The Young and the Restless viewers will see a different Imani Benedict soon because the soap had to temporarily recast actress Leigh-Ann Rose.
Leigh-Ann Rose Is Temporarily Recast On Y&R
The CBS daytime soap temporarily recast the role of Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) sister due to the actress’s scheduling conflict. Rose is reportedly working on another project. In her absence, the role of Imani will temporarily be played by Denise Boutte starting on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
Y&R fans may recognize Boutte from her current roles on “The Family Business” (BET) and “Terror Lake Drive.” Additionally, the actress stars in upcoming suspense dramas, “The Missing” and “Angie’s Cure.” The latter will open in conjunction with the legendary Bronner Bros Hair Show in Miami on Aug 27-29. She also co-stars in the upcoming series, “Kombucha Cure” (Amazon Prime), and she lends her voice to the animated series, “Young Justice.”
Imani Benedict Is A Troublemaker
Currently, Imani is stirring up some trouble in Genoa City, especially with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and his girlfriend, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). She’s made no secret of her feelings about the doctor turned businessman, and Imani is pulling out all the stops to get her guy, which Elena is less than impressed with. In fact, Elena recently told Nate she didn’t think Imani was doing him any favors at work, which didn’t make him too happy, and this couple appears to be on the rocks.
Boutte steps in for Leigh-Ann Rose in the middle of a tense storyline, which could change the face of Chancellor-Winters and the family that runs it.
