Soap Spoilers: July 12-16, 2021

The Young and the Restless

Elena’s rolled over by a third wheel, Sally gets a taste of her own medicine, a certain blonde gives Adam a reality check (better late than never?), and Ashland and Victoria make a stunning announcement!

Friday, July 9:

Nick gets a sexy surprise after a bittersweet farewell with Summer, and Chelsea makes a huge request of Adam.

The Abbotts extend a warm welcome, we assume to Tara and Harrison, but we can’t help but worry that the warm-fuzzies won’t last long if Mrs. Locke is part of a plot that will leave the family devastated.

Given that we know Chelsea has it in her head to escape the facility and make a break for it, we suspect her “big ask” will be a move to help set her plan in motion. Will she once again convince best friend Chloe to go out on a limb?

Nick’s been in Italy with his “Supergirl” for a while now. So we can only imagine the waterworks when the time finally comes to say goodbye. Our waterworks, we mean — although sure, they’ll probably shed a tear or 20, too.

Week of July 12:

Y&R Restless Rant! Hot topics include Ashtoria’s big announcement, missing Mariah, messy Imani, Chelsea’s wacky story turn, and Skyle exits.

Ashland has a big announcement and Victor is furious with Nikki.

Monday, July 12:

Who will be in the line of fire when Victor lays down the law? Whoever the unlucky soul is, we hope they take him seriously because the Mustache is as ruthless as ever. Just ask Ashland Locke, who barely made it off the ranch alive when he tried to cross Genoa City’s most merciless mogul!

When Sharon gives Adam a reality check, will she be setting some new boundaries between them? After all, now that Shadam will be crossing paths regularly as neighbors on the ranch, those old feelings — and issues with Rey — are bound to crop up.

When Kyle and Tara’s day in the park takes a turn, will the co-parents and old flames finally share the kiss that Harrison’s mom has fantasized about?

Young & Restless surprise: The wacky way Chelsea’s being written out for Melissa Claire Egan’s maternity leave!

Tuesday, July 13:

When Nate and Elena fend off a third wheel, we can’t help but suspect that it will be pot-stirring Imani, who has made little secret of her interest in the fine-looking doctor and Internet celeb.

Will Rey be removed from Chelsea’s case when he gets a new assignment? There’s no denying that it was weird as heck that he was investigating his own poisoning in the first place. Only on a soap!

Chelsea’s dreams come true, which we have a sneaking suspicion means that she’s managed to extricate herself from the mental facility. Will Connor be by her side?

Wednesday, July 14:

Sally is stung by betrayal, and the only person who knows about her plot to boot Summer from Genoa City is Tara. Will she bust the redhead at risk to herself, or will the comeuppance come from across the pond if Summer gets confirmation that Sally conspired to land her the position at Marchetti?

Billy comes clean with Jack, but is it too little, too late? The elder Abbott’s been exhausted with his younger brother’s shtick for a while now.

We can hardly wait! When Victoria and Ashland make a shocking announcement, will it be a merger to rock the business world or the joining of their two worlds on a more personal level? Would these two crazy kids really run off and get married? Imagine Billy’s reaction if he were to learn he not only lost his ex to Ashland but his bid to buy Locke Communications — again!

Thursday, July 15:

When the tension ramps up for Abby and Tessa will it have to do with a certain redhead’s disappearing act? We hope we’re wrong, but suspect that Mariah might be in danger?

Phyllis and Tara play nice. Wait, what?!? That actually sounds weirdly ominous. After all, we’ve seen Phyllis circle her prey like this in the past — all sweetness and light. Look out, Mrs. Locke!

Sharon is reunited with an old friend, and while we’d love if it was Drucilla who climbed back up that hill she fell off so long ago, chances are it’s likely to be someone a little less shocking.

Friday, July 16:

Locke’d and loaded! When old flames Billy and Phyllis join forces, will Tara and Ashland be their targets? And could it possibly stir passions we thought had cooled ages ago?

Since Nikki supports Victoria today, it suggests her daughter has had a letdown. Is it possible we were right about Ashland orchestrating a grand revenge scheme?

When Amanda asks Victor for help, will the mogul have the resources required to get her the answers she needs to close the case on her father’s death once and for all? If anyone should, it should be him, right? Just consider the feats he’s pulled off — and plots he’s hatched — in his years in Genoa City...

The Bold and the Beautiful

Hope becomes embroiled in a race against time, Eric’s ultimatum drops Carter between a rock and… well, his boss’ sexy estranged wife, and Bill’s reaction to Justin’s disloyalty prompts the lawyer to do the unthinkable. Or at least what should be unthinkable given that he threw Thomas in a cage!

Hot Topics: While Hope was busy rescuing Thomas, we needed someone to find out what was happening with Quinn and Carter. Plus, why Justin might be the worst attorney on the planet.

Friday, July 9:

Justin has a change of heart, Thomas finally gets to share his story and it’s moving day for Liam.

Hope is stunned when Thomas informs her that Liam is innocent in Vinny’s death. But will she be able to put the information to good use or will Justin get to them first?!

Ironically, just as Hope discovers that there is proof that her husband was set up by Vinny, Lt. Baker notifies a devastated Liam that he’s being transferred to a permanent prison.

Week of July 12:

Monday, July 12:

So not over it! Eric remains shocked and angered by Quinn and Carter’s betrayal. When he’s finally ready to move on, will it be with one of these Bold & Beautiful blondes?

As Hope races against the clock to free Liam, watch for The Price is Right model, and ex-NFL player Devin Goda, who will be playing the not-gonna-lie-kinda-hot prison guard escorting our faint-hearted hero.

Tuesday, July 13:

Well, that was fast… Liam and Hope are joyfully reunited, and we presume all charges against the softest Spencer will be dropped just as quickly. After all, he really, most sincerely didn’t want to see Poor Dead Vinny wind up poor and dead.

When Eric makes a stunning and unexpected demand of Carter, will he expect his guilt-ridden COO to stay away from Quinn in return for keeping his job, or will he ask the exec to resign? Now that would be astonishing!

Wednesday, July 14:

Will Liam finally be rendered speechless? After all the distrust and condescension, he learns that none other than Thomas is his hero. Could this be the beginning of a beautiful — and highly unlikely — friendship?

Eek! Bill and Justin blow up over the latter’s attempt to pull off a hostile takeover of Spencer Publications. We know this is gonna get ugly, but at the end of it all, will Bill finally have an epiphany about his mistreatment of his right-hand man?

Thursday, July 15:

As Dollar Bill attempts to process Justin’s duplicity and disloyalty, will the legal eagle be able to hang onto his job? More importantly, will he want to?

When Carter tells Quinn about the conditions Eric set forth for him, will it set up a scenario in which the former lovers are forced to sneak around in order to maintain contact? ’Cause that sounds like hot, hot fun!

We still can’t get over how ho-hum Zoe’s farewell turned out to be.

Friday, July 16:

He’s got nerve, we’ll give him that! Justin approaches Ridge with an offer of an alliance, which we’re assuming will take a fair bit of convincing, given that the conniver just held the designer’s son captive in a cage for days on end.

“Quarter” for your thoughts? Carter and Quinn’s mutual lust for one another is palpable, so we’ll assume it’s only a matter of time before they once again give in to passion.

Things are looking up for Hope at the moment. But can it last?

General Hospital

Sam suspects things aren’t what they seem where Jason’s concerned, Anna finds herself having to deal with her complicated relationships, and several locals come together with a common goal in mind.

Week of July 5:

Carly and Jason move forward with their plans to marry, while others react, including Liz and Sam who play with fire!

GH opinion: Carly and Jason’s engagement surprised no one, while Anna and Valentin’s off-the-charts chemistry won the week.

Monday, July 5:

Spencer’s back, and playing games, Britt and Jax hook up, and Molly has a plan to help her mother.

Nina does what she can to help Curtis, while Molly and TJ swing by the prison to visit Shawn.

What brings Dante to Ava’s art gallery? (We’re 99 percent sure he’s not looking to purchase one of the cool paintings we’ve long admired… )

At long last, Joss and Cameron have the conversation they’ve needed to have for a while. It won’t be easy, but once they’ve cleared the air, can they maybe get back to being the cutest things on TV and inching toward the relationship we’ve been wanting for ages?

Britt and Jax cross paths at Charlie’s. Meanwhile, Molly and TJ — who have been spending an awful lot of time driving back and forth to Pentonville! — head out to see Shawn again.

First-look photo: Did Cameron Mathison just clue us in to who he’ll be playing? “Here we go, see you soon, Port Charles!”

Tuesday, July 6:

Liz and Sam do shots and set things on fire after learning Jason and Carly are engaged. Plus, Trina runs into “Victor” again, and Anna and Valentin celebrate the Fourth of July together.

Will sparks fly when Jax and Britt decide they should make plans to watch the fireworks together?

Cameron’s been making the rounds and apologizing of late. While Jason easily accepted, will Jake be as quick to forgive?

Brook Lynn and Maxie’s ill-conceived plan has made them reluctant co-conspirators, but today, BLQ seems pretty unhappy with the woman whose child she is raising.

Liz and Sam wind up in a bit of trouble. Together? This should be interesting!

When Anna and Valentin get caught up in a moment, will it end quickly or turn into something more?

Wednesday, July 7:

Dante kisses Sam, Britt tells Jason to go to hell, and Anna backs away from Valentin.

What has Obrecht nursing a broken heart?

Monica has words of caution for Brook Lynn.

It’s been really tough watching Joss and Cameron work through their differences but it looks as if they are, at last, ready to start again.

When Phyllis urges Mike to visit Nina, will he really make the trip to Port Charles? Plus, did Maurice Benard accidentally reveal that [spoiler] is back?

Thursday, July 8:

Molly and Martin set up Judge Carson, Nikolas agrees to do as Ava wishes, and Trina and “Victor” get to know each other.

Curtis and Jordan get together, but given that the resulting meeting is described as “confrontational” it’s probably not about a reconciliation.

Molly takes the kind of meeting that can change a young person’s life.

During her darkest days, when all she wanted to do was drink, Alexis told people to leave her alone. But now, she finds herself struggling with being really, truly alone in solitary confinement.

TJ, you should probably just tell Stella what she wants to know, because she’s not going to quit prodding until you do!

Does Ava have good reason to be worried about Trina?

Laura Wright (Carly) and Wes Ramsey (ex-Peter) make ‘adulting’ look fun — wait, that’s possible?!? — on a visit to his hometown!

Friday, July 9:

Jordan steps in at Pentonville when things get out of hand, Austin gets a job at the hospital, and Monica throws a wrench into Liz and Finn’s plan.

Jason definitely was not expecting Monica to be particularly understanding of his current circumstances, but she manages to surprise him. (Perhaps he’s forgotten that over her time in Port Charles, Monica’s seen, done, heard and said it all!)

Ready for some entertainment? Then sit back and watch as Carly tries to reason with Britt. Talk about an unstoppable force and an immoveable object… and we’re not sure which of them is which!

Molly and TJ await news about their loved ones.

Curtis accuses Stella of being downright manipulative. (We hope he doesn’t think that’s news to anyone!)

Terry hopes that Portia will be there to offer her support.

Week of July 12:

GH Opinion: We’re digging Spencer and Trina together, but we really want to see young Cassadine reconnect with his family. Plus, ‘Nava’ pulled at the heartstrings, but something’s missing with one new pairing.

Monday, July 12:

Remember when soon after we met Austin, he seemed curious about the Michael Corinthos wing at General Hospital? Well, we may find out why he was so interested when the newbie approaches Carly for info about the facility.

Britt and Obrecht may have one of daytime’s more complicated mother/daughter relationships, but they manage to come to an understanding today.

Sam can’t help but worry about her mother’s well-being.

What will be the No. 1 item on the agenda when Jordan, Shawn and TJ have a family discussion?

When Curtis feels apologetic, will he be able to earn forgiveness?

Tuesday, July 13:

Nikolas has had a rough time of it, but Laura — proving a boy’s best friend is his mother — will do her best to bolster his spirits. Meanwhile, Trina jumps to the defense of her mentor, Ava.

Sonny finds himself waiting for very important news.

Maxie finds herself in need of advice. Will Nina be able to provide it?

It seems that Scott’s got a very big announcement to share.

Wednesday, July 14:

Monica receives a bit of news that she can’t help but find downright intriguing.

Brook Lynn’s been struggling to keep her very big secret under wraps, and so far, she’s managed to do it pretty well. So why is she suddenly concerned that the truth might come to light?

Anna and Finn may no longer be together, but they also never really got closure. Today, they try and navigate their extremely complicated relationship.

As Nikolas finds himself unexpectedly surprised, Laura does what she can to reassure Ava that everything’s going to be fine.

Thursday, July 15:

Brook Lynn isn’t necessarily in the market for surprises these days, but she’s about to get one, courtesy of Nina.

Yesterday, Anna was trying to figure out where she and Finn stand. Today, she’ll be doing a similar dance… but this time, partnered with Valentin.

As Sonny waits for Lenny to return, Carly has a verbal altercation with Gladys. (Let’s face it… smart money’s on Carly in that particular battle. Gladys doesn’t stand a chance!)

Things between Curtis and Portia have been tense lately… and it’s time for them to address that fact.

Friday, July 16:

Some would say nobody knows Jason better than does Sam. (Carly would, of course, disagree). When Sam questions her ex-husband’s motives, will he open up to her?

Phyllis is feeling very protective of Nina, and issues a warning with that in mind.

Brando’s been struggling with Sasha’s hesitancy where their relationship is concerned. But today, he gets a better understanding as to where it comes from.

Maxie finds herself in need of a favor. At the same time, Ned, Brook Lynn and Michael present a united front in order to achieve a common goal.

DVR alert! The new Hallmark murder mystery reteaming Days Alison Sweeney (Sami) and General Hospital’s Cameron Mathison now has an airdate — and sweet revenge in store!
