Ciara Brady Weston might not have been happy when Ben Weston kidnapped her from her wedding to Theo Carver, but Ciara and Ben fans obviously were. Actor Robert Scott Wilson promises there are more good times ahead for Days of our Lives’ devoted “Cin” fan base once the soap returns from its Olympic break.
Robert Scott Wilson Promises Cin-sational Times Ahead
“All I know is that what [we’ve shot] will make fans smile,” reveals Wilson, referring to upcoming Ben and Ciara scenes. “It’s going to bring a smile to a lot of fans…all the ‘Cinners’ out there.”
The big grin-worthy moments are the result of Ben’s drastic move to hold onto the woman he loves. Namely, snatching Ciara (Victoria Konefal) before she could walk down the aisle and exchange “I Do’s” with Theo (Cameron Johnson), by posing as the limo driver transporting the bride-to-be to her nuptials.
A Desperate Man
“Ben had to come up with a plan to stop Ciara and Theo’s wedding from happening,” explains Robert Scott Wilson, adding that the drastic kidnapping was his character’s “one final Hail Mary.”
Ben’s hope is that spending some time alone with him — even if it’s forced, could jog Ciara’s memories of their profound love. And as devoted fans and actor Robert Scott Wilson know, that is always the end game on daytime.
Robert Scott Wilson — The End Game
“It has to end with love. Love has to win,” says Wilson. “I’ve been saying that from the beginning. Whatever crazy stuff might happen in between happens. That’s what we do. We’re lucky to be challenged [as actors] and [to get the opportunity to] try to do good work.”
Fans of Ciara and Ben will be pretty lucky, too, in the weeks ahead. Even though Konefal has yet to sign a new long-term contract with the soap, Robert Scott Wilson reports that viewers will be seeing a lot of her. “Victoria’s been working a ton,” he notes. “We’ve got a bunch of story coming up together.”
DOOL: Big Risk, Big Reward
If Cin fans have their way, that story will lead to a Ciara and Ben reconciliation. And, let’s face it, it’s been a very long time coming. The couple has been kept apart ever since they had their romantic dream wedding – over a year ago.
“Like I’ve said, it will just build up that reward,” delivers Wilson with a smile. “Ultimately, at the end, it will make it that much higher.”
