Soap Hub Performer Of The Week For DAYS: Greg Rikaart

The actor is rocking the verbal banter like a rock star!

Soap Hub Performer Of The Week For DAYS: Greg Rikaart

Greg Rikaart is a great asset to DAYS, if for no other reason because he doesn’t mind making an ass out of himself…both figuratively and literally. He most certainly deserves the honor that is Soap Hub’s Performer of the Week award.

Greg Rikaart — Performer of the Week

In Rikaart’s first scene, he was masked up — refer to the picture above for reference –swaying to a beat that only he could hear, and totally ignoring the job at hand, which, by the by, was handing out free cookies with a “Vote For Paulina” message pipped in frosting.

When his Leo Stark caught sight of Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty), the lithe and lethal legal eagle that he’d stiffed, Leo tried to make a hasty exit, made all the more hilarious by the incongruous rubber disguise he was rocking.

Once Leo was called out and made to show himself — no, not in that way, you’re about as bad as Leo! — Sloan set about insulting his duds — “My P.I. told me you were hiding in plain sight dressed as a mule. I thought he was kidding, but sadly I was wrong.” — his present employment status — “Somebody in this town actually gave you a job? — and his less than savory past –“Leo, I have told you that a resume and rap sheet are two very different things.”

But Leo gave as good as he got. “First of all, it’s not a mule, it’s a donkey. And second, I’m not hiding, I’m working for Paulina Price’s campaign committee,” he explained before addressing her latter misalignments with a curt, if not slightly defeated, “And I have told you and told you that you…are very rude.”

There was further banter-cum-threats, and the two parted with Leo resigned to getting Sloan her cash and quick! Rikaart next shared the screen with comedy legend Jackée Harry during which time their characters discovered they had a mutual foe in Sloan, and Leo leveled up in the job department when Paulina hired him as her Salem-based secretary — or, as Leo would so succinctly put it, “I’m the new Mary!” And yes, that was a double entendre, and yes Greg Rikaart delivered it with style and aplomb.
