Alison Sweeney wraps up her latest run as Sami
Brady DiMera on Wednesday, August 11, when the character is kidnapped.
However, she will be back. The actress is reportedly filming scenes that
will air in the upcoming months. Sweeney, who returned to the soap for
an extended story arc, had been airing since February.
No sooner had Freddie Smith announced that he won’t be returning to DAYS, if and when the show called with an offer, than the role of Sonny Kiriakis has been recast. Zachary Atticus Tinker, who also portrays Fenmore Baldwin on The Young and the Restless, will be taking on the role of Sonny in the Peacock spinoff Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem. Whether or not that eventually translates to the actual soap, remains to be seen.
