Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring, or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join the Days of our Lives fold in surprising new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

The week of May 9, 2022

Stephanie Johnson will finally be heading home to Salem. Abigail Klein has been cast as Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) daughter, the role previously portrayed by Shelley Hennig. She’ll make her debut on the second installment of Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem and then segue over to the NBC soap.

Klein’s credits include Code Black, GLOW, S.W.A.T., and American Housewife. She also had a day role as a nanny on The Young and the Restless back in 2011

It’s a wrap for William Christian as Lani’s (Sal Stowers) diabolical biological father, TR Coates. The character will meet his maker this week when Lani shoots and kills him. Christian made his debut as TR last January.

Bruce Beaty is back as Salem University Hospital’s administrator Seth Burns. He’ll appear in scenes with Mary Beth Evans’ Kayla on Tuesday, May 10.
