Soap Spoilers: August 9-13, 2021

The Young and the Restless

Victor and Nikki are hit with surprising news, Summer stuns her parents, Jack and Ashland square off, and Kevin’s Spidey — or should we say chipmunk? — senses are set a-tingle when it comes to Adam.

Friday, August 6:

Victor surprises someone with a new business proposition, and we have to wonder if it will be Victoria. His recent move to protect her from an attack by Adam may signal that he’s ready to mend fences with his headstrong daughter.

Juicy! Phyllis has clearly brought Nick into the loop with regard to her suspicions about Tara and Sally, as together, they plan the ultimate take-down of the scheme team.

When Kyle makes a bold move, will Tara’s house of cards finally come tumbling down? If so, what revelations will come to light? And what of Summer and Kyle’s doomed engagement? Might they actually get their happily ever after?

Week of August 9:

Monday, August 9:

When Victoria shares surprising news with Victor and Nikki, we’re willing to bet she’ll be telling them she’s tying the knot with Ashland Locke… or that they’ve already tied it!

Summer catches Nick and Phyllis off guard, which could mean she shows up back in Genoa City unexpectedly. Perhaps to reclaim her man, Kyle, and to explain her decision to flee? If so, might we be proven correct about Young & Restless’ endgame for Skyle?

Amanda sets the record straight with Naya, which will leave the ball in her mother’s court when it comes to how they move forward. Will Devon’s girlfriend ever have the close relationship with her birth mom that she so desperately hoped for?

Tuesday, August 10:

Victor makes Victoria a surprising offer, which could mark a special father and daughter moment, and knowing these two, will have to do with the family business. (Do they ever bond over anything else?)

Has Chloe been singing her nemesis’ praises at home? It’s safe to say it’s a possibility when Kevin becomes suspicious of Adam’s reform. We have to wonder if Kevin, like us, is sensing that Chloe and Adam are on a sexual collision course.

When Jack engages in a power struggle with Ashland, will it be over a business matter or Harrison? After all, the wee boy could be left in the lurch after Tara’s machinations are revealed.

Wednesday, August 11:

Jack commiserates with Phyllis, but will he also be eating some crow? She spent weeks trying to tell him that Tara and Sally had manipulated Summer, and he would not listen!

When Chelsea tests the waters with Adam, will she be hoping to let bygones be bygones and reunite? Hmm… those are some big bygones. Would Adam be tempted to rekindle the flame with the woman who came oh-so-close to successfully framing him for poisoning Rey and sending him to prison for life?

The mystery surrounding Mariah’s disappearance and ongoing absence deepens when Abby receives a cryptic message from her surrogate. Will it be clue enough for Mariah at last to be found?

Thursday, August 12:

As busy doctors, Nate and Elena struggle to find balance in their relationship. Will their inability to get on the same page leave an opening for a certain someone to make inroads with the hunky Dr. Hastings? Yes, we’re thinking of Imani, too.

Watch for Billy and Lily to face an ethical dilemma. We know which way Billy typically leans on these matters, but will Lily be willing to take a gamble? Or perhaps she’ll be leading the charge to blur the lines? Billy Boy’s devil-may-care attitude sure seems to be rubbing off on her.

Friday, August 13:

Always the protective father and cunning businessman, Victor questions Ashland about his intentions. Will he get sincere answers, or is the Locke Ness Monster snowing everyone as he works a revenge scheme?

We thought the situation was dire last week when Jack warned Sharon he was going to have to replace Mariah at work for being a no-show and Tessa made an appeal for an assist. At long last, Sharon asks Rey to help find her daughter. Will the detective be able to track down the missing mother-to-be?

The Bold and the Beautiful

All hell breaks loose at Steffy and Finn’s wedding reception after Sheila reveals herself. Plus, Donna and Katie walk down Memory Lane, and a diabolical plot is hatched.

Friday, August 6:

In front of friends and family, Steffy and Finn pledge themselves to one another, reciting personal vows and becoming husband and wife. Though everything’s coming up roses right now for the happy couple, we have to wonder if it’s the calm before the storm as all signs point to Steffy’s worst nightmare being realized thanks to a recent decision that may backfire spectacularly.

Week of August 9:

This week’s preview promises ‘bad news’ — and dang, it looks good!

Monday, August 9:

When Finn learns a shocking secret about his past, his whole future will be changed in an instant. Here’s hoping his and Steffy’s love for another will be strong enough to weather the storm.

As a colossal bombshell is dropped at Steffy and Finn’s wedding reception, the explosion will be felt all across the canvas. Unless you’ve been living under a rock — and avoiding reading anything on Soaps.com for the last week — you already know what gets revealed.

Tuesday, August 10:

Chaos ensues at the reception at the Forrester mansion, and is it any wonder? Steffy’s just learned that she’s given birth to the grandson of Sheila Carter and married her son! And if you don’t quite understand why that’s such a big, bad deal.

Wednesday, August 11:

When Donna makes a confession to Katie about Eric, it’s almost certainly going to have to do with giving it another go with her “Honey Bear.” But will Eric be open to her advances so soon after being burned by Quinn?

Steffy is angry and Finn, torn, over how their pasts are intertwined. Maybe now would be a good time to remind them of how much they’ve already overcome.

Thursday, August 12:

Family and friends provide backup when Ridge makes a demand of an unwelcome guest. Will “the dressmaker” insist that Sheila leave the premises? Or will she stand her ground, certain that at last she has her place in the Forrester family, ahem, all sewn up?

When an emotional Steffy lays down the law to her new husband on their wedding day, it’s a good bet she’ll be informing him that his newfound biological mother won’t be welcome in their lives — or around their son!

Friday, August 13:

As boundaries are set and tensions run high, Steffy and Finn attempt to navigate their new situation. Man, if ever Bold & Beautiful needed a therapist on the canvas, this is it. Come home, Taylor! Come home!

When a plan is devised by a master manipulator — who can only be Sheila, right? — will she be looking to worm her way into Finn’s family life, or is there more to it? Might she set her sights on becoming Mrs. Eric Forrester again, thus pitting herself against Donna?

They don’t come much bigger and badder than Evil Nurse Sheila, who got her start over on The Young and the Restless.

General Hospital

Shawn is given good advice, and Carly suggests it’s time that she and Jason take a very important — and potentially very dangerous — meeting.

Week of August 2:

Monday, August 2:

After a disturbing encounter at Wiley’s birthday party, Willow and Michael have sex — unaware that Chase is nearby — plus, Nina panics, and Valentin expresses remorse.

As situations around her spiral out of her control, an overwhelmed Jordan feels helpless. Meanwhile, Stella has a few things she wants Portia to hear and is going to make sure she hears them!

Feeling herself continuing to be drawn in two directions, Nina can’t help but feel guilty. But will she eventually feel guilty enough to reveal what she knows about the not-actually-dead Sonny?

Michael is there when Willow is in need of comforting. What we want to know is who’ll be there when Chase finds out what’s going on in his marriage, because he sure as heck will need some comforting! Speaking of whom, Austin is right there by Chase’s side to cheer his progress. Could the no-longer-dying detective be back on his feet (literally) sooner than anyone imagined?

Tuesday, August 3:

Chase learns Michael and Willow are together behind his back, while Trina discovers the truth about her mother’s affair with Curtis.

Although yesterday, Austin was there to encourage Chase, today the new doctor in town is issuing warnings to his patient.

Something tells us Nina’s guilt won’t exactly be assuaged when she takes a video call from Wiley. (Might “Mike” catch a glimpse of his grandchild during that call? And if so, will he recognize the boy?)

As Joss is being teased about her relationship, Trina is dealing with feels of betrayal. But whom does she think stabbed her in the proverbial back?

Jordan and Curtis might not be quite as over as we thought. When Jordan asks her estranged husband to fight for their marriage, will he be willing to give it the old college try?

Wednesday, August 4:

Austin talks Chase out of confronting Willow, Stella collapses, and Alexis is disturbed by what she sees taking place between Harmony and Ryan.

Their lives at a potential crossroads, Trina and Portia sit down for a long talk. Meanwhile, Stella has to make a confession to Curtis.

Alexis suspects that Harmony has ulterior motives for her actions. (And given that we’re talking about Harmony, it seems pretty likely the jailed legal eagle is right!)

Brook Lynn may be keeping a major secret from Valentin, but she still can’t help questioning his motives.

Carly is in for a heck of a shock when she realizes that Monica — Monica! — is in her corner.

Thursday, August 5:

Joss has a run-in with Joey Novak, who sends Carly and Jason a message. And Stella suffers memory loss after a stroke.

Jax once again finds himself furious at the fact that Carly is continuing to put their daughter, Josslyn, in danger. But is there anything he can do to prevent it?

It wasn’t that long ago that Cameron was telling anyone who’d listen what a horrible person Jason is. But they’ve clearly patched things up, because today, the young man will be getting boxing pointers from Elizabeth’s ex! Later, Curtis takes time to say “thank you” to Cameron.

What causes TJ’s emotions to get the better of him while on duty at the hospital? Elsewhere in the facility, Terry swallows her pride and tries to make nice with Britt.

Friday, August 6:

Sam and Nikolas visit Alexis. The big question is whether they’re presenting a united front or each is there on their own business.

We all know it’s not easy for someone with a record to find employment once out of jail. But it could be Shawn’s lucky day when Ava offers him a job.

Jax and Carly continue to butt heads over their daughter’s future… as in whether Carly’s decisions are putting Josslyn’s life on the line!

Anna and Obrecht have a long, complicated history… which should make it fascinating when the two of them sit down to discuss Peter!

Lulu’s been in a coma for a very long time, and Dante’s been getting closer to Sam. Could that be the topic of discussion when his former mother-in-law Laura offers him some advice?

Maurice Benard takes to social media ‘ready to rumble’ — plus, the Corinthos family reunion we never saw coming!

On what would’ve been his mum’s 75th birthday, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) imagined a world with her still in it.

Week of August 9:

Monday, August 9:

Proving that you just never know where inspiration will come from, Chase gets an idea from Austin. (Of course, we’re not saying it’s a good idea… )

Brook Lynn is the kinda girl who can easily suss out a secret, so Michael might want to up his game because she’s becoming pretty suspicious of his behavior.

Nikolas is horrified to find out about Ryan’s letter. Meanwhile, Shawn gets one step closer to solving a mystery when he manages to track down Naomi. (You’ll recall that Naomi is the ex-wife of Raymond Berlin, ex-lover of Jeff Webber and, perhaps most important of all, mother of Hayden Barnes!)

Sam receives a message that may be more than it appears.

Tuesday, August 10:

Clearly believing that two heads are better than one, Sam calls Dante for help with a case.

Who is the old friend Liz happily welcomes back to General Hospital?

As Monica checks in on Chase’s new wife Willow, Ned begins to fear that Austin — who is attempting to stake a claim on the Quartermaine fortune — may just have a case.

Trina works hard to convince Spencer he should throw a party at Wyndemere. (Anyone who has ever attended a party at the estate will tell you what an awful idea that is, given how often things end with bloodshed and the occasional tumble off a parapet!)

Wednesday, August 11:

Jason and Carly realize it’s time for them to present a united front where it really counts. But are they really ready to take a meeting with the Five Families?

Nikolas may not always have been the best dad, but he admits to Laura that he’s growing concerned about son Spencer. Meanwhile, Ava continues to prove a good influence on Trina by sharing some of her hard-won wisdom with the teen.

Fans of the Obrecht/Scott pairing — and we know there are a lot of you! — will be thrilled to hear that today, they’re continuing to grow closer. While you wait to watch, celebrate Kin Shriner’s anniversary as Scotty with a photo album full of memories of his legendary run in Port Charles.

What makes Jordan feel a bit sympathetic toward Portia?

Thursday, August 12:

Jason went into his arrangement with Carly with his eyes wide open. But now, she can’t help but wonder if she’s putting too much pressure on him.

Lenny’s determined to live life to the fullest, and Phyllis does her best to embrace his attitude.

When Nina and “Mike” get even closer, just how far will things go?

Jax opens up to Britt about his feelings regarding Jason and Carly’s relationship. Given her own feelings for the hitman, will this bring Britt and Jax closer?

Portia is feeling optimistic… but is she right to?

Friday, August 13:

Cameron and Spencer get ready for the big party at Wyndemere. Here’s hoping the guys aren’t in over their heads!

Dante shares information about a case with Sam. Might they find time to mix business with a little pleasure?

Jordan thinks that Shawn needs to focus his attention on two things: His own future and his relationship with TJ.

Jax has spent a lot of time lately worrying about Joss’ safety. Today, he goes directly to at least one of the people he believes is putting the teen in danger: Jason!

Nina and “Mike” are happy and looking forward to the future. (Anyone else feel like this is a sure sign that trouble is heading their way?)

Celebrate Rebecca Herbst’s General Hospital anniversary!

Days of Our Lives

Drastic actions lead to a major breakthrough, a plan is put into motion, someone’s kicked out of their home and upsetting news is delivered.

Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem announces a half-dozen more former favorites returning for the limited series!

Recap before Summer Olympics

Eric punches Xander and then receives confirmation Nicole cheated on him. Plus, Nicole plants seeds of doubt in EJ regarding Sami, and Chloe and Brady come to a realization about his step-sister — after Brady fires Xander.

Nicole cries as Eric kisses her hands on Days of Our Lives

Eric and Nicole end their marriage, Sami fesses up to EJ, and Ben vows to stop Ciara’s wedding.

Philip suggests that perhaps Lucas can use Nicole’s situation to his advantage!

Allie is clearly on #TeamCin as she does her best to help Ciara remember not only her love for Ben, but the day they became man and wife.

Ben plans to kidnap Ciara, who gets a string of bad news and unwanted advice on her wedding day.

Ciara has every intention of becoming Theo’s bride. But have recent events — and the proddings of pretty much everyone in town — begun to awaken in Ciara memories of happier days with Ben?

Meanwhile, Abe suggests that perhaps Theo should put on the brakes where his marriage plans are concerned. And as the bride is preparing for her big moment, she winds up getting into a fight with Claire, who clearly thinks Ciara is about to make a huge mistake!

How will Abe and Lani react to Paulina’s latest news? (Given that her last “surprise” went over like the proverbial lead balloon, here’s hoping this time she’s got something a little less “tear-the-fabric-of-Salem-apart” in mind.

Allie and Claire help Ben kidnap Ciara from her wedding to Theo. Plus, after getting it from Philip, Nicole passes Kristen’s letter along to EJ, who finally learns the truth about Sami and Lucas.

How will Sami react when Lucas decides it’s time to come clean?

Week of August 9:

Monday, August 9:

When last we saw Ben, he’d kidnapped Ciara on her wedding day (leaving Claire to take her place at the altar with Theo!) Will taking Ciara to a place that played a very special role in their relationship finally jog her memory and allow the supercouple to reunite? Meanwhile, Allie and Claire find themselves having to face the consequences of having helped Ben pull off his plot.

Sami might want to brace herself, because EJ not only has the truth-revealing letter written by Kristen but is about to confront his cheating wife with her infidelity!

When Nicole needs someone to open up to, Rafe is there for his friend. (You know, the one he has very deep, conflicted feelings for despite being in a relationship with Ava!)

Tuesday, August 10:

The tables are turned when Ciara finds herself having to take care of an injured Ben. Might this be what it takes to help her remember the circumstances under which she fell in love with the erstwhile serial killer?

Now that the truth is out, Lucas and EJ wind up clashing over the woman they’re both in love with. Speaking of Sami, she, too, winds up clashing… but her confrontation with Nicole is fueled by good old-fashioned hate!

Gabi sets in motion her latest scheme by being dishonest with Philip.

Wednesday, August 11:

The DiMera mansion will be just a little less crowded after EJ gives Sami the boot!

Philip is none too happy with Chloe, putting her on blast for continuing to chase after Brady. Meanwhile, Gabi fills Jake in on her plan to bring down Philip.

Not surprisingly, Ava is displeased to find Rafe comforting Nicole.

Thursday, August 12:

Will Allie and Claire crack under the pressure when Belle and Eli want answers as to where Ben took his “hostage?” Meanwhile, perhaps realizing that time is quickly running out, Ben urges Ciara to remember their love story.

Chanel and Tripp may just find themselves bonding as each admits to being worried about Allie.

Paulina does what she can to help Theo. But all she really winds up doing is ticking off Lani!

Friday, August 13:

Cin fans will want to make sure they tune in today as Ciara has a major breakthrough. Will she finally remember her love for Ben? (And might this mean we’re treated to a whole slew of flashbacks?) Meanwhile, if this really is the big moment… what happens next for the couple?

Brace yourself, Jack, because you’re about to get some pretty bad news from Steve. (Could this have something to do with why Gwen winds up in hot water?)

Lani sits Abe down to explain to him exactly why she finds it difficult to forgive Paulina.

Yikes. There’s only one way that Days of Our Lives can really deal with Kristian Alfonso’s absence as Hope long-term… and we have a feeling you won’t like it.
