Damn the General Hospital Torpedoes: Should Liz Try Love With Finn?

On General Hospital, Elizabeth Webber Baldwin impulsively kissed Hamilton Finn…then went running. We get it. Her husband has only been dead for a few months, and Finn is still nursing his wounds from the breakup with Anna Devane – not to mention unaware of what prompted Hayden Barnes to abandon him and Violet.

A Budding General Hospital Romance

So the circumstances for romance are less than optimal. But should Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) throw caution to the wind and pursue a relationship with Finn (Michael Easton), anyway? What over 2,000 voters told us:

Why Not?

This is Port Charles. The timing is never perfect for a new relationship. Or in the real world, for that matter. Which is why 44% of you are thinking, sure, why not, go for it. We understand that Liz is gun-shy and we don’t blame her, but there is more to gain here than there is to lose. For both of them.

Slow Your General Hospital Roll

Go for it, 39% of the audience hedges. But go slowly. You’ve both been hurt so many times in so many ways, gun-shy is the reasonable position to take. Plus, you’re not the only players. There are the kids, too.

Violet (Jophielle Love) liked Anna, but she still misses her mom. She wouldn’t appreciate losing another woman she’d gotten attached to. Liz’s boys, on the other hand, are used to losing father figures right and left. At a certain point, they’re not going to want to go down that road again.

Too Much, Too Soon

Liz is nowhere near ready, a last place 17% object. Franco (Roger Howarth) was her longest continuous relationship (we’re not counting the decades of on and off with Lucky Spencer) and she can’t just jump into another one while she’s still mourning him. Finn is going to have to cool his heels. And Liz will need to risk Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) returning.
