Katherine’s name has been brought up more and more — and we love it!
When Devon Hamilton hired Esther Valentine at Chancellor-Winters, it was lovely to hear them remember Katherine Chancellor and her legacy at the company. With Tucker McCall’s return, the show is picking up Kay’s storylines, and we love it.
Katherine Chancellor Remains The Duchess Of Genoa City
With Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Abby Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) union, Chancellors moved back into Katherine’s majestic home. Then, they had Dominic, which continued the name (it seems), but for a while, Katherine didn’t come up all that often other than the fact that so many people spent time at Chancellor Park.
Now, with Devon (Bryton James) hiring Esther (Kate Linder), she and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) shared some lovely memories of how Katherine took over Chancellor Industries. Then, when Devon showed up, he also had a few memorable to say about his grandmother.
Plus, the arrival of Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) in fine style when he crashed Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) vow renewal ceremony at the Abbott mansion also brought about several explanations about him and how he was part of Katherine’s family.
He’s Kay’s son, Devon’s father, and even Dominic’s grandfather. Sure, we’re not going to mention the fact that neither Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) nor Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) was at the event…even so, it was still nice to see more of the Chancellor family and memories come back into storyline focus.
Even Victor and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) conspiring to buy controlling shares in Chancellor-Winters is a throwback to the times when they all clashed in the past over their business empires. Now, all we need is a scene of Tucker at the Chancellor mansion talking to Katherine’s portrait in the living room, and we’ll feel the continued influence of The Duchess on Genoa City that we’ve so needed. What have you liked most about the recent reminiscing about her?
