Days of our Lives Star Melissa Reeves Shares Some Joyful News

Melissa Reeves has been away from her Days of our Lives family for quite some time. However, her own personal clan keeps getting bigger!

Melissa Reeves Announces A New Family Addition

Melissa Reeves is set to re-appear on Days of our Lives later this year. But she’s got one more reason to hurry back home. The fan-favorite recently announced on Instagram a new addition to the Reeves family. Scott (ex-Ryan McNeil, The Young and the Restless) and Melissa Reeves’ daughter Olivia and son-in-law Steven Smith have welcomed their second child.

“Wyatt Scott Smith is here,” Reeves posted on Instagram followed by four blue heart emojis, “this little guy was born at 8:08 p.m. Weighing in at 8 lbs. 15 oz.!!!!!!! 21” long! We are all so in love, thank you all for your lovely words and prayers for our children. Our hearts are so full and grateful papaG [Scott’s nickname] and I now have the three musketeers and we are ecstatic!!!!”

The Reeveses became grandparents not once but twice in the summer of 2020 when Emily and Steven welcomed Woods McClain Smith, and next, their son Larry and his wife Olivia welcomed their son Lawrence Levi into the world.

Melissa Reeves Soap Opera Origins

Melissa Reeves joined the soap opera world as Jade Perkins on Santa Barbara in 1984. The Perkins clan was phased out shortly thereafter, which turned out to be the best thing for Reeves. She soon joined the cast of DAYS as Jennifer Rose Horton, the daughter of Bill (Ed Mallory) and Laura Horton (Jaime Lyn Bauer). Scott Reeves briefly played the part of Jake Hogansen on DAYS. He joined the cast of Y&R in 1991 as Ryan and remained on that show for about a decade. He also played the part of Dr. Steven Lars Webber on General Hospital.

WE wish the very best to the entire Reeves/Smith family.
