DiMera (Brandon Barash) woke up while the doc was in the middle of trying to make some changes to his memories. Ever the gentleman, Stefan O. managed to catch her before she hit the ground.

Y&R Spoilers Weekly Update: Return To The Dark Side & Unsettling News

Y&R spoilers weekly update for August 29 – September 2, 2022, tease that the week ahead is full of a return to the dark side for one notorious black sheep and some unsettling news from one of Genoa City’s finest. Tune in next week so you can catch all of the action in Genoa City!

Y&R Spoilers Weekly Recap

Things got wild and crazy in Genoa City this week when Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) had Kevin Fisher’s (Greg Rikaart) GCPD laptop stolen. Of course, Adam tried to use that information to exact revenge on his father — one Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Adam also tried to use Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to do his dirty work, but she declined.

Speaking of dirty work, Summer Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) continued trying to navigate working with their mothers, who are sworn enemies. Since neither Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) nor Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) did anything their kids knew about, Kyle and Summer agreed to try to just enjoy their life together without all the worry…probably a bad move, kids. Also, Phyllis signed the paperwork to officially sell The Grand Phoenix to Chancellor-Winters — it’s truly the end of an era.

The Young and the Restless Week Ahead

Coming up, expect to see Adam turn entirely to the dark side. Old Adam Newman is back with a vengeance, and it seems as if nobody is safe from his vengeful ways. Victor tries to deal with his son’s dark side, but it’s unclear if this might actually be the time that he gets through to his son.

Also, expect to see Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) make a shocking decision, and that just might have something to do with the unsettling news that his son, Kyle, receives from him before the end of the week. Could it have something to do with Allie Nguyen’s (Kelsey Wang) past? Perhaps, and she’ll open up about it to Noah Newman (Rory Gibson). Check out the daily breakdown below to find out more about what’s happening next on The Young and the Restless.

The Young and the Restless Favorite Daniel Goddard Celebrated His Birthday

The Young and the Restless’ Cane Ashby might have left Genoa City under a cloud of distrust, but he did manage to make good by helping to track down his career criminal father – a fact that all in GC celebrated. And actor Daniel Goddard had his own special moment to celebrate.

Happy Birthday, Daniel Goddard

And that’s because he was born on August 28, 1971, in Sydney, Australia, which means that this certified fan-favorite turned 51 years old! Though he planned to earn a degree in finance, Goddard couldn’t resist acting’s siren song.

He transferred his studies to the Ensemble Actors Studio and after appearing in several theatrical productions, Goddard landed his first television role: Eric Phillips on Home and Away.

After receiving acclaim for his work, Goddard emigrated to the U.S. where he was quickly discovered by modeling scouts. Ad campaigns for Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana followed and Goddard eventually found himself cast in the lead role of Dar on the syndicated primetime series Beastmaster.

The program aired for three seasons between 1999 and 2002 and upon its completion Goddard began guest-starring in series such as Wild Card and Monk, and appearing in made-for-TV movies like South Pacific and Lightspeed.

In 2007, he was hired by producers at YR to play Cane Ashby and, eventually, his identical twin brother Caleb Atkinson. The role lasted until the winter of 2020. Goddard’s other acting credits include the feature films Dream Warrior, Age of Kali, and Immortally Yours.

Goddard has been married to Rachel Marcus since February 3, 2002. Together the couple has two sons: Ford (born February 2006) and Sebastian William (born December 2008). Goddard became an official American citizen on June 5, 2020

A Critic’s Review Of Days of our Lives: Reality Check List

When it comes to Days of our Lives, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the Days of our Lives week that was.

Days of our Lives: A Critic’s Week In Review

So, Orpheus (George DelHoyo) engineered a pardon for himself and several other Salem baddies all so he could get out and immediately re-offend? And he not only commits a major offense, but it’s a carbon copy of one of the many offenses he previously committed. Isn’t Orpheus supposed to be smart?

Here was me thinking that we’d get months and months of Orpheus playing mind games with Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) until one or both of them snapped and came after him and then he’d have actual legal recourse to strike back. (And yes, I know that I just cribbed the Batman pilot episode; sue me!)

Then again, what do I really know? For weeks I’ve been under the impression that Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) was underneath the DiMera manse, but apparently, it’s far enough away that you need a car to get from Point A to Point B.

I also didn’t think that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) was the kind of man who’d jump into bed with a woman that he hardly knows, but Days of our Lives put me straight. I’d say that it was totally out of character, but I’d probably be outvoted by Ron and co. and they are the ones in charge after all.

Further DAYS Musings

* Kudos to Days of our Lives for remembering the Marlena clones. I have no doubt that that was courtesy of Jamey Giddens.

* Given that Nick Fallon was dead one minute and alive and kicking the next, and that Will Horton was supposedly throttled into the great hereafter, why was Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) so quick to dismiss Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) claim that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) had come-a-calling?

A Critic’s Review Of The Young and the Restless: Befuddled And Confused

When it comes to The Young and the Restless, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of Y&R’s week that was.

The Young and the Restless: A Critic’s Week In Review

What exactly is Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) master plan? Because if it’s merely seeing to it that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is arrested for perverting the course of justice (or whatever the charge may be; I’m a proud soap journalist, not a lawyer) what does that really accomplish?

Victor may be gone from his life, but Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will still be CEO of Newman Enterprises – not for nothing, but she’s the most innocent of everyone involved in this coverup – and Adam will still be jobless. Oh, and a complete pariah.

So who exactly wins here?

I’m equally befuddled by ‘Operation Screw Over Diane Jenkins.’ Summer Newman has (Allison Lainer) practically rumbled what her mother and grandmother are up to, so when Talia Morgan’s (Special Guest Star Natalie Morales) exposé is published, there will be no question as to who’s responsible.

Also, why would Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) actually part with The Grand Phoenix?

And here’s another story point that I’ve yet to crack: why is Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) going out of his way to prove Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) right? I would think that after Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) called him out on his attitude and obvious bias, Devon would at least try to curb it. Why make him look so damn petty?

I don’t ask for much when it comes to The Young and the Restless, but I would ask Josh Griffith and co. to at least make it make sense The Young and the Restless!

Further Y&R Musings

* Is it just me or does it seem like The Young and the Restless has no idea what to do with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan)? For a time, it seemed as though the soap were chemistry testing her opposite anything in trousers, and now it seems to be hedging its bets on whether they go whole hog and attempt a Chelsea/Billy/Lily triangle or maybe re-couple her with Adam. Then again, she’s soon to cross paths with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd)…

And speaking of Chance, what’s with his, “I like things to be either black or white,” mentality? Didn’t he readily cover up a murder that Adam committed in order to save Chance’s life? Where was his boy scout outlook then?

A Critic’s Review Of The Bold and the Beautiful: Questions Abound

When it comes to The Bold and the Beautiful, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of B&B’s week that was.

The Bold and the Beautiful: A Critic’s Week In Review

There was so much wrong with this week’s The Bold and the Beautiful, it’s tough to know where to begin.

I suppose that the most obvious starting point is Brooke Logan Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) shunning by the Forresters making merry at Eric Forrester’s (John McCook).

For years, no DECADES The Bold and the Beautiful has hammered home the fact that Brooke is Eric’s person. He took her side over Stephanie’s, Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye), and Quinn Fuller Forrester’s (Rena Sofer), and all most always to his detriment. And let’s not forget that she is the mother of two of his children. There’s no way that Eric wouldn’t have invited her to his shindig.

I’d also like to express my deep disappointment in Bradley Bell’s insistence on reviving the cliched and exhausting Forresters vs Logan mentality, and what I’m seriously perceiving to be an attack on family units not made up of blood relations.

While that may seem extreme to some, what else am I supposed to think when you have world-renowned psychiatrist Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) delivering lines like, “It’s time for Douglas to return to his real family,” as opposed to…what? His “fictitious” family with his adoptive mother and stepfather?

Adding insult to injury is the fact that Ridge and his offspring aren’t really Forresters, at least according to biology; they’re Marones.

If only The Bold and the Beautiful writers would ascribe to the belief that, “family is what you make of it.”

Further B&B Musings

* Given that The Bold and the Beautiful isn’t exactly a show known for remembering its canon, it sure was nice to hear the laundry list that was Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) curriculum vitae.

* How, exactly, has Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) bettered himself? He’s received no mental health aid aside from those occasional video calls with his mother when she was stationed overseas. He’s yet to take any responsibility for any of the crimes that he’s committed – and they are legion. He’s made little effort to actually provide a home for himself and his son – and no, moving in with Eric doesn’t count. And he couldn’t even be honest with Douglas (Django Ferri) about the circumstances of his new living arrangement; Eric didn’t ask him to move in, it was the other way around, buddy.

* While I appreciate The Bold and the Beautiful providing something that, at first glance looks like an answer to the long-held question – how is Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) providing for herself? – I now require an actual explanation for where her cash flow originates.

A Critic’s Review Of General Hospital: The ‘What Could-Have-Beens’

When it comes to General Hospital, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the GH week that was.

General Hospital: A Critic’s Week In Review

Congratulations Dan and Chris/Chris and Dan, your goal of completely and utterly ruining Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) has been achieved.

I can also see that you’ve set your sights on tarnishing the memory of Dominique Stanton Baldwin, but I’ve yet to understand the purpose for doing so. To prop new hire Josh Kelly? To give Mac Scorpio (John J. York) a storyline that no true General Hospital fan wants to see?

I’d also complain about Scott Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) seeming disregard for a person who may very well be the son of his late, “great love” but many a headwriter prior to Chris and Dan/Dan and Chris saw fit to adopt the narrative that Dominique was a mere placeholder for Laura Collins (Genie Francis), the supposed “one” that Scott had forever and would forever love.

Further GH Musings

* FINALLY some forward momentum for some of General Hospital’s nascent couples. Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) laid it all on the line, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) got real and real honest with one another, and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) have decided to blend their families.

That said, I can’t help but be far more intrigued by the teased could-have-beens. Brook Lynn and Dante? I saw far more chemistry between them in their brief interaction than all the ‘Sante’ scenes combined. Sam and Drew? Yes, please! I’ve been calling for these two to couple up since Monaco and Mathison shared their first together.

Also, Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi) and Terry Randolph (Cassandra James)? Why can’t Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) have anything nice?!

* General Hospital’s Line of the Week:

Sonny (to Michael): If you ever do that again, it will be the last time you close a door!

* Given that it won’t be much of a mystery, as the perpetrator is either Mason (Nathanyael Grey) – a living Chekhov’s gun – or an equally disposable character like Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) or Ryan Chamberlin (Jon Lindstrom), what exactly is the point of the ‘Who Hooked Ava’ storyline?

And not for nothing, but shouldn’t they have saved this I Know What You Did Last Summer pastiche for October?

* While the Hamilton Finn/Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), “ill-conceived and not working from the start,” I do find fault with her opinion that Finn (Michael Easton) is, “emotionally abusive” to Liz and a misogynist who does nothing but mans-plain.

All Finn has wanted to do, all he wants to do is ensure that Liz is mentally sound. Liz is a woman with two young children in her charge whom she could be a real danger to given that she’s already assaulted Chase and committed an act of arson, and rather than woman up and get the help she so obviously needs, she wants to ignore the rapidly escalating problem.

What is Finn supposed to do? Wait till Liz kills someone or herself? Then would it be appropriate for him to intervene?

* Wow, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) is really on the ball as of late. First, she deduced Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) plan to awaken Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) from his coma, and now, she’s put two and two together and come up with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) daughter. Well done, Commish. If only she could apply that reasoning to actually solving a pressing crime or two.

Soap Hub Performer of the Week for Y&R: Courtney Hope

The Young and the Restless viewers know that Sally Spectra will do whatever it takes to get ahead. She came from humble beginnings, and she’s working hard to claw her way to the top. For her performance, Soap Hub Performer of the Week honors for Y&R is presented to Sally’s portrayer, Courtney Hope.

Courtney Hope — Y&R Performer of the Week

Things have been rough for Sally personally as of late, but her professional life is on the upswing. This week, Sally interacted with many people, and her portrayer knocked the variety of scenes straight out of the park.

From the careful body language when Sally and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) talked, devolving into trading barbs, to her excellent facial expressions when Sally, at long last, got the truth from Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Courtney Hope brought her A game to her on-screen to alter ego this week. She showed that Sally can hang with the Newmans, matching anything they lob at her. Her deferential but confident attitude with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) was made perfect through Hope’s use of tone combined with her movements. Plus, she showed plenty of growth for Sally when she so confidently called Adam on his BS.

It was also enjoyable to watch Hope’s Sally build a rapport with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) through softened body language, tone of voice, and facial expressions. It’s clear that these two are growing closer, and the actress used far more than the words she said to help build the layers of what might be growing there.

We also appreciated seeing Sally and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) interact. There was no nonsense going on between these two, and it was enjoyable to watch their friendship grow because girlfriends are something Sally’s been missing for a while. Bravo, Courtney Hope, on an excellent performance!

Soap Hub Performer of the Week for B&B: Katherine Kelly Lang

Katherine Kelly Lang has always shined when her character on The Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke Logan Forrester, fights opponents for Ridge Forrester’s love. Her recent scenes with Dr. Taylor Hayes, Ridge’s ex-wife, were classic B&B and they earned Lang Performer of the Week for B&B honors.

Katherine Kelly Lang – Performer of the Week

Brooke walked into step-daughter Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) abode loaded for bear, ready to confront Taylor (Krista Allen). Sure, she was there to talk about Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) and his primary custody but, first, Brooke wanted to lay down the law with her rival regarding her what she thinks she’s trying to do with her husband Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) affections.

Soon, the subject changed to Douglas but Taylor, tapping into her psychiatrist role, surmised that Brooke was far more concerned about Ridge than she was about her grandson. Brooke shrugged off Taylor’s insights, noting she wasn’t happy about the smooch Ridge and Taylor shared in Monte Carlo but she certainly didn’t feel threatened.

Watching Brooke and Taylor volley remarks back and forth at one another is like watching a great tennis match. Brooke is confident in her position that Douglas needs to remain in the primary care of his mother, Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle); Taylor, naturally, is siding with her son, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), Douglas’s birth father. When Taylor pointed out that Thomas has worked really hard on his issues, Brooke used the fact that Thomas even has issues as ammunition against her rival.

“Hello, pot, meet kettle,” Taylor shot back at Brooke when she pointed out Thomas’s misdeeds. Taylor kept trying to reason with Brooke. When she deftly pointed out that both she (Taylor) and Ridge were focusing on their family, Brooke quickly interjected that Ridge was her husband — not Taylor’s.

Taylor countered by noting to Brooke that she and Ridge have a core family that they need to nurture — just as Brooke and Ridge do. She made a dig by noting that Brooke and Eric also have a core family (ouch) and Brooke and Deacon also have a core family (double ouch) on which Brooke needs to focus. (Kudos to Krista Allen for also bringing strength and commitment to Taylor in these must-see scenes with Lang’s Brooke.)

Brooke put forth her opinion that this wasn’t about Douglas at all. She accused Taylor of using the little boy to try to get Ridge back. “You’re not going to take Douglas,” Katherine Kelly Lang’s Brooke steadfastly maintained. “You’re not going to do that to Hope. And you are certainly are not going to do that to me.”

Brooke has been B&B’s steadfast leading heroine for the show’s entire 35 years and counting. Kudos to Katherine Kelly Lang for bringing the same passion and commitment she has infused her character with since the show’s premiere to today’s storylines.

Soap Hub Performer of the Week for GH: Nicholas Alexander Chavez

Spencer Cassadine overheard stepmother Ava Jerome Cassadine blurt out that Spencer’s dad Nikolas Cassadine had slept with his son’s former girlfriend Esme Prince. The subsequent fallout widened the rift between father and son and also earned Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Spencer’s portrayer, Soap Hub’s Performer of the Week for GH honors.

Nicholas Alexander Chavez – Performer of the Week

Spencer had long fallen out of love with Esme (Kristen Avery Pohl) and we’re not sure he ever did care for her. But Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) didn’t know that. So while it was one thing for Nik to move on from his estranged wife Ava (Maura West) and share a romp with Esme, it was quite another for him to betray his relationship with his own son.

Rather than rush out of the Quartermaine mansion, Spencer chose to confront his father over his actions. Ava shortly excused herself after she reminded Nikolas that only he was to blame for this mess. The hurt and betrayal Spencer was feeling was written all over his face. Nikolas could do nothing except quietly try to explain his side of things and how the circumstances led to his one-time encounter with the calculating Esme.

Nicholas Alexander Chavez only assumed the role of Spencer a little over 13 months ago. He never played the part of a pre-teen but in these recent scenes, he displayed all the vulnerability of a child who’d been hurt deeply by someone he only wanted to love and trust — his dad.

Spencer’s pain, which Chavez so brilliantly brought to the screen, wasn’t about evil Esme. “She didn’t matter to me — but you did,” Spencer quietly proclaimed. “I love you. You are my dad. You meant everything to me. No longer. I’m done with you.” Bravo to Nicholas Alexander Chavez for another great performance!

Honorable Mentions: The hospital charity event at the Quartermaines was the backdrop for many developing storylines enabling several actors to shine. Kudos to Maura West for continuing to play Ava’s outrage, John J. York for displaying Mac Scorpio’s understated amazement upon meeting the late Dominique’s son Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), and Michael Easton’s Dr. Hamilton Finn, a man who refuses to give up on the woman (Rebecca Herbst’s Liz Webber Baldwin) he loves.

Soap Hub Performer Of The Week For DAYS: Robert Scott Wilson

Kudos and the Soap Hub Performer of the Week honors are due for DAYS star Robert Scott Wilson, if for no other reason, for making us forget that he was ever onscreen playing a redeemed-ish serial strangler – Ben Weston who? The fact that the actor has made horn-dog Alexander Neil Kiriakis palpable is just a testament to his inherent likeability.

Robert Scott Wilson – Performer of the Week

They say that if you do what you love then it will never feel like work, and it’s probably safe to say that chiseled god Wilson isn’t hating his latest assignment – which requires him to strut his stuff and simulate passionate ardor with a bevy of lovely ladies.

Then again, he is playing someone who fans readily agree is an acquired taste. It’s not so much that Alex is a bad guy – he’s certainly no out-and-out villain – it’s just that he’s the kind of guy that gives men everywhere a bad name.

There doesn’t seem to be a woman that Alex wouldn’t make a pass at, he’s convinced that he can eventually charm a yes out of a femme even if her first inclination is to say no, and he has the ungentlemanly habits of failing to listen to a woman when they tell him anything about their person.

And yet, Alex isn’t someone who the fairer sex would find threatening or altogether reprehensible – gal pal Sloane Peterson (Jessica Serfaty) wasn’t even that put out that he couldn’t remember her last name or the fact that she was a lawyer even though she told him, “like, six times.” – and that’s down entirely to Wilson’s charm, joie de vivre, and Alex’s wherewithal to admit defeat.

For example, he bowed to Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) and Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) resolution not to have a threesome, but he did have to inquire about the possibility…twice!

Wilson has potent chemistry with Zach Tinker, his alter-ego’s on-screen sibling, and the scenes in which Alex reacted in horror to Sonny Kiriakis’s insistence that he’d soon meet a woman who would knock him off his feet and steal his heart were particularly entertaining.

But Robert Scott Wilson’s best work to date was opposite Abigail Klein, Days of our Lives’ newest Stephanie. The two had enough sizzle to cook a rib-eye, and we may have just been witness to the birth of a new supercouple. Now, if only the two could get on the same page…

Weekly Spoilers: August 29-September 2, 2022

The Young and the Restless

It’s business as usual as Victor engages in his favorite pastime (antagonizing his children), Phyllis pulls a total Phyllis (scoring a minor victory that’s likely to result in a major loss), and Jack breaks the only kind of news that anyone in Genoa City ever does (the bad kind!).

Friday, August 26:

Sally learns the truth, Nick and Victor confront Adam, and Billy makes a confession to Lily.

Don’t mess with Victoria, mmkay? ’Cause if you do, she’ll do exactly what she does today and strike back. You won’t like that.

Things are gonna get chilly over at Chancellor-Winters when Nate steals the spotlight. Will he finally go so far that Devon and Lily consider dropping a pink slip on his desk?

Aha. So Chelsea’s bold move must be toward Billy, because now she’s getting mixed signals from him. Word to the wise, Billy Boy: You can have your cake, or you can eat it, but ya can’t do both!

Week of August 29:

Y&R Restless Rant! Hot topics: Sally takes her revenge on Adam, Diane is triggered, what’s next for Chelsea and more.

Monday, August 29:

Since Diane returned from the dead, things have been going her way for the most part. She’s tight with Jack, hanging with Summer, working for Kyle… But all that could change as Nikki and Phyllis find a way to turn the tables on their shared nemesis.

When Nick points Sally in the right direction, we only wish it was in the direction of his bedroom, because a quadrangle with them, Adam and Sharon would be deliciously messy!

Traci gives Jack the third degree. But she’s so good at questioning her siblings at this point, it might actually turn out to be the fourth or fifth degree.

Tuesday, August 30:

It’s a little late for this if you ask us. Nonetheless, Victor prepares to deal with Adam’s dark side. “Hello, Genoa City Hardware? I’d like to order your brightest flashlight!”

Uh-oh. This is how solid marriages start to crumble: Chance breaks a promise to Abby. And you just know that she isn’t going to take that any better than Daddy takes being lied to.

When Chelsea gives Sally a history lesson, dare we hope that the redhead is being schooled in Nick’s past… as a precursor to sparks flying between them in the future?

Wednesday, August 31:

Jack makes a shocking decision. After weeks of saying that it’s over, over, so totally over between him and Phyllis, maybe he’s finally ready to forgive the love of his life?

Get comfortable, Allie. When Noah opens up to her about his past, she could be there awhile.

Careful, Chance. Giving Chelsea some words of encouragement could make Abby’s husband the next in line to be the newest object of the podcaster’s obsession.

Thursday, September 1:

Phyllis settling a debt translates to us as the conniver lowering the boom on her rival, Diane. Of course, doing so would undo any goodwill that Phyllis has generated with Jack. One step forward, two steps back!

It’s always electric anytime Chloe gets in Adam’s face, so we’re expecting a good time when she challenges the black sheep of the Newman family. Mind you, even that bit of excitement will likely pale in comparison to what happens when…

Diane confronts Talia Morgan about her exposé. Somehow, we doubt that the face-off will end in the women‘s agreement that “We’ll all laugh about this someday.”

Friday, September 2:

It being a day of the week that ends in “day,” Victor questions Nick’s judgment. Way to make the guy glad that he returned to the family business, Pops!

For so long, Nikki and Phyllis have felt powerless to strike back at Diane. But at last, the unlikely tag team is able to celebrate a win. But at what cost?

When Kyle receives unsettling news from Jack, we have a hunch that it will be in regard to the exposé. Will the Marchetti exec feel compelled to fire his mother-in-law?

The Bold and the Beautiful

Hope’s worst nightmare comes to pass. Well, at least her worst nightmare since the one in which she pushed Thomas into a vat of acid or the one in which Liam mistook a mannequin for her and slept with Steffy. In other developments, an honest conversation could lead “Quarter” to make change, Brooke and Taylor engage in an unorthodox form of “art therapy,” and Deacon regrets that Sheila’s bat-guano-crazy plan didn’t involve her obtaining for herself a cloak of invisibility.

Friday, August 26:

Hope comes face-to-face with Sheila, Brooke and Liam share their concerns, and Ridge goes off on Deacon.

Arriving without notice, Hope is startled by what she finds at Deacon’s house. We’ll be watching the scene through splayed hands with horrified expressions, we’re sure.

Broom closet brawl! Bold & Beautiful doubles down on its rivalry game as Ridge and Deacon argue about their relationships with Brooke and Hope.

Week of August 29:

Monday, August 29:

What are the chances she’ll be a redhead with a waxy complexion? An uneasy Hope meets “the new woman” in Deacon’s life. Will she see through Sheila’s disguise? We sure hope not because his whole future is riding on it!

When Quinn and Carter get honest with each other during a romantic and sexy dinner for two, will things take a turn for the worse? Or will their ability to be candid only bring them closer together?

Leaving the CBS soap Rena Sofer gives ‘Queric’ fans a peek at her parting gift to the leading man who’s ‘like a glass of champagne.’

Bold & Beautiful makes a guest star of Kimberlin Brown’s daughter — and she’s the spitting image of mom!

Tuesday, August 30:

Agree to… disagree? Steffy declares the rightful place of the Forresters to a resistant Hope. Why are we so sure that that “rightful place” isn’t going to be “with everyone who loves the Forrester in question” but very specifically “in the Forrester mansion”?

As their daughters bicker elsewhere, Brooke and Taylor take the high road, deciding to put aside their differences for Douglas’ sake. And if you believe that one, we’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn we wanna sell ya! What really happens is that a hysterical paint fight ensues between Ridge’s on-again/off-again wives.

Wednesday, August 31:

Ruh-roh. It sounds like this situation is going to do nothing but escalate as Hope accuses Thomas of putting his own desires above the needs of Douglas. Right, Hope, because that sort of approach always cools off a discussion that’s getting heated.

Taylor and Brooke each state their case to Ridge after he breaks up their mischief. Side note: Why on earth would he break up their mischief? Do they run out of paint? Buzzkill.

Thursday, September 1:

Disregarding Deacon’s desperate pleas — and the danger he’s put himself in — Sheila devises a new plan to see Finn. 1) We knew this was coming. 2) We’re not even sure why Deacon bothers to try and talk the madwoman out of anything — a she-devil’s gonna do what a she-devil’s gonna do, no matter how ill-advised it is!

Oh boy, Hope’s mom has recruited her favorite ally! Liam and Brooke fear that Thomas is using Douglas to manipulate Hope. Our question: What could Thomas possibly be angling to get Hope to do?

Friday, September 2:

Well, it sounds like a move was made! Hope visits Douglas at the Forrester mansion to determine if Thomas is being truthful. Will she discover that the boy is happier than she ever expected? If so, will she drop her objections to the change in living arrangements? And even if she does, would Brooke be able to let it go?

And this week on The Odd Couple… Deacon had better get used to playing out this scenario over and over! He attempts to maintain his composure while blocking Finn and Bill’s view of Sheila.

General Hospital

What starts out as a romantic day takes a chaotic and potentially violent turn as things spiral out of control during the Quartermaine-sponsored charity picnic. Elsewhere, Spencer makes a decision, an old flame is there for Elizabeth, and Trina yet again finds herself waiting for news!

Week of August 22:

Monday, August 22:

Marshall worries he caused his son Tommy’s death, Leo works on a love potion for Sam and Dante, and someone gets a surprise proposal!

Who doesn’t love a picnic? Of course, something tells us that when the Quartermaines host a fundraiser for the hospital, not everything will go as planned. (Wonder if, like at Thanksgiving, they’ll wind up trading burgers and hot dogs for pizza?)

Sam and Dante are at a precarious point in their relationship. Will a little push from Brook Lynn and Olivia help the pair take the next step?

Jordan and Marshall hash things out between them.

Wanting to get a better grip on her health crisis, Willow takes a meeting with Britt.

Ruh-roh. Dex has a bad feeling that Sonny might be on to him. And let’s face it… that could be a really big (potentially fatal) problem for the young hunk!

Nikolas might have to put all of his Cassadine wiles to use if he wants to keep the truth about Esme under wraps.

Curtis has a surprise for Portia.

Kirsten Storms and Days of Our Lives’ Brandon Barash take daughter Harper back-to-school shopping: “When she walked up with a taco piñata, I nearly lost it.”

Tuesday August 23:

Jordan overhears Portia’s call with the genetic counseling team, Willow reveals her decision about treatment to Terry, and Leo’s love potion ends up in several wrong hands.

When Willow sits Michael down for a talk, will she tell him the entire truth?

Leo jumps on the “let’s get Sam and Dante together” express by preparing them a, um, “special love drink” at the Quartermaine’s picnic. Dare we even ask what might be in it?

Are friends Carly and Drew going to explore the benefits of their relationship? Possibly, as they begin getting closer.

Ava and Nikolas pass the time by arguing. (But hey, we all know that on soaps, fights can often lead to explosive passion, right? Here’s hoping that’s the case for these two!)

What news does Portia receive regarding Trina?

Olivia makes her stance on the Sonny/Nina relationship perfectly clear. (Spoiler alert: She ain’t thrilled with it!)

Wednesday, August 24:

Leo’s love potion finally brings several would-be couples together, and Jordan weighs telling Curtis what Portia is keeping from him about Trina.

There’s a whole lotta love going around at the picnic. Over here, we have Chase finally admitting how he really feels, while over there Rory and Trina are getting to know each other much better. Perhaps inspired by Leo’s “love juice,” Dante has a change of heart. Finally, when Carly and Drew find themselves second-guessing their relationships, are they leaning into being friends… or considering becoming lovers?

Thursday, August 25:

Ava and Nikolas are overheard discussing his affair with Esme, Drew and Carly’s passion for one another leads to a fire, and Liz discovers her sister Sarah calling Finn.

In Port Charles, danger’s been known to get people’s emotions boiling over. Will that happen when Carly and Drew find themselves in a precarious situation?

Victor warns Ava that she would be wise to avoid crossing the Cassadines. (Perhaps someone should remind Victor of exactly how deadly Nikolas’ wife can be!) Meanwhile, although Nikolas is trying his best to bond with Spencer, his son is having absolutely none of it.

How will Elizabeth react to Finn’s confession?

Backstage intrigue: General Hospital newcomer gets caught up in co-star’s tangled web of lies.

Friday, August 26:

Spencer tells Nikolas he’s through with him, Elizabeth has another disturbing memory, Mac is shocked to meet Cody, and someone is stabbed with a fishing hook at the picnic.

Terry’s last attempt to forge a love connection didn’t go particularly well (thanks to Amy’s interference). When the doc feels sparks, might she get another shot at love?

We might finally get a clearer picture as to what’s going on with Elizabeth when she has a very dramatic flashback.

Cody’s past in general (and his birth parents in particular) are a hot topic between Lucy, Felicia, Mac and Anna. Meanwhile, Britt tells Cody that she has no intention of talking about her father — now or ever!

Anna recruits a new partner in her efforts to get the goods on Victor.

Austin may find himself in a difficult position after Mason comes to him with a threat.

Spencer could be knocked for a loop when he finds out the truth, and Ava will find herself in the rare position of being caught completely off guard!

As summer finally heats up for Chase and Brook Lynn, Josh Swickard’s very different winter plans are revealed!

Week of August 29:

Monday, August 29:

Mac and Felicia wind up on the same page as they come to a mutual realization.

Joss and Ava have a complex relationship, given that the teen’s mom isn’t the gallery owner’s biggest fan. But how will Joss react when she finds the older woman in need of help?

Sonny has had just about enough of the way his family treats Nina. But is there really anything he can do to change them?

Perhaps because of their long and complicated history, Elizabeth finds herself able to open up to Nikolas in a way she might not be able to with others.

Cody and Britt (aka the soon-to-depart Kelly Thiebaud) are about to get in one another’s faces. But will it result in exchanging kisses or insults?

We don’t particularly think of them as pals, but Finn takes it upon himself to offer Spencer a bit of advice.

We are saddened to report that a beloved General Hospital vet, Joe E. Tata, who added zip to 90210 has passed away at 85.

Tuesday August 30:

Given everything that went down during the Quartermaine picnic, it’s not really surprising that the town is still reeling the morning after. Look for this to be a big topic of conversation in the days to come!

Josslyn is still trying to process what went down. Having been through a terrifying situation or two herself over the years, Carly is there to help her daughter process things.

Finn and Elizabeth have had… let’s be kind and call them “issues.” Now, they’re about to sit down and try to talk them through. Good luck, kids!

Brook Lynn is questioned by the police about what went down in the park. After doing her time in the hot seat, she puts Drew there so she can grill him about his true feelings for his “friend” Carly.

Victor and Spencer circle one another warily, each throwing accusations at the other during a confrontation.

When Sonny is in need of comforting, Nina is there for him.

Wednesday, August 31:

Trina may have been exonerated by the jury, but that doesn’t mean her problems are gone. In fact, she’s now anxiously awaiting other news!

When Anna comes to an important conclusion, will it impact her future with Valentin? Speaking of the handsome Cassadine, he has a few pointed words for Lucy!

Finn isn’t so sure Nikolas’ motives are on the up-and-up. Might the doctor be wondering if old feelings are bubbling to the surface in Elizabeth’s ex-lover?

Things remain rocky between Sasha and Brando. Can these crazy kids find their way back to a loving place?

Thursday, September 1:

In recent weeks, Elizabeth has often pushed Finn away rather than let him help. But today, she actually opens up and confides in him.

Anna and Valentin strike a bargain. (Here’s hoping it is one which will allow them to continue their swoon-worthy romance!)

Drew needs someone to talk to, and Curtis is there for him. Meanwhile, Carly begins to second-guess her recent decision.

Victor finds himself having to answer questions put to him by Jordan. Or perhaps we should say he finds himself trying to avoid answering those questions!

Friday, September 2:

Are there fractures developing in the romance between Nina and Sonny? We may find out when he demands answers of his girlfriend!

Is Spencer’s nightmare a vision of things to come?

Josslyn is about to do something that will definitely catch Cameron off guard! (Does it have anything to do with the obvious sparks flying between her and Dex? Might she be why the poor guy winds up feeling disappointed today?)

When Willow makes a big decision, will she actually share it with Michael? Or is it the beginning of the end for their relationship?

Days of Our Lives

Rolf’s lab proves to be a hot spot, especially when Kristen goes to the mad doc with a command. Meanwhile, John cranks up the romance, Sarah and Xander decide it is way past time for them to make things official, and Ava’s presence in the DiMera mansion continues to be an issue between Johnny and his dad, EJ!

Week of August 29:

Monday, August 29:

With Orpheus lurking around town plotting, this shouldn’t come as a huge surprise: Marlena and Kayla are in what might best be described as a pickle. And not the delicious kind which go atop a burger, either! And as a man who isn’t afraid to go where he’s not wanted, wait until you see what event Orpheus winds up crashing!

Can a player really change his ways? Something tells us Chanel and Allie will be more than a little skeptical when Alex insists to them that he’s met the woman of his dreams. Assuming he’s talking about Stephanie, the two could quickly wind up butting heads on a professional level, especially if Sonny succeeds in convincing her to come and work for him!

Tuesday, August 30:

When EJ starts plotting to get rid of Ava, does he mean he wants to have her removed from the DiMera mansion or something far more permanent? (With the DiMera men, you never know!)

Gabi happens to overhear her beau making a potentially incriminating call to Dr. Rolf, who is also being kept busy by co-conspirator Kristen! Speaking of Ms. DiMera, Brady finds time to fill Chloe in on what his ex is up to now.

Wednesday, August 31:

What, exactly, is going to happen to Stefan? We may have a better clue after today’s episode, in which Rolf begins his work!

The soap will definitely turn big business into our viewing pleasure when EJ turns the DiMera shareholders meeting upside down! At the same time, EJ proves he doesn’t even have to be present to create drama as Shawn and Belle realize that the guy is still an issue for them.

They grow up so quickly! It seems like just yesterday that Rachel was in diapers, and yet today she’s taking Chloe to task! Will Brady’s daughter be what derails his romance with the erstwhile Ghoul Girl?

Thursday, September 1:

Is Christmas coming to Salem super early when John, Steve and Roman all receive packages? Based on what they contain — and that they come from Orpheus — we’re going to guess no!

Alex must be presenting his most charming self to Stephanie, because it seems as if he’s actually making progress.

The good news: Someone is visiting Sonny. The bad news: It’s the last person he wants to see, Leo.

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: Gwen insists — this time to Chad — that she’s innocent.

Friday, September 2:

Chad — who apparently hasn’t been made to suffer quite enough yet — makes a horrifying discovery.
