Some may argue that a soap opera is only as good as its best villain, and for a time, DAYS had a boffo baddie in Nick Fallon. Nick was played to maniacal perfection by Blake Berris, but like all good things, his time onscreen came to and end…until it didn’t.
For his delicious turn as a undead agent of chaos, Soap Hub names DAYS guest star Blake Berris Performer of the Week.
Blake Berris – Performer of the Week
During his (all too brief) sojourn topside, Berris’ alter ego quoted Shakespeare – “If it were done when ’tis done, then ’twere well. It were done quickly” – rattle off some beloved idioms – “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again” and “Third times the charm” – and delight in his favorite past time – torturing Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus)
(He also proved that some things never change. Nick may be a smart fella, but he’s also such a dodo that he when presented with two words – Greek and God – he couldn’t quite deduce which one the Devil preferred to never have uttered in its presence.)
According to Gabi, Nick’s resurrection was her worst nightmare come to life…but having Blake Berris back on the DAYS canvas was a dream come true. Here’s hoping that MarDevil will find another suitable use for Mr. Fallon in the near future.
Honorable Mention: Lindsay Arnold
Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) may have been the one to deliver the blow that incapacitated Zombie Charlie Dale (Mike Manning), but it was Lindsay Arnold’s Allie Horton who first introduced the reprobates skull to a frying pan! In her scenes, Arnold confidently steered Allie through a gamut of emotions ranging from abject terror to steely determination to never again be a victim. Kudos to the young actress for delivering the goods.
