Multiple sources have shared with Soap Hub that the honeymoon is over for General Hospital’s Chad Duell and The Young and the Restless’ Courtney Hope. The couple got married in October but they’ve reportedly already split.
Chad Duell and Courtney Hope Break Up
Courtney Hope and Chad Duell had dated for about five years before tying the knot on October 23. The Steampunk-themed gala was attended by numerous soap pals. The couple posted photos from their wedding, which was covered by Soap Hub. There was buzz on social media that the two weren’t together when wedding photos featuring the couple were removed from their respective Instagram accounts.
However, some thought that maybe they had removed them because they might have an exclusive coming up in a photo-driven magazine feature. Those exclusives, however, are often negotiated ahead of time. At press time, the two were still following each other on social media. That could be a sign pointing to their split being amicable.
Their Day Jobs
On GH, Duell plays Michael Corinthos Quartermaine, the birth son of AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright); Hope plays Y&R’s Sally Spectra, a woman who is trying to rebuild her life after making a few bad choices in Los Angeles (on The Bold and the Beautiful).
At the couple’s nuptials in October, Patrika Darbo, who plays Shirley, Sally’s great aunt, wrote, “Its such a fun event. We had a wonderful Texas barbecue — chicken and beef and brussels sprouts. We’re having a nice evening…Courtney was absolutely effing fabulous in her red gown and Chad in that tuxedo! We’re having a great time!”
The couple has yet to make a statement on social media confirming the split. They haven’t totally scrubbed their respective Instagram pages of posts of them together. Each of them has one up from a wedding in May that they added. In another post, Duell and Hope are doing a challenge in which women can get on all fours, put their elbows on the floor, and their palms on their cheeks, and then, place their arms behind them — without falling down — but, men, however, cannot.
Duell tried it and sure enough, when attempting to put his hands behind him and not fall forward, he wasn’t able to do it. “Didn’t go well… @thecourtneyhope,” Duell posted. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
