially disappointed that we weren’t even privy to the goings-on at Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) abode? Her, Kate (Lauren Koslow), Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), and Philip in one room, playing nice…yes, please!

Gabi (Camila Banus) and Rafe (Galen Gering) are back in town but boy have things changed. Hope (Kristian Alfonso) has left, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) is presumed dead, and Jake (Brandon Barash) has moved on with Kate. Who’s gonna be the most pissed? We’re betting on Hurricane Gabi.

Rafe: ” Well, once I got everyone secured at a safe house down in Mexico, I went after the men who were threatening us…and, uh, well, the ones that are left are locked behind bars for a very long time.” Hmmm…did anyone get the distinct impression that Rafe went and killed a whole lot of bad guys?

Julie: “I understand that Lani came to you and begged you to fire Melinda Trask…If you had just done as your daughter asked, none of this would’ve happened. Am I right, or am I right?” Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is undoubtedly right. But was she right to bring this fact to Abe’s (James Reynolds) attention? And do YOU believe that Abe should have honored Lani’s (Sal Stowers) wishes and fired Melinda?

Jennifer: “Julie..would you tolerate Doug lying to you for any reason?” Let’s be honest, Doug has told some whoppers. Like the lie of omission concerning his marriage to Kim, the Polynesian princess. Heck, their whole relationship is predicated on the fact that he was hired to seduce the very married Julie away from her husband at the behest of Susan Martin (Denise Alexander).

Marlena: “Jan, do you…” Jan: “Actually, the name’s Janet. Jan’s a nickname.” Did anybody out there remember that little nugget of info? Speaking of little-remembered facts, can anyone recall the term that Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) spent as Mayor of Salem as mentioned by Julie?

So Abigail (Marci Miller) is once again absolved of her sins, huh? Boy, wouldn’t it be nice to be her? She’s never been held responsible for any action that she has ever committed in her entire life.

Her attempts to break up not only Carrie (Christie Clarke) and Austin’s (marriage but Sami (Alison Sweeney) and EJ’s as well? Chalk it up to the folly of youth. Andre’s (Thaao Penghlis) murder and Gabi’s imprisonment for the crime? Blame it on Abby’s alternate personality. Ditto Gabi’s near-fatal beating and her resulting inability to have children.

Wouldn’t we all like to be so lucky as to live the life of Abby Deveraux?

Having Your Kake: How Fans Feel About Kate and Jake on Days of our Lives

Kate is having a very busy week on Days of our Lives! First, Abigail spilled to Jennifer that Jack slept with Kate while Jennifer was in a coma. Then Kate (Lauren Koslow) slept with Jake (Brandon Barash). You go, Kate! It’s Cougertown! None of those sexless after-50 clichés, here! She’s a hot great-grandma, for Pete’s sake!

Days of our Lives Polling

But now that we’ve given Kate a round of applause, we also have to ask the question: Kate… and Jake? What almost 2,000 viewers had to tell us about that:

Sound Effects

A winning 58% of you didn’t have an answer to our question. You only had a sound: Ew… Maybe there was a disgusted facial expression to go with it. Kate is a sexy, sophisticated, smart woman. Jake fiddles around with car engines and has trouble with multi-syllable words. It is not a dream match.

Plus, there’s the fact that Kate was married to Stefano (Joseph Mascolo). And Andre (Thaao Penghlis). How many members of the same family is she planning to go through? If we may repeat ourselves: Ew.

Weird Vibes

A smaller 22% of the audience is afraid things might get weird. Why might they get weird? Oh, you know, what we just said above. That whole sleeping through a single family thing. Also, Jake has some major issues with Chad (Billy Flynn), whom Kate thinks of as a son. That’s setting up some fun times at the DiMera mansion!

Go For It, Kate

Then again, an almost equal 20% think it’s an awesome idea! Kate deserves to be adored and feted. After years of slick, rich guys, maybe a down to earth fellow with dirt under his fingernails is just what Kate needs. As for what Jake needs, Kate can teach him everything he needs to know to take his place as a true DiMera man.

Days of our Lives’ Brady Was Being Grossly Insensitive

We understand that Brady currently has a lot on his mind on Days of our Lives, what with Kristen going to jail, suddenly becomes a single parent, and keeping Eli’s secret for minutes before spilling all to Lani.

Days of our Lives — Being Brady

But does any of that excuse how tone-deaf Brady (Eric Martsolf) was in his recent conversation with Sarah (Linsey Godfrey)?

Man Pain

According to Brady, Sarah just could not imagine how heartbroken little Rachel was over losing her mommy to an unreasonable jail sentence when Kristen’s only crime was stabbing an old man in the chest! The tot was crying her little eyes out every night. Where to begin, Brady, oh, where to begin?

Second Time Around

Did Brady pause, even for a micro-second, to consider the effect his words might have on the woman who raised Rachel as her own for over a year, who gave her up to Brady and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), who probably cried her own eyes out night after night, not only over Sarah’s loss but imagining how lost and scared “Mickey” might be feeling?

Brady’s words could mean one of two things: He really didn’t care about how upset Rachel may have been upon first being ripped away from everyone and everything she’d ever known and loved. As far as Brady was concerned, his daughter had no life before she was back in his and Kristen’s arms.

Or he was really, deliberately, and cruelly reminding Sarah that Rachel was Kristen’s daughter, and Sarah better not be getting any ideas. When Kristen was running around Salem, asking arch-enemies like Marlena (Deidre Hall) to be there for Rachel while Kristen was in the big house, did she and Brady ever consider asking the same of Sarah, a woman that Rachel – no matter how much her parents would like to ignore it – likely still loves and misses?

The Young and the Restless

A historic wedding brings together Genoa City families as the sudser airs its 12,000th episode. Elsewhere, the heat is on for Billy in both good and bad ways, and Summer finds herself dealing with a new rival.

Young & Restless spoilers for Friday November 27:

If you’re like us, the day after Thanksgiving will likely find you struggling to wear anything but sweatpants thanks to the previous evening’s feast. But the residents of Genoa City will be all dressed up with somewhere to go as The Young and the Restless airs the classic episode in which attend a masquerade ball. The drama-filled episode originally aired on October 2, 1991.

Celebrate Peter Bergman’s 31st anniversary as Jack Abbott by reviewing our proposal for the next chapter in his iconic character’s story. It not only gives him a long-overdue new love interest but throws him into a complicated quandary.

Young & Restless spoilers week of November 30:

Young & Restless spoilers for Monday November 30:

While preparing for Abby and Chance’s big wedding, Jack and Jill can’t help but feel nostalgic. (Wonder if they’ll be recalling how much damage their relationship did back when they were fooling around behind the back of her husband, who happened to be his father!)

It wouldn’t be a wedding without a special guest. Today, Nina — aka the mother of the groom — arrives, played by much-loved vet Tricia Cast.

What’s behind Abby’s change of heart? Could she be experiencing cold feet… on her wedding day?

Young & Restless spoilers for Tuesday December 1:

The first families of Genoa City come together to celebrate the wedding of Phillip “Chance” Chancellor and Abby Newman. This also happens to be the day on which the soap will be airing its 12,000th episode.

Young & Restless spoilers for Wednesday December 2:

Things are looking bad for Billy as evidence mounts that he might have been the one who picked up a gun and aimed it at Adam. (Aimed it badly, we should add, given that they wound up hitting Chance!) Today, Victor becomes the latest to question Billy’s innocence.

As the wedding festivities continue, Nina presents Chance and Abby with a very special surprise.

Having been reminded in recent days of the highs and lows experienced by the Abbott family over the years, Jack takes a moment to make a promise regarding the future.

As Courtney Hope (Sally) reflects upon the “roller coaster” year that took her from Bold & Beautiful to Young & Restless, she reveals what she’s taking a “much-need break” from.

Young & Restless spoilers for Thursday December 3:

Lily and Billy have been dancing around one another for weeks, but it looks as if they might be ready to mix business with pleasure today as things between them definitely take a turn toward the steamy!

Summer may have thought that her connections make her borderline untouchable on the work front, and yet Sally is ready to push all the blonde’s buttons.

Abby and Chance’s honeymoon takes a decidedly unexpected turn.

Young & Restless spoilers for Friday December 4:

Victor and Adam have crossed swords repeatedly over the years. But proving that family ties aren’t easily severed, Victor can’t help worrying about Adam’s future.

What better way to end a week celebrating the legacy of The Young and the Restless than by having longtime pals Nina and Christine reunite? (Here’s hoping this means we’ll get clips from old episodes highlighting some of their many adventures!)

Curtis is on the case, and a new lead has him exiting Port Charles.

Given that Valentin and Martin are the type of men who will always put their own interests first, it’s not surprising that they don’t see eye to eye. But when their opinions clash, who’ll emerge victorious?

Days of Our Lives

An affair is uncovered, an unlikely duo teams up to cause a stir, lies are told, a woman reveals herself and more…

Days of Our Lives spoilers week of November 30:

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Monday November 30:

Gabi thought she’d strut back into Salem and, in no time flat, have Jake eating out of her hand. Unfortunately, she found out that he hadn’t exactly been going hungry in her absence. Now that she knows about his secret fling with Jake, how will she react and, just as importantly, will she decide to take their private affair public?

Rafe came home to find that an awful lot has changed, including the fact that Hope has left Salem. Needing more details, he turns to Roman for the latest.

John’s in a bit of hot water thanks to that whole tried-to-strangle-Jan thing. Will Belle be able to help get him out of trouble?

Charlie and Claire continue to bond. (Apparently, watching everything that went down at the wedding didn’t manage to drive him away!)

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Tuesday December 1:

Charlie and Claire are getting closer every day, so it makes sense that he’s not particularly thrilled by her close friendship with Ben. Whether because the guy’s a former serial killer or a grieving hunk of burnin’ burnin’ love, we’re not sure, but Charlie’s definitely not happy about their closeness.

Remember the old ad in which someone says, “If you want to capture someone’s attention… whisper”? Well, Bonnie and Jennifer ignore that advice, instead deciding that they need to make Jack and Justin jealous.

Xander pays Kristen a visit in the hopes that she’ll tell him more about Ms. Van De Camp, aka the “mystery woman” who recently swung by the prison for a visit. But will Kristen reveal that the woman in question was actually Ava? Meanwhile, Sarah takes a different tack with a similar goal as she tries getting Philip to open up about his time away from Salem.

As the war between Philip and Xander heats up, Charlie finds himself caught between his battling bosses. (Here’s hoping no smoothies are thrown this time around.)

The last thing Allie needs is upsetting news, but that’s exactly what she’ll receive today. Meanwhile, the Allie/Tripp situation leads to Steve and Kayla having yet another argument. Will their relationship be able to survive this mess?

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Thursday December 3:

When Allie gets desperate, she decides to take a page out of mom Sami’s playbook. (Apparently, she failed to read the part of that book which reveals that Sami’s plots almost inevitably blew up in her face.)

When Steve and Lucas cross paths, things will get pretty tense. Will Tripp and Allie’s dads actually come to blows?

Eli and Lani may have hit a rough patch, and she may have booted him from their apartment, but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to be there for a significant moment.

Philip’s been reflecting quite a bit recently about the romantic mistakes he’s made over the years, and in particular how he pushed away other women because they couldn’t measure up to Belle. But today, Chloe returns to Salem and we can’t help hoping that perhaps these two crazy kids will find their way back to one another.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday December 4:

Ava’s been laying low ever since sneaking back into Salem. But today, she’ll finally reunite with son Tripp. What pushes her to step out of the shadows? And will her son be happy to discover that rumors of his mom’s death were greatly exaggerated?

How will Steve reacts when Kayla insists that he ask Tripp to move out?

In need of catching up on what’s gone down since last she was in Salem, Chloe spends some time with Brady. (Here’s hoping Kristen doesn’t find out, ’cause we suspect she wouldn’t be thrilled.)

Sarah’s going to have to think fast after Philip finds her poking around where she shouldn’t be.

Days of Our Lives spoilers week of December 7:

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Monday December 7:

Nicole is positively stunned when she hears the news Allie has to share.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Tuesday December 8:

Gwen has what can only be described as a major hissy fit today. And while we’re not sure what causes it, we can’t wait to see the bothered Brit melt down.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Wednesday December 9:

Just when Kayla thought her life couldn’t get more complicated, she finds Ava casually hanging out and making herself right at home!

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Thursday December 10:

What with Ava being alive and well and getting under Kayla’s skin, it’s not surprising that Steve and his Sweetness pay their jailed son, Joey, a visit. After all, if Ava’s alive, then he probably shouldn’t be behind bars for killing her.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday December 11:

When Allie needs advice as to what her next move should be, she turns to Kate.

How will Xander react when Charlie comes to him with a confession?
