General Hospital – The List of the Absolute Best of The Best of 2021

Over a 12-month period, every soap opera will have a dip, a lull, a low – and General Hospital is no different. But why dwell on the occasional misfire, when you can accentuate the positives, and celebrate the very best of the best?

General Hospital: Best of the Best of 2021

Most Captivating Couple That Isn’t Really One…Yet
It’s like two porcupines trying to mate…how do they do it? Well, if you’re super spies Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), you do it slowly, carefully, and with stunningly accurate dialogue that’s playful and flirty.

They haven’t quite pulled the trigger (as of this writing) on being a full-fledged romance but that hasn’t stopped “Vanna” fans from swooning whenever these two are anywhere near each other. Something tells us though that when they do, it will have been worth the wait.

Best Character Revitalization
While some may think Selina Wu (Lydia Look) is a new character, she’s actually been attending mob meetings for years. Now with the escalating mob wars thanks to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and her nephew Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) in play, Selina has risen in Port Charles stature — and mixes things up with the Corinthos clan. Is she an ally? Is she a major chess player, moving the pieces? Anything can happen and Look has everyone on social media buzzing about what her character may do next. That’s success!

Best Job With A Most Uneviable Task
Poor Cynthia Watros has had to deal with angry fans upset that her character Nina Reeves is coming between longtime supercouple Sonny and Carly. She’s been written doing unbelievable things but in the skilled hands of this Daytime Emmy-winning actress, we can’t help but root for Nina.

And yes, by “we” we mean Soap Hub. We realize not all fans agree but considering Nina could have easily been played as one-note, Watros has given an incredibly layered performance each and every time she’s onscreen, showing that Nina acts out from a place of having endured incredible pain and betrayal in her life.

Best Written Hour
It was a plethora of riches as Willow Tait was grilled on the stand, desperate to hold onto Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves’s (Cynthia Watros) secret, and the tension built until an extremely satisfying end — complete with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) finally learning the truth.

Opposite that, a finally happy Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) was told by his best client (and pal) Valentin that he had to choose between him and sex with Lucy Coe (which apparently was super fun), Anna putting Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) on notice, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) mooning for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) making an offer to Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy), and so much more. This was the kind of soapy goodness viewers live for!

Best General Hospital Reveal
General Hospital screwed up a few reveals (Drew Cain learning off-camera about BFF Franco Baldwin’s murder, Sonny’s non-reaction to finding Carly/Jason married and in his bedroom just to name a couple), but as the “Best Written Hour” says above, Willow’s spilling the Sonny secret had all the fireworks we’d been hoping for! That look Carly threw Sonny’s way of complete humiliation and betrayal will fuel Internet memes for months alone!

Best Character Turn
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) went to visit her evil brother Cyrus and learned that he wasn’t the one who tried to kill her — because he’s found, God! The fact Laura couldn’t stop laughing only made it better as her confused bro couldn’t understand why he wasn’t immediately believed.

This has so much story potential, especially if he manages to get out and return to Port Charles in the style of One Life to Live’s revivalist preacher Mitch Laurence (played deliciously by the late Roscoe Born)…making us wonder every second if his turn is real. Here’s hoping they do it since any scene featuring Kober and Francis together is gold.

Best Siblings
Hands down, you could spin off Martin and his half-sister Laura hiding out in witness protection into a new show and it would be must-see viewing. These two vets show everyone how it’s done with their razor-sharp comedic timing and ability to dig deep for the drama as well. Kudos to both actors and here’s hoping we get to see more of them getting to know each other and bonding.

GH Quick Takes

Best Character To Get More Family
While General Hospital didn’t exactly need yet another back-from-the-dead character this year (Sonny, Victor, Drew, Peter–seriously?!?), expanding Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) family with his father Marshall’s return is to be applauded. Here’s hoping there’s a story worthy of both actors coming in 2022.

Best Uniform
Brook Lynn’s blazer. That thing will never come off, not even in the steam room.

Best Reaction
When Kristina Corinthos Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) saw her father back from the dead, she was EVERYTHING!

Best Shoulder to Lean On
Hands down, that goes to Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy), who managed to chastise Nina’s actions while still remaining her friend and sounding board. Tough love with a gentle touch — fantastic addition to Port Charles and Charlie’s.

Best Friendship Circle
The teen (well, not for too much longer) scene can’t be beat! We love how they are all there for each other! The addition of Nicholas Alexander Chavez as an aged-up Spencer Cassadine has been incredible.

Most Poignant Child Performance
Easton Rocket Sweda touches our collective cold dead hearts whenever he appears onscreen as Leo Falconeri. Here’s hoping we see far more of him and his on-screen parents, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) as they go on his Autism journey together.

Best Villain
Victor looks ready to unseat Cyrus (whom we LOVE) as the new Big Bad in town and we are so here for it.

Most Fun Couple
We thought Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) were a shoo-in for this one (and frankly, they are), but they need to watch out next year for stiff competition from Lucy (Lynn Herring) and Martin if he ends up choosing her over Valentin.

Non-Couple With Most Potential
BLQ and Chase trying to avoid their feelings for each other is giving us all the feels. Keep up the slow burn — it’s so soapy and we love it! Honorable mention goes to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and her blossoming friendship (?) with Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel). Will GH really go there? Yes, please!

Best Unnecessary Heartbreak
Kudos must be given to Sofia Mattsson (Sasha Gilmore) and Johnny Wactor (Brando Corbin) for acting the heck out of their incredibly sad story of the loss of baby Liam. Not at all what fans want from their Christmas soap viewing, but both actors certainly delivered the goods and then some.

DAYS Spoilers For December 31: Everyone Wants To Help Console Sami

The DAYS spoilers for Friday, December 31, 2021, tease the clock ticking towards midnight on New Year’s Eve. You won’t want to miss this all-new episode, especially since it’s the only soap airing a new one on Friday.

DAYS Spoilers Highlights

Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) knows from bad husbands (hello Nick!), so it only seems fitting, that as 2022 gives way to 2023 (lest anyone forget that DAYS is now one full year ahead of our current timeline), it is she who consoles a disillusioned Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney).

What makes even more sense, however, is Sami seeking further consolation from Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), her besotted ex-husband.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Making Amends

Having finally realized that it’s not a good look for her to shun Chanel Dupree DiMera’s (Raven Bowens) affections – which are clearly reciprocated – and still get salty when the young woman moves on with another partner, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) decides that amends must be made.

To that end, she purchases the cheapest bottle of bubbly in the store (hey, she’s not that sorry), and heads for chez DiMera, where she apologizes for her reaction to Chanel and Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) marriage.

But will her, “I’m sorry,” be enough? Will it undo the damage that’s been done to Chanel and Allie’s friendship, not to mention the brother/sister bond shared between Allie and her twin, Johnny? Stay tuned.

DOOL Spoilers: New Day, New Year Dawning

Despite being a little worse for wear (hey, you try having the Devil exorcised out of your body, and see how you look come the next morning), Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) gets the all-clear from a medico at University Hospital (most likely Jackie of All Trades Kayla Brady Johnson [Mary Beth Evans]), and heads back to the penthouse she shares with her victim *ahem* husband.

Opposite this, look for Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) to count their ample blessings, and to decide that they are actually looking forward to what the new year brings…their little bundle of joy in particular.

The Young and the Restless – The List Of The Absolute Best Of The Best of 2021

On The Young and the Restless, plenty happened in 2021. From new babies to new relationships and weddings, we break down all the best parts of the CBS daytime drama for the past year.

The Young and the Restless: The Best of 2021

Throughout 2021, the residents of Genoa City experienced plenty of highs and some lows too. For the production, it marked the second year of filming amid a global pandemic, and they managed to create some memorable, dramatic, and fun storylines.

Best New Way To Tell Storylines
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the soap got creative with telling stories. As a result, many things happened off-screen, which became difficult for viewers because characters informed viewers about the events rather than things happening on-screen.

In the second half of the year, the soap used a new way to tell these types of storylines. Instead of just having characters talk about significant events that happened off-screen, viewers got to see flashback clips. One of the best examples was how we got to see Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) emotional testimony against her grandfather without the soap bringing in lots of extras for a courtroom scene.

Best Off-Screen Wedding
While we hated not seeing Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) wedding, we love the bits and pieces we’ve gleaned from other characters’ comments and the information we received from Kyle and Summer themselves.

For instance, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) told us a bit about how Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) performed his flower boy duties. Later, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) revealed that Summer had forgotten her bouquet, and she went back to get it.

Best Grandmother
Genoa City boasts plenty of grandmothers. However, for 2021, one really stood above the rest. Given that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) was away on his secret mission when Dominic was born, we appreciated seeing Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) step up to help Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) with her newborn baby.

She helped her daughter-in-law through those rough first weeks and months, which made all the difference for Abby as she navigated motherhood without Chance by her side. Anything that brings Nina to Genoa City is tops in our book.

Best Grandfather
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) became a brand new grandfather unexpectedly. When Harrison turned out to be Kyle’s son, Jack stepped right into his new role, and we loved seeing him enjoy his grandchild. Now, if we could only get Jack a new romance (not necessarily a new old romance, though).

Best Villain
While Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) inexplicably returned to kidnap Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), forcing her to spend several weeks of her pregnancy alone and scared, he wasn’t The Young and the Restless’s best villain. Instead, the best baddie in Genoa City turned out to be Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). For a while, she didn’t seem to be a villain, but in the end, her embezzlement came out, and she ended up in the slammer. It’s not like she ended up drugging anybody’s drinks, though.

Best Confusing Back Story
Speaking of Tara, her ex-husband Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) ended 2021 with the best confusing back story. It seemed like things with the “Locke-ness Monster” changed each week. Perhaps it was meant to be that way, but sometimes it worked out almost like the storyline changed mid-stream.

Ultimately, Ashland, born Robert DeFranco, stole the real Ashland’s identity when his friend died at age 17. Then, later, he stole his benefactor Camilla Rhodes’s money from a cat sanctuary. Oh, and somewhere in there, Ashland ended up competing against John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) for businesses. Despite the confusing nature of Ashland’s past, he ended up being a bright spot in 2021.

Best Faked Illness
We thought that Ashland faked his cancer for a while, but that hasn’t seemed to be the case so far. Because of that, we think the best-faked illness on The Young and the Restless goes to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

Although Chelsea’s illness began as an injury, she ultimately continued faking it after she got better. While she supposedly healed, Chelsea, instead, helped her pal to frame Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) for the attempted murder of Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).

Best Surprising Exit
It seemed that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) had more stories left to tell, especially since he ended up being connected to the Abbott family through his grandmother Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). So when he left Genoa City in February, we felt surprised to see such a promising character go. Still, in true soap fashion, he dropped the giant bomb about Harrison’s paternity before he left.

B&B Spoilers Recap For Dec. 30: Douglas Caught Brooke Kissing Santa

B&B spoilers recap for Thursday, December 30, 2021, features Douglas Forrester catching his grandma in a rather compromising position with none other than Deacon Sharpe!

B&B Spoilers Recap Highlights

Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) was a boozy mess and quickly switched up from her “non-alcoholic” champagne to shots to celebrate her “night alone.” Of course, she wasn’t alone. Deacon (Sean Kanan) was there too and it wasn’t long before they were sharing the Santa hat, reminiscing about their affair, and making out on the couch.

What neither of them knew is little Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) was on the hunt for his stuffed rabbit “Peanut Butter” and saw the whole thing. He wandered up to the mansion to find his lost toy and got a glimpse of the liplock through the window.

B&B Recap: Playing The Field

Also kissing the wrong man was Paris Buckingham (Diamond White). She quickly, efficiently, and kindly stopped Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) from taking out the ring by boasting about how great their single lives were right now. Zende was crushed but he didn’t know that Paris knew about the ring and took the conversation at face value.

Instead of finishing off the night with her boyfriend, Paris ran right to the office to see Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor). She thanked him profusely for the heads up. She showed her gratitude with a sizzling hot kiss. Carter didn’t back away.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: NYE Highlights

The scene at the cliff house was all about family as everyone tricked Kelly into thinking it was midnight. It was a good time had by all, even after Kelly pricked her finger on the cactus. Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) kissed her booboo and then took a call from Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). He wished them all well.

Days of our Lives – The Absolute Best Of The Best Of 2021

Over a 12-month period, every soap opera will have a dip, a lull, a low – and Days of our Lives is no different. But why dwell on the occasional misfire, when you can accentuate the positives, and celebrate the very best of the best?

The Absolute Best Of Days of our Lives – 2021

Best Duck and Weave: Introducing DevilDoug
When word began to spread that Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) wasn’t quite himself and that he’d begun to grow forgetful, fans prepared themselves to bid a prolonged goodbye to a beloved character…but they needn’t have feared. It wasn’t dementia stealing away their precious Doug – it was the Prince of Darkness. Talk about a twist!

Best New Character: Paulina Price
Since her March 2021 debut, Jackée Harry’s Paulina Price has educated, sassed, and upended the lives of Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) [by revealing that she, and not Tamara Price, is Lani’s bio mom] and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) [with her never-ending stream of lies and half-truths], and very nearly bulldozing Salem’s most iconic landmark – Horton Square.

Though Paulina has her detractors, both onscreen and off, there’s one undeniable fact – since she came a-calling, there hasn’t been a dull moment in Salem.

Best Recast: Chanel Dupree
Taking over an already established role is never an easy feat – and having to begin your first scene on a crying jag over a betrayal your predecessor played out only compounds the issue. But actress Raven Bowens rose to the occasion, and she has undoubtedly made the character her own.

Honorable Mention:
Though he’s yet to appear on DAYS properly, Zach Tinker has proven himself a worthy successor to Freddie Smith in several of the soap’s supplements. Here’s hoping Tinker will soon display his considerable acting chops – not to mention on-point chemistry with TV husband Chandler Massey – on the parent program.

Best Return: Sami Brady DiMera
The soap press, and her many fans, haven’t dubbed Alison Sweeney’s alter ego Hurricane Sami for nothing. Need a wedding crashed; have a caper that needs a stooge; in desperate want of a hellcat to wreck shop and upend the lives of friends and foes alike? Look no further than Mrs. DiMera.

Best Special Guest Star: Marla Gibbs
If you’re going to introduce a foil for the larger-than-life Paulina, then why wouldn’t you do so in the personage of Jackée Harry’s 227 sparring partner Marla Gibbs? It’s truly a match made in TV heaven – and a no-brainer.

Best Storyline: The Devil Went Down to Salem
In addition to serving as a showcase for the incomparable Deidre Hall, the (re)possession of Dr. Marlena Evans Black is an all-encompassing tale, a true umbrella storyline that has touched nearly every single character on the canvas – and the ones not directly or indirectly involved at least comment on the wild and wacky goings-on. Can any other soap in daytime claim that they have such a far-reaching tale? We think not.

Best Super-couple: Jarlena
As if a little thing like possession can come between Days of our Lives’ reigning love match. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena have survived far worse in over 35 years, and lived to tell the tale…and if they can beat the Devil once, they can surely do so again.

Best Villain: Lucifer Morningstar
DAYS is chockablock with baddies – some recurring, some on contract. But none of them, not even the likes of Vivian Alamain nor Kristen DiMera can compete with Old Scratch himself…though something tells us that those women wouldn’t mind giving it the old college try.

Most Blasphemous Moment: Xander Who’s a Horton
Now Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) has done some questionable things in the past, but we’ve been able to look past all that. But to dare ask Julie, and with a straight face no less, “Who’s Alice Horton?” …why that’s just criminal!

Most Rejuvenated Character(s): The DAYS Vets
James Reynolds, Bill Hayes, and Susan Seaforth Hayes spent 2021 enmeshed in several front burner storylines ranging from poignant to camp. Inarguably, this is where the trio always belongs.

Most Surprising Use of History: DAYS Goes Out on A Limb
It’s been years, 16 to be exact since Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) lost his leg while serving as a Marine…and it’d be understandable if that fact escaped you. It’s been near that many years since a head writing regime remembered it themselves.

Honorable Mention: Earlier this year, when Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) schemed to overtake DiMera Enterprises, DAYS wisely recalled never seen, rarely mentioned DiMera kin including Peter Blake and Steven Hawk.

Find Out Which of Your Favorite Soap Operas Are Airing New Year’s Eve

The turbulent year 2021 is coming to a close, having knocked soap operas off the air for various events, and that isn’t going to change on the last weekday of the year. New Year’s Eve is happening tomorrow and it’s wreaking havoc with your favorite soaps. Find out if yours is airing a new episode, a repeat, or not at all with this handy schedule below.

Soap Operas For New Year’s Eve

Let’s start with Days of our Lives. Just as they did when COVID was ravaging soundstages everywhere, DAYS is managing to show a brand-new episode on New Year’s Eve. Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) will be a wreck and need to be consoled by not just Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) but also her ex, who is still madly in love with her, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo). Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) has some serious crow to eat when she apologizes to her BFF Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens), but will it be too little too late?

As for General Hospital, the show will air, but it will be a repeat from February 24, 2021. As a refresher, expect to see Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) passionately defend Peter August (Wes Ramsey) to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) trying to make amends with Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero). Also, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) wonders what Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will do next as Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) barely avoids getting caught doing some sleuthing!

Meanwhile, CBS will be wiping their slate of soap operas clean as The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful won’t even be showing repeats, never mind new episodes! Instead, they will be pre-empted for sports programming. Look for all of the shows to return in the new year with brand new episodes on Monday.

The Bold and the Beautiful – The Absolute Best Of The Best Of 2021

Over a 12-month period, every soap opera will have a dip, a lull, a low – and The Bold and the Beautiful is no different. But why dwell on the occasional misfire, when you can accentuate the positives, and celebrate the very best of the best?

The Absolute Best of The Bold and the Beautiful – 2021

Best Affair: Quinn and Carter
We saw it coming and boy, was it hot! Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer) made unlikely friends with Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) and volunteered to go over to Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) to try to get him to reconcile with the Forrester model.

Along the way, Quinn ended up opening up to Carter about her own troubled marriage to Eric Forrester (John McCook). Then, Quinn and Carter began a romp that was not only sexually charged but filled with genuine feelings. Both actors made the choice to play the love and, as a result, viewers were (are?) rooting for the duo dubbed “Quarter.”

Best Returns: Sheila and Deacon
Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) gave ‘wedding crasher’ a whole new meaning when she showed up at Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) wedding. Stepping out of the literal shadows, Sheila let Finn know that she was his birth mother — the woman he always wanted to find.

The bride and groom didn’t even get to go on their honeymoon before there was conflict in their union. Finn’s mother is Steffy’s mortal enemy. Brown stepped back into Sheila’s deviousness with great ease. She knows how to give that wicked smirk that means big trouble.

Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) got past her smooch with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and his fake marriage to Shauna but that doesn’t mean the couple is problem-free. Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) back and we’re waiting for Brooke’s attraction to the bad boy to get the better of her once again. Ridge is right to be concerned about Deacon.

Best Recast: Krista Allen as Taylor Hayes
This doctor is in! Viewers have accepted Allen’s Taylor without hesitation. The actress has got a handle on all of Taylor’s key relationships. She’s strong, loyal, loving, and, as we’ve come to see, incredibly forgiving. We have a feeling that Taylor’s not going to let anyone get the better of her as we head into 2022. Bonus: Allen is interactive with the show’s fans on social media! She loves being back on The Bold and the Beautiful!

Best Friend: Shauna Fulton
The Logan women may not like Quinn very much but she has to be doing something right to have the loyalty of Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards). When Zoe spied a jacket that she’d seen in Carter’s bedroom, Shauna stepped forward and claimed the article of clothing in order to keep suspicion from falling on Quinn.

Best Reunion: Hope and Liam
We’re not going to say that Vinny’s (Joe LoCicero), umm, ‘murder mystery’ was our favorite story. Far from it, in fact. However, we can’t deny that it was a real tearjerker moment when we saw Liam (Scott Clifton) being carted off to prison from the local hoosegow.

Before the prison van made it out of the parking lot, however, word came down that Liam was innocent. Cut to Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam running towards each other and embracing. They got another chance at happiness and we got teary-eyed.

Best New Parents: Jack and Li Finnegan.
Weddings are all about the bride and groom spending time with the other’s family. Enter Jack and Li Finnegan, played by Ted King and Naomi Matsuda. The couple got to play out some heavy emotional scenes on The Bold and the Beautiful as Jack revealed that he was Finn’s biological father in addition to being his adoptive dad. Matsuda played Li as rightfully betrayed and devastated. Let’s hope we see more of these two in 2022.

Best Breakdown: Justin Barber
Liam being cleared of Vinny’s murder would have happened much earlier if Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) didn’t kidnap Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) to keep him from revealing that Vinny committed suicide. After Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) learned that Justin wanted to take over his company, he demanded answers. Barber gave a tour-de-force as Justin blasted Bill for treating him like a puppet for many years, which drove Barber to commit a crime of opportunity.

Best Grace Under Pressure: Eric Forrester
Erectile dysfunction is a serious topic and one that can be devastating to a man’s ego and love life. Eric’s condition became a hot topic at Forrester Creations (WHERE is the company’s human resources representative?) and Eric’s decision to ‘fix’ the situation by allowing Carter and Quinn to continue their affair was questionable at best.

What wasn’t in question, however, was John McCook’s on-screen performance as Eric. The actor brought dignity to his character’s reasoning — he loved Quinn so much that he’d do anything to keep her in his life. Fortunately, as it often does, love won out in the end.

Exclusive: General Hospital Stars Answer Burning New Year’s Questions

The aftermath of Christmas can be daunting. It is hard to even imagine thinking of what the New Year will bring. Soap Hub rounded up some of your General Hospital favorites to find out what they are looking forward to in the New Year, personally and for their characters.

General Hospital Faves in 2022: Personally And Professionally

What do you look forward to most in 2022?
Genie Francis (Laura Collins): I am hoping that 2022 will hold the end of the pandemic. I am looking forward to a celebratory trip with my husband for our milestone birthdays.

Kathleen Gati (Liesl Obrecht): I look forward to an end to COVID and good health for everyone. And I look forward to continued sharing of story and love with our General Hospital fans.

Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli): Traveling. Like so many we had to cancel a lot of plans…both with my family, and touring with Steve doing our comedy show. Here’s hoping that 2022 is full of both comedy shows and traveling adventures with my wife and daughters.

Sydney Mikayla (Trina Robinson): This will probably sound strange, but there’s not one thing in particular that I’m looking forward to, I’m just expecting some great and wonderful things to happen.

Sonya Eddy (Epiphany Johnson): I’m looking forward to seeing my family a little bit more this coming year. I’ve maintained lockdown as far as distant travel was concerned.

What would you like to see for your General Hospital character in 2022?
Genie Francis: For my character in 2022, I would love to see Laura and Cyrus have another story and more of her kids and grandkids in her life.

Kathleen Gati: Lots of passion, love, laughter, more mama tigress, and of course doing dastardly things…when necessary!

Bradford Anderson: I’m hoping Spinelli finds a way to both support Maxie in her new life (without Peter!) and maybe take on more responsibility in the Corinthos organization. HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

Sydney Mikayla: Well, Sprina, of course.

Sonya Eddy: Epiphany is ready for a new relationship I think. She’s spent enough time being sad about Milo!

DAYS Spoilers Photos: A New Year’s Eve No One Will Ever Forget

DAYS spoilers photos for Friday, December 31, 2021, are here! Catch a glimpse of your favorite Salemites stirring up drama.

It’s party time in Salem and everyone is dressed in their party mode best, including Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams). They show up to drink champagne at the DiMera mansion but find their hosts tucked into bed instead.

Don’t worry, though, it takes no time at all for Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and his blushing bride to get themselves together. Chanel Dupree DiMera shines in her dress while her husband is decked out in red. Johnny’s crimson suit is just what he needs to make a fiery announcement.

It’s a low-key night for Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and his wife. He and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) are in for a treat when Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) comes knocking. She is there to make amends. Of course, no apologies are needed.

The Young and the Restless Alum Donny Boaz Suffers a Personal Loss

Donny Boaz, formerly Chance on The Young and the Restless, has shared some heartbreaking news. His fans are reaching out to the actor with words of support as the actor has lost a dear family member.

Donny Boaz Pays Tribute To His Late Stepfather

“It’s with a very heavy and sad heart that I post this,” Boaz wrote on social media. “One of the most important people in my life, my step-dad, Pastor Jerry Skelton, passed away yesterday morning. I’ve known this man since I was 10 years old.

“I created so many headaches for this man growing up, we didn’t always see eye to eye, but he is one of the most honorable men I’ve even known,” Boaz added. “And Honor to him to which Honor is due. I’ve never known someone to be as giving and selfless as this man. A pastor for 57 years, he has literally touched thousands of lives, including my own. No one prayed for me more and he molded me into the man I am today.

Boaz’s Step-Dad Appeared in a Movie

“You will be missed and I hope someday I’m at least half the dad that you didn’t have to be,” Boaz concluded. Skelton became a pastor at the age of 24. He attended Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas, and received honorary doctorates from other seminaries. Skelton and his choir sang in an evangelistic service at Madison Square Garden in New York City for 22,000 attendees.

Skelton and his choir took part in the 1997 film The Apostle, which starred Robert Duvall, Farrah Fawcett, and Billy Bob Thornton. The pastor wed Boaz’s mother Tami McGuire Boaz in 1993. Soap Hub sends sincere condolences to Donny Boaz and Pastor Skelton’s family at this difficult time.

The End: Has Gwen Blown Her Days of our Lives Chance With Xander?

No one ever accused Gwen Rizczech of being a nice person on Days of our Lives. She’s lied and schemed and stolen and lied some more. But she’s also fallen in love. With Xander Cook. A guy who knows from lying and scheming and stealing. Except he also fell in love. With Sarah Horton. It was only when he thought that Sarah had dumped him for Rex Brady that he moved on with Gwen.

Days of our Lives Polling

Now, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) is keeping the secret that Sarah didn’t dump Xander (Paul Telfer). She was kidnapped and is being held prisoner by Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). Will this ruin her second chance with Xander? What almost 5,000 viewers think should happen:

DOOL: Forget About It

Once Xander learns of Gwen’s deception, that’ll be all she wrote, 69% of the audience predicts. Gwen was always the second choice for him, and while he might have held onto some feelings if Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) returned without Gwen knowing anything about it, the alternative makes any shred of forgiveness impossible.

Every Little Days of our Lives Detail

Xander won’t dump Gwen until he knows every last fib she told. And 25% of you know Gwen will do whatever is necessary to make sure that doesn’t happen for as long as possible. Gwen has a way of making Xander feel sorry for her. Did she mention she had a sad childhood? Did she mention she had a miscarriage? Doesn’t he want to comfort her some more?

DOOL: Great Minds

Only 6% suspect Xander will understand why Gwen did what she did. And that he’ll forgive her for it. After all, it’s not like he hadn’t done similar underhanded things. And for causes a lot less noble than the one of holding on to a wonder of a man like Xander. He’ll admire her dedication to him!

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Don Diamont Celebrates His Birthday

Bill Spencer has been continuing to try to win back the love of Katie Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful, but there’s nothing but love for actor Don Diamont. And there’s even more being directed towards the actor today.

Happy Birthday, Don Diamont

That’s because he was born on December 31, 1962, in New York City, New York, which means that this talented actor is turning 59 years old today! Diamont – born Donald Feinberg – adopted his mother’s maiden name soon after landing an agent. He began his career as a model, eventually becoming much-sought-after by titans in the industry.

In 1984, Diamont was hand-picked by Ken Corday to appear on Days of our Lives. Diamont played Carlo Forenza for a full year and then accepted a role on a competing soap opera, The Young and the Restless.

At Y&R, he played gardener Brad Carlton, who exploited both his business acumen and good looks to climb Genoa City’s social ladder. By the early 1990s, Brad was a respected Jabot executive wed to the boss’s daughter.

Diamont exited the role of Brad in 1996 to pursue other acting opportunities and he subsequently appeared on Baywatch, Diagnosis Murder, and High Tide. He made a triumphant return to Y&R in 1998, and he remained there until executives released him from his contract in 2009, killing the beloved character as he saved another.

In March of that year, it was announced that Diamont had accepted an offer to join the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful, and he made his debut on May 12 and has remained as “Dollar” Bill Spencer ever since.

In 1990, Diamont became the first daytime actor to be included in People Magazine’s list of Most Beautiful People In the World. Nineteen years later, the magazine declared him the Sexiest Veteran Soap Actor.

Outside of his acting and modeling career, Diamont is an active contributor and advocate for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and he is known for being the spokesman for Sure Ultra Dry products and the Morris Home Furnishings store in Dayton, Ohio.

We would like to wish Don Diamont a very happy birthday!

GH Spoilers For January 3: Carly Leans On Drew Since Jason’s Gone

GH spoilers for Monday, January 3, 2022, reveal a heart-to-heart talk, tough love, a promise, and so much more. You won’t want to miss a dramatic moment of this new episode.

GH Spoilers Highlights

Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is feeling completely lost after learning about Sonny Corinthos and Nina Reeves’s secret Nixon Falls love connection. Whenever she’s spiraling, she’s always had Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to call back on. She goes to his bridge to feel closer but finds his twin. Consolation prize in hand, Carly confides in Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Drew asks if it’s possible that she blames herself.

Speaking of the two who are definitely not a couple (sure, Jan), Nina (Cynthia Watros) has managed to get a drunk Sonny (Maurice Benard) safely somewhere that isn’t Charlie’s and hopefully doesn’t have any more alcohol. Filled with recriminations about how he’s hurt Carly, he probably makes it plain that he can’t do anything with Nina, cause she responds that that pretty much says it all. Or does it?

General Hospital Spoilers:

Sonny doesn’t have a monopoly on self-recriminations — perhaps it’s what he and ex Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) bonded over back in the day. Now it’s Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) turn to handle the down-and-not-quite-out lawyer. She shows Alexis some tough love when she wallows in self-pity. Harmony even says they both know that she’s worth more than that.

Also enjoying the party at the Savoy is Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), who reveals that she’s looking forward to a fresh start in the new year. She certainly has people in her corner, making sure she gets that chance. Mom Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) is on hand, determined to be there for her and keep her safe from Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) tells Felicia she is in, no matter what it takes.

General Hospital: Staying Safe

You can bet Felicia’s husband Mac Scorpio (John J. York) wants in on that and also makes a promise. Mac notes to Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that someone will be free to do something but what and who is he talking about? Whomever it is, that’s what Laura is afraid of. Could they mean her half-brother, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), or is Peter no longer in a coma?

Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) goes to General Hospital to check on a patient. Three guesses (and the first two don’t count) that it’s Peter. His sister Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is also on hand and says they both know Victor has a lot to celebrate. Has Peter woken up and cleared him? Or is something else going on?

DAYS Spoilers For January 3: Many Salem Couples Ring In The New Year

The DAYS spoilers for Monday, January 3, 2022, tease a new day, and a new year dawning, exes reconnecting, and more. You won’t want to miss this very special, celebratory episode.

DAYS Spoilers Highlights

The spouse’s Johnson join John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and a Devil free Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) for New Year’s Eve festivities…which says a lot about the power of friendship, given that just two weeks ago, Marlena was attempting to cave Kayla Brady Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) head in. But hey, the Devil literally made her do it. Bygones.

Despite her earlier, less than accepting reaction to the news that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) were now a married couple, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) bravely accompanies Tripp Johnson (Lucas Addams) to the newlyweds’ home, hat and a bottle of bubbly in hand.

And because Chanel and Johnny are good people – and just plain better than Allie – they magnanimously accept her gift, and apology, and invite her and Tripp to see in the New Year in style.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Second Chance

Distraught over the belief that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) orchestrated her kidnapping, Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) turns to her second favorite lover (and second favorite husband) Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) for comfort.

The irony that Lucas is actually the one responsible for Sami’s snatching is not lost on the audience…nor is Sami’s sudden suggestion that she and Lucas hit the road, together, in order to rebuild their relationship. Who says that crime doesn’t pay?

DOOL Spoilers: The Truth Will Out

Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) has something to get off her chest – and that something leaves Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) floored. But is Kate really about to reveal the truth about Philip Kiriakis’s (Jay Kenneth Johnson) plan to frame Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) for his murder? Or does she have yet another secret weighing on her conscience.

Recalling The Best Young and the Restless New Year’s Eve Kisses

New Year’s Eve on The Young and the Restless almost always brings a kiss or five between characters. Sometimes they’re unexpected and others not so much. Occasionally, they’re even hallucinated. No matter what type of kiss, throughout the years some of your Genoa City’s favorites received a lovely smooch to ring in the New Year.

Young and the Restless: Best New Year’s Eve Kisses

In 1989, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Reed (Melody Thomas Scott) attended a wedding. Nikki was there with Jim Grainger (John O’Hurley). They danced together, and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) paid the man in charge of the music to play Nikki and Victor’s song. When that song played, Nikki acquiesced to Victor’s request for another dance, and they shared a kiss. Jim wasn’t pleased when he saw it.

In the waning moments of 1996, many of Genoa City’s finest gathered at Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) mansion to ring in the New Year. She and John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) shared a loving kiss while Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton) looked on in jealousy and Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) wished her a happy New Year.

The same year, Grace Turner (then Josie Davis) hallucinated kissing her best friend Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) husband, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). However, when reality set in, Sharon and Nick kissed while Grace locked lips with Tony Viscardi (then Nick Scotti).

Modern Memorable NYE Moments

When Genoa City rang in 2010, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Chance Chancellor (then John Driscoll) couldn’t even wait for midnight. Chance did his own early countdown and smooched Chloe early and then again as the New Year rang in.

Speaking of Chloe, she had another memorable moment on New Year’s Eve when she finally admitted her feelings for Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) a mere year later as Genoa City said goodbye to 2010. Wearing her pajamas, Chloe found Kevin outside Jimmy’s Bar. Even though it wasn’t at a fancy party, Kevin and Chloe shared a kiss for the ages that night.

As the clock wound down on 2013, fan-favorite couple, Sharon and Nick shared an exciting kiss to ring in 2014. It’s just too bad that Nick had no clue the part Sharon played in Phyllis Summer’s (Michelle Stafford) coma or the paternity switch for Summer Newman (Hunter King).

Then Young and the Restless in 2014 saw Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Kevin smooching as the clock struck 12. It seemed like their close friendship might grow into a lovely romantic relationship. However, their ill-fated foray into something more than friendship didn’t last too long. Perhaps it’s because Mariah hadn’t admitted that she also liked girls. When she and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) finally kissed in August 2017, it started a whole new chapter for Mariah.

In 2018, a sad Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) saw a kiss that never really went any further between Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) and Fenmore “Fen” Baldwin (Zach Tinker). It seems like the whole point was to make Kyle jealous, and poor Fen ended up the odd man out, eventually.

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) enjoyed one on New Year’s 2019. Poor Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) let her go to be with his brother. At the time, Adam and Chelsea had no idea that she’d end up injured as a result of his machinations against Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), and she’d frame him for attempted murder. Good times.

Who could forget Sharon and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) tying the knot on New Year’s Eve 2020? The couple shared an intimate wedding after a year of Sharon fighting breast cancer, and they sealed the deal in the traditional way. It looks like they’ve lasted at least a year. We expect they’ll kiss once more to ring in 2022 as well. Who else will? Stay tuned.

B&B Spoilers for January 3: There Are No Reasons, Only Excuses

B&B spoilers for Monday, January 3, 2021, promises two ladies trying to pick up the pieces after a night of very bad decisions. Will they be able to do it?

B&B Spoilers Highlights

It’s a bad day to be Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang). She wakes up full of guilt and shame knowing she has messed up her whole life. The big question is, what will she do about it?

Bold and Beautiful: Secrets Keep You Sick

Brooke has two options here. She can either cover up her sins and hope her secret stays buried or tell on herself, beg for forgiveness, and get herself some help. This is a defining moment sure to show what kind of person Brooke really is.

Obviously, Brooke’s biggest threat is Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan). It’s one thing for her to tuck this all away — it’s a whole other thing to keep Deacon quiet. He’s been dying for a chance to ruin her marriage and now he has it. Brooke better hope he doesn’t use it.

B&B Spoilers: Sister Act?

Also feeling a tinge of regret is Paris Buckingham (Diamond White). She sits Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) down and explains exactly why she did what she did and what she wants going forward. And, yes, Carter wants to hear it. He deserves to hear it. Paris kissed him and he wants to know what that means, if it means anything at all. Was he just a distraction or is there something between them?

Is Paris more like her sister than she realized? Talk about history repeating itself. Zoe Buckingham chased Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) when Carter wanted to get serious. Now, Paris is trying to self sabotage her romance by using the men against each other. When will this madness stop?

She’s ostensibly there to reaffirm their friendship, but after apologizing for her attitude, Abby drops the bombshell that she and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) have decided to forgo allowing Devon any extra access to baby Dominic…a decision that Devon will find untenable.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Fashion Forward

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) cross paths at Crimson Lights, and the latter makes a point of referencing the all-nighter she pulled with the former’s ex.

In response, a clearly peeved Chelsea takes great pleasure in vetoing several suggestions made by Sally in reference to Newman Fashions. The catty back-and-forth is brought to a halt by Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson), but it becomes clear to Chloe that something – or someone – will have to give in order for the trio to succeed in moving forward.

Y&R Spoilers: Odds and Ends

In other Y&R spoilers news, Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) encourages Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) to explore a new opportunity, Amanda counsels Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) reflect on the year that was.

Meanwhile, despite a difference of opinion between Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) – the gals’ fellow partner-in-scheme – manages to turn the tables on arch-rival Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)…but will it be enough to merit vindication for Billy and victory for Victoria?

Finally, The Young and the Restless spoilers warn there’s already trouble in paradise for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), who’ll soon be facing a conflict of interest.

GH Spoilers for the Week of January 3: Fear, Despair, and Romance

Still, Drew gently presses her, and Carly eventually opens up about her recent travails, but only briefly. Will letting some of her feelings off her chest make things better for Carly — or worse?

General Hospital Spoilers: Straight Talk

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) finds her fortunes changing for the better – an offer to teach at PCU here, an offer to work at The Invader there…so it’s naturally time to self-sabotage. Luckily for Alexis, she’s in for some tough love courtesy of Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel).

GH: Odds and Ends

In other GH spoilers news, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) take an important step in their relationship, Liz Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) readies herself for her and Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) first official date, and Michael Corinthos Quartermaine (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) find themselves on opposing sides – no doubt in relation to how to best handle the annoyance that is Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Also, look for things to get a lot worse for Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) before they get better…especially with a well-meaning Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) on the scene.

Meanwhile, a new obstacle threatens to topple Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Maxie Jones’s (Kirsten Storms) precariously balanced house of cards. How much more can this scheme-team weather before buckling under the pressure?

Finally, General Hospital spoilers warn of some devastating news that is soon to hit Port Charles.

Bold and the Beautiful Alum, Betty White, Has Passed Away At 99

A few weeks shy of her 100th birthday comes news that The Bold and the Beautiful alum, Betty White, beloved for The Mary Tyler Moore Show, the Golden Girls, and Hot in Cleveland, has passed away at 99 years old.

Betty White Has Passed Away

TMZ broke the sad news Friday, having heard from law enforcement that she passed away at her home on Friday morning.

Betty White was born on January 17, 1922, in Oak Park, Illinois, the only child of Horace and Christine White. Her parents gave her the birth name of Betty so that she wouldn’t have to deal with all of the nicknames or derivatives associated with Elizabeth. Her father was a lighting company executive and her mother was a housewife. The family moved to Los Angeles, California when White was just 2 years old.

It was in California and on family trips to the Sierra Nevada that White grew to love animals of all kinds. So much so that she aspired to be a Park Ranger, but women were forbidden to be rangers back then. White channeled her love for animals in other ways throughout her life.

The enterprising young lady graduated from Beverly Hills School in 1939. She went on to attend the Horace Mann School where White turned to writing. She wrote and portrayed the lead in the graduation play and discovered a love for theater arts. Inspired by the likes of Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy, White focused on being an actress. A career spanning more than seven decades was born.

Her career started as “Lou’s Girl” in a short titled A Time to Kill. White moved on to “Phone Girl” for the TV series Hollywood on Television. Things kicked into high gear with her role as Elizabeth in Life With Elizabeth from 1953 through 1955, The Betty White Show in 1954, and Date With The Angels from 1957 – 1958.

Betty White liked to stay busy with work. Over the years, the worker bee appeared as herself and characters on iconic TV shows like The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Betty White Show (1977-1978), The Love Boat, Mama’s Family, St. Elsewhere, The Golden Girls, Bob, That 70s Show, The Practice, Boston Legal, Hot In Cleveland, and more.

White had a sharp quick wit and liked to play games, making her a perfect celebrity guest on game shows such as Make the Connection, I’ve Got A Secret, To Tell The Truth, What’s My Line, Match Game, Tattletales, Hollywood Squares, and, of course, Password, where she met the love of her life, Allen Ludden. She had 2 brief marriages before. Both of her former spouses had wanted her to stay home. Ludden was a widower. Sparks flew and the two married in 1963 and remained blissfully happy until his death in 1981.

When asked by Larry King why she never remarried, White replied, “Once you’ve had the best, who needs the rest?”

The spunky lady tackled a new genre by appearing on soap operas like Another World as Brenda Barlowe and Santa Barbara. In 2006, White took on the role of Ann Douglas, Stephanie and Pam’s mom, on The Bold and the Beautiful, until the character’s death in 2009, winning over many daytime fans in the process.

Television and game shows were not enough to contain White’s contagious energy. She conquered film with roles in movies such as Advise & Consent, With This Ring, Before and After, Chance Of A Lifetime, The Story of Us, Lake Placid, Stealing Christmas, and The Proposal. There was her intensive humanitarian work for animals working with the Morris Animal Foundation, African Wildlife Foundation, Actors and Others for Animals, The Pet Set, and she was on the board of the Los Angeles Zoo Association since 1974.

In the last decade, White returned to her first love and authored several books. The acclaimed multi-talent dynamo has a list of awards as long as her many credits. Betty White was beloved by her many fans, animal activists, and co-workers over the years. She had maintained many special friendships over the years with such greats as Lucille Ball, Liberace, Mary Tyler Moore, Bea Arthur, and the author, John Steinbeck.

While she didn’t have any children of her own, White was a stepmother to Allen Ludden’s three children from his first marriage, David, Martha, and Sarah. We send our condolences to her many fans, friends, and co-workers over the years.

DAYS Spoilers for the Week of January 3: Destruction and Goodbyes

The DAYS spoilers for January 3 – January 7, 2022, tease a romantic triangle’s casualty, a search for answers, and so much more.

DAYS Spoilers Highlights

Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) stumbles upon a gruesome sight: her and Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) beloved, and shared, teddy, Duke, has been decapitated, and his stuffing strewn across the shared Basic Black workspace.

Nicole immediately phones Rafe, and when he arrives she accuses love rival Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) of the wanton destruction…but Rafe is dubious.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Strange Bedfellows

Upon learning that Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) has asked for Abigail Deveraux DiMera’s (Marci Miller) help in tracking down Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) insinuates himself into the investigation.

Though Abby is chagrined by the intrusion, Xander proves himself useful by interrogating Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) and shaking loose the memory of Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) donning a Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) mask in order to break up Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash). Is it possible that such trickery was used on Xander? My goodness, someone in Salem is able to add two plus two and get the right answer!

Finally, DOOL spoilers warn that yet another influx of doom and gloom may soon envelop Salem. Susan Banks (also Stacy Haiduk) has had one of her startling premonitions, and those are never good.

DAYS Spoilers For December 28: Father Eric Brady Is On The Case

The DAYS spoilers for Tuesday, December 28, 2021, tease the banding together of friends and family, the commencement of an exorcism, and preparations made for a special visitor. You won’t want to miss a minute of this festive and frightening episode.

DAYS Spoilers Highlights

Marlena Evans Black’s (Deidre Hall) nearest and dearest are on hand to bear witness to and participate in her exorcism. Chief among the throng is Marlena’s son, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), who returned from the Congo and recently re-ordained. To quote MarDevil, “Whoooooo!”

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Christmas Fear

While the likes of John Black (Drake Hogestyn), Belle Brady Black (Martha Madison), Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) will try and fail to bypass the Devil and get through to Marlena, it’s Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) and Sami Brady DiMera’s (Alison Sweeney) attempts that will tickle the evil one most.

After all, Lucas is harboring a whopper of a secret – he’s the one who spirited Sami away to the cabin in snowy Wisconsin – and Sami has committed more sins than the majority of Salemites put together. The irony of pleas from this duo will not be lost, but instead relished. Given everything that it’s being put through, the Devil needs a good laugh.

DOOL Spoilers: Christmas Cheer

They’ve danced with the Devil, and come out the other side, and now it’s time for the spouses Johnson to squeeze in a little time for romance…even if they have to do so in the midst of preparing for the annual Christmas party at University Hospital.

And as to which of them will don the Santa suit, dole out the toys to the children, and read them The Greatest Story Ever Told, you get three guesses, and the first two don’t count. Hint: It’s the one in the relationship who wears the patch!

B&B Spoilers for December 28: Secret Plans And Devious Deeds

B&B spoilers for Tuesday, December 28, 2021, promises a handsome young man planning his future while a villainess plots to destroy an enemy.

B&B Spoilers Highlights

Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) is ready for more. Way more. Why date for years and really get to know someone when you can propose instead? He tells Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) he has something special planned for New Year’s Eve.

Zende is over the moon at the prospect of getting down on one knee. But, should he stop dreaming so big? Something tells us he may want to keep that ring in his pocket a while longer (or forever).

Bold and Beautiful: Who Is The Evilest Of Them All?

Speaking of plans, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) formulates one of her own. However, unlike Zende, hers is anything but sunshine, roses, and love. No, this is a dark and devious scheme that she hopes ruins lives. Brooke Logan Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) life, at least.

Keep an eye on the She-Devil so you don’t miss a second of this shocking scam. She is out to destroy Brooke and uses her foe’s biggest weakness to take her down. This is evil, underhanded, and could seriously spell disaster if (when) it all goes wrong.

B&B Spoilers: Love And Life, For Now

Unaware that Sheila is after her, Brooke takes advantage of some downtime to get back to basics with her husband. She and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) haven’t had an easy time lately and this longtime couple is in need of a little romance. Will they fix what’s almost broken?

Soap Veteran Lilly Melgar Suffers A Deep Personal Loss

Lilly Melgar, best known to soap fans as Lily Corinthos on General Hospital and Claudia Cortéz on The Bold and the Beautiful, has gone through a heartbreaking loss. Condolences are going out to the actress at this difficult time.

Lilly Melgar Shares News Of Heartbreaking Loss

“Absolutely heartbroken … I LOVED my Karmen ….” Melgar posted on Instagram over the loss of her beloved chicken. “Those close to me knew how I adored her … as @jessica_jimenez_freer said to me when first meeting her ‘You mean to tell me this whole time we all thought you were a Ginger but in reality, you’re really a MaryAnn?!?!’ (In reference to Gilligan’s Island lol).”

Melgar added, “#RIP sweet girl …Thank you for opening up my heart and filling it with joy. She had the BEST personality .. I am sooo going to miss you.”

The actress’s pals reached out with words of support. “Our animals bring us such joy, lessons and unconditional love that it’s sad losing them,” posted @harley.rodriguez. “She knew and felt your love. I’m so sorry.”

The Famous Clink, Boom Moment

Veteran GH fans recall Melgar’s exit from the show as Lily, Sonny’s then-pregnant wife, as the ‘clink, boom!’ moment. While Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) and Jax (Ingo Rademacher) were celebrating their marriage with a champagne toast (that was the ‘clink’), Lily got into Sonny’s car unaware that it was booby-trapped with a bomb (that was the boom!).

After exiting GH, Melgar had a run as Claudia Cortéz on The Bold and the Beautiful. Claudia was paired with Thorne during her time on B&B. Melgar’s also known for her role as Janice on the Amazon Prime series The Bay. Melgar has won two Daytime Emmys for her role as a producer on The Bay. Recently, the actress made her sitcom debut on the peacock’s Kenan, starring Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live). We send sincere condolences to Lilly Melgar at this difficult time.
