Patients 1-5 On General Hospital: Are They Right In Front Of Our Face?

Twins, twins everywhere on General Hospital. And a few of them have even gone blind in recent weeks. To be honest, Soap Hub is fully expecting Jason or Drew to be blind next… at least for a day.
It was months ago that Peter mentioned Patients 1-5, so that thread is still hanging out there. It always made sense that Drew must be Patient 5, but we scratched out heads wondering who Patients 1-4 were.
After all, at the time Peter mentioned it, we had no idea Ryan Chamberlain was alive after 25 years of being presumed dead.
Now, Anna and Ryan have been blind, Kevin is still blind, and the one thing all three have in common is some kind of contact with a Dr. Cabot, who apparently has been doing experiments on twins that seems to have gone awry.
But how awry did they actually go? Drew seems to have Jason’s memories permanently etched in his mind… at least the post 1996 memories.
But could PC’s other twins have been the prototypes… and could their memories be a hopeless jumble where the raindrops (in this case memories) tumble all around? We certainly think so, and here is what we know:
Andre was hired by the WSB to work on its memory mapping project. He chose to do this as a way to create an Alzheimer’s treatment breakthrough, but who was his first contact when he arrived in PC? Yes, Anna, a TWIN… and a WSB agent.
And who referred Anna to his new colleague, Andre? Yes, Kevin, another twin, who allegedly turned down working on a twin experiment with Dr. Cabot.
It would make sense that Kevin really did work with Dr. Cabot as he attempted to learn as much about twins as possible.
After all, he was determined to rehabilitate his presumed dead brother. It would also make sense that Kevin didn’t tell Ryan everything this week. Keeping information close to the vest would be wise in this situation.
Let’s never forget that Anna was missing and presumed dead for quite a few years. Who knows what might have been done to her during that time. Was she part of Dr. Cabot’s experiment? Did Andre come on to the project later and need to keep an eye on this test subject? It’s all possible.
What’s also possible is that more happened to Anna the last time Alex decided to switch places with her two years ago. Might she have her own memories mixed with Alex’s?
Could GH possibly have found a way to get itself out of the mess it made when it decided Anna slept with Faison (that still seems to give us more creeps than it does Anna) and Peter is Alex’s son, NOT Anna’s? (WE ARE GIVING YOU AN OUT, GH! PLEASE TAKE IT IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY!!!)
Now, what about Ryan and Kevin? Until recently, it never occurred to us that Ryan Chamberlain was actually alive. We barely even heard his name for a quarter of a century.
Could Kevin have known his brother was alive all these years and made him Patient 1? Was the experiment memory mapping back then or something completely different?
Perhaps Ryan was cryogenically frozen (we know that’s a GH thing, so don’t laugh at us here) until a few years ago and he and Kevin became Patients 3 and 4. Maybe he wanted to give Ryan some of himself so he would lose the urge to kill.
But perhaps Kevin did back out at the very last minute when he didn’t like what Dr. Cabot was doing.
Now, we know what you’re thinking. Could the Anna we see now really be Alex? Could Kevin really be going around killing people? And is the real Jason hanging out with Kim and worried sick about Oscar?
While it IS possible, we also beg GH: DO NOT GO THERE! Just do not! We want to see the rest of it happen. But we want ANNA with Finn. We want KEVIN to have always been the one with Laura. And now that JASON and Sam are reunited, let’s just keep him Jason. K. Thanks. Bye.
