DAYS Spoilers for Week of September 27: Dreams, Schemes, And A Song

The DAYS spoilers for September 27 – October 1, 2021, tease a former lover making the best of a bad situation, a married couple at an impasse, an unlikely partnership forming, and so much more!

DAYS Spoilers Highlights

The best way to get over someone, is to get under someone else…isn’t that what they say? Well, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is about to put that theory to the test – and his eye is firmly set on ex-wife, Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker). Won’t that just piss Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) right off?

Plus, as far as EJ is concerned, it’s a win, win for both of them. It’ll be fun reminiscing about old times – wasn’t it a gas when EJ called out Sami’s name while he and Nicole were making love? How about the time Nicole pretended to carry EJ’s baby and then stole Sami’s. And remember when he slept with her sister, Taylor? Plus, it just might make Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) jealous! What could be better?

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Baby Love

Despite her husband’s previously stated misgivings, Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) continues full steam ahead with her plan to start a family; not even Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) nightmare about bringing about a mini-Necktie Killer will deter her. Whatever Ciara wants, Ciara gets — whether or not it makes sense, whether or not it’s actually the right move for her — no matter who gets hurt in the process.

DAYS Odds and Ends

In other DAYS spoilers news, EJ and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) have a tense encounter, Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) has a disturbing dream, and Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) join forces in order to bring down Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash).

Meanwhile, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) may be down one investor – damn you, Grandpa John! – but he’s still got a song in his heart [which is for Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowen) ears only], and a scheme up his sleeve; paging Auntie Abigail (Marci Miller)!

Finally, DOOL spoilers reveal that, in the course of Gwen and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) scheming to clear his name, the former hits upon the perfect solution…but it’s going to require Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) getting on board.

DAYS Spoilers Photos: The Devil Goes After Doug, Again

DAYS spoilers photos for Monday, September 27, 2021, are here! Catch a glimpse of your favorite Salemites stirring up drama.

Doug William’s (Bill Hayes) ordeal is far from over. He may not be possessed anymore but that doesn’t mean the devil is walking away from him. Not in the slightest. A possessed Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) shows up to make sure Doug never gets a chance to breathe a word about what’s really going down.

Luckily for Doug, it looks like Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) arrives at exactly the right time. He saves the day, even if he doesn’t know it. Doug gets to live another day and try to tell his tale, which is not easy to do. DAYS spoilers show he struggles to get the words out. Try as they might, Eli and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) just don’t get what Doug is trying to say.

All the while, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) discuss their future. She has some serious baby fever but convincing her husband now is the right time to get pregnant is going to be a major feat. Their life together is finally on track and Ben doesn’t want anything to derail their romance.

Rating the Replacement: How DAYS’ Dan Feuerriegel Has Made EJ His Own

As one of the Days of our Lives’ most pivotal DiMeras, finding the right actor to resurrect the dashing mercurial EJ was a major task. James Scott, who originated the character, was not only a charismatic fan favorite but also a consummate performer. However, the show’s casting department’s long hard search has paid off handsomely; not only meeting expectations but exceeding them by hiring Dan Feuerriegel for the job.

Dan Feuerriegel: The Essence of EJ

Dan Feuerriegel not only looks the part of EJ – he’s tall, attractive, and has a commanding presence when he walks into the room – but he also embodies the essence of EJ. He’s had that down pat from his very first scene. He’s dashing and dignified, debonair and polished, and oozing with sophistication.

He’s also quickly mastered the many sides of EJ on Days of our Lives. He can be cool, calm, and in control one moment, but there’s always that fear factor raging beneath the surface. He can erupt on a dime against anyone, and when he does, beware the poor soul who’s provoked him.

Synchronizing with Sami

The real test for Dan Feuerriegel was meshing with Alison Sweeney’s Sami Brady DiMera. Would they fit as a potential soap super couple? Would they share a sense of camaraderie? And, above all, would there be sparks between them that intangible thing called chemistry?

While it did take a few scenes to kick in, the two actors quickly adapted and adjusted to each other. Before long, they were a perfect fit, and DAYS’ Sami and EJ’s relationship became all the things viewers had always known and loved – a mix of playfulness, passion, and furor.

Family and Foes

A strong family connection was also key to Feuerriegel’s success as EJ. Fortunately, there was an effortless comfortability between him and his TV brothers, Tony (Thaao Penghlis) and Chad (Billy Flynn). He seemed welcomed into the fold, and it resonated in their scenes as brothers, whether they were talking DiMera business, plotting strategy or simply bickering as siblings do.

When it came to foes on DAYS, Feuerriegel quickly figured out each and every dynamic. There was an instant looking down on and disgust toward the family black sheep, Jake (Brandon Barash), and an immediate dislike of his social-climbing girlfriend, Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus). Dan Feuerriegel also quickly mastered EJ’s animosity toward Sami’s exes, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). He was aptly dismissive with both of them from the get-go, yet you could sense an undercurrent of jealousy, knowing that each man once held a special part in Sami’s heart.

Days of our Lives has pulled off the kind of recast that doesn’t come along often on soaps – a perfect custom-order fit. That’s why rating Dan Feuerreigel as the new DiMera in town is an easy A+. He’s totally made EJ his own and in record time.

Days of our Lives Weekly Update: Conspiring, Concerns, and Confidants

Days of our Lives spoilers weekly update for September 27 – October 1, 2021, tease the week ahead is full of temptation, romance, and disappointment. Tune in next week so you can catch all of the action in Salem!

Days of our Lives — The Week Ahead

Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) still has babies on her mind. She wants to start a family with Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson), but he has fears about bringing another serial killer into the world. Ciara tries her best to assure him any baby of theirs would grow up with love and support, and never turn to the dark side. Since neither of them can come to a compromise they turn to friends and family for support. Ben shares his concerns with Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams), while Ciara confides in Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold).

His movie isn’t getting the support from everyone that he initially thought it would, but Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) isn’t giving up hope just yet. Even with Grandpa John (Drake Hogestyn) backing out of becoming an investor. Johnny adapts to the letdown and looks to Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) for help getting his film on the big screen.

Even with the realization that Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) has real feelings for Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) doesn’t let that tidbit of information deter him. He asks her out on a date, knowing full well Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) won’t like that one bit. It will be fun to see these former lovers reigniting their flame.

Days of our Lives Weekly Recap

Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) was possessed by the devil but it didn’t last long. A little chat in Marlena Evan’s (Deidre Hall) office and his problem became the Doc’s. The devil demanded permission to enter Marlena’s body and the storyline began again, 25 years later.

EJ shook up Gabi Hernandez’s (Camila Banus) whole world by reclaiming his father’s house. It was out with Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Gabi, in with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Abigail (Marci Miller), and all was sort of right at the mansion again. EJ then went on to revoke his support for Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) which resulted in the baddie’s arrest.

Abigail showed up to see Gwen (Emily O’Brien) and the ladies made peace. A peace that was based on lies, anyway. Abigail wore her heart (and guilt) on her sleeve but Gwen couldn’t bring herself to come forward with the truth.

Days of our Lives Favorite Josh Taylor Celebrates His Birthday

Roman Brady may be spending his days toiling at the Brady Pub and his nights cold and alone on Days of our Lives but actor Josh Taylor certainly has a reason to celebrate!

Happy Birthday, Josh Taylor

That’s because he was born on September 25, 1943, in Princeton, Illinois, which means that this talented performer is turning 78 years old today! Having earned his Juris Doctor degree, Taylor was on his way to work on the Alaska Pipeline when he was waylaid by the offer to manage the West Village Bratskeller, a restaurant that catered to celebrities and VIP.s.

After serving actors, producers, and other Hollywood types for over a year, Taylor decided to forgo trying to establish himself as a lawyer and instead set his sights on becoming an actor.

He quickly scored his first role – a “contemporary cowboy” – on Barnaby Jones and this was followed by small parts on The Six Million Dollar Man and The Hardy Boys.

In 1977, Taylor accepted an offer to join the cast of the NBC daytime sudser Days of our Lives and he debuted as construction foreman Chris Kositchek. Although is the role on DAYS would last a full decade, Taylor still took any and all opportunities that came his way.

He briefly starred in his own CBS police drama – titled Riker – and he landed the plum role of Michael Hogan on the NBC sitcom Valerie a vehicle designed for legendary TV actress Valerie Harper.

However, trouble behind the scenes led to a complete reshuffle of the series and it was retooled first as Valerie’s Family and later The Hogan Family. The part of Michael was substantially built up and, since his airtime at DAYS had dwindled significantly over 10 years, Taylor quit his “day” job to concentrate fully on his comedy show,

After The Hogan Family was canceled in 1991, Taylor was hired at the FOX network’s teen serial as James McKay, the father of the popular Dylan McKay character. As James, Taylor would make appearances for the entire run of the series. In 1997, Taylor returned to DAYS but this time it was in the role of Roman Brady.

Soap Hub would like to wish Josh Taylor a very happy birthday and many more to come.

Soap Spoilers: September 27-October 1, 2021

The Young and the Restless

Things are definitely coming to a head in the saga of Ashland Locke’s mysterious past, and the fallout will pit Victor against Billy, not to mention Victoria against Nick (of all people!). Meanwhile, Jack and Phyllis can’t seem to stay away from one another after his oddly timed declaration of love, trouble brews between Mariah and Tessa, and Amanda makes a major move.

Friday, September 24:

When Victoria becomes suspicious of Phyllis, will she be feeling protective of her younger brother, Nick? If so, what is the redhead up to that is so concerning… and with whom?

It sounds like Billy’s in the catbird seat when he makes someone a generous offer. But who will be the benefactor of his largesse? And will they leap at the opportunity he’s offering or tell him to go fish?

Victor takes matters into his own hands. But who will be the mustachioed mogul’s target and what situation will he be taking control of? Will it have to do with would-be son-in-law Ashland? Our guess would be “yes.” Our second guess would be, “Ashland’s in biiig trouble,” especially considering how Victor has handled other “problems.”

Week of September 27:

Monday, September 27:

Wow, who knew that Ashland and Victoria’s love story would come down to Victor vs. Billy? Only everyone! What remains to be seen is who will come out on top when The Mustache helps Ashland craft a defense against Billy Boy.

Speaking of things we saw coming a mile away, Abby turns to Devon for help with Dominic. Given the way the billionaire is already struggling with the reality of his limited role in the child’s life, how much more attached will he get if he steps in to pinch-hit for Chance?

When Mariah hints at plans for the future, will she be spreading the word about her hopes to have a baby with Tessa? And if so, how will her obviously reluctant partner respond? Is there trouble ahead for Teriah?

Courtney Hope (Sally) breaks her social-media fast to reach out to ‘my rock, my saving grace and my right hand’ on the most special of occasions.

Tuesday, September 28:

Jack and Phyllis discuss unfinished business, which can only mean more talk about him professing his undying love to her (and then confessing that he did so to her boyfriend, Nick). Will this end up with Jack looking through our album of his past loves and wondering where it all went wrong?

Has hell frozen over? It must have, because the unthinkable happens when Victoria and Adam call a truce.

When Amanda makes a move in the right direction, we have to assume she’s finally packing her bags and hightailing it over to the penthouse after taking Devon up on his offer to co-habitate. But how will his role in Dominic’s life, not to mention her sister Imani’s return to Genoa City, affect their relationship? Can they make it work with so many distractions? Maybe there’s a hint to be found in this photographic review of Mishael Morgan’s runs as both Hilary and Amanda.

Wednesday, September 29:

Well, we’ve been here and done this before. What sort of answers will Nikki get this time when she questions Billy’s motives? Will he finally convince her that he has Victoria’s best interests at heart?

We have to wonder where Nick is — and what he’d think of this development, given Jack’s recent confession — when Jabot’s lonely head honcho spends quality time with Phyllis.

Will Ashland take heed when Nate gives him unsolicited advice? It’s probably not a bad idea, given how level-headed the former has proven to be, and the result may make the groom-to-be extra grateful that he decided to ask the dashing doc to be his best man.

Thursday, September 30:

In a bit of weird timing, just after Victoria buries the hatchet with her brother Adam, conflict flares with her other sibling when she accuses Nick of betrayal. Can she not get along with both of them at the same time?

What advice will Sharon give to Mariah when she opens up to her, presumably about her desire to have a baby of her own after parting ways with her beloved Bowie? Oops, we mean Dominic!

We’d expect nothing less from the man with the moniker Locke Ness Monster. But what will the fallout be, and for whom, when Ashland protects his interests? Maybe we’ll finally find out what makes him so fearsome.

Friday, October 1:

This Nick/Phyllis/Jack situation continues to become more fraught when her significant other interrupts a moment between her and her ex. We have to wonder how she finds time for all these clandestine meetings with her former husband whilst running a hotel almost single-handedly… and we also question whether this is all leading to a partner swap for our favorite risk-taking redhead.

Tension rears its ugly head when Mariah and Tessa disagree about their future. We’re guessing Tessa isn’t ready to take time out from touring to start a family. Could a breakup be in their future?

Eek! Who will be the unfortunate target when Victoria unleashes her anger? Could it be her cagey husband-to-be, her brother, her father or — most likely if we’re being honest — her ex-husband, Billy?

Now that you know what’s coming up on screen, follow the steps of an off-screen romance as we celebrate the anniversary of Melissa Ordway (Abby) and Justin Gaston (ex-Chance).

The Bold and the Beautiful

Confessions are made and confrontations go down after Quinn and Carter are caught in the act! Plus, Steffy and Sheila square off, Finn confides in a blonde that isn’t Paris, and Sheila lands a new confidante who puts a fresh twist on her situation.

Friday, September 24:

Justin busts Quinn and Carter, Paris makes a move, and Sheila shows up uninvited!

Will the Forresters never learn? Cooking up yet another recipe for a disastrous misunderstanding, Ridge and Eric each keep a secret from the other. We know what the elder Forrester is withholding, but what could Ridge be hiding? Perhaps a Quinn and Carter sighting?! Maybe he doesn’t want to admit how much he likes the idea of Deacon Sharpe getting a shot at redemption?

She’s baaack! Sheila vowed, in several sinister-sounding speeches (made mostly to herself), that she would not be kept away from her son and grandson… and she makes good on those threats. Unsurprisingly, Steffy fumes when the Finn’s birth mother makes yet another unexpected visit. Forget baby-proofing the house, Steffy; you’ve gotta psycho-proof it!

Find out what we thought of the week that was as we weigh in on everything from the Logan sisters anointing themselves Eric’s protectors to “Quarter” forgetting that they’ve got the all-clear to have sex, not a fairy-tale romance, in a new Soapbox column.

Week of September 27:

Y&R Restless Rant! Hot topics: Jack’s pointless standalone episode, Ashland’s secret revealed, Tessa’s dilemma, Sharon vs. Sally, Noah’s return, and much more…

Monday, September 27:

Pass the popcorn and fill your glass, ’cause all hell is bound to break loose when Quinn and Carter find themselves busted! And you just know no one is going to believe them when they say that they have Eric’s blessing to canoodle!

Who will come out worse for wear when things quickly get volatile between Steffy and Sheila? Honestly, this could go either way, which makes it such a delicious showdown. We’re rubbing our hands in anticipation! Way to get us into the week, Bold & Beautiful!

Courtney Hope (ex-Sally) breaks her social-media fast to reach out to ‘my rock, my saving grace and my right hand’ on the most special of occasions.

Tuesday, September 28:

Sheila puts Finn on the spot when he halts her argument with Steffy. Will the good doctor have his wife’s back once again, or will he find himself back in the guesthouse with no air-conditioning, or worse yet, kicked entirely to the curb if he sides with his birth mother?!

Will Quinn and Carter reveal how Eric’s erectile dysfunction diagnosis led to them being back between the sheets together, or will they keep his secret hidden, when they attempt to do damage control?

Wednesday, September 29:

Eric and Katie bond while sharing an emotionally cathartic moment. Is this the beginning of more than just neighborly closeness, and if so, what on earth will her still-besotted sister, Donna, think of the unforeseen development? If you’re also interested in finding out what the Forrester patriarch thinks of his Logan exes, dive into our photo-filled interview in which John McCook dishes the deets on Eric’s former loves.

Ridge explodes when Justin reveals an upsetting truth (which can only be Quinn having sex with Carter). Are we headed for an extreme confrontation between Ridge, Carter and Quinn? Or will the fuming dressmaker run directly to his father with the so-called goods on his wife?

Thursday, September 30:

Katie gains clarity when Eric divulges an intimate secret. Clearly, he’ll come clean about his issues in the bedroom, which could help the nosy neighbor to be a little more sympathetic toward Quinn’s position. However, we suspect if she finds out his wife agreed to be “fulfilled” by Carter, Katie’s new sense of understanding will go out the window faster than Eric did when Stephanie caught him in bed with Donna!

Ah, well, there’s our answer then! Ridge confronts Eric in front of Quinn about her adultery. We fully expect him to be astounded when he learns that his dear ol’ dad orchestrated the whole thing!

Friday, October 1:

Finn confides in Hope while Liam and Steffy spend time with Kelly. We’d be surprised if Hope had much sympathy for anything having to do with Sheila, but then again, she has a problematic biological parent of her own. As is turns out, we just happen to have a perfect storyline in mind for a potential Deacon return.

Sheila takes deceptive advice from a new acquaintance. We have to wonder if it could be Paris, who just might see an opportunity to manipulate the situation and drive a wedge between Steffy and Finn, who is the object of her heart’s desire.

General Hospital

There could be big changes ahead for several couples as Michael and Willow revel in their happiness, Ned and Olivia appear to be at a crossroads, and the fate of Nikolas and Ava’s marriage might finally be decided!

Hot Topic: Is Carly keeping a secret that would rock both Jason and Sonny?

Week of September 20:

Monday, September 20:

Sonny comes home just as Carly and Jason kiss upstairs, Brook Lynn asks Chase to stay the night, and Nina fills in Anna and Valentin on Peter.

Nina’s forced to take a look at herself and her own recent actions. Will she be able to rationalize what she’s done where “Mike” is concerned? And if you think this story is ending, think again. Maurice Benard (Sonny) and Laura Wright (Carly) promise what comes next is sure to “blow your mind.”

Chase has a gift for Monica.

Olivia isn’t thrilled with hubby Ned after finding out that he’s been less than honest with her.

Brando only wants what’s best for his mom. Unfortunately, that might be tough in that all Gladys wants for herself is the best… period!

When Maxie and Spinelli share a moment at the wedding reception, might this kick off a new beginning for Georgie’s parents?

Tuesday, September 21:

Sonny learns Carly and Jason got married, Peter escapes after Anna shoots him, and Maxie panics when she learns Peter is back.

Anna is in need of help, which is Valentin’s cue to ride to the rescue.

Things have gotten pretty complicated between Liz and Finn since first they schemed to keep Peter’s “death” under wraps. Today, they’ll try to figure out exactly where they stand.

Fans who’ve been shipping the idea of Chase and Brook Lynn as a couple will definitely enjoy watching them get closer today.

Austin’s clearly concerned about Maxie, a fact that does not go unnoticed or unappreciated by Britt.

It’s time for Willow and Michael to sit down and figure out exactly where they’re going to go next.

Wednesday, September 22:

Sonny reunites with his children, Trina realizes Esme and Spencer have been working together, and Chase asks BLQ out for a drink.

Nina and Phyllis have a few issues to work out.

Chase sits down with Willow and Michael so that the three of them can finally figure out how the three of them will move forward.

Can Cameron help Joss and Spencer make peace with one another?

As Ava prepares to leave town, she asks Kristina to help keep Charlie’s Pub going in her absence.

Thursday, September 23:

Anna receives a call that could lead her straight to Drew, Trina and Cam team up to expose Ava’s stalker, and Sonny encounters Nina.

Britt needs to blow off a little steam, so where better to head than the gym?

Trina hopes that Cameron can help her expose the truth about Esme. Meanwhile, Nikolas tries to get his relationship with son Spencer back on the right track. But given all that’s transpired between them in recent weeks, is that even possible?

In need of someone to confide in, Nina turns to Maxie.

When Anna receives a chilling phone call, who is on the other end of the line and what do they say that leaves her so shaken?

Friday, September 24:

Nina tries to explain her actions to a livid Sonny, while Carly and Jason ponder what could have been between them.

Nikolas has reason to be hopeful when Spencer has a change of heart. Of course, given that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, should Nikolas trust that his son’s new stance is genuine?

Even as Trina’s plotting against Esme, the newbie is trying to get closer to Josslyn.

Maxie, having been around Port Charles long enough to know how things tend to go, prepares for the worst.

What’s the alarming news that leaves Britt shaken?

On his beloved wife’s birthday, Maurice Benard shares an intimate photo that ‘really shows our relationship when we started going out’ — plus, why ‘she doesn’t like kissing me’ these days.

As we pass the anniversary of his final soap appearance, we remember the onetime ABC leading man who was taken from us by AIDS at just 52 years old.

Week of September 27:

Monday, September 27:

Josslyn’s got great news to share… but will everyone, including Brook Lynn, see it the same way?

There was a point at which Obrecht had the upper hand, but she’s about to lose that advantage.

Armed with some new info, Anna and Valentin step up their investigation.

When Chase offers advice, will big brother Finn listen? (And how happy are we all that it turned out Finn wasn’t actually his dad?)

Like the good friend she’s long been, Terry is there when Elizabeth needs her support.

Tuesday, September 28:

Maxie hopes that moving forward, everyone will have compassion for what others are going through.

Nothing like a little liquid courage, right? That’s what Valentin finds when he takes advantage of an alcohol-fueled moment.

Never one to miss out on an opportunity, Obrecht jumps at the chance to form a rather unexpected alliance.

There ain’t a whole lot of happy couples around Port Charles these days, but Michael and Willow continue to be the exception to that rule.

Drew’s had just about enough of his current circumstances. But what can he do to change them?

Wednesday, September 29:

Trina is determined to bust Spencer… but will Cam go along with her plan? (Who are we kidding… Cameron would like nothing better than to bust Spencer’s chops!) Meanwhile, Josslyn sees something that she definitely can’t explain while at the hospital.

How far is Nikolas willing to go in order to keep Ava safe?

Epiphany is there when a longtime friend is in need of assistance.

Given what we’ve already seen her do, it’s kinda terrifying to think about what it means that Esme is about to make a bold move.

Thursday, September 30:

Monica put aside at least some of her issues with Carly in order to see Jason happy. But now, she can’t help wondering what’s going to unfold.

Jax is definitely not an innocent bystander where recent events are concerned, and he finally accepts his part of the blame.

Wondering what the latest is on the investigation into Hayden’s shooting? So is Alexis, who gets an update from Shawn.

Ava has a surprise for Kevin.

Something tells us things could get interesting when Josslyn and Esme cross paths!

Friday, October 1:

Backed into a corner with nowhere to go, how will Nikolas react? And what does it mean that Ava is the one who walks away having had the last word?

Maxie feels the need to apologize, but to whom and for what?

Having been the cause of tension between her dad and Olivia in the past, Brook Lynn realizes that the couple has hit another speed bump. Will Ned open up to his daughter about what’s really going on?

It looks as if Austin’s case against the Quartermaine family is finally moving to the next level. With Scott by his side, will Edward’s illegitimate heir finally get his share of the Quartermaine pie?

A whole lot went down while Sonny was hanging out in Nixon Falls… but one thing that didn’t happen probably should have, because it would have changed several relationships forever. Did the soap chicken out at the last minute… or might this shocking twist still unfold?

Over in the park, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) shows his sister the secrets of his script. Teasers show the manuscript is full of juicy tidbits and some serious family drama. Will she change her mind about playing the role of her mother? Maybe a talk with John Black (Drake Hogestyn) will help her make a clear decision.

Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) isn’t the only one chitchatting with John. Abe Carver (James Reynolds) makes an appearance at the apartment too. Is he there to share his good news or help John deal with what’s to come if Johnny’s flic makes it to the big screen?

Cady Huffman has wrapped up her short-term run as Bonnie’s (Judi Evans) duplicitous sister-in-law, Calista Lockhart. She debuted in the role on August 27 and was quickly killed off.

Also off the canvas is Kevin Sizemore, who portrayed Calista’s sleazy late husband, Harrison Lord. He appeared in flashback scenes with Huffman and Evans, last week.

Days of our Lives spoilers weekly update for September 20 – 24, 2021, tease the week ahead is full of worry and dread, unannounced visitors, and important talks. Tune in next week so you can catch all of the action in Salem!

Days of our Lives — The Week Ahead

Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) are experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions this week, Days of our Lives spoilers tease. Just when they thought Doug was cleared of any ailments, they are rushing back to Dr. Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) office for more tests. The whole situation has Julie in a wreck. She finds solace in Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) as he tries his best to comfort her.

Instead of getting better, Doug quickly takes a turn for the worse. It will take Kayla time to figure out what is causing his memory lapses. Julie doesn’t want to wait any longer for answers. Her concern is in the best of intentions, and Julie believes that she knows what is best for her husband. Sadly, Julie’s solutions inadvertently make Doug’s situation worse.

Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) is back in Salem and has a score to settle with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). Abby shows up unannounced on Gwen’s doorstep. Is this a friendly visit to make amends or does Abigail plan to give Gwen a piece of her mind?

Gwen also meets up with Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) this week. Salem’s newest couple has the talk everyone dreads. Where do we stand? We have our suspicions that Xander is still holding out hope for Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) to come back to him. After their discussion, things will be much clearer for the both of them.

Days of our Lives Weekly Recap

Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) was haunted by her past and ready to break. Luckily, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) talked Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) into coming to her rescue. Bonnie told Justin the whole sordid tale starting way back in the day. Yes, she did kill Harrison Lord (Kevin Sizemore), but it was in self-defense – much like how Calista Lockhart’s (Cady Huffman) death is an accident.

Abe Carver (James Reynolds) told Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) he was wanted to marry Paulina Price (Jackée Harry). Lani approved the union. It was all good on their end. Unfortunately, the guilt of Paulina’s secret was weighing on her. So much so, she turned up at Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) office and spilled all.

Doug and Julie had a trying week. His cognitive functions were slipping and Julie couldn’t ignore his slip-ups any longer. Luckily, he passed his assessment tests with flying colors. Unfortunately, he then made an advance on Paulina that sent Julie begging Kayla for an MRI. Little did Julie know, Doug’s problem were not medical at all. The man doesn’t need a doctor, he needs a priest!

DAYS Spoilers Speculation: Here’s What Really Happened To Sami

It’s been a while since DAYS spoilers left off with us seeing Sami Brady DiMera kidnapped in Salem, but that won’t stop us from wondering what really happened to her.

DAYS Spoilers Speculation

She’s definitely missing, she’s definitely out of touch, and she’s definitely in trouble. But where is she exactly? What almost 2,000 voters suspect:

You Know Where To Go

EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) was furious to learn that Sami (Alison Sweeney) cheated on him with Lucas Horton (Bryan Datillo). This is why 41% of you have no doubt that it was EJ who had his wife snatched and sent to the same island where all DiMeras dump people who are inconveniencing them. Maybe she and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) can hang out?

DAYS Spoilers: Speak Of the Devil

And speaking of Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk), a smaller 27% of the audience think she’s the one who got her sister-in-law and banished her. Maybe she thought Sarah needed the company. Maybe she wanted to get back at Sami for cheating on EJ. Maybe she’s just mean, mean, mean… Now, where have we heard that about her before?

Strangers In the Night

It wasn’t the DiMeras, 22% of you are confident. You’re less confident about who it was, settling for a vague “someone else.” Well, Sami has pissed off a lot of people in her life. Now that we’re talking about her evil past – with Johnny’s (Carson Boatman) movie – maybe it was Belle Brady (Martha Madison), still mad about that whole kidnapped me as a baby thing. Or maybe… the devil made Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) do it…

Out Of Sight, Out of Mind

Only 10% of viewers are pointing the finger at Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), suggesting she had Sami kidnapped and sent off to Mafia land. To keep her away from Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering)? Because she’s also a pretty mean person? Your guess is as good as ours!

Only the writers know what happened to Sami...we'll just have to watch and find out!!!!!

Days of our Lives Recaps: Murder, Fist Fights, And Frights

The Days of our Lives recap for September 13 – September 17, 2021, feature an ancient evil making its presence known, an estranged couple agreeing to share the same dwelling, a budding filmmaker striving to make his dream a reality, and so much more.

Days of our Lives Recaps: Monday, September 13

Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) imagined coming clean to her father about miscarrying her baby prior to that injurious tussle with Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller); when the Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) of her fantasy disowns and throws her out, Gwen tells the real McCoy that she once prostituted herself to Dr. Snyder (Michael Lowry), and he was holding the fact against her.

EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) engaged in fisticuffs; EJ emerged triumphantly…Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) pleaded with Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller) to return home with him; Abby admitted that she’s still struggling to reconcile her involvement in Gwen’s miscarriage; eventually, Chad succeeds in convincing Abby that she’s needed – and wanted – in Salem.

Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) was aghast when Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) failed to recall Tom and Alice Horton (MacDonald Carey and Frances Reid). The couple head to University Hospital and Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) prepares Doug for a battery of tests.

Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) went on a charm offensive in the hopes that Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) could be swayed into investing in his film. Though she doesn’t commit, Marlena promises to speak with John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and get back to Johnny; she also encourages Johnny to reach out to Will Horton (Chandler Massey) whom she reminds spent time in Hollywood peddling a script based on their mother’s exploits.

DAYS Recaps: Tuesday, September 14

Hoping to cause dissension in the ranks, Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) made of show of confronting Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) with the accusation that he planted the keylogger on Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson), then insisting that it had been Philip who put the idea in their heads; they both make a plea to Brady to take the matter up with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) on their behalf.

After failing to tempt Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) out of the office during her lunch hour, Philip joined Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) for a cocktail; they proceed to commiserate over the state of their complicated love lives…Chloe and Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker) discussed the former’s disgust at Philip and Brady vying for her affections, and the latter’s pending divorce, and her feelings for Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).

Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) imagined Calista Lockhart (Cady Huffman) returned from the great beyond, gun in hand, ready to shoot her dead; Rafe pulls her out of her reverie. During the interrogation that followed, Rafe revealed that Calista penned a note claiming that Bonnie murdered Harrison Lord; Bonnie denied the charge.

Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) encouraged Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) to take Bonnie on as a client and to keep an open mind when hearing her side of things…Upon catching sight of Gabi, Jake, and Brady conversing, Philip accused his underlings of conspiring with the enemy…Justin terminated Rafe’s interview with Bonnie.

DOOL Recaps: Wednesday, September 15

Bonnie confessed to Justin that she killed both Calista and Harrison Lord in self-defense – and that she had covered for Mimi Lockhart, who was actually responsible for David Lockhart’s death; Justin promises to do everything in his power to see Bonnie freed of her murder charges; he further stuns her with his willingness to continue their romantic relationship.

Gabi and Jake managed to deflect Philip’s questions, and ultimately convince him that they are firmly on his side. Later, Philip makes a scene at Basic Black when he finds Brady and Chloe deep in conversation.

Nicole and Rafe have an awkward cross outside the Brady Pub; she lets him know that Ava relayed his admittance to having feelings for her; Rafe wonders if Nicole has similar feelings for him; she stalks off without answering.

Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) are given a private tour of Oak Alley Plantation. They are deeply troubled to learn of the grand home’s true history.

Days of our Lives Recaps: Thursday, September 16

Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) dine at the Brady Pub, and he broaches the possibility of one day proposing to Paulina Price (Jackée Harry); Lani gives him her blessing. Opposite this, Paulina confides in Marlena the true circumstances concerning Lani’s conception, and the decision to hand her over to Tamara Price for raising.

Johnny and Will catch up via video; the conversation shifts to Johnny’s interest in filming The Sami Brady Story; Will agreed to send the script; the brothers discuss Sami’s MIA status.

Kayla administered an oral test to determine if Doug is showing any signs of dementia; he passes with flying colors, and a delighted Kayla sees no further reason to keep him in the hospital…Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) celebrate the successful opening of Sweet Bits; their hug is witnessed by an uncomfortable Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams).

Doug gropes Paulina’s derrière; a mortified Julie apologizes, then approaches Kayla with the latest development in Doug’s case; Kayla orders an MRI…Johnny finds Chanel, Allie, and Tripp enjoying a meal together; he joins them, makes amends with Allie, then suggests that she play their mother in his adaption of The Sami Brady Story.

DOOL Recaps: Friday, September 17

When Doug’s MRI results fail to provide an explanation for his recent actions, Kayla suggests that he might benefit from a session with Marlena; she calls to make arrangements and interrupts a tense debate between Marlena and John over Johnny’s proposed film project.

When EJ once again presses him to accept a job at DiMera Enterprises, Johnny reveals that he’s going to film The Sami Brady Story; Johnny later secures some financing from Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo)…Chad and Abigail settle in at the DiMera manse; she reveals that she wants to maintain separate bedrooms; Abby and EJ share an awkward cross.

Lucas pushes Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) to give serious consideration to reuniting with Roman…During their session, Doug admits to Marlena that he knows something is terribly wrong with him; he then claims to not be Doug at all, but instead the same Devil who took possession of Marlena’s soul 25 years earlier!

Days of our Lives Icon Alison Sweeney Celebrates Her Birthday

Wherever Sami Brady goes, the drama is sure to follow…as so many Days of our Lives characters are painfully aware. But each and every return appearance is gladly welcomed by fans of her portrayer, Alison Sweeney – who has her own special milestone to celebrate.

Happy Birthday, Alison Sweeney!

And that’s because she was born on September 19, 1976, in Los Angeles, California, which means that this multi-talented woman is turning 45 years old today! Sweeney made her acting debut at the age of five in a commercial for Kodak cameras.

Subsequently, she appeared in episodes of Simon & Simon, St. Elsewhere, Webster, and Tales From the Dark

side. In 1987, she was hired to portray a younger version of Judi Evans’ character, Adrienne Johnson, on Days of our Lives.

Six years later, Sweeney rejoined the soap cast – but this time she was to take on the role of Samantha “Sami” Gene Brady. Sweeney remained at DAYS for the next 22 years, rarely straying from the front burner. The actress has made sporadic guest appearances since 2017.

Sweeney’s other acting credits include episodes of Family Man, Brand New Life, Bay State, Friends, American Dreams, Las Vegas, and Mercy, as well as the feature film The End of Innocence.

Sweeney joined the “Hallmark family” in 2013, and since that time she has appeared in over 14 movies made exclusively for that network. Two of them have been Christmas themed, and the bulk are representative of two uber-successful franchises: Murder She Baked (5 films) and Chronicle Mysteries (4 films).

Outside of her acting, Sweeney is known for hosting The Biggest Loser – a competition-based, weight loss program – authoring three novels, and directing numerous projects.

Sweeney has been married to David Sanov since July 8, 2000. Together the couple has welcomed two children: a son (born February 25, 2005) and a daughter (born January 12, 2009).

Soap Hub would like to wish Alison Sweeney a very happy birthday

Soap Hub Performer of the Week for DAYS: Bill Hayes

DAYS laid the foundation for success long before their debuts, you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who would argue that Bill Hayes, as beloved Doug Williams, – the recipient of Soap Hub’s Performer of the Week award for Days of our Lives – and Susan Seaforth Hayes as his longtime lady love Julie weren’t the catalysts for the ascension to storied new heights.

Bill Hayes – Performer of the Week for DAYS

As of late, the DAYS’ beloved couple have wanted for actual story, Bill in particular. But the tide changed, when Doug began to exhibit out-of-character behavior – like locking his darling Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) inside a walk-in freezer – and other moments of senility.

For a time, the couple ignored the warning signs – and then Doug failed to recognize either Tom or Alice Horton (the late MacDonald Carey and Frances Reid, respectively); “Oh my, why can’t I remember them,” he asked, fear and regret clearly visible on his countenance, his voice breaking. “What is wrong with me?”

Julie assured her husband that they’d address the problem post-haste. During a subsequent consultation with DAYS Dr. Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), Doug got down to brass tacks: does he have Alzheimer’s?

Unable to provide that answer at present, Kayla set off to order a battery of tests, leaving Doug and Julie alone in the exam room. “My love,” Doug promised, “I know who I am, and I know who you are. Even if I forget our names, I will never, never forget how much I love you.”

The aforementioned tests, coupled with Doug’s passing an oral exam, seemed to indicate that all was well, which was most welcome news…but how to explain Doug’s sudden groping of Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) derriere?

At Kayla’s suggestion, Doug sat down with Dr. Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) for a therapy session. With doctor/patient confidentiality firmly in place, Doug confessed that, “I’ve been insisting to Julie that I’m just fine. But, down deep, I can feel it – there is something wrong with me. I say and do strange things, and I don’t know why. I just pray that you can help me.”

Afterward, Doug had something else to get off his chest – he didn’t accidentally lock Julie in that freezer; “I locked that bitch in there on purpose! …It was the most fun I had all week.”

Furthermore, he claimed that he wasn’t really Doug. With his voice taking on a familiar, demonic tinge, the man sitting across from the good doctor chided, “It’s been over 25 years Marlena. But did you really think I wouldn’t come back for you?”

We wouldn’t presume to speak for Bill Hayes, but there is no doubt in our minds that he’s enjoying the hell out of this Days of our Lives storyline- pun VERY much intended! Kudos, and we can’t wait for whatever fiery fun comes next on DAYS…

Soap Spoilers: September 20-24/27-October 1, 2021

The Young and the Restless

Ashland comes face to face with his mysterious past, Mariah backtracks on a big decision, Nick and Phyllis put their relationship under the microscope, Jack waxes nostalgic about his life, and Victor does what he does best by taking control!

Friday, September 17:

Devon gives Amanda a sexy welcome back, Victor and Ashley worry about Abby, and Mariah makes a shocking decision that Devon and Abby never saw coming!

Mariah makes a heartbreaking decision, which can only be to part ways with her beloved “Bowie.” Will she realize that cutting the apron strings to Abby’s baby is the only way to move forward after forming such an intense attachment to the baby she protected with her life?

When Amanda surprises Devon, the possibilities run the gamut from cooking him a romantic dinner to informing him that she’s expecting his child. Chances are the true unexpected reveal will fall somewhere in between. Regardless, we can’t wait to find out!

What’s going on at the Chancellor Estate? Will Abby be left all alone to rattle around in the manse with only Dominic and his teddy bear for company? Something is off, and that “something” gives Victor and Ashley good reason to worry about their daughter. Troubles aside, we love us some Victor and Ashley scenes!

Week of September 20:

Monday, September 20:

Uh-oh… has Rey discovered that his wife has been “helping” her old flame Adam again? We suspect that may be the case when Sharon is forced to defend herself.

Well, this is rich. Chloe, who tried to kill Adam multiple times, warns Chelsea, the seasoned con artist, about Sally. All kidding aside, she’s probably alerting her offsite pal to the redhead’s burgeoning interest in her ex-husband.

When Devon and Amanda reach an important decision, will they opt to take the plunge and move in together, call it quits… or elect to start a family, seeing as the billionaire is feeling paternal, thanks to his role in Dominic’s life?

Tuesday, September 21:

Has that pesky Billy Abbott had more success digging up relics from Ashland Locke’s former life than the mogul ever would have thought possible? We have to wonder if that’s the case as Victoria’s groom-to-be confronts his past. This just happens to be the day that a figure from Locke’s past, attorney Jesse Gaines, arrives in Genoa City.

When Nick keeps Billy guessing, it can only mean that Victor’s son is still playing the role of double agent… and winning at it!

On the heels of her previous, painful decision, Mariah has a change of heart. Will the swerve spell big trouble for Abby? Or for Mariah and Tessa’s relationship? Or — ack — both? One half of “#Teriah” offers a hint at their potential future in a Soaps.com exclusive interview.

Wednesday, September 22:

It sounds like an episode chock full of delicious flashbacks with big emotions and even bigger hair as Jack reflects on his past decisions with help from family and friends. Our advice? Don’t listen to your gut, Jack. Look at where it’s led you.

Thursday, September 23:

When Billy and Lily uncover shocking information, it can only be the true hidden secret that Ashland Locke has been keeping. Will we learn he’s related to someone on the canvas or perhaps that his plan to marry Victoria and merge their companies has, in fact, all been one big revenge scheme?!

Putting in work! As Nick and Phyllis analyze their relationship, they discuss her bond with Jack. What revelations will come of the conversation… and will it solidify the couple’s feelings for one another — or cut a clear path back to Phack?

As we get ever closer to Victoria’s wedding day to the mysterious Ashland Locke, who really isn’t Ashland Locke at all, what sage advice will Nikki give her daughter? We’d suggest Victoria review her romantic history via our photo gallery and try not to repeat the same mistakes!

Friday, September 24:

When Victoria becomes suspicious of Phyllis, will she be feeling protective of her younger brother, Nick? If so, what is the redhead up to that is so concerning… and with whom? Wonder if the women will wind up making the next round of our tribute to Young & Restless’ fiercest feuds.

It sounds like Billy’s in the catbird seat when he makes someone a generous offer. But who will be the benefactor of his largesse? And will they leap at the opportunity he’s offering or tell him to go fish?

We get a sense of satisfaction just reading this: Victor takes matters into his own hands.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Hope spends time with a man other than Liam, Paris has an epiphany, which may be a good thing… or a very, very bad one, and the obsessive Sheila makes good on a warning… much to Steffy’s chagrin.

Friday, September 17:

Quinn and Carter give in to their passion, Brooke and Ridge hound Eric, and Paris fantasizes about Finn!

Finn is grateful to Paris for her support in his desire to know Sheila — and we can just guess where that will lead. Odds are he’ll show his gratitude with a hug. A shirtless hug — all the better to fuel the flames of her crush.

Shocker! Paris has a fantasy about Finn. How far will she go to make her dreams become a reality?

Week of September 20:

Monday, September 20:

After heroically resisting Eric’s suggestion that they sleep together for an entire week, Quinn and Carter give in to their passion. So congrats to all of you who had five days in the “Quarter” nookie betting pool.

After weathering Typhoon Sheila, Steffy and Finn finally reconnect… in the bedroom! Perhaps the location was key to their not being interrupted for the umpteenth time by their houseguest and Finn’s No. 1 fan, Paris.

Tuesday, September 21:

BFFs Quinn and Shauna are at it again, sharing secrets behind closed doors. This time, Shauna is understandably shocked when Quinn confesses the latest twists and turns in her love life.

Something tells us that Quinn and Carter’s undeniable (and recently rekindled) electricity will not go unnoticed at Forrester Creations when Brooke and Katie question the jewelry designer’s intentions with Eric. How long until we have to add Eric/Quinn/Carter to our countdown of the greatest Bold & Beautiful love triangles of all time?

Wednesday, September 22:

Maybe Carter and Quinn should consider holding their clandestine meetings at his loft instead of the Forrester mansion, or acting a little more aloof at work, as Eric is forced to cover for his wife to a concerned Katie. Hasn’t the poor man already done enough? We still have a feeling that [Spoiler] will be the key to him reclaiming his mojo.

Just when it was beginning to feel like Justin had disappeared entirely after offering Ridge a tempting deal, the Dressmaker gives Dollar Bill’s former right-hand man an undercover assignment.

Thursday, September 23:

There’s no Liam in sight when Hope, Thomas, and Douglas spend time together as a family. We have to wonder how this appealing picture will affect the formerly obsessed Forrester.

When Paris has an epiphany about her living arrangement with Steffy and Finn, will she decide to move out… or make the most of her close proximity to the man who checks all her boxes?!

Friday, September 24:

If Sheila isn’t careful, she could make herself the victim in a good, old-fashioned murder mystery.
