Rumors abound that Kyle Lowder will be reprising his role as Rex Brady.
The actor shared a photo of himself on Instagram sitting in a hair and
makeup room that looked suspiciously like the one at the DAYS Burbank
studio complex. Adding fuel to the fire was his caption: “Back to work.”
Adding even more fuel to the fire is the fact that the post has been
taken down. Lowder made his last appearance on the soap in March of 2021
when he helped (in a way) Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) destroy his ex,
Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey), relationship with Xander (Paul
Telfer), ushering her exit.
Viewers holding out hope for a Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis return to Salem won’t be getting their wish, according to Freddie Smith, who played Sonny. On the YouTube podcast he co-hosts with his wife, The Freddie and Alyssa Show, Smith explained that he’d come to a difficult decision since getting married and relocating to Florida. That is, if and when the powers-that-be at DAYS were to call with an offer, “I would not go back,” said Smith.
