You’re Fired: Should Jill Can Lily Winters On Young and the Restless?

Is this the end of the road for Chancellor-Winters?

Lily Winters Young and the Restless Jill Foster Abbott

It was Jill Foster Abbott’s idea to take Chancellor-Winters public on The Young and the Restless, but it was Lily Winters and her mismanagement that caused the whole thing to nearly derail. Besides, Jill appointed Lily CEO to keep an eye on Jill’s son, Billy Abbott.

Young and the Restless Polling

Now that Billy (Jason Thompson) has decided he is unfulfilled, blah, blah, blah, needs to follow his bliss, blah, blah, blah, is a rich, entitled, spoiled brat, blah, blah, blah…does Jill (Jess Walton) need Lily (Christel Khalil) at all? Should she just cut her losses?

Y&R: It’s Handled

Sure, Nate Hastings’s (Sean Dominic) industrial espionage could have lost them their company to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)…or Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John)…or some other ruthless raider. But Lily handled the situation. She’s got everything under control. Why in the world would Jill want to rock the corporate boat at such a delicate time, 57% wonder.

Young & Restless: Wait and See

Lily might still pull this off, 30% defend the fashion model turned CEO. Why doesn’t Jill wait and see what happens? If everything goes bottoms up, there is always time to fire Lily later. Who would she get to replace her? It’s not like Billy is in any way a better choice. And if Devon (Bryton James) is in the big chair, that’ll just make Nate want to bring them down more!

No Second Chances For Lily Winters

Lily blew it, a less forgiving 12% is dismissing outright. Her job was to manage her people. She managed Nate so well that he was willing to sell them out to the highest bidder. Sure, Nate’s beef was with Devon, not Lily. But the buck stops with her. She knew there was bad blood there and still did nothing about it. She’s the one who put Chancellor-Winters at risk, so she’s the one who should pay the penalty. Thank you…next!
