The Days of our Lives recaps for July 12 – July 16, 2021, feature Eric Brady making a most welcome return, Chanel Dupree getting left out in the cold, Ciara Brady Weston hitting her hubby where it hurts, and Xander Cook doing Sami Brady DiMera’s dirty work for her.
Days of our Lives Recaps Highlight
Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker) spends the majority of what is her and Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) first wedding anniversary lamenting that she’s all alone and that no one has remembered the special occasion. She is later thrilled to find that Eric has snuck into their apartment.
DAYS Recaps: Three’s A Crowd
Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) confessed to Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) that she might have romantic feelings for her – and when Allie expresses a similar emotion, Chanel suggested that perhaps Allie should break up with Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams).
Instead, Allie tells Tripp about her and Chanel’s second kiss, then takes him to bed – an act that Chanel witnesses. In response, Chanel leaves the apartment and makes a play for Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson). He pulls away and reveals that he’s engaged to Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal).
DOOL Recaps: Proposals A Plenty
Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) surprised Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) by confiding her plan to propose to Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) and then asking Kayla to serve as her matron of honor. Bonnie was devastated when she popped the question and Justin said no, but he explained that he’d merely done so because he wanted to propose to her. Though not particularly thrilled over Bonnie’s ask of Kayla, Justin doesn’t persuade her otherwise.
Days of our Lives Recaps: Demolition Derby
Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) attempted to make amends with Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers), but was soundly rebuked. Upon running into Chanel, Paulina offered to make her dreams of opening a bakery a reality by housing it inside Price Town; Chanel rejected the offer and fled.
DAYS Recaps: Save The Date
Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara both implored Justin to represent their interests; he turned both parties down. Undaunted Ciara suggests to Theo that they expedite their wedding to the following Thursday – the day that will mark her and Ben’s first anniversary as husband and wife.
Days of our Lives Recaps: Delinquent Daughter
A suspicious Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) implored his brother Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) to investigate what role his daughter, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), and Xander (Paul Telfer) may have played in Dr. Snyder’s (Michael Lowry) death.
A contentious confrontation had between Gwen and Xander gave way to passion, but their ardor was quickly tempered by Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). After taking a good look at Dr. Snyder’s obituary photo, Julie realized that he was the same man she’d stumbled upon splayed out on the living room couch; she shared her story with grandson Eli Grant (Lamon Archey). Eli sharply questioned Gwen, and she threw Xander under the bus.
DAYS Recaps: Scheme Teams
Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) takes Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) aside and tells him all about the affair that he and Sami (Alison Sweeney) conducted behind EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) back, and of the revelatory letter that he now possesses. Philip suggested his brother anonymously send EJ the document.
Meanwhile, Sami offers Xander one million dollars in exchange for confessing, on tape, that he slept with Nicole. However, once she learns that Eric is back in Salem, Sami changes the terms of the deal: Xander must make his confession in person – the more public, the better. Xander agreed, but an altercation with Eli, and his subsequent arrest complicated Sami’s best-laid plan.
DOOL Recaps: Party Foul
Eric and Nicole decided to host an impromptu anniversary party at the Brady Pub; the festivities were marred by Xander’s intrusion and his claim that Nicole had been unfaithful to Eric during his absence.
