General Hospital

Recaps

The ABC soap will not air today, due to the presidential inauguration.

Following the devastating fire that has done so much damage in California, Cameron Mathison shares before and after photos of his home: “Having trouble sleeping these days’.”

Michael makes a decision, and Sonny collapses after a confrontation with Ava. Regrets? Yeah, Willow’s got more than a few of those to contend with. Things heat up when Sonny and Ava wind up clashing. Maxie might want to get a cup of tea and settle in because Sasha’s ready to update her on the latest. On the heels of Chad Duell’s exit, Laura Wright addresses her status with the soap.

Sonny agreed to see a doctor, and Laura arranged a meeting with Jenz Sidwell. Ava doesn’t have a whole lot of people lining up to be in her corner. Good thing Ric is willing to provide assistance! What to do about Drew given everyone in town hates him! When Lulu receives an offer that can only be described as tempting, will she accept it… and at what potential cost? Kai has reason to be down, but maybe a visit from Trina can boost his spirits.

Juicy stuff: Steve Burton and his new fiancée take a bite out of The Big Apple.

The Bold & the Beautiful

Recaps

Alas, no new episode today due to President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Li accuses a mystified Jack of fathering Luna, and Liam grills his father. Never one to back down from a fight, Li doubles down with Jack and Poppy about Luna’s paternity. But the doctor may come to regret that decision. Here’s why. Liam is suspicious of Bill, which is a good idea on any given day. But today Liam is especially right to wonder what’s going on because his dad is doing his damnedest to hide Luna. Oh, snap! Li just handed Luna a get-out-of-jail-free card!

Li demands Jack take a paternity test, and Liam hits a nerve. With Steffy’s assistance, Finn has a light-bulb moment about him and his parents. Yep, y’all really are just that screwed up. Though Liam begs Bill to come clean about his recent isolation, he’ll probably be happier to think Pop’s become a hermit than that he’s harboring a double murderess. Also, it might spare Liam from falling prey to this twist. Incensed —Li gives Jack a paternity test.

Steffy and Daphne put their plan in motion, and Li’s moment of truth arrives. Steffy has to be laughing her butt off as Hope and Carter go the extra mile to get Daphne Rose on board at Forrester. As a matter of fact, in this very episode, Ridge and Taylor’s daughter revels in the fact that her plan is going so swimmingly. It’ll be like taking candy Forrester from a baby! As Bill and Luna discuss their pasts, we can’t help but wonder. Are these talks going to impact their future? And if so, how?

Li reads her paternity test results and Daphne signs with Carter. Carter and Daphne seal their deal… perhaps with a kiss? Or will Hope’s new man manage to resist the temptation that right’s under his nose? In the absence of a talk show host, Li has to announce whether Jack is Luna’s father herself.

Krista Allen shares a Taylor-made update — and a heartfelt message.

The Young & the Restless

Recaps

Young & Restless will be pre-empted due to CBS News Coverage of President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Melissa Ordway: “Just happened to get lucky enough to catch this on camera.”

Claire puts a twisted plot into action, and Chance and Nick find new evidence. Victor knows when something’s amiss. Always. So it should be no surprise to Nikki that he becomes suspicious of her actions. Though Nick and Chance follow a lead to find Sharon, will it be a case of “out of the sewer, into the frying pan” for the beleaguered heroine? As Claire continues to plot the ultimate downfall of her unhinged aunt, she slyly gains Jordan’s trust.

Restless Rant! Young & Restless’ [Spoiler] will kill Jordan!

Nick and Chance connect Jordan and Ian, and Claire brings her aunt to the ranch. Since this pivotal character has not come into Victor’s life, he busies himself by setting a trap.

Guess Chance and Nick’s lead doesn’t yield results. A day later Sharon is still working toward her escape. It seems like only yesterday that Victoria got back the daughter she lost. So you can’t blame her for worrying about Claire’s safety with Jordan on the loose. Double trouble! Claire’s next move could end, not one, but two romances!

Nick finds Sharon, and Claire takes Jordan where?!

Sharon escapes, and Jordan goes to extremes. Victor backs “that Jordan woman” into a corner. Could the ranch’s wine cellar be about to turn off its “vacancy” sign again? Having just finished reading How to Lose Friends and Adversely Influence People, Ian torments Mariah. Mark our words: It’s only a matter of time before this happens. How much more can Sharon take? As her life hangs in the balance, it’s now or never for a rescue and/or escape!

Murder alert! Ian’s next blood-chilling move might just be his last!

Sally surprises Billy, and Jordan dies. Or did she? One can never really know in soapland? This will go well: Victor questions Nikki’s judgment. Hasn’t he learned by now that his wife doesn’t care for being second-guessed? With Ian intent on weaseling his way back into Mariah’s good graces, we shudder to think what the shocking discovery she makes is. For the gazillionth time, Billy starts a new chapter. But will the book he’s in ever have a happy ending?

Christian Jules LeBlanc shares a real-life surprise that will give you chills.

Next Week

The truth about Heather’s murder finally comes to light, Sharon rewinds through her past, Mariah fears for the future, and unless we’re mistaken, Victor lowers the boom on Ian once and for all.

Monday, January 27:

Though doing so has virtually never worked out for Victor, he nonetheless covers up a secret to protect his family. Maybe this will be the time that his decision is for the best?

As she’s been doing since learning that Ian was out and about, Mariah worries about Tessa’s safety. We have a feeling things are about to get a whole lot worse for the couple before they get better — if they get better!

Hope Sharon has blocked out a good chunk of time. Because if she is intent on reflecting on her past mistakes, it’s gonna take a while!

Restless Rant! This week’s Young & Restless column looks at what may be Ian’s last stand… Plus, what did you think of Jordan’s ending?

Tuesday, January 28:

Victor puts Ian Ward in the hot seat. The question is, will the Black Knight be able to keep him there? Might we suggest restraints?

Since Michael takes on a dangerous assignment, we can only assume that it has to do with ending Ian’s reign of terror.

No nose-twitching required: Sally works her magic to impress Billy. We predict he’ll be utterly enchanted in three, two…

Wednesday, January 29:

Victor vows to stop Ian Ward at all costs, leading to a shocking turn of events. Is the baddie about to meet his maker?

Thursday, January 30:

“The Newmans recover from a volatile situation.” But let’s be real. After what they’ve been through, they can only begin to recover.

When Chance uncovers the truth, half the canvas will be flipped on its head.

Mariah’s world is rocked — and, we fear, not in a good way!

Friday, January 31:

Chelsea takes a risk with Adam. Are the old flames about to be relit?

How will Daniel feel when the truth about Heather’s death comes to light?

Kyle pushes Claire to come clean. But will she be willing to tell all to her new love? Speaking of Claire…

As her life takes yet another shocking turn…
