Days of our Lives star Bryan Dattilo, who plays Lucas Horton on the NBC soap, will celebrate his 10th anniversary with wife Elizabeth Cameron on July 12 — and the couple has some good news to celebrate this year.
Bryan Dattilo Shares an Important Update
On his Instagram account, Dattilo revealed that Elizabeth has reached an important milestone in her cancer treatment. “Go ahead honey. Ring that bell. You deserve it!,” he wrote, adding an image of Cameron next to the bell on the wall of the hospital, signifying her completion of treatments. “U finished your breast cancer treatment! So proud!”
Among Dattilo’s castmates who reacted to the happy news were Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady DiMera), Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope Williams Brady), Brandon Barash (Jake DiMera), and Martha Madison (Belle Black), who fittingly called her, “Warrior!”
Cameron was diagnosed earlier this year and though Dattilo hasn’t shared much of what she’s been going through, he did post an update when he marked another important occasion back in May. “Happy birthday to my strong and beautiful wife,” he posted to Instagram at the time. “Just finished her last round of chemo. I love you and your courage.”
We at Soap Hub congratulate Elizabeth and Bryan on both the end of her treatments and their upcoming 10th anniversary and wish the couple a healthy and happy future together.
Datillo has been part of the Days of our Lives canvas on and off since 1993 and Lucas Horton returned to Salem full-time again last year to the delight of the show’s fans. With Lucas once again mixing it up with Sami, the chemistry between the actor and Sweeney is as strong as ever, and there’s still plenty of life left in their story.
Now that Lucas is a grandfather again, he’s going to do everything he can to protect Allie Horton, her son, and his family. And Dattilo has some real-life experience to guide him, with his son Gabe recently becoming a dad. Fans are excited to see where Lucas’s story goes next.
