For those who don’t think the Delta variant of COVID-19 is serious, one only has to look at the rising numbers across the U.S., even with those who have been vaccinated. Days of our Lives alum Kate Mansi knows that all too well after receiving notice that she and her husband—both fully vaccinated—have tested positive for COVID-19.
Kate Mansi Shares Scary News
On her Instagram Stories, Mansi shared the scary news. “We have been fully vaccinated since May, which is probably why I am posting this from home and not a hospital bed,” she declared. “The Delta variant is much more contagious and twice as likely to lead to hospitalization.”
It’s been proven that those who aren’t vaccinated and contract the Delta variant of COVID-19 could face serious consequences, so Mansi urges everyone to be wise, get vaccinated, and be safe.
“Please continue to wear masks and get vaccinated if you can,” she wrote. “We must stop the spread of this virus. It’s the worst I’ve ever felt being sick. Please be safe everyone.”
A look through her Instagram posts, and it’s clear that Kate Mansi has been cautious, almost always wearing a mask. But that shows how serious this can be.
This isn’t the first time that COVID has impacted Mansi’s life. She was supposed to get married to Blake Levin on March 29, 2020 at what she described as a “dream snowy wedding in Banff, Canada.”
The couple was forced to pivot their plans and eventually had their dream wedding over the summer, just not the way they first imagined.
The rise in COVID cases hasn’t impacted the soaps yet, many of whom have scheduled breaks lately but now seem to be returning to production. However, her predicament should serve as a warning to them that anyone can be impacted, and they need to be on guard and ready for last-minute changes. Soap Hub wishes Kate Mansi a speedy recovery and hopes everyone else stays safe!
