Days of our Lives Star Stacy Haiduk Celebrates Her Birthday

Just when it seemed that life was going so well for Days of our Lives’ Kristen – what with her managing to get away with switching lives with Susan, she just keeps getting caught by the wrong people! But actress Stacy Haiduk is probably less concerned about her frequently in trouble alter ego and more focused on getting her party on.

Happy Birthday, Stacy Haiduk!

And that’s because she was born on April 24, 1968, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which means that this talented soap hopping performer is turning 53 years old today! Shortly after playing “Laundromat Lady” in the 1987 film Magic Sticks, Haiduk was cast in Superboy, an adaption of the same-titled DC Comics strip.

She achieved national recognition through her portrayal of Lana Lang, but after the series came to a halt in 1992 – after 100 episodes – Haiduk struggled to find her next significant role.

First up was a guest appearance on Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, which was followed by a small role in the Sean Young-starring TV movie Sketch Artist. She was a part of the inaugural cast of Aaron Spelling’s serial The Round Table, but it was axed after a mere 5 episodes.

Next, Stacy Haiduk was hired to play Lieutenant Commander Katherine Hitchcock science fiction series seaQuest – though she did not continue past the first season. Subsequently, she guest-starred in a plethora of primetime programs, including Nash Bridges, Profiler, Charmed, and NCIS.

She also appeared in a number of tv movies (including A Perfect Stranger and The Beneficiary) and had recurring roles on Due South, Kindred: The Embraced, Melrose Place and Brimstone.

Her one-year stint on All My Children – where she played businesswoman Hannah Nichols – served as Haiduk’s introduction to the world of daytime dramas. Afterward, she played characters on both The Young and the Restless (Patty Williams and Emily Peterson) and Days of our Lives (Warden Smith).

Haiduk has played Days of our Lives villainess Kristen DiMera – a character originally embodied by Haiduk’s former YR co-star Eileen Davidson – (on and off) since August 21, 2018.
