Weekly Soap Spoilers: April 18-22, 2022

The Young and the Restless

The women in the detective’s life lay their cards on their table just in time for them both to find themselves dealing with something altogether unexpected. In other developments, Ashland reveals that up his sleeve is a never-ending supply of tricks, Sally manages to raise Adam’s eyebrows, and Jack reaches out to Kyle. Gee, wonder what that could be about?

Friday, April 15:

Victoria makes a huge concession to Ashland, Billy struggles to find his voice, Lily sets Sally straight, and ‘Teriah’ seek inspiration!

Seeing as Lily was doling out a warning mere days ago, it will be interesting to see how it goes over with her when Billy goes to great lengths to help his ex-wife Victoria. Maybe this really is the right time for Cane to come back to Genoa City.

This is never good. Nick loses his cool — and there’s any number of people he might target with one of his trademark blasts. But we’re thinking that this time around, it might his sister’s ne’er do well spouse, Ashland Locke.

In the latest installment of As the Corporate World Turns, Sally makes a pitch to Lily. But what will the creative redhead be proposing? And will the new CEO of Chancellor Industries be intrigued enough to forge yet another high-profile partnership in Genoa City?

Week of April 18:

Sharon is about to relive a nightmare as Rey’s fate is revealed!

Y&R Restless Rant! Hot topics: the twists keep coming for Ashland and Victoria, Diane’s story is dragging, Rey’s trip is giving us the heebie jeebies, and Sally’s got an attachment issue!

Monday, April 18:

Mad as hell and unwilling to take it anymore, Victor backs Ashland into a corner. Unfortunately for The Mustache, his opponent has already demonstrated a remarkable ability to sneak his way out of corners.

Jack reaches out to Kyle. Perhaps because there just isn’t a greeting card to send on occasions when one’s mother has risen from the grave and bought your dead uncle’s house in hopes of befriending your newfound cousin so that your dad will encourage you not to shut down your mother like the selfish crazy person she is.

Speaking of Kyle’s Mommie Dearest, this oughta be fun: Phyllis calls Diane’s bluff. Maybe they’re gunning for a spot on our countdown of soaps’ all-time fiercest female feuds. Phyllis is on it, of course — several times — just not with Diane. Yet.

Tuesday, April 19:

Even as Victoria forces Ashland to come clean, we’ve gotta wonder how she could ever be sure anymore that she’s gotten the truth out of him, much less the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Considering that he lies as often as we refill our wine glass — in other words, a lot — we’d take anything that he says with a grain of salt. Possibly even a whole salt shaker.

Perhaps it’s the yarn that Ashland spins to Victoria that results in Nikki receiving a distress call. It is hard to imagine Victoria phoning afterwards to say, “Nothing to worry about, Mom, everything’s hunky-dory.”

Hide the sharp objects! Since Chelsea and Sharon are clearing the air, there’s every chance that knives will be thrown along with pointed remarks. On the other hand, maybe Sharon’s newfound insights as a coffee-slinging therapist will make her more understanding of the woman who’s been dreaming about her latest husband.

Hallmark blazes a new trail for itself — and viewers — with a groundbreaking love story that promises to be a real work of heart.

Wednesday, April 20:

It’s hard to imagine things getting too much worse for Victoria, yet they must, because Victor takes control to help her. Does she just need a shoulder to cry on, or does the damage that’s been done impact the Newman empire as well?

When Sharon experiences déjà vu, will it have to do with a loved one’s life hanging in the balance after a motor vehicle accident? It’s undeniably the first thing that comes to mind considering what she went through not so long ago with Faith… and with Rey traveling to a hockey game in Chicago.

Neat trick if ya can pull it off: Sally catches Adam off guard. Question is, does she do so regarding a business matter… or a personal one?

Thursday, April 21:

Victor and Nikki are stunned by Ashland’s actions. And considering the lows to which he’s willingly stooped in the past, that’s gonna be hard to do!

Nick delivers shocking news, which we’re afraid might have to do with Rey, given that he’s been living on borrowed time since Jordi Vilasuso’s exit from Young & Restless was announced.

Friday, April 22:

Ashland may think he’s still large and in charge, but Victor makes it clear that he’s larger and… um… in charger. Today, the Black Knight gives his unscrupulous son-in-law his marching orders.

She’s scarcely had time to figure out what it is yet, and already, Victoria struggles with her new normal. Maybe she can take some consolation in our photo gallery of her life story. She’s been through — and gotten over — a lot.

Adam supports Chelsea, who, if our suspicions are correct, may be mourning the loss of her crush and dear friend, Rey. Amazingly, the easy-on-the-eyes detective became her one of her staunchest supporters even after she poisoned his shower gel in a bid to frame her ex-husband Adam.

Speaking of Rey, start making your peace with the fact that his days in Genoa City are numbered by reliving all of his tumultuous storylines...

The Bold and the Beautiful

Taylor doesn’t come right out and tell Brooke, “If I wanted your opinion, I’d ask for it — and need to get my head checked,” but she might as well. The brunette lays down the law with her busybody rival. At the same time, a couple that was once too hot to handle plays with fire, Liam and Hope tempt fate by trying, in their own ways, to help Steffy, and Sheila adjusts her GPS. Where is she going? Possibly to — gulp — “a new extreme.”

Friday, April 15:

Ridge is stunned speechless when Taylor leaps to Sheila’s defense, and Steffy can’t remember the shooting.

Ridge vows to bring those responsible for hurting his family to justice. Which makes total sense. Who or what could possibly stand in his way? “Hold my beer,” says fate. In the same episode…

Taylor makes a shocking statement about Sheila to Ridge. Will she have learned that the former Genoa City resident is responsible for the recent carnage? Or, more likely, will she simply have decided that, in light of Sheila’s heartbreak and their rooftop experience, they should give her a chance after all? Any way you slice it, though, this is gonna be troooouble!

Week of April 18:

Bold and Beautiful shocker may determine Steffy’s future… and Sheila’s!

Monday, April 18:

Carter gets committed to doing the right thing, which can only mean pushing Paris to tie the knot with Zende as her mother lobbied for so fervently. Will he also sign on to perform the ceremony because — let’s be honest — the man officiates Forrester weddings like it’s his second job. Heck, maybe even his first one!

Tormented over her guilt, Sheila lashes out at Deacon. Will she take it one step further and decide to use the reformed con as a fall guy if the walls start closing in on her latest sampler platter of heinous crimes?!?

Tuesday, April 19:

Calling all “Quarter” fans! Quinn and Carter take a walk down Memory Lane… which is bound to be relatively short, given that they weren’t together for a long time. It was, however, most definitely a good time they shared. We can’t help but wonder if throwing back to their steamy past will give rise to unresolved feelings between the Forrester CFO and his boss’ wife.

Move over, Sheila! Rena Sofer will soon be ‘making havoc’ as Quinn.

When Steffy stuns Ridge and Liam with a shocking comment, will she reveal that Sheila took Finn’s life and shot her in cold blood, or will her mind-boggling remarks indicate that something almost equally concerning is afoot with her recovery?

Wednesday, April 20:

Liam steps up to help Steffy in her darkest hour, which is unlikely to go over well with the “Sinn” fans who got “Steam”-ed over flashbacks to their romance in the wake of Finn’s untimely demise.

Our suspicions may have been correct: Carter gets Quinn to make an admission about her feelings. Should we be worried about Eric? Probably not. As we well know, if his marriage to the brunette schemer falls through, Donna is waiting in the wings to pick up the proverbial pieces and stick them back together… with honey!

Bold & Beautiful star explains why a key character was conspicuously absent from Steffy’s bedside.

Thursday, April 21:

We can’t imagine why Brooke would be inserting herself into this situation, but then it’s not the first time we’ve asked ourselves that question. What could possibly be going on when Ridge and Taylor argue with the blonde about Steffy?

This sounds like a plan that could backfire spectacularly. Hope gently attempts to ease Steffy back into reality. What could possibly go wrong? Take a look at our retrospective on Hope and Steffy’s longtime rivalry and see for yourself!

Friday, April 22:

Taylor stands her ground with Brooke and Hope about Steffy’s treatment. Erm, we can’t think why the Logans would have an opinion on this… unless it involves Liam staying glued to Steffy’s bedside. D’oh.

Well, this is terrifying: Sheila’s anxiety skyrockets as it seems like her shoddily constructed house of cards is about to come crashing down around her. As we all know, the madwoman is at her diabolical worst when she’s feeling cornered — what will her next outrageous move be?!?

As Steffy walks the road to recovery, revisit highlights of her storied life...

General Hospital

The Quartermaine family has a reason to celebrate, Laura gives voice to her suspicions, Cameron and Joss hit a rough spot, and Brook Lynn is not pleased with Chase!

Week of April 11:

Jordan finds a smoking gun against Trina, Alexis grills Nikolas, and Brendan pressures Nina.

Alexis has no clue that her new gal pal, Harmony, played such a significant role in one of the most traumatic periods of her life. When they two wind up on the pier together, will Harmony finally shed a little light on the situation for Alexis?

With Scott having urged Nina to do whatever it takes if she wants to be a part of Wiley’s life, things get heated between her, Michael and Willow. How long before someone gets burned?

Ava has long been on #TeamTrina, so it’s a nice moment when the two reconnect. Meanwhile, there’s a new development in the sex tape case. Will Jordan and Dante find a breadcrumb which might lead them to Esme? And how will Nikolas react when he’s given some advice he doesn’t particularly want to hear regarding Spencer?

Laura Wright shares throwback photos that will melt your heart: “Oh, when they were little.”

Tuesday, April 12:

Due to national news coverage, the ABC soap will not be seen today and will air the original slated episode tomorrow.

When Calls the Heart preview: A secret marriage license surfaces that could spell the end for two Hope Valley favorites.

Wednesday, April 13:

Dante busts Sam, Spencer keeps his true motivations hidden, and gunmen confront Nina and Sonny.

Sasha and Brando may be newlyweds, but they still have some major (as well as basic) things to figure out about their lives moving forward.

When things get explosive between Spencer and Trina, will it be the good (as in “passions explode”) or bad type of explosion? And while Joss and Cam thought they were taking control of the narrative by going public with their story, things are about to take a turn they didn’t see coming.

Obrecht wants to know what’s going on in Britt’s love life. (Anybody else hoping that perhaps Britt is realizing that she has killer chemistry with Austin?)

When Sonny makes Phyllis an offer, will it be the proverbial kind she can’t refuse?

Tristan Rogers reveals why, in all these years, Robert and Laura never became a couple.

Thursday, April 14:

Given that Sonny’s entire family thinks Nina is basically the she-devil, it’s not surprising that the would-be couple winds up facing a crisis. Can Sonny prevent things from getting dangerously overheated?

How does Sam wind up in a compromising position… and just as importantly, with whom?

There’s more than a workout on the agenda when Brook Lynn, Chase, Austin, Maxie and Spinelli all wind up at the gym at the same time.

As Cameron and Spencer cross paths under less-than-ideal situations, Josslyn tracks down Trina.

Soap star, Chandler Massey, killed off in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ May premiere — plus, a former Chicago Med fave discovers a really old-fashioned love.

Friday, April 15:

Harmony’s struggle with Brendan sends him over a cliff, Finn suggests Liz capture her stalker on camera, and Nina gives Willow and Michael a warning.

Laura can’t help but wonder what Aiden is up to, but will he give her a straight answer?

Carly has concerns and, this being Carly, does not exactly refrain from making it clear what they are.

As Harmony’s brain is working overtime to come up with a new plan, Michael and Willow have a chance to tell their side of the story.

Chase is enjoying a nice hot shower when he has to interrupt it to take an important call. (What, you don’t think a half-naked, dripping-wet Chase is worthy of a spoiler?)

Cameron Mathison’s wife has been cast as a character who’ll have a profound effect on Drew’s life.

Week of April 18:

GH Soapbox: He still has a long way to go, but Spencer is slowly redeeming himself, giving ‘Sprina’ fans hope, but why can’t Chase and Brook Lynn get it together?

Monday, April 18:

Britt is about to play matchmaker and with Brad helping her, what could possibly go wrong?

As the search for answers regarding Luke’s death — which we’re still pretty convinced was really a “death” — continues, Anna fills Robert and Laura in on what she’s discovered.

There’s a bit of tension at the hospital when Portia and Elizabeth clash. Guess with one’s kid accused of releasing a sex tape starring the other’s, this was inevitable!

What is Curtis busy mulling over when Jordan finds him at the pier?

Alexis catches up with Finn, which makes this the perfect time for her to confide in him.

Tuesday, April 19:

It looks like once again, Drew is stepping into Jason’s shoes. This time, he’s there to talk with Michael as they go a few rounds at the gym.

The women in Curtis’ life — meaning new love Portia and ex-wife Jordan — find themselves on opposite ends of a conversation.

Alexis is horrified by what she discovers at the pier.

Harmony and Willow might just find they have more in common than they’d initially thought.

For what is Valentin apologizing to Anna?

There was a time when Britt and Spencer were very close. Will the talk they have today prove that they still share a common bond?

Wednesday, April 20:

Harmony’s been keeping a secret (or two) for a very long time. But today, she comes very close to revealing one of those truths.

Nina and Ava are usually on the same page, but today Sonny’s girlfriend issues a word of warning to Avery’s mom.

Laura shares her latest suspicions.

Sonny’s been a little distracted of late, so it’s easy to imagine others making a move. But he’s about to make it clear that when it comes to his territory, he’s large and in charge.

Is Nikolas really falling for Esme’s innocent act? It would appear so when he offers her some helpful advice.

Cameron’s words come back to bite him when Joss wants to know exactly what he meant by them!

Thursday, April 21:

Surveillance is anything but boring when Chase finds himself caught off guard.

For young guys, Cameron and Spencer have an awful lot of issues. The friends find time to compare notes and maybe offer one another advice.

While waiting for her date, Britt is in the right place to overhear someone else’s conversation.

It’s been a long time since Maxie and Spinelli were a couple, so it makes sense that they might have an awkward moment or two.

Curtis lets someone know that their bill has come due and he wants to be paid in full.

Friday, April 22:

As Ned’s adoption of Leo becomes official, the Quartermaine family and their friends gather together for a celebration.
