Weekly Soap Spoilers/Recaps: February 14-18, 2022 (DOOL: February 21-25, 2022)

The Young and the Restless

Love is in the air, but not necessarily the romantic kind. Though couples like Adam and Sally, and Mariah and Tessa make time to canoodle, Lauren indulges in her love of living dangerously, Victoria revels in her love of corporate combat, and Victor celebrates his love of getting the upper hand on an opponent — in this case, newly minted son-in-law Ashland. Meanwhile, Abby learns that she has another — yes, another — reason to weep, and Nikki becomes the focus of son Nick’s concern.

Friday, February 11:

Ashland makes a confession to Victoria, Billy wows Lily, Victor romances Nikki, and Sally and Adam share a toast.

With Valentine’s Day on the calendar, Victor and Nikki take time for romance. Will the corporate player and family patriarch wine and dine his longtime lady love at the ranch or out on the town?

On the day for lovers, Billy surprises Lily. Does this have anything to do with him stepping outside of his comfort zone previously? We just have to wonder!

It doesn’t sound like a very loved-up day for Ashland, as he is forced to come clean with Victoria. We’ve seen this play out before and have to question whether the confession will amount to another manipulation — and for that matter, if it is the beginning of the end for this power couple. If so, let’s take solace where we can in our memories of “Ashtoria” the way they were in our photo album of their love story.

Week of February 14:

Y&R Restless Rant! Hot topics include: Bad news ahead for Abby and Devon, Valentine’s Day heating up, Chelsea and Rey, and the cure for Billy’s insomnia!

Monday, February 14:

Props to Cupid on his aim! On Valentine’s Day, Adam and his new COO Sally mix business with pleasure. What shade of red will Genoa City’s new power couple paint the town?

When Sharon and Rey play matchmaker, might they be trying to set up Noah with someone who could take his mind off of his past relationship woes — and his unhealthy fixation with Tessa?

As they look forward to getting married and starting a family together, Mariah and Tessa find time for romance. Which is easy enough now, but wait till there are kids around. That’s when it gets tricky!

Tuesday, February 15:

When Amanda receives an intriguing invitation, will it be from billionaire beau Devon… or someone else? And will it be the kind of offer she can’t possibly refuse?

Lily may have been onto something when she questioned whether Billy would take issue with being her second in command at the company he’d hoped to run. As he struggles with his new role, the couple could be headed for a rough patch.

It’s one thing after another for poor, beleaguered Abby, who discovers that Chance is keeping secrets. Buddy, take a look back at your history. Has keeping secrets ever worked out for you? Just no.

Wednesday, February 16:

Perhaps this was part of his master plan when he sold Newman Media to Victoria? Victor recruits Adam to gather intel about Ashland. Kinda makes ya wish Paul Williams still had his private-detective agency, doesn’t it?

What could possibly be going on when Nick worries about Nikki — the person who is perpetually looking after everyone else and trying to keep the peace?

We feel sorry for the poor soul who is up to bat when Victoria decides to play hardball. The big-business bigwig is more prone to striking her target than striking out!

Thursday, February 17:

When Jack receives a puzzling message, might it be from Phyllis, who seems extra confused about where she — and they — stand these days?

Since Lauren is making a risky decision, we suspect that it might have to do with going back into business with Chelsea, the notorious con who ripped her off before fleeing Genoa City the last time they worked together. Do the words “once bitten, twice shy” mean nothing to the redhead?

Phyllis arrives home to a mystery, which is intriguing, given that Jack is also tangling with a riddle of some sort. Could the two instances be connected? We’d bet on it.

Friday, February 18:

When Michael shares damaging information with Victor, it sure sounds like the bombshell on Ashland that we predicted. But what exactly is the dirt he brings back on Locke, and how far-reaching the fallout will be remains to be seen!

Will marriage, kids or a break-up be on the agenda when Nate and Elena discuss their future?

Sounds like these kids are making it official! When Adam and Sally define their relationship, what kind of a reaction will it get from his family, the staff at Newman-Locke and, of course, Chelsea?!

One list you’ll never find Adam and Sally on is our roundup of forced couples — pairs that never quite worked but whose shows worked overtime to convince us to like.

The Bold and the Beautiful

It’s a free-for-all as Ridge and Deacon come to blows, and Steffy and Taylor square off with their respective nemeses, Hope and Brooke. Meanwhile, Sheila celebrates a triumph, and Thomas works to throw a monkey wrench into someone’s plans. Find out who he’ll so deftly thwart...

Friday, February 11:

Ridge knocks Deacon down with a sucker punch, Deacon comes clean with Sheila, and Taylor confronts Brooke.

Why she doesn’t just say, “Honey, we’ve both done worse — sometimes together!” we’ll never know. Nonetheless, we have a feeling Brooke won’t be using that argument as she desperately attempts to do damage control with Ridge. And if you couldn’t tell where this storyline was headed...

Meanwhile, Deacon reluctantly spills the secret of his shared kiss with Brooke to Sheila. Which is odd. She never struck us a the-last-to-know kinda gal. Anyway, if this is the death knell being sounded for Ridge and Brooke’s relationship (again), let’s not be sad. (What, you weren’t going to be sad?)

Week of February 14:

Monday, February 14:

Separately, Taylor confronts Brooke, and Steffy confronts Hope about Brooke’s betrayal of Ridge. Will old wounds be reopened that can never be healed when these two generations of formidable foes lock horns anew? By the time they’re through...

Get the popcorn! Deacon fuels Ridge’s rage as the two engage in a fight of epic proportions. Will the ex-con go all Cobra Kai on the dressmaker?! And if so, what will be left of the dressmaker when his opponent is done with him?

Tuesday, February 15:

As Sheila gloats about Brooke’s infidelity and gives Taylor her full support, we have to wonder if the wicked witch will take so much pleasure in the blonde’s downfall that she’ll tip off the astute therapist to her involvement in the catastrophe.

As Brooke strives to defuse the situation, Ridge reaches his breaking point with his wife. Will he call it quits with his destiny after assuring her just last week that they could get through absolutely anything together?

Wednesday, February 16:

Four-tissue alert! Hope and Liam attempt to comfort a distraught Brooke, who is one of the most prolific criers we know. Will her staunchest supporters be able to convince her to turn off the waterworks and fight for her man?

Something tells us Steffy might find Ridge more receptive than he was before Brooke’s most recent betrayal when she passionately pleads with her dad to end things with his scandal-plagued wife once and for all.

Thursday, February 17:

Deacon recalls how Brooke defended him in his brawl with Ridge to an ecstatic Sheila. We can just picture the glee on her face as she relishes the tale — after all, the she-devil vowed to destroy the life of the blonde who had the audacity to come between her and her goals, and did a bang-up job of setting the chaos in motion.

Undoubtedly upset with his stepmother’s betrayal of his father, Thomas thwarts Brooke’s efforts to contact Ridge. We have to say, compared to some of the shocking things that have gone down between these two in the past, a little thwarting doesn’t seem like such a big deal.

Friday, February 18:

Ridge is grateful to Taylor for her unwavering love and support. The question is, how will he show his gratitude? Perhaps with a hug? A kiss? Could this be the beginning of that new chapter Steffy has so fervently hoped would come to pass for her parents?

Not if Brooke has anything to say about it! Ridge’s estranged wife faces off with Thomas for keeping her from his father without his knowledge. Will she be able to get past the gatekeeper and make an impassioned plea to save her marriage?

If Brooke needs any help making her case, she can revisit the trials and tribulations she and Ridge have overcome in the past. Other men, other women, boinkberries, Stephanie and more!

When Maxie is faced with an impossible choice, which way will she go? And will this have something to do with why Brook Lynn feels so guilty?

They say the truth will set you free, but will that prove true for Elizabeth and Finn when they get all the facts?

Laura feels a sense of relief.

Anna will likely put all of her skills to use when she goes looking for answers.

As the most romantic day of the year draws nigh, Curtis and TJ discuss their big Valentine’s Day plans.

Terry’s getting ready for her big date… but what Elizabeth discovers could put a damper on things!

Phyllis has Charlie’s all decked out for the holiday… but it’s definitely not what one might expect, which has Sonny checking in with his bar’s manager.

Week of February 14:

GH Soapbox: The soap really delivered with the Peter/Maxie and Carly/Sonny/Nina drama this week. Plus, Laura’s badassery, Ava’s expressions, and Robert’s reaction were must-see.

Monday, February 14:

At last, it’s time for Terry to go on her big date… but things definitely do not go as she expected.

How will Molly react to the very big, very romantic gesture TJ is about to make?

How will Ava and Nikolas celebrate Valentine’s Day?

After getting the 4-1-1 from Carly, Felix makes a big decision.

When Spencer gets a surprise, will it be the kind one welcomes… or the kind one wishes had never happened?

Tuesday, February 15:

Hey, Carly is a woman with options… especially now that Sonny has slept with Nina. But what will happen when she begins to explore them?

Nina’s got a question she hopes Britt will be able to answer.

Patience may be a virtue, but it’s also something that Michael and Willow are just about out of!

Is Austin punching above his league when he threatens Victor?

Brook Lynn and Chase haven’t always been on the same page, but this time, they know exactly what they have to do.

Wednesday, February 16:

How far will things go when Brook Lynn and Chase turn to one another as they grapple with a painful moment?

Nina crosses with someone unexpectedly at the hospital.

Portia and Curtis’ Valentine’s Day plans got derailed, but they’re about to make up for lost time.

Given everything going on, it’s probably not surprising that Joss is worried about her mom.

Something tells us things could be awkward when Sonny and Michael run into one another.

Thursday, February 17:

Does Finn have good reason to be concerned about Liz?

Brando tracks down Sasha at the Metro Court.

As Sam and Drew are sharing a moment at the pier, Austin and Obrecht are cooking up their own little plan. But to what end?

Laura, Felicia and Anna gather at General Hospital.

Is the nightmare from which Maxie awakens a literal or figurative one?

Friday, February 18:

It may be February in Upstate New York, but things are about to get unexpectedly steamy in Port Charles!

What condition will Laura find Spencer in when she visits him at Spring Ridge?

Victor interrupts Ava and Nikolas.

What drives Sam to seek out Austin and Obrecht, of all people?

Britt happens to overhear something and decides she has no choice but to get involved. Will she regret doing so?

While Liz tries to figure out what the future holds — and if Finn is going to be a part of it

Not all couples are as super- as Brooke and Ridge and Ridge and Taylor. Remember these pairings that the soaps tried to convince us were hot, hot, hot when… alas, they were not, not, not?
