Weekly Spoilers/Recaps: December 13-17/20-24, 2021

The Young and the Restless

Sally lands in hot water with the last person in Genoa City with whom you’d want to make that kind of a splash, Billy slips up, Chance notices something that could send him careening into a whole new crisis of confidence, and the holiday spirit abounds as two very special Abbott family members spread cheer. Find out which character will get some help making his list and checking it twice, and which characters will spend Christmas planning their future together …

Week of December 20:

Y&R Restless Rant! Hot topics include Chelsea’s formidable new rival, her next love interest, the terrible “Teriah” story and the man pain holiday train.

Monday, December 20:

Will Victor and Adam finally make a misstep when they plot their next move against Billy? After all, they’re working under the mistaken assumption that their down-on-his-luck foe is back on a bender. Is it possible Billy Boy Abbott might actually get the best of The Mustache?

Elena and Nate take a big step, which can only be moving in together. Will Nate join his lady love in Lola’s former digs above the coffeehouse, or will they find a home to call their own… perhaps close to Amanda and Imani’s new office? We’re certain Imani wouldn’t complain about seeing the hot doctor on a regular basis, and we don’t mean Elena!

When Phyllis extends an invitation to Nick, might our resident redhead and hotelier be experiencing second thoughts about their split? Especially in light of their recent reminiscing session and Jack’s declaration that he couldn’t bear to be hurt by her again?

Y&R’s Jason Thompson spreads joy to the world with a video of his daughter that’ll melt your heart…

Tuesday, December 21:

Hot seat alert! When Victor gives Sally the third degree, will she regret ever inserting herself into the Billy Boy Abbott situation in a bid to help Adam?

Billy visits old habits, but is he truly slipping… or just making it appear that he is in order to keep up his ruse to fool Adam and Victor?

In what is sure to be a heartwarming turn of events from Connor’s point of view, Chelsea and Adam call a truce for Christmas. Question is, how long can it last?

When it comes to one beloved character, Young & Restless seems determined to tease fans in the cruelest way possible. But why? Why? Why?!?

Wednesday, December 22:

Will Chance become awash in a whole new set of doubts when he notices Devon’s bond with Dominic? If so, will he handle it by working overtime to connect with his son… or make the shocking move to banish the billionaire from the Chancellor Estate?!?

When Mariah and Tessa plan their future, will it include having the child that Sharon’s daughter so desperately wants? She did tell her partner it would be the best gift she could ever give her, and it is Christmastime!

Jack and Traci spread some holiday cheer. But who will be the lucky recipients of their holly jolly Abbott Christmas spirit?

Thursday, December 23:

In what is certain to bring some emotional and heart-melting scenes, Nikki and Victor are reminded of the true meaning of Christmas. So hostile takeovers and clandestine affairs …

While Billy may be sliding back into old habits, or at least trying to make it seem as though he’s in crisis, it won’t stop him and Lily from making jingle bells rock, so to speak.

Friday, December 24:

Sounds like a standalone episode to us! Nick’s family and friends help him make a list and check it twice. Will Phyllis’ ex, who has been out of sorts for months, finally realize what’s important and get back on track as he heads into the new year?

If you need a break your relatives — or want to be reminded that hey, it could be crazier — take a moment to climb the gnarled branches of the Newman family tree...

The Bold and the Beautiful

It’s the reunion we’ve really been waiting for as Brooke comes face to face with nemesis Taylor, and the women get down to the nitty gritty of their past. Later, the miracles of the festive season are well and truly alive as La Logan sets aside her differences with yet another rival long enough to celebrate Christmas, and a certain someone decides it’s not the time to freeze Sheila out despite her past transgressions. So grab some hot chocolate or perhaps some figgy pudding, settle in and find out who will do the Kris Kringle routine at the Forrester Estate and how Hope will spend the holiday …

Hot Topics: The Sheila twist we kinda thought was a joke, plus how Deacon and Taylor are going to shake things up.

Week of December 20:

Monday, December 20:

As the lines drawn in the sand become more deeply entrenched, rather than share with one of her sisters, Brooke opens up to Deacon and Hope regarding her concerns about Ridge and Taylor.

Meanwhile, on the other side of said drawn lines, Taylor makes an admission to Ridge as he unburdens himself of his frustrations about Brooke. How did we know Doc would give her old flame a shoulder to lean on?

Tuesday, December 21:

Brooke puts Taylor on the spot when they come face to face for the first time. Will the women manage to keep it civil, or will the situation devolve into a catfight reminiscent of those that qualified theirs as one of Bold & Beautiful’s most unforgettable rivalries?

Deacon delivers the news of Taylor’s return to an unhappy Sheila, who will undoubtedly get straight to plotting about how to eliminate the latest threat to her developing a relationship with her beloved Finn and Hayes. Hopefully, it won’t involve a firearm. Again.

Wednesday, December 22:

Taylor and Brooke consider their past and present, each attempting to figure out the other’s long-term agenda. Um, doesn’t it rhyme with Midge? Hasn’t it always?

Ah, just as we predicted, Sheila decides to take matters into her own hands regarding Finn, Hayes and the holidays. Will Dr. Finnigan’s new family, the Forresters, swoop in to take the jingle right out of the hopeful mom’s jangle as expected, or might there be a Christmas miracle?

Thursday, December 23:

Steffy is stunned by Taylor’s suggestion to invite Sheila to celebrate Christmas with their family. You have questions! What will Steffy’s reaction be to her mother’s totally unexpected proposal? And what seasonal magic prompted the good doctor to take the she-devil off the naughty list?! How spiked was that eggnog?!? Or maybe Taylor wants to kill Sheila...with kindness?!

A little quality time under the mistletoe? It sure sounds like it, as Hope and Liam share a beautiful moment celebrating each other before the holiday begins. If you’d like to do the same — sorry, mistletoe not included —

Friday, December 24:

The spirit of Christmas really is in the air as Sheila extends her gratitude to Taylor for allowing her to spend the holiday with her, Steffy, Finn, Thomas, Kelly and Hayes, and Brooke and Quinn decide to put their differences behind them for the night. Wait, are dreaming?!?

Hope spends time alone with Deacon for Christmas before joining Liam and the children at Eric’s, where Ridge gives a touching speech about the holidays and family before he, Quinn, Brooke, Carter, Zende, Paris, Hope and Liam gather around the piano as Eric leads them in singing a traditional Christmas carol.

General Hospital

Nina finally has to face the music, holiday events are hosted all over town (with mixed results), and Spencer wonders what’s going on between his dad and Trina!

Week of December 13:

GH Soapbox: Selina Wu has become one of our favorite characters in no time flat, while Brad’s surprise return was everything.

Monday, December 13:

Brando and Sasha receive bleak news about Liam, and Liz visits an unconscious Peter with a scalpel. Plus, Drew, Stella and Marshall all pay Curtis a visit.

Since Elizabeth and Finn first they crossed paths, they’re getting ever closer. They share an intimate moment today… which kinda makes us worry, because we all know that on soaps in general and this one in particular, happiness means trouble is right around the corner!

Who reaches out to Anna unexpectedly?

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day… and that’s probably even truer when it provides you to reconnect, the way Trina and Portia do today.

Tuesday, December 14:

Michael testifies against Brad at his parole hearing, but Selina is later seen thanking Sonny. Plus, Finn interferes with Liz’s plans for Peter.

Austin suggests to Britt that she might have a keen interest in a newly-arrived patient.

Maxie’s on pins and needles as she awaits news.

What Sonny does next will definitely catch someone off guard.

Curtis is unhappy when there’s a disturbance at his club.

With a single photo, Laura Wright reveals what it’s really like behind the scenes with her on-screen enemies!

Wednesday, December 15:

Michael confronts Brad, and threatens Selina. Plus, Brook Lynn and Chase get stuck in the sauna, and Liz confides in Portia and Terry.

You can tune in because you want to hear what Chase and Finn have to say… or you can tune in because they have said conversation while stripped down in the steam room. No judgments here, either way.

Alexis may no longer be captive at Spring Ridge, but that doesn’t mean life has simply gone back to normal. Can the Davis girls help their matriarch readjust to life on the outside?

All Willow and Olivia want to do is a little bit of holiday shopping. Is that too much to ask? Apparently so, because things are about to go off the rails! Meanwhile, Michael sees something that will definitely cause his jaw to drop!

Elizabeth, Portia and Terry have a heart-to-heart about the state of their love lives.

James Patrick Stuart’s new series has been picked up… what does it mean for his future as Port Charles’ Valentin.

Thursday, December 16:

Brando and Sasha struggle to make a decision about Liam, Stella meets with Marshall, and Liz and Finn get honest about their feelings.

When Sonny is there to provide comfort, to whom is he offering a shoulder?

Things get awkward between Brook Lynn and Chase. (Anybody else hoping that “awkward” translates into adorable and kinda romantic?)

Olivia can’t help but be nervous about meeting Ned so they can attend Leo’s appointment with the specialist.

Carly wants to be supportive of Sasha.

Curtis and TJ cross paths at the boxing ring. Will they talk things out while throwing a few punches?

Maurice Benard talks to Young & Restless fave about marriage and kids.

Friday, December 17:

Sasha and Brando say goodbye to their son, as Mike, in a glow of light, appears to take Liam to heaven. Plus, Marshall vows to keep Stella’s secret, and Olivia and Nina have words.

While locked up, Drew dreamed of the day he would get to spend time with Sam and Scout. Well, at long last that day has arrived! Will this be a bonding moment for the little girl’s parents?

When Curtis opens up to Portia about his concerns, will she be able to assuage his fears?

How will things go when Britt and Elizabeth find themselves unexpectedly having to interact with one another? (Wonder if they might wind up talking about Jason, a man they both loved and have seemingly lost yet again!)

Rebecca Budig (Hayden) makes an announcement that’s sure to delight her fans.

Week of December 20:

Monday, December 20:

It’s been a long time coming, but this week Nina’s preliminary hearing is finally set to start. Should she be worried about how concerned her attorney seems to be, or is that just Scott fretting over nothing? And when Nina spends a little time talking to Phyllis, will she be voicing her concerns about the case or is something else on her mind?

Willow’s emotions may get the best of her as she’s reminded of her own past. Meanwhile, aware of how high emotions are running, Carly checks in with Michael to see how he’s doing.

Who swings by Kelly’s to pay Spencer a visit?

Jason Thompson (ex-Patrick) spreads joy to the world with a video of his daughter that’ll melt your heart…

Tuesday, December 21:

With Christmas just around the corner, the residents of Port Charles gather for the annual tree-lighting ceremony. And when Santa Claus swings by General Hospital, the best gift he brings might involve a surprising reunion!

There was a time not all that long ago when Drew and Elizabeth were romantically involved. Sure, things went badly after she decided to keep his true identity a secret, but folks in this town have forgiven far worse. So we’ll definitely be keeping an eye to see if sparks fly when Liz and Drew finally cross paths.

When Spencer catches Trina and Nikolas sharing a chat, he’s naturally curious. What do his dad and the girl we probably all think he belongs with have to discuss?

Ready for some cuteness overload? Well, you better be because Finn is bringing Violet over to Anna’s place for holiday tea!

Wednesday, December 22:

‘Tis the season to be jolly, so Carly and Sonny spend some time creating holiday memories with their family. Meanwhile, Monica hosts a little get-together over at the Quartermaine mansion. (Given how that family’s events usually go, something tells us it should be interesting… ) And speaking of fetes, Alexis is hosting one as well and the best word to describe hers is raucous.

Sasha is finally being released from the hospital, and Brando is right there by her side.

Marshall decides to volunteer at the hospital, which means he’s about to cross paths with Epiphany. Here’s hoping he doesn’t push her buttons!

Thursday, December 23:

Nina’s hearing has been a long time coming, but today’s the day it officially gets underway.

When Obrecht wants to bend Scott to her will, might she use her feminine charms on him?

Josslyn and Cameron find themselves being interrupted again, while Trina and Spencer cross paths at Kelly’s.

With whom is Nikolas conducting business over breakfast at the Metro Court? And how are that restaurant’s Bloody Mary’s?

Friday, December 24:

Due to the holiday, an encore of the soap’s February 23, 2021 episode will air.

Michael and Willow process everything that has happened over the past few days.

Maxie offers Nina her support.

Britt makes a plea to Obrecht.

Anna reaches out to Peter.

It may take a while for Alexis’ life to go back to normal and we’re not surprised given the Cassadine family’s dark history...

Remember how yesterday, Johnny and Chanel were excited to share their news? Well, as we warned, today they’re put on the defensive when their parents don’t see what they’ve shared as reason to celebrate!

Kate is working hard to keep Roman from discovering the truth. (Oh, Kate, have you not learned that keeping secrets is never, ever good for a relationship?)

What convinces EJ to change his mind?

Thursday, December 23:

Jan sets a trap for Shawn, and the good guy is going to walk right into it!

We’ve long said that when Sami sets her mind to something, she tends to get it… even if that means stepping on a few toes. Well, it looks like that’s about to prove true yet again!

Even as Ciara and Ben reunite with their loved ones in time for Christmas, MarDevil gets ready to make her ultimate move!

Friday, December 24:
