Thomas may be celebrating his mother’s homecoming on The Bold and the Beautiful but actor Matthew Atkinson also has reason to be in a festive mood.

That’s because he was born on December 27, 1988, in Marietta, Georgia, which means that this talented performer is turning 33 years old today! Having graduated from a high school in Kennesaw, Georgia, Atkinson relocated to Atlanta where he simultaneously enrolled in a local college and pursued his desire to become an actor.
It was 2009 that proved to be Atkinson’s banner year as he made his television and feature film debut in One Tree Hill and The Blind Side respectively. Subsequent work included guest appearances on such popular programs as Drop Dead Diva and CSI, as well as a starring role in the made-for-TV movie Hot Mess.
In 2012, Atkinson landed the role of Nick Fadden in the ABC Family comedy-drama Jane by Design — appearing in 17 of the 18-episode season – but the series was canceled following the conclusion of its first season.
Between 2013 and 2015, he played Zach in eight episodes of Parenthood, and from 2014 to 2015, he was Austin Travers on CBS’ The Young and the Restless. Other work included guest spots on The Middle, Young and Hungry, and Powerless. Atkinson has played Thomas Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful since 2019.
