Weekly Spoilers: January 2-6, 2023

The Young and the Restless

The year isn’t the only thing that’s new?! Included among the teasers are previews of new conflicts (stock up on aspirin, Victor!), new opportunities (proceed with caution, Phyllis), new intrigue (hate to say we told ya so, Devon!) and new beginnings (for potential moms-to-be “Teriah” as well as not one or two but three couples).

Week of January 2:

Y&R Restless Rant! Hot topics: Sally’s pregnancy stunner, Tucker’s about to get busted, and Young & Restless’ 2022 report card!

Monday, January 2:

What day isn’t this on Victor’s to-do list? Once again, he does damage control with Nick and Adam. Will The Mustache ever file those relationships under “lost causes”?

It’s time. Sharon has been through so much, from losing Cassie to finding Mariah, from losing Dylan to… well, also losing Rey. Now the coffee-slinging therapist is at last ready to face her fears.

Is it time to start decorating the nursery? As Mariah and Tessa await life-changing news, we can only hope that they’ll be getting their own Baby New Year.

Tuesday, January 3:

The nostalgia gets turned up to 11 when Christine reunites with Danny. But the exes won’t just be looking back. Read what Michael Damian has to say about their encounter here.

Ha — we called it. Nate sees a new side to Victoria. Can this Genoa City shake-up be far behind?

Chelsea shares words of wisdom with Billy. But, as is always the question, will he be able to not only hear them but take them in? He has been known to be his own worst enemy.

Wednesday, January 4:

Phyllis receives an intriguing offer. But from whom? Since she already has a new job, could she be getting invited out on a date? And if so, who will be the man to help her put her relationship with Jack in the past?

Understandably, Kyle worries about Diane’s safety, a prospect made all the dicier by what Michael Mealor recently told Soaps.com.

When Devon and Abby settle unfinished business, will they once and for all resolve to forget about their catastrophic tryst… or decide that maybe it didn’t just happen because they were both in a vulnerable state at the same time?

Thursday, January 5:

Everyone needs a hobby, right? And since Diane’s is stirring the pot, she causes friction between Jack and Ashley.

If these two get any closer, they’ll be kissing! Daniel opens up to Lily about his past, in so doing, perhaps paving the way for him and his former wife to map out a new future together?

Devon uncovers a secret about Tucker. Just one? C’mon, Devon, you’re not trying hard enough. Tucker has more secrets than Victor does mustache combs.

Friday, January 6:

An old pro at pulling the wool over people’s eyes, Sally covers her tracks with Nick. Will her efforts be enough to secure her relationship with her ex-lover’s brother?

Sharon bonds with Chance. Since there are no coincidences in Genoa City, we’re going to climb out on a limb and deduce that that means that they’re about to connect in a whole new way.

Wanna bet that when Billy faces an important decision, it will be whether to try to salvage his relationship with Lily or forge a new path with Chelsea?

The Bold and the Beautiful

It ain’t over till it’s over — and where Sheila’s concerned, even when it is over, it still ain’t over! After Katie thanks Bill for doing what everybody believes to have been the right thing, Sheila gets a visitor and makes it clear she’s pretty sure that the game is far from over!

Week of January 2

Monday, January 2:

Steffy’s past comes back to haunt her.

Sheila Carter gets arrested!

Tuesday, January 3:

Katie is thrilled that Bill was the hero who turned Sheila in.

Finn and Steffy worry about being blackmailed.

Wednesday, January 4:

Bill confuses Steffy with his conflicting statements.

Sheila is startled by a visit from Mike Guthrie.

Thursday, January 5:

Sheila taunts Li about soon being back in Hayes and Finn’s lives.

Katie gives Bill pause when she applauds him for doing the right thing.

Friday, January 6:

Facing the most significant decision of his life, Bill asks hard questions.

An unexpected couple shares a kiss.

General Hospital

Heather learns intriguing information, Cyrus offers to help Laura, Liz shares a revelation with Finn, and Obrecht takes matters into her own hands — plus, the holidays are in full swing in Port Charles!

Week of December 26:

Monday, December 26:

Heather offers to help Mac and Robert catch Esme, but wants something in return. And Laura and Curtis are both suspicious when they see Trina and Spencer with their heads together.

Terry shouldn’t be surprised by anything Britt does, and yet somehow, she is. (Could this have something to do with that killer party Britt’s planning to throw for herself?)

A little bit of information in the wrong hands can be a very dangerous thing. And in the hands of Heather Webber? Well, we can’t imagine what kind of chaos it will create!

Proving to be a friend indeed, Dante encourages Cody. But will his pal listen?

Trina and Spencer are of the same mind. But will their determination pay off?

Robert and Mac are ready to hit the negotiating table.

Tuesday December 27:

Carly manages to thwart Drew’s search for Willow’s birth parents again by hiding a key piece of information from him, and Dex has a warning for Sonny about the Pikeman Security Group.

Remember when Brook Lynn and Maxie couldn’t stand one another? They’ve come a long way, thanks to having cooked up a few schemes together. So it’s no surprise that when Brook Lynn needs someone to talk to, Maxie is there.

Michael continues to be 100 percent supportive of Willow and her plans.

Sonny was wary when Valentin approached him with a deal being suggested by rivals. When Sonny brokers a deal, is it with regards to that shady offer?

Carly continues to run interference, completely ignoring us as we sit here with our warnings that she’s likely to regret her actions. (Why, oh why, do the TV people never listen?)

Chase and Sasha find time to catch one another up on recent events.

Wednesday, December 28:

Anna turns to an old friend for help locating Lucy, Ava is stunned when Spencer apologizes to her, and Cyrus offers to help Laura take Victor down.

We don’t necessarily think of Obrecht as the most honest of folks, but we suspect that the promise she makes today is one she intends to keep.

They’re clearly serving up ice cream in Hell, because Spencer does something we never thought we’d see: apologize to Ava. (Then again, we’ve been seeing sparks fly between the two for a long time, and even his portrayer suggested the pair might one day cross the line!)

They say that sometimes, help comes from the place you least expect it to… which will certainly prove to be the case when Cyrus offers a hand to Laura!

Anna and Valentin find themselves getting deeper into an unfolding mystery.

Victor, determined to make it clear who is the true head of the Cassadine family, gives Nikolas a warning.

General Hospital reveals the real reason Marcus Coloma won’t be the actor playing Nikolas’ final scenes.

Thursday, December 29:

Britt’s New Year’s Eve birthday bash gets underway with lots of surprises, Esme acquires what she needs for her latest plan to escape, and Nikolas leaves Laura stunned.

Ever since Liz found out that Esme is being held hostage by Nikolas, the schemer has seen the nurse as a weak link. When Esme starts trying to play Elizabeth, will she find a way to unnerve her?

Michael isn’t one to give up easily!

When Ava at last reveals what she’s really, truly after, to whom will she spill the beans?

Laura isn’t about to sit on her ever-mounting suspicions.

Ready or not, the party of the year kicks off as Britt prepares to celebrate her birthday in high style!

Friday, December 30:

Port Charles rings in the New Year, Britt slips away from her party at midnight, Esme takes a leap of faith, and the killer lunges towards their next target.

New Year’s Eve will definitely be rockin’ in Port Charles as Liz decides to share some information with Finn, Laura gives son Nikolas a nudge, Britt’s party is the scene of one surprise after another, and Esme decides the time is right to take a huge risk!

Week of January 2:

Monday, January 2:

Even the always-busy residents of Port Charles need an occasional day off, and it looks like that’s what they’ll be getting today. No episode will air.

Tuesday January 3:

Carly and Drew make time to celebrate. (Given that their union could lead to major legal problems, here’s hoping they’re smart enough to have a private party as opposed to making a public spectacle of themselves!

Dante and Sam have a pretty strong relationship, but he’s not been entirely honest with her…especially where his past with Cody is concerned. When Dante decides to share a bit more of himself, does that mean he might finally fill her in on that part of his past?

If there’s one person you can probably trust, it’s the woman who helped you keep a pregnant lady locked in a turret. So it makes sense that Nikolas will confide in Elizabeth. In other Cassadine news, Spencer is about to find out something surprising.

Will Port Charles start the year off with a decrease in the local population? That could be the case when the hook strikes again!

Wednesday, January 4:

Trina’s a pretty smart young lady, so when she speaks up about her concerns, it might be smart for those around her to listen.

Cameron had a very special relationship with the late Franco (who, despite dying way back in 2021, still wound up making our 2022 Best & Worst list!). While the artist may be gone, his dad, Scott, still shares a nice bond with Cameron, as proved when they catch up.

We might suggest that it’s not a great idea for Laura, as mayor, to be spending time in the company of former mob queen Ava. Then again, half of the citizens have ties to organized crime, so this might be a voter base worth pursuing.

Elizabeth and Nikolas work together toward a common goal. Could the lie that they told about her supposed pregnancy have the ironic effect of bringing the exes closer again?

Does the fact that Dante’s heading to the hospital in order to question a patient mean that the latest victim of the hook survived the attack?

Thursday, January 5:

Martin hasn’t had much to do of late, but he’ll be kept a bit busier thanks to a new client who requires his services.

Cody hasn’t made many friends since coming to town, so he might be wise to listen to a far more popular resident. But will he take Felicia up on her suggestion?

What has Elizabeth asking Kevin for a bit of help?

Heather’s actions aren’t always easily understood by those who see things through saner eyes, but today she’ll make an effort to explain herself.

News of a tragedy spreads across Port Charles.

Friday, January 6:

Sonny has always had a soft spot in his heart for Spencer, but he’s definitely not feeling the love toward the young man’s dad. What has Sonny putting Nikolas on blast?

Willow gets the kind of call that could prove incredibly important moving forward.

Never one to let others do her dirty work, Obrecht steps up and takes matters into her own hands. Meanwhile, Carly is there when someone needs support.

What is the shocking news received by Spencer?

Will Alex and Stephanie wind up on Santa’s naughty or nice list after spending Christmas together?

It sounds as if Victor’s going to join us in protesting just how much time Sonny has been spending with Leo!

What does Bonnie do that suddenly has Sarah looking at her husband through newly-suspicious eyes?

Tuesday, December 27:

Hot on the heels of Victor making his stance on Leo perfectly clear, here comes Will to blast his hubby along the same lines.

Eli shows up exactly when Paulina needs a bit of a spirit-lifting boost.

Alex and Stephanie have special plans… which wind up being derailed thanks to Chad.

In the least shocking development ever, Gwen and Xander’s attempt to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes begins to unravel like a cheap sweater.

Wednesday, December 28:

Li’s guilt intensifies on his wedding day, Brady sets his trap for Kristen, and Rafe extends an invitation to Jada.

Gabi is all set to walk down the aisle and marry Li. But Rafe can’t help suspecting her heart isn’t truly in it. Meanwhile, Wendy and Johnny find themselves having a tough time keeping their lips zipped, with both really wanting to fill the would-be bride on what they know!

Eric and Brady are ready to put their plan into motion. But can they pull it off?

Nancy wants an update on Chloe’s love life… which could be the kind of conversation that requires cocktails!

Thursday, December 29:

The truth about Li and Stefan’s brainwashing comes out at the wedding, after Gabi says I do.

It looks as if Wendy’s getting ever closer to spilling the beans! Meanwhile, it’s time for Gabi to walk down the aisle and make an honest man out of Li. (Good luck with that one, girl!)

Is it getting hot in here, or are Chloe and Stefan steaming things up during their New Year’s Eve getaway to Miami?

Rafe and Jada cross paths with Nicole, and it’s safe to say that things get… let’s go with “tense.”

Friday, December 30:

Gabi accuses Li of trying to kill Stefan and then jets off to Miami, where Stefan and Chloe ring in the New year in bed. Plus, Kristen discovers Rachel is missing.

EJ has something he needs to get off his chest. How will Nicole react?

They say that who you’re kissing at midnight on New Year’s Eve is the one you’ll be loving all year long. So who’ll be smooching with who as we say farewell to 2022?

Week of January 2:

Monday, January 2:

Eric and Brady thought they’d come up with the perfect plan. The one thing they didn’t count on? Kristen’s reaction. Will it turn out that they’ve gone a bit too far?

Nicole and EJ have a past that the word “complicated” doesn’t begin to describe. So it’s not surprising that she’s reluctant to hit the sheets with him again. But will she give in to temptation?

What’s really going on between Johnny and Wendy? We’ll have a better idea following their conversation about the future.

Stefan and Chloe will have to brace themselves for the bombshell Gabi is about to drop on them!

Tuesday, January 3:

Sonny does what he can to make things right with Will. But that could prove harder than either of them would like to acknowledge!

Sarah is still trying to absorb the truth about her beloved Xander. Perhaps sharing what she knows with Bonnie, Justin and Maggie will help?

When Xander’s feeling down in the dumps, Gwen’s there to try and help lift his spirits.

Alex and Stephanie are getting closer… which is why he can’t help but question Chad’s own feelings for the beauty!

Wednesday, January 4:

Rafe shouldn’t really be surprised when he receives divorce papers from Nicole, and yet they hit harder than he imagined. Will Jada be able to help cheer him up?

The forward progress Alex has been making with Stephanie seems to have suffered a major setback as she rips into him!

A furious Bonnie and Justin, newly aware of everything Xander has done, confront the Scotsman in a must-see moment. Meanwhile, Gwen finds herself being encouraged to do the “right” thing by flipping on Xander. But given how she has felt about him in the past, can she really do that?

Thursday, January 5:

Hey, getting away from Salem is always fun (unless you’ve been kidnapped or are tracking down a killer). But Marlena and John find themselves happily enjoying a staycation!

The gloves come off as Brady makes it clear he’s ready to play hardball with Kristen.

Sloan can’t help but wonder if she made a huge mistake in doing a favor for Eric.

Kate is on the receiving end of bad news. Perhaps the fact that Rex is on hand to deliver it will at least soften the blow?

Friday, January 6:

Lives are on the line as Kristen and Brady race against time to find out exactly what happened to the all-important orchid! Meanwhile, Eric shocks John and Marlena with a revelation, and it looks as if Kate could be knock, knock, knocking on Heaven’s door soon as her condition takes a turn for the worse.

Alex is about to make a decision that could change everything!
