Weekly Recaps & Spoilers: January 20-24, 2025

Days of Our Lives – Peacock

Recaps

Philip begs Sarah not to tell Xander about the fake letter, and Marlena tries to get hold of John. Has Sarah finally figured out Victor’s letter is fake when she confronts Philip and Kate? Hopefully, she figures things out sooner, rather than later, since it sounds like working with Philip might have Xander running to Maggie to complain! Since they tried saying goodbye forever before the holidays, we can understand why Chad is stunned to run into Cat. John’s absence is definitely felt and by none more so than Marlena, who turns to Steve to cry on. Between Alex’s fling with Joy and Abe’s demands that Stephanie track down Lady Whistleblower, we could see why Kayla would need to console Stephanie.

Jada confronts EJ and Leo gets closer to Lady Whistleblower’s identity. Leo has a favor to ask of Abe, and seeing as how Bonnie and Hattie just made up, we’re pretty sure we know what it is! With their own love lives taking off, it’s no wonder that Gabi and Javi tease each other. After all, that’s what cousins do! The Salem PD gets another boost when Shawn welcomes JJ back into the fold. And they’re probably going to need the extra manpower to figure out what’s up with Rafe. EJ certainly won’t help there, as he’s too busy playing dumb with Jada!

Arnold and EJ spin a tale to Jada and Sarah makes up her mind about Philip. EJ’s never one to waste an opportunity, and that applies to Arnold, too, as the ex-DA is about to enlist his help. Maybe Maggie gave Xander some good advice since he’s making a peace offering to Philip. Let’s hope Stephanie can keep quiet after Sarah turns to her and asks her not to start spreading it around. Leo and Javi share a friendly moment, which, we all know, could easily blossom into something more.

Her life in pictures: As Alison Sweeney’s daughter turns 16, a photographic tribute to a kiddo who is “funny and strong, thoughtful and sensitive.”

Leo finally figures out Lady Whistleblower’s identity, and Javi shuts down Gabi’s worries. Seeing as how he’s about to be the father to another friend’s baby, Tate’s surprise romantic gesture to Holly had better be a doozy to win her over! Gabi really doesn’t like Leo, as she tries to convince Javi to cut his flash-in-the-pan ex loose, even as a friend. Is this the bad news Leo reveals to Marlena, or is there something more? Kristen catches Rachel acting out, but punishment may be too little too late. The kid may have succeeded in breaking up another of Daddy’s relationships as Ava’s trying to end things with Brady!

Leo successfully traps Kerry, and Brady and Kristen try to find a missing Rachel. Kerry’s time as a columnist may soon be up as Leo lays a trap for the secretive new Lady Whistleblower. A panicked Kristen interrupts Ava and Brady, which has us worried about Rachel’s well-being! (Especially since we know she’ll be disappearing and recast.) Well, there’s one problem off the list as Doug finally pays off his debts! Tate’s gesture wasn’t quite enough to keep Holly from realizing that he and Sophia were bonding.

Opinion: Days of Our Lives gets uncomfortable — Plus, what exactly is EJ’s plan!

The Bold & the Beautiful

Recaps

Steffy puts her plan into action, Li smears Poppy, and Luna apologizes. Steffy puts her plan into action by asking Carter, Hope, and Brooke for a job. The only perk Steffy really wants? Getting to watch as Daphne entices Carter away from Hope and hastens their ouster from Forrester Creations. So much for burying the hatchet. Li and Poppy argue about Poppy’s parenting skills. Though Tom and Hollis and/or their families should probably come first, Luna makes an apology to Bill instead.

Preview! Killer twist ahead for Bill and Luna… where it’s headed will shock you.

Steffy vows to make Hope and Carter pay, and Li plans a paternity test on Tom and Luna. Li remains cryptic, wanting to get to the heart of the matter. If we were her, we’d stay cryptic, too, because she isn’t gonna like the truth when she gets it.  Rather than just tune in to a true-crime documentary like the rest of us, Bill asks Luna to describe how she killed Tom and Hollis. Guess he’s found the upside of harboring a double murderer?

Li gets the results of the paternity test, and Carter rehires Steffy. Brooke feels that Steffy returning to Forrester may lead to Ridge returning to her. We have some bad news for her about that. In hiding and charmed by Will’s wit, Luna listens to a private conversation between him and Bill. How long until she recruits [Spoiler] as an accomplice in her new scheme?

Li confronts Poppy, and Ridge meets Daphne Rose. Steffy introduces her secret weapon, Daphne, to Ridge. Wonder if his reaction to her will be the same as ours was. Having the ammunition she needs, Li confronts Poppy.

Li accuses Poppy of sleeping with Jack, and Brooke confronts Taylor. What they really need to do is get some serious therapy to find out why they keep falling for Ridge’s BS. But instead, Brooke and Taylor face off.

Oh, snap! A reveal leads to Bill’s secret being exposed… which opens up an opportunity for Luna!

Next Week

It’s business as most unusual at Forrester Creations.

Steffy gives the performance of her life as she feigns surprise when Hope informs her that the design firm is striking a deal with Daphne “The Nose” Rose. What Hope doesn’t realize is that the perfumer is actually working on Steffy’s behalf — to seduce Carter out from under her former stepsister and retake control of the company for the family.

Won’t that be a fun reveal!

Speaking of Daphne, she wastes no time in trying to get under Carter’s skin. She turns the charm up to 11 and makes it so plain, that he’d have to be blind not to see that she’s coming on to him. The question is, will he be able to resist temptation, or will he be enticed to stray from Hope?

Next, while we may be delighted to have Liam back on the canvas, Bill isn’t, not so much. In fact, he goes so far as to tell his older son he needs some “me time” just so that he can keep Liam from finding out that he’s turned the mansion into a halfway house for double murderess Luna,

Over at the hospital, R.J.’s ex-girlfriend is the hot topic. Li calls her former husband Jack on the carpet and demands to know whether he is Luna’s father. Of course, there’s a sneaking suspicion that all the fussing and feuding is just a precursor to this twist.

The Young & the Restless

Recaps

Nate gets unexpected news about Damian and Summer vents to Chance after Kyle and Claire’s announcement to Harrison. Chelsea receives a surprise invitation — to move in with Adam. You know, for Connor’s sake. Once again proving that she is her mother’s daughter, Summer stands her ground. Let the games begin! We’ve only just met Damian, and already, he’s keeping a secret from Nate. As Ian and Jordan stalk Nikki, Melody Thomas Scott indulges in a laughing matter.

Claire comes face-to-face with Jordan and Nick floats a new theory to Chance. Didn’t see this one coming: Victoria and Chelsea find common ground. Nick shares a theory about Sharon’s disappearance with Chance. But will it be too late to save her? Sure sounds like it, because Ian’s revenge against Sharon is about to take a dangerous turn.

Claire plays Jordan and Sally slips up with Adam. Oh no, not again! This return will push Nikki to the brink… and may help Billy beat Victor! Adam loves to think he’s always one step ahead of everybody, so he’ll be extra surprised when Chelsea catches him off guard. Claire reunites with Jordan — or at least catches the madwoman getting her coffee on at Crimson Lights. Is there no Starbucks in Genoa City? Billy makes a shocking decision. Although the only thing he could do that would really shock us if shrink his ego. It will come as a surprise to no one that [Spoiler] scuttles Sally’s romantic plans for Paris!

Claire wants to kill Jordan, and Phyllis gives Billy a reality check. Victor uncovers Ian’s deception. Well, one of them, at least. Doesn’t Ian always have at least a dozen lies running at once? We might have called 911 first, but instead, Claire tells Nikki and Victoria that Jordan is once again on the loose. When Phyllis presses Billy to come clean, he might as well just do so immediately. You know she’s not one to back down!

More: Melissa Claire Egan shares a harrowing update

Heartbreaking news as Amelia Heinle loses home to the Palisades wildfire.

Claire, Victoria, and Nikki make a deadly pact, and Sharon breaks free. As Genoa City’s public enemy, No. 1 continues to sign his own death warrant, review all the suspects in the looming “Who killed Ian Ward?” murder mystery. As if Victor didn’t already have enough on his plate, now he becomes suspicious of Nikki, too. Claire talks the talk when she threatens Jordan. But if the madwoman’s niece ready to walk the walk? Desperate to get free, Sharon struggles to escape from the Sewer of Doom.

Next Week

Claire plays a dangerous game with Jordan, Billy starts over (yes, again), Victor lowers the boom on a familiar adversary, and time is running out for Sharon — and she didn’t have a whole lot to begin with!

Monday, January 20:

Young & Restless will be pre-empted due to CBS News Coverage.

Melissa Ordway: “Just happened to get lucky enough to catch this on camera.”

Tuesday, January 21:

Victor knows when something’s amiss. Always. So it should come as no surprise to Nikki that he becomes suspicious of her actions.

Though Nick and Chance follow a lead to find Sharon, will it be a case of “out of the sewer, into the frying pan” for the beleaguered heroine?

As Claire continues to plot the ultimate downfall of her unhinged aunt, she slyly gains Jordan’s trust.

Restless Rant! Young & Restless’ [Spoiler] will kill Jordan!

Wednesday, January 22:

Since this pivotal character has not come into Victor’s life, he busies himself by setting a trap.

Guess Chance and Nick’s lead doesn’t yield results. A day later Sharon is still working toward her escape.

It seems like only yesterday did Victoria get back the daughter she lost. So you can’t blame her for worrying about Claire’s safety with Jordan on the loose.

Thursday, January 23:

Victor backs “that Jordan woman” into a corner. Could the ranch’s wine cellar be about to turn off its “vacancy” sign again?

Having just finished reading ‘How to Lose Friends and Adversely Influence People,’ Ian torments Mariah. Will it be a matter of time before this happens?

How much more can Sharon take? As her life hangs in the balance, it’s now or never for a rescue and/or escape!

Friday, January 24:

This will go well: Victor questions Nikki’s judgment. Hasn’t he learned by now that his wife doesn’t care for being second-guessed?

With Ian intent on weaseling his way back into Mariah’s good graces, we shudder to think what the shocking discovery she makes is.

For the gazillionth time, Billy starts a new chapter. But will the book he’s in ever have a happy ending?
