Weekly Soap Spoilers/Recaps: February 7-11, 2022

The Young and the Restless

It’s a big week for drama as Victor manages to corner the legendary Locke Ness Monster, who is then compelled to make a confession to his wife. Chelsea receives a huge wake-up call, Abby and Devon face a crisis, and Chance suffers a setback. (Wait, another one?) Fortunately, it’s also a week for celebrating love, with a Valentine’s Day surprise in the cards for one lucky woman and romance on the agenda for another…

Friday, February 4:

Mariah corners Noah and lets him know how she feels at the engagement party, and Abby grows concerned about Dominic.

They’ve already discussed the possibility of a spring destination wedding, but ahead of the planning, Mariah and Tessa take time to celebrate their engagement.

When Noah puts his best foot forward, we can only assume this means he’ll be on his best behavior at his sister’s engagement party. But will he get through the entire night without making eyes at Tessa or exiting early to drown his sorrows?

When Abby and Chance are challenged as parents, will they turn to Devon in their moment of need? They could do worse. A quick review of his history via our photo gallery will reveal that he’s always been a do-right guy. Well, mostly.

Week of February 7:

Y&R Restless Rant! Hot topics include: Ashland’s future in question, Noah’s problem, Chelsea’s new direction, and an obstacle for Sally & Adam. Plus, Victoria and NuAshland!

Monday, February 7:

When Adam takes matters into his own hands, might it be the first sign that on the heels of Victor’s latest manipulations, we’re seeing the return of bad Adam?

Although Sally has an undisputed talent for being her own worst enemy ...e also think it’s past time for her to get the last laugh. When she finally does, will it be her rival Chelsea who is left wearing a frown?

In the aftermath of Mariah and Tessa’s engagement party, Nick and Sharon struggle to help Noah. Will their efforts to come to the aid of their heartbroken son bring the exes closer themselves? “Shick” always seem to find their way back together!

Remember the shocking moment in which Jack did the unthinkable: He got in the last word on Victor!

Tuesday, February 8:

It’s been a tough few years for Jack, who just hasn’t been his “ol’ smilin’” self. When the eldest of the Abbott sibs finds himself at a crossroads, will this finally be the point at which his fortunes take a turn for the better? We can only hope so!

Now, here’s a dynamic duo if we’ve ever seen one! When Lauren and Amanda go fishing for intel, what — or who — will be the focus of their investigation?

We don’t like to hear that Devon and Abby will receive disturbing news, because it can only mean something is wrong with baby Dominic. Unless it has to do with Chance, who is still struggling despite his best intentions. What crisis will bring the besties together?

The backstage battle a Y&R boss fought and lost — and why he might have been right!

Wednesday, February 9:

Was there ever a doubt? The Mustache has had a suspicious eye on Ashland for quite some time now, and thanks to Victor’s plot to set an inescapable trap for his son-in-law, he manages to back him into a corner. Will the Locke Ness Monster come out fighting?

Whatever happens, today marks the debut of Robert Newman (Josh, Guiding Light) in the role of Ashland.

Women helping women in business — we love to see it! But what will be the helpful tip Nikki gives Lily when she points the new CEO of Chancellor Industries in the right direction?

Uh-oh, let the sibling wars begin, as Victoria puts Adam in his place. How will the younger Newman react to his sister’s chastisement? We’re kinda nervous to find out!

Thursday, February 10:

It’s intriguing to learn that Billy will travel outside his comfort zone, but we have to wonder if he’ll be testing new waters in business or at home with Lily.

When Abby’s husband suffers yet another setback, will he finally seek help? If so, might Sharon be able to provide some guidance, or would her involvement merely bring about new complications for Chance and Abby?

It sounds like danger is afoot when Chelsea has an unexpected wake-up call. Will this turning point serve to send the fashionista down a totally different path in her life, perhaps away from the drama involving Adam and Sally? Or will the epiphany be short-lived?

Friday, February 11:

With Valentine’s Day on the calendar, Victor and Nikki take time for romance. Will the corporate player and family patriarch wine and dine his longtime lady love at the ranch or out on the town?

On the day for lovers, Billy surprises Lily. Does this have anything to do with him stepping outside of his comfort zone previously? We just have to wonder!

It doesn’t sound like a very loved-up day for Ashland, as he is forced to come clean with Victoria. We’ve seen this play out before and have to question whether the confession will amount to another manipulation — and for that matter, if it is the beginning of the end for this power couple. If so, let’s take solace where we can in our memories of “Ashtoria” the way they were...

The Bold and the Beautiful

All hell breaks loose as Taylor gets wind of Brooke’s betrayal, Steffy squares off with her stepmother in a fur-flying insult sling-fest, and Deacon goes back on his promise to Hope by telling the very last person he should ever confide in about his kiss with Brooke! (Spoiler alert: It’s Sheila.)

Friday, February 4:

Steffy and Thomas get the proof they need against Brooke then stun Taylor with their findings — plus, Brooke panics and Carter shocks Paris.

Carter and Paris have a heart-to-heart about where their relationship is headed. Will the co-workers decide to go public with their romance despite the growing opposition, or will they elect to call it a day and create a situation where they are instead pining for one another on the sly?

Are we seeing a preview of his future when Ridge takes comfort in Taylor’s company even as Steffy plots to bring Brooke down?

Week of February 7:

Bold & Beautiful hot topics: Grace crossed a line, Steffy’s regressed and all hell’s about to break loose for Brooke!

Monday, February 7:

Remembering Grace’s threat, Carter attempts to break things off with Paris. Rather than, you know, tell Grace, Zende, the Forresters and anyone else who might want to have an opinion on the matter that Paris is a single woman, and he is a single man, and they can date whoever the heck they want to, thank you very much.

Set your clock for all hell breaking loose in three, two… Taylor learns the shocking truth about Brooke’s night with Deacon. And kaboom! Because heaven knows Ridge, who slept with Brooke while she was married to Eric and made out with Quinn while she was married to his father, couldn’t possibly forgive an indiscretion as huge as — gasp! — a kiss between his wife and Deacon.

Tuesday, February 8:

Is the saying “better late than never” or “better too late or never”? For Brooke’s sake, we’re going to hope it’s the latter since she decides to come clean to Ridge just when doing so becomes a major game of Beat the Clock.

Taylor isn’t really a hat person, so no shock here: She isn’t about to keep Brooke and Deacon’s scandalous smooch under the hat that she isn’t wearing. Instead, she determines to let Ridge know about his better half’s ultimate betrayal.

Wednesday, February 9:

When Steffy faces off with her stepmother, Brooke is at first confused. Something tells us that she won’t be by the time Stephanie’s namesake is done raking “the slut from the Valley” over the coals.

Speaking of confused — are these characters speaking in tongues or what? — Taylor’s line of questioning to Ridge so confounds him that he misinterprets it and reveals that Brooke fell off the wagon.

Thursday, February 10:

During a heated argument, Steffy throws Brooke’s past scandals and obstacles in her face.

Despite being the cad who cheated on his first fiancé, then shagged her after she married his brother, and had sex with an ex after receiving a supposed “hall pass” from then-wife Taylor, Ridge is mortified to learn a sordid truth about Brooke kissing Deacon. Honestly, even his mama might have to say this time, “Dude… really?”

Friday, February 11:

Why she doesn’t just say, “Honey, we’ve both done worse — sometimes together!” we’ll never know. Nonetheless, we have a feeling Brooke won’t be using that argument as she desperately attempts to do damage control with Ridge. And if you couldn’t tell where this storyline was headed,...

Meanwhile, Deacon reluctantly spills the secret of his shared kiss with Brooke to Sheila. Which is odd. She never struck us a the-last-to-know kinda gal. Anyway, if this is the death knell being sounded for Ridge and Brooke’s relationship (again), let’s not be sad. (What, you weren’t going to be sad?)...
